Love O2O: Eps 1 to 5, First Impressions šŸ˜

I was going to give this  Chinese romcom, Love O2O, three stars, in celebration of Lunar New Year tonight.

It definitely checks all the right boxes for me. Itā€™s a light-hearted romcom about a contract marriage (or ā€œin-game marriageā€ as Netflix subbers called it) between two role-playing gamers. The lead characters are two college kids who are not only eye candies but paragons of virtue as well. I donā€™t feel like strangling the heroine every 10 minutes (eyeing you Dani of ā€œRomance is a Bonus Bookā€ and Yoorim of ā€œWhere Stars Land/Fox Bride Starā€). The story is plot-driven rather than character-driven so thereā€™s no angst-ridden introspection. Each episode is coherent and builds up the next.

What you see is what you get. Those are my reasons for liking Love O2O.

But for my blog-readers who are avid fans of Pride and Prejudice (paging @agdr03), I’m going to write a more detailed recommendation to encourage y’all to give this romcom a second look. It’s fun to watch when you’re over-worked and stressed-out like me.

Iā€™ll give you three big reasons. (Warning: spoilers. But just read the spoilers so you’ll know what to expect.)

First, online gaming = ballroom dances

As I said in ā€œMemories of the Alhambra,ā€ my gaming experience is limited to a feisty purple dragon named Spyro who hunts for dragon eggs and head-butts nasty orcs. To go from playing Spyro the Dragon to watching lead characters roleplay personas with long hair and flowing robes was a big leap for me.

The only way I could sit through numerous fight scenes of Weiwei and Xiao Nai was to view their encounters as ballroom dances.

The way I see it, the fictional university in Love O2O is as segregated as the nineteenth century England of Jane Austen. Girls dorm with girls; boys dorm with boys. Unless theyā€™re part of a couple, the students mingled with people of their own gender in and after classes, during lunch and sporting events, on weekends and schooldays.

No wonder the online game ā€œA Chinese Ghost Storyā€ was popular among students! šŸ™‚ It’s the largest venue available to students where they can interact freely with the opposite sex. Gaming doubles as a dating service for the college students.

I had to smirk when in Episode 2, the game announced that the lead charactersā€™ marriage was the 158,999th marriage on that server alone.

The anonymity of the popular game allows the students to meet others and match up with a partner without the hassles of real-life dating, e.g., vetting the other person, spending money to go on dates, surviving the dreaded introduction to their friends, and escaping a boring date.

Logging onto the game was the 21st century version of going to a ballroom dance. For instance, allies in duels are chosen like a dance partner. There are no strings attached and partners can change for the next round. Also, there are rules of interaction in the game, just as there are etiquette guidelines to courtly behavior in a ballroom. How the gamers comport themselves online — not only in battle, but in the chatgroups — reveal much about their personalities. But most importantly, partnering with someone in the game, like choosing a dance partner in a ballroom, allows the couple ample time to converse (or “chat”) and FLIRT with each other.

Thatā€™s the main reason the ex-husband dumped our heroine Weiwei (game handle: Luwei Weiwei). She didnā€™t FLIRT with him. Even though she was highly-ranked fighter and a formidable partner, he divorced her after six-months of ā€œin-game marriageā€ because a) she declined to call him a more affectionate term like ā€œhusbandā€ and b) she didnā€™t answer his request to send a photo of herself. He suspected her then of having a reason to hide her appearance, like perhaps she was ugly in real life or was only pretending to be a girl.

As it turned out, the divorce was the exā€™s loss, and Xiao Naiā€™s gain (his game handle: Yuxiao Naihe). On the day, the ex remarried an acclaimed beauty, Yuxiao Naihe appeared to propose marriage to Luwei Weiwei at the Red Sparrow Bridge (I just love the quaint name!).

She was so startled by his proposal that she asked him the equivalent of “Are you nuts?!” in gaming lingo:

YN: What do you think of the wedding?
WW: (wondering whether he came to gossip about her divorce, too) Itā€™s grand.
YN: Would you like an even grander wedding? Form an in-game marriage with me.
WW: Did your account get hacked?

šŸ˜‚

She didnā€™t know that he saw her playing the game at his uncleā€™s internet cafĆ© and was smitten by skills.

He approached to observe her because he was mesmerized by her mad gaming skills; her fingers flew on the keyboard and she was thrashing her online enemy. Her back had been turned to him, and he only caught a glimpse of her face as she stood up to leave. But her face wasn’t that important to him as her avatar on the game.

When she stood up to leave, he remained standing and gazing at her EMPTY SPOT. But when he passed her again on his way out, he didnā€™t spare HER a second glance.

In an odd way, I’m relieved that it wasnā€™t her physical looks but her avatar that attracted him to her. She didn’t want people to be judged for their outward appearances but for their inner beauty. And her avatar is how she chose to embody herself, her values and her principles in the game. For instance, her avatar is dressed modestly and she refused to accept gifts from ex-husband.

It was only after she and Xiao Nai married and played together as partners did he discover her true identity. In Episode 3, he spotted her again by chance, and this time, his friend was at his side to enlighten him of her real name and her moniker as the “Department Belle.”

Friend: What a lucky day. First (we met) the campus belle. Now, the department belle.
XN: Department belle?
Friend: Thatā€™s right. The one in the ponytail. Her name is Bei Weiwei. Last year, we had a campus beauty contest. She did well for our computer department. It proved once and for all that the computer department has pretty girls, too, although the result wasnā€™t ideal and she only got second place. No campus belle title. But department belle is good, too.

Xiao Nai turns to look at her back and smiles.

Friend: What are you smiling at?
Xiao Nai: Bei Weiwei? The name fits her.

He figured out that her avatar Luwei Weiwei was a play on her real name Bei Weiwei. (šŸ¤Ŗ An aside: I don’t know what’s up with these names, but I’m having a hard time keeping up with those double words like Weiwei, Yangyang, and Yaoyao, and the words beginning with the letters X, Y, and Z.šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø)

Friend: Whoaaa. I should buy a lottery ticket today. First, Iā€™m lucky enough to see two gorgeous girls in one day, then I heard you utter a girlā€™s name out loud. My life is complete.

XN continues to smile at friend then looks at Weiwei. She’s sipping water a mug that matched his earlier. (I don’t know the significance but I guess I’ll find out later.)

Xiao Nai: Department belle is good. Over the top is superfluous.

lol. Doesnā€™t that remark remind anyone of a ballroom scene in Pride and Prejudice when Colin Firthā€¦errā€¦ Mr. Darcy complimented Elizabeth Bennet for her fine eyes? He told Miss Bingley, ā€œI have been meditating on the very great pleasure which a pair of fine eyes in the face of a pretty woman can bestow.” Miss Bingley pounced and asked who he was referring to, and he answered, to her dismay, ā€œMiss Elizabeth Bennet.ā€

Both scenes showed the guy admiring the girl and paying her a compliment without her knowledge. In this scene, however, Xiao Nai meant that there was no need to state the obvious. It was enough to admit Weiwei’s beauty, but excessive praise was unnecessary. What’s more, her inner beauty is more captivating to him.

As his partner in the online game, he’s come to like her enough to get to know the girl in person (or in real life). The online game succeeded in making him curious enough about her to get to know her offline. Hence the title, Love O2O. That means progressing and/or developing love from online to offline.

Second, online texts = his courtship

It didnā€™t occur to me till the end of Episode 5 that, up until then, the interactions of Weiwei and Xiao Nai had occurred only in virtual reality or Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MORPG). šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø There were 30 episodes in total but the couple began speaking to each other face-to-face in Episode 5. Their first conversation was suspenseful (sarcasm alert):

Nai: Is this seat taken?
Weiwei: No.

After the end of the lecture–

Weiwei: (clears throat)
Nai: You want to get out?
Weiwei: (nods head)
She stands up and stops to express her thanks but she chokes (figuratively speaking) on the word and scurries away.

šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøHad this been a 16-episode kdrama, it would have outrageous to wait three episodes for the loversā€™ first meeting, only to hear the couple exchange 10 words! But the reason it worked here in Love O2O was that Weiwei and Xiao Nai had been constantly texting each other online.

For instance, after he approached her at the Red Sparrow Bridge and proposed, she agreed to marry him after considering the advantages of the match. Of course, she had the false impression that he only wanted a partner for the upcoming game championship. No, he actually wanted her as a partner for much longer than that… šŸ™‚ I thought it was romantic that he wanted to prepare for the wedding.

WW: Iā€™ll do it. Letā€™s go the Rock of Lives.
YN: Wait. I need to prepare for it. Eight oā€™clock, three days from now.
WW: Prepare for what?
YN: The wedding banquet.
WW: A registration will do. Itā€™s just a battle championship. Why make a big fuss?
YN: Iā€™m Yuxiao Naihe. My wedding canā€™t be haphazard. (he walks away)

Then as soon as he got her to agree to an in-game marriage, he logged out of the game with this satisfied smile on his face.

When his buddies started talking about getting dates by fixing a girlā€™s computer, he promptly — and smugly — told them he already got an in-game spouse. He declared, ā€œThat means Iā€™m a married man now. I shouldnā€™t fix another girlā€™s computer. If youā€™re interested, you should go.ā€

šŸ¤Ŗ That’s cute, and NOT cute at the same time. What’s next? Married female surgeons shouldn’t operate on men??!! So prudish.

Now, after he introduced Weiwei to the guys, the guys naturally became curious about her ex-husband. To me, she was all set to type a clarification that she and Xiao Nai were only in-game spouses for the upcoming championship, pretty much like she and her ex were only in-game spouses to achieve a quest. But Xiao Nai jumped in and answered for her. He texted the group, ā€œYes, she put her trust in the wrong guy. Donā€™t give her a hard time.ā€

She covered her face in second-hand embarrassment.

ā€œShe put her trust in the wrong guy.ā€ šŸ™„ šŸ˜‚ To her, their partnership was job-oriented or “professional.” They were partnering to win the championship game. But he turned it into a PERSONAL relationship. He was telling them all that, unlike her ex, he was somebody she could trust never to leave her side.

Well… he didnā€™t need to say this since their union was IN NAME ONLY. She had no reservation telling them about her divorce because she had kept that partnership on a strictly impersonal level and they separated without animosity. She also expected this relationship between her avatar Luwei Weiwei and Yuxiao Naihe to end after the championship.

Do you see that? Her view of the in-game marriage differs from his view.

Also, if viewers were to pay attention to details of his marriage proposal. theyā€™d realize that he pre-planned that they would marry at 8pm on the 8th day of the 8th month because 888 is an auspicious number.

She had been willing to reschedule but he refused.

WW: Are you busy that day? We can reschedule.
XN: No, the day after tomorrow is auspicious. Itā€™s good for weddings.

šŸ˜‚ This guy really makes me laugh!

Offline, his friend teased him. ā€œDude, you amaze me. You picked an auspicious day for your VIRTUAL wedding?ā€ (Yeahhh, my sentiments exactly!)

Xiao Nai simply stood up, ignoring them.

To me, it was very clear that he was taking this “marriage” much more seriously than he should.

Sure enough, at their wedding, Weiwei was surprised to discover that he invited many guests. Since these guests were expecting the groom to hand out the customary ā€œred envelopesā€ filled with money, her mind boggled at the expense he was willing to incur just so his wedding wouldnā€™t look ā€œhaphazard.ā€

Remember, SHE had been satisfied with the online game version of a civil union in a registry office. He was really making a big fuss!

When she refused his betrothal gift (because it goes against her principles to ask and accept gifts from male gamers), he pointed out that the sword was for battle. Only then did she take it.

In exchange, she handed him a ring, saying, ā€œThis is my dowry. Itā€™s not much. Iā€™ll make it up to you later.ā€ He took the ring but he told her ā€œYou don’t have to give me anything. Having you here is enough.”

The sub in Netflix said, ā€œYouā€™re all I need.ā€

Either way, I thought thatā€™s the kind of declaration which, if spoken in real life, would easily be misunderstood as premature and audacious. Theyā€™ve only met a couple of times, for pete’s sake, why was he going overboard with it?

To me, he was over-doing his role in this role-playing game. There were clear boundaries between fake and real, and between familiarity and formality, but he was blurring it.

Thereā€™s also another incident in Episode 7, when Weiwie deliberately PRETENDED to be despondent because of the flak she got from winning a game. She was feigning hurt feelings.

She texted, ā€œIā€™ve never said much. I always thought, a clean hand wants no washing. But I suddenly feel very discouraged, after getting universally condemned.ā€ The guys laughed at her because they could see through her act.

But suddenly, Yuxiao Naihe posted in a public chat room:

YN: Iā€™m offering high prices for diamond. (meaning, heā€™s buying diamonds for anybody willing to sell theirs)

His buddies were surprised that he posted in the public forum and other gamers wanted his autograph and picture. He was asked if he wanted diamonds to enhance his weapons.

YN: Nope
Gamer: Then why are you buying diamonds?
YN: So my wife can play with them.

šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£He meant that he wanted to cheer up his sad and unfairly maligned wife, so he was going to buy her diamonds. Money was no object.

Again, he went overboard.

Within the game setting, comments like that and the previous ones, “She put her trust in the wrong guyā€ and ā€œYouā€™re all I needā€ could be dismissed as a joke. He could tease her with cheesy lines, which he normally wouldn’t do in real life, because he could pass them off as “couple bantering” or love talk.

And that’s why, despite our couple not encountering each other face-to-face until Episode 5, I got the impression that they were already a ā€œcouple.” Long BEFORE they actually met in person, he treated her online as he would treat his girlfriend offline. He blurred the lines.

She didnā€™t know it yet, but he had begun COURTING her in earnest from the second he approached her on that Red Sparrow Bridge and ask her to marry him.

Last, Xiao Nai = Mr. Darcy

Hahahahahaha. Yes, he was.

I’m floored that nobody saw the similarities. If you love Mr. Darcy, you’ll love this guy.

More later… got to work.

But go ahead and watch the show. You’ll see what I mean. šŸ˜

  1. Wow! I’m so grateful to you for this update! I’ve been stuck in a drama slump since MOA got over. I tried a few dramas such as “Romance is a Bonus Book” but liked none of them. Was reduced to watching reruns of Goblin over the weekend in despair! It’s up to my head with work during the week and desperately need relaxation, just like you. So your post couldn’t have come at a better time šŸ™‚ Now I’m all set to dive into Love O2O over the weekend!!!

  2. ..and Pride and Prejudice is my favourite book of all time! I’m sold when you compared this C-drama to P&P and the hero to Mr.Darcy!
    Thank you!

  3. I cheated and watched Ep 30 because I donā€™t think I can stand another one of those open-ended šŸ˜ˆ cerebral endings RIGHT NOW, if you know what I mean….

Annnnnd what can I say? Lots of kisses. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø And he wants babies! šŸ‘¶ šŸ‘¶

So yes, this is definitely what I need right now.

  4. Pwahahaha.

Heā€™s Mr. Darcy alright! Doesnā€™t say much but he fiercely protects the ones he loves. Behind-the-scenes, too.

But of course, you have to make adjustment for the cultural norms, okay? Feminists will probably take issue with some things (like the ā€œIā€™m a married manā€) but as long as we understand where heā€™s coming from and why heā€™s doing that, then weā€™re fine.

The good thing too is itā€™s on Netflix. The subs are better in the other sites, but Netflix is convenient to access and download to watch on flights.

  5. Growing Beautifully

Heh! @packmule3, now I feel that I have to re-watch this show. I just went through it without much thought a couple of years ago, I think it was. šŸ™‚ I too love Pride and Prejudice. It’s cute how we might compare the courtship of the 18-19th century with the in-gaming interactions. I don’t know if I have time to do much else, but I will probably drop by to read your thoughts on this show. Thanks for ‘bitching’ about it!

  6. Hahaha. šŸ‘

Pride and Prejudice is a common denominator for kdrama lovers. Weā€™re looking for that show that resembles it while adapting to the cultural norm and modern thinking. The gaming world and the game design industry fit in. Itā€™s still male-dominated like in Jane Austenā€™s world, but there are women who stand out because they wonā€™t be boxed in. I like Weiwei when sheā€™s in the gaming/ballroom (lol) mode.

There was a fight scene when the guys called Xiao Nai a ā€œdeadbeatā€ husband because he sat in the sideline and played his instrument while Weiwei fought the monsters. šŸ™‚ I thought that was romantic. And it reminded me of that scene in P&P when Colin Fir…err… Mr Darcy was watching Elizabeth Bennett play the piano and admiring her although his own sister was a more accomplished pianist. I like a guy who can appreciate her woman the way she is, at whatever level she may be. šŸ‘

So yes, I can watch this show as fluff but šŸ˜‚ being a bitch, you know, Iā€™ll twist and turn it around and see if we can find something else we can relate it to, other than plain good old ā€œfeelsā€.

  7. @packmule3: i echo exactly your sentiments on endings! My heart can’t handle another open-ended final episode right now!!! You saved me that trouble too ā¤

  8. Okay, you convinced me to re-add this to my watchlist. (Though I’ll also be looking out for Zheng Ye Cheng, cutest guy ever). Pride and Prejudice? Who didn’t love Mr Darcy! Especially Colin Firth’s Mr Darcy. I’ve watched that Brit version a million times. Love O2O will also be on Viki soon (however Viki defines “soon”).

  9. Howdy šŸ™‚

Firstly, I have a confession to make. I have not seen nor read Pride and Prejudice. I have heard lots about it but my fave author while I was in my twenties was Jude Deveraux and Danielle Steele. šŸ™‚ I hope I won’t get banned from the blog āœŒļø šŸ™šŸ» Sorry ladies! šŸ™‚

I am however planning to watch it now but it will be after watching Love O2O. I searched online about it and the leads are eye candy and they do look good together. I like what you wrote above and because it is on Netflix. The guy is smitten already by the looks of it šŸ™‚ Looks like my me time is full now šŸ™‚

Which is the best Pride and Prejudice movie to watch? With Colin Firth? šŸ™‚ Is it better if I watch it first before watching Love O2O?

  10. The Colin Firth version is longer. Go for the Matthew MacFayden/Kiera Knightley one if you’re pressed for time.

The guy is smitten. More so than the girl, at first. The girl has a big crush on him, but he knows who she is and he likes her.

And oh! I like how he deals with her enemies.

And you get lots of kisses. And an implied “disrobing” at the end. You don’t see naked bodies, but you see her kimono/bathrobe landing on the floor. lol. So woohoooo!!

After Fluttering Alert and Memories of the Alhambra, I’m starving for kisses.

  11. You can catch Love O2O on kissasian. Since it’s on netflix, I couldn’t take screenshots so I went to kissasian instead.

Colin Firth. hahaha. I read he married this Italian lady who had an affair while they were temporarily separated. lol. I heard from my Brit cousins that they were ready to boil her in a vat of olive oil for doing THAT to their national treasure, Colin Firth, when so many women could only dream of Colin Firth.

And get this, Colin Firth took her back after her affair. Oooofff.

    https://www.eonline.com/news/922725/colin-firth-and-wife-livia-make-first-public-appearance-since-affair-and-stalking-scandal

  12. Kisses. I want kisses.

This time, I skipped and watched Ep 30 to make sure I get my happily ever after AND kisses. The ending is swoonworthy.

    This is a spoiler:

He told her that they were driving down to her parents (instead of taking the plane/train) because that was where she GREW UP.

Huh??? She couldn’t get the connection.

So he explained that they needed the car because when they were driving back up with lots of her old things.

…because he decided that he wasn’t going to return her to her parents ever. He was going to keep her.

  13. “And you get lots of kisses. And an implied ā€œdisrobingā€ at the end. You donā€™t see naked bodies, but you see her kimono/bathrobe landing on the floor. lol. So woohoooo!!”

Done deal! Just like that! I am on episode 1 šŸ¤£ I have missed kisses too! šŸ˜

She does like him too! Bonus! šŸ™‚

I will watch it on the weekend, the Kiera Knightley one. Oh poor Colin. But he must love her to take her back like that. That’s a no for me.

  14. Oh well that spoiler is my version of ‘you had me at hello’! šŸ™‚

Thank you for the recommendation! šŸ˜˜

  15. Colin Forth took back his wife who waa having an affair?! Is he for real?!?!šŸ˜®šŸ˜®šŸ˜®

Colin Firth as Mr.Darcy is so ingrained in my memory that I honestly couldn’t stomach Matthew Macfayden as Mr.Darcy in the movie, though I did like Kiera Knightley’s portrayal of Elizabeth Bennett.

I love how you describe the ending @packmule3! Kisses and happy endings..wow! Just what I need on Netflix right now! Keep the updates coming – would love to discuss the C-drama with everyone here once I start watching it šŸ˜ŠšŸ˜Š

  16. **sorry for the typos…stupid auto-correct on my phone seems to think forth is a better option than firth…haha
Will comment on your next post @packmule3 once I’ve watched the first 5 episode šŸ™‚

  17. I can’t crush on the actor Yang Yang (?) because that will make me a pedophile-grandma but yes, I understand why he has a fan club.

He reminded me of Ji Chang Wook (an actor I liked in Healer) so I googled if anybody else thought the same thing. I saw this YT videoclip. Enjoy!

    https://youtu.be/giCEdqmo3Go

  18. At first I couldn’t stand Matthew Macfayden’s interpretation, too, but I realized that they were re-interpreting Mr. Darcy to fit the hmmm….let’s say, feminists’ metrosexual/non-alpha type of guy. And it worked! lol.

I’ll have to explain this some more later. šŸ˜€

  19. I liked Ji Chang Wook too, both in Healer and in Suspicious Partner (another kdrama which I find cute). Thanks for the YouTube link ā¤

Yeah, I get that metrosexual/non-alpha type guys are more politically correct in the 21st century, but I never thought Mr.Darcy was the aggressive, overbearing alpha type (maybe I’m biased). Sure he was arrogant and had a cold exterior, but he didn’t have that “my way or highway” attitude that so many romance alpha heroes have. I don’t think someone with Lizzie’s fiercely independent mindset would have accepted such an attitude and fallen for him. I do think that kdrama heroes are sometimes too overbearing (dragging heroine by hand, forced kisses etc.), but Mr.Darcy never did things like that.
Would love to hear your take on that someday, @packmule3 šŸ˜ŠšŸ˜Š

  20. Hmmmm…how do I say it without sounding homophobic, which I’m not of course. Let’s just say he could play the part of the metrosexual/non-alpha type of guy quite easily. But I also didn’t like him in his other British show Spooks. I think it was called MI-5 in the U.S. Some of my younger students who didn’t know Colin Firth’s Darcy loved the movie.
Colin Firth’s Pride is on Hulu! Perhaps I’ll watch along with Love O2O and when it gets to the scenes with Zheng Ye Cheng I’ll watch a bit of Oriental Odyssey on Viki.

  21. Waaaaaaaa!!! Addicted! šŸ˜‚

That first meeting in XNā€™s Fatherā€™s lecture! That administration look when WW answered the question! Swoon! šŸ˜

His almost smile is definitely starting to kill me šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

Ooooh I like JCW too! I think heā€™s a very good actor too. That video is cute! They do look alike! šŸ˜„

XNā€™s little jealousies are cute! šŸ˜„

  22. Growing Beautifully

Hah! I’m in good company. I really like JCW since Healer Days. He’s such a dork in real life too. He’ll be out of the army soon. As of today, he’s got 79 days to go before coming back to civilian life.

    https://jichangwookkitchen.com/2019/02/05/news-lunar-new-year-wishes-from-ji-chang-wook/

Of the versions of P & P, I was super crazy over the Colin Firth/Jennifer Ehle version which I re-watched to death, so it took me some time to ‘care for’ the MacFadyen/Knightley version, which was a movie and not a series.

Still, Pride & Prejudice in any form that is mostly faithful to Jane Austen will always rule for me!!

  23. What? Youā€™re in Ep 5 already??!

Yes, his smiles are addictive. But donā€™t you dare turn into a fangirl now, @agdr03! Just donā€™t. šŸ˜‚

    And what ā€œlittleā€ jealousies?

  24. Episode 8 now as I type this šŸ˜‚ Letā€™s just say while the Boss is away, I played šŸ˜‚ But only for today. šŸ˜‚

Ok ok I will not be a fan girl since thereā€™s so many actors n actresses in China šŸ˜Š Better keep it admiration for the chemistry of the leads and how beautiful/handsome they look separately and together.

Example of little jealousy was when XN challenged CG to basketball šŸ˜‚ It was already finished but one of the boys said heā€™s courting WW and oh boy šŸ˜‚ XN dropped his bag and said ā€˜I need a rematch because I didnā€™t play hardā€™ something like that šŸ˜‚

  25. Oh! That one. šŸ¤Ŗ

I like the set-up of the story where the guy is the one chasing the girl. We usually have the girl crushing on the guy first.

And I like it when the story is told from the boyā€™s perspective. We see why heā€™s doing what heā€™s doing. Like that jealousy basketball match. Lol.

  26. Lol! I just realised autocorrect typed administration instead of admiration šŸ˜‚ Think itā€™s time to sleep šŸ˜“

Yes! I like it that the girl has no clue that the boy likes her too. To the point of stalking even šŸ˜¬šŸ˜‚ I remember when I was in primary, there was this boy who kept pulling my hair, nudging me around for about a year but he later told me that he liked me. I had no clue whatsoever šŸ˜‚ Poor dude! That was in Year 6.

Anyway Iā€™m looking forward to when she realises that itā€™s the hottest guy in Campus that likes her ā˜ŗļø
