Edited to add the answer key at bottom of page.

I’m away today so I’m giving y’all homework.

What do you think of this?

I’ll post my interpretation later — after I’ve received at least three responses from you, including the lurking readers. Don’t be shy now.

Edited: Answer key found here, lol.

He’s Psychometric: On “The Little Prince”

  1. Howdy! No exam but we have homework. 😩🤣

I did noticed that single shot of the whole background poster and it has to mean something.

My take is that LA is that sad looking boy on the right corner. Since loosing his parents at a young age, he really didn’t have anyone and with his psychometric ability, he feels the burden of it. He feels like he’s the only one in the whole universe.

Hyung said he needs time to think things through after finding out the connection between his parents and JaeIn’s Dad. Hyung was right because LA realised that JaeIn didn’t do anything wrong.

  2. 😂 No cookies for you if you don’t do your homework! 🍪🍪🍪

Yes, I agree. That boy on the right corner is Lee Ahn. (But it could be Sungmo, too.)

    Good morning!

  3. Its The Little Prince (one of Jinyoung’s favorite book, hehe).

The Little Prince tells us that it is important to look beneath the surface to find the real truth and meaning of a thing. The main leads of the story could be interpreted as Jaein as the rose, Ian as the little prince, Seongmo as the fox. And particularly in this scene, Seongmo told Jaein about the truth about her dad, and ask her to stick to Ian and wait for his return.

I think its another symbolization to the story, like what they always did with The Mask, Red Riding Hood, etc.

  4. Awesome! I thought nobody would get the book! You’re right. Sungmo = fox, Jaein = rose, Lee Ahn = Little Prince

But let’s go two steps deeper, okay? lol. Why do you think I haven’t discussed Lee Ahn’s crisis in this episode? I didn’t ignored him. I was waiting for at least three people to answer the “homework”. 🙂

I’m brain-dead from work. Need sleep to rest my overheating neurons and relax my wrinkled brows. I’ll write my post when I wake up.

    See y’all in the morning!

  5. I didn’t see your reply to me this morning until now. Bummer! Anyway yes the Prince can be Sungmo too. He’s sad because like LA, he doesn’t have anyone and as much as he wants to open up to the whole universe, he’s struggling because of his past.

I’ll see if my brains can come up with the answer to your question.

    Good night! ☺️

  6. ahahaha, any Jinyoung’s fans would know its The Little Prince because Jinyoung and the Little Prince is a famous pair for us 😀

Uhmm… why you havent discussed Ian’s crisis? because you want to make a reference to this the Little Prince (obviously, lol).

Ian is looking for answer thruout the drama, he’s always be the one who other people look for as a person who will find the answer (what happened to the dead bodies, what is Seongmo hidden agenda, whether Jaein’s dad is the real culprit, etc.), just like the Little Prince, he’s looking for answers. Also, especially in Ep 10, Ian had a self-battle and is looking for answers for his dilema. At his parents’ graveyard he said “no matter how hard i think about it, i still couldn’t find the answer”, and then he went to Yeongsang Apartment to look for answers from 13 years ago too.

Aahh I’m looking forward to your review, kekekekee.. Good morning btw, its evening for me here 😀

  7. Morning! Rise and shine! 🌞

I know you didn’t forget about Lee Anh but is it something to do with his first read which is JaeIn’s Dad’s handkerchief?

Thanks in advance for the enlightenment! ☺️

  8. What enlightenment? It’s more like mayhem and confusion from me. 😉

Wait — the hanky has to go with the bribery and Det Nam.

No, the story of the Little Prince mirrors Episode 10’s drama between Lee Ahn and Jaein.

What?! I’ve been awake since 5 am! Already did my morning jog, showered, read morning news, wrote a couple of things for the office.

am now sipping coffee and thinking of what to write about the Little Prince while waiting for my hubby to leave for work first. 🙂 I don’t want interruption because S.E.R.I.O.U.S. kdrama analysis is about to happen. hahaha

    See you later!

  9. 😂 I wasn’t sure exactly what time of the morning you’d read my post, I just knew it’ll be morning. So you’ve finished the rise, now you’re shining! 😉

The enlightenment I was referring to was you explaining about LA like you said before. I’m not familiar with The Little Prince. I’m late in the fan club of JinYoung 😄

I better behave here while you’re doing the S.E.R.I.O.U.S kdrama analysis. 🤭 I don’t want to get in trouble. 🤗

  10. Can’t wait for your analysis cos im too ignorant to notice things tbh! But i did see the poster but i didn’t think too deep into it :’)

  11. To be honest i suck at analysis 😅😅 But i do know that book is The Little Prince. Maybe the prince is LeeAhn. In the whole episode he has been trying to find answers. Without thinking of his pain he just wants to find answers so he could be with the person he loves. But he is struggling. Thats why he is sadly looking at the flower. Maybe the director/writer put it there to portray seung mo and Jae In are not the only ones suffering. Or maybe it could indicate the answer to these twos confusion is LeeAhn.

  12. Nahhh. You’re a teacher’s pet. 🙂

You haven’t read “The Little Prince”? Don’t worry. I probably read it three times now. Once in English, once in French, and then once last night in gibberish (because I was half-asleep). pwahahaha. I’m not really into these inspirational/idealistic books. Give me Machiavelli’s political treatise “The Prince” anytime.

  13. Good evening! 😊

No I haven’t read The Little Prince. Sounds like an interesting read though, even The Prince that you said. 😊 I can’t say I’ve read a lot of other books besides Shakespeare in high school and the romantic novels 😄.

    Teacher’s pet 🤗

  14. I’m late to this party but I would have recognized the book, I’ve seen its cover & drawings so many times. It’s been a time since I read it though and I don’t remember enough details of the story between the rose and the prince to make a connection to Lee Ahn & Jae In’s drama in episode 10.
But I’ll read your post about it soon 🙂
