Ugh! This director is really overdoing it with the sunflower.
Here is Jisoo putting a pot of sunflowers on her desk.

And this one. She was leaving the hospital, and Lee Ahn chased after her to ascertain that she was fine. She said (lied?) that she was. “I’m used to getting rejected by Sungmo.” She told them that she’d them after Jaein was discharged and she walked away. But look at her body language. She looked as dejected during that elevator talk with Sungmo in Ep 6.
But look at her sweater and those sunflowers in the corner. lol. (Is the director moving the sunflower prop from one site to another??) She’s wearing the YELLOW sweater again.
We got it already. It’s been there since Episode 2. Here’s Sungmo.
Let’s make a bet. That pendant hanging from the rear view mirror was probably a gift from Kang Sungmo. lol. That would round out the story.

Sungmo and his Mom didn’t meet. 😞 She just left her thin ring and got given to him. Apparently she tried to commit suicide on December 17, the date when the police held the press conference for Kim Gab Young for killing the two ladies. After Mom recovered, she left again. So who knows where she could be?
Sungmo has been confiding with a Priest about everything and he said to him don’t act hastily. Sungmo then said if only he’d ask for help from JaeIn and LA’s Dad before then he might not have any issues now.
You should pass to LA your explanation on The Little Prince because he read the book but he can’t understand it. 🤣
I love their hospital scenes, the reassurance of going through this thing together with faith and belief in each other. That teary scene was spot on. No wrinkling of the face, just tears going down. Hands down to JinYoung and Shin Ye-eun.!!! The kiss was just right! I like that JaeIn told him first outright that she likes LA. Meanwhile LA just responded by kissing her. 😍
Poor Jisoo, working hard on putting the pieces together but of course without Sungmo. She’s rejected again. She had been told twice in the episode today to be careful. The one that you posted and at the hospital by JaeIn.

anyway i’m just suuper happy that people (non-fans) are acknowledging and appreciating Jinyoung’s talent. and through your bitch review here, i got more in depth understanding of the drama, thanknyou, this drama is really a good drama from many aspects.
And just to add one more shameless promotion, the director said they waited for a perfect actor to play Lee Ahn’s role for 5 years, paid attention for Jinyoung’s acting since 2012, and finally offered him the role in 2018. Thank God Jinyoung chooses to play in this drama.

Yes. I watched Yang Yang or what’s his character’s name? LinDong? But what scene did you want me to look at? Was it a romantic scene? I didn’t see a romantic scene.
I thought if they re-made Hwayugi or “Journey to the West”, he could play the lead role of Monkey. He looked like mischief personified or Puck in Midsummer Night’s Dream. Who was his love interest? The fairy or the younger one who was mumbling in her sleep, “embrace her”?
The sunflower pendant looks like it’s a necklace. The sunflower pendant is attached to the chain by a bale and if she got the necklace for herself, then why isn’t she wearing it? 😂 Sungmo’s not the type to wear that around his neck.
I think Sungmo consciously tried to put a distance between them, especially when he heard her say that there were speculations and rumors about them dating. He didn’t want her hurt.

I think the story is building up on her base on that last scene of the teaser where JaeIn said her name on the phone and LA was looking at JaeIn. Let’s hope it’s not tragic for her. 🤞🏻

He didn’t panic when he heard that Jaein went missing. Lee Ahn was already stabbed. So we’re left with Jisoo. Let’s see if her injury will push him over the edge. 😂

Having said that this drama is really good and refreshing (im not just saying this with a biased heart 😂). The storyline doesnt drag and the actors express the emotions so well. And these reviews make it all that better. It opens my eyes to so much and i cant wait to see your interpretation on todays episode especially the bird.

Yes, I remember reading something about her and Hyun Bin shopping for groceries here in the US after HB’s Memories of the Alhambra. Who goes shopping for groceries with an acquaintance?? Especially with the korean mindset where, thanks to kdrama tropes, shopping for groceries has been ingrained as a very “couple” thing to do. It was probably on their “to-do” checklist and they thought nobody would recognize them.

But yes, that’s the reason I didn’t want to watch that “Something in the Rain.” SHE looked gross with HIM. The visuals would have been different if she had been paired with a rugged looking guy. Say, the guy in “The Crowned Clown,” Yoo Seung Ho of “Ruler of the Mask,” Yoon DoJoon or Ok Taecyeon.

On why Jisoo is “related” to sunflower.
Do you know that Korean loves the term SUNFLOWER very much. Sunflower in korean is 해바라기 (hae-baragi) which literally translates to “looking at the sun.” so when the sunflower nickname is used, it means you only look/focus at that person. Like the literal sunflower which always look at the sun directly to continue to bloom.
This means, Jisoo only look/focus on Sungmoo her whole life.
Sungmo, to her, is his sun. Jisoo, herself, is the sunflower 🌻.
