Okay. The Great Ramen War was a dud but I’m obligated to follow up with a report.
Nissen Ramen won.
Why?
Because that Shin Black was too spicy for this un-Spice Girl.
All the time I was psyching myself for the saltiness of these instant noodles, I should have been worrying about the spiciness.
I remember reading an article explaining that pepper plants have that spicy compound, capsaicin, in their peppers as a deterrence from hungry animals. The mammals consider the peppers inedible because the spiciness give them great burning sensation.
Well, Shin Black definitely burned my mouth. Ouwwie!
Excuse me, sirs. My tongue’s on fire. Help, please?? lol.
Anyway, I endured about half a bowl and then I dumped the rest in the sink.
Lesson learned: Add only half of the orangey powder (this must have been the spice flavor) in the broth next time.
Who else cannot tolerate spicy food?
How many packs you eat?
6-pack? 8-pack? #eh 😅😅😅😅
that picture make me forget what’s the actual topic lol
😂Which six pack are you referring to? The ramen or the firemen?
😉😉😉
Sassy!
I’m buying another Ramen cup this weekend now that I know to avoid SPICY 🌶 ramen. No wonder the Nissen is #1 seller here in the US. It matches the palate of typical Americans.
