Since I once poked fun at Lee Seunggi’s heels (gasp!), I must also give credit when he wears something cool.
Chelsea boots!
Chelsea boots are the ultimate coolest “I’m a bad boy; you’d better believe it” footwear. If the guy pairs it with slim jeans, and then styles it with a classic leather biker jacket (or leather overcoat like LSG), he projects the image of someone you don’t want to mess around with unless you’re wanting a bruiser on your eye or stitches on your head. There’s a reason why Chelsea boots have been around for since Queen Victoria’s shoemaker fashioned them: they exude kickass-ery.
Kickass’ing since February 3, 2018.
The beauty of Lee Seunggi’s Chelsea boot is the simplicity. It has no laces, no frills. Just all-black with elegant lines. Plus, there’s nothing bulging or elevated or out of place (like heels). The elastic at the ankles meant he just slipped the shoes on with minimum fuss…and bitches like me don’t like fussy men.
Personally, I like to wear strappy high heels because there’s something sexy about untying the straps and making the other person wait for you to undress (you’ll understand this when you’re married… ) but I sigh whenever I see buckles and straps on men’s footwear. Really??? What are you wearing, my man? Toddler shoes?
Chelsea boots define a man of action and they were the right pair of shoes for OhGong to wear in this episode.
And yes LSG’s coordinator did well here. She redeemed herself after those tacky platform shoes in Episode 7.
