Since you brought this preview up, I have to give you my heart-calming (lol) perspective on this.

Also Dr. Ye is opposing the treatment of a ‘boy’? Which people are assuming to be Ha Suk Jin (from the cameo). So due to which Bo Young thinks Dr. Ye isn’t as good as she thought. I’m hoping the boy isn’t Ha Suk Jin. Which might explain why dr.ye isn’t interested in giving him treatment,jealous much? Also the fact that Min Ho is oblivious about the fact that Bo Young isn’t over Dr. Ye yet, and wants to confess himself. *Plot thickens.

I told y’all that I found Dr. Ye inflexible even before Chief Yang and Dr. Park started calling Dr. Ye “inflexible” on the show. It’s a good thing he’s changed a bit like in the last episode when he decided to go to drinks with his “superiors”.

His inflexibility is incompatible with BoYoung’s compassionate nature. She’s all heart, as we can know.

I can see him denying treatment BUT not out of jealousy. That would be petty of him (remember his bathroom DefCon moment?) and it would violate his physician’s code of ethics. I think his problem will be denying a patient treatment either because he thinks treatment is futile or because he thinks his services are being abused or being insulted — something like what Dr. Kim had to go through in Episode 10. I can see him getting on his high horse and leaving that patient to get his point across.

And I can see how his attitude can be tied back or linked back to the sagwa/apple incident in Episode 2. Back then, MinHo learned that he let his pride get in the way of service. He told BoYoung, “Stop crying already. I should be the one to cry. It’s not like cutting apples is hard.  As a mere trainee, I let my pride get the best of me. I don’t have a right to be there, just like you said.”

But what about Dr. Ye’s pride? I found his pride insufferable (i.e., his advices, his cold rejection of his ex-lover, his lack of respect for his colleagues, his disdain for his “inferiors,” his aversion to rumors attached to HIM in particular, his rudeness) but he hasn’t been called out on it yet.

Hopefully, BoYoung will see this side of him, too. She’s always given him the benefit of the doubt and tried to see his good side because she had a crush on him.

And maybe it will happen this coming episode. 🙂

Instead of being worried about the next episode because of the previews – which we all know are misleading – I look forward to it.

I don’t know who this Ha Suk Jin. Who’s he? He looks familiar but I can’t place him.

That’s one advantage I guess about not knowing a lot about actors. I don’t have biases and I can start with a clean page. With Warm and Cozy, I thought the guy looked like a horse. I learned belatedly that he was Chilbongie from Reply 1994.
