For @agdr —
Here’s the old news on CJM’s dating life. He dated a gangster’s daughter, not a chaebol daughter.

Chun Jung Myung Reveals He Once Dated The Daughter Of A Gang Member
Actor Chun Jung Myung proved that life does imitate art as he revealed he once dated the daughter of a gang member!
During an interview for his movie “Risking Life For Love,” he shared that he once risked his life for love a few times. He said, “An ex-girlfriend of mine was incredibly popular and had a lot of friends. I had heard that her father was scary, but I later found out that he was in a gang.”
He continued, “One time, she said that her parents left for a trip and so I went over to hang out. But suddenly, the parents came back into the house. I hid in the wardrobe, but it broke and I eventually got caught. I got beat up a lot. I felt like my life was in danger at that time.”
He also talked about his style of dating, revealing, “When I’m in a relationship, I’m a nice guy. Similar to my character in the movie, I try to match to my girlfriend. And so when I received this role, I was happy.”
“Risking Life For Love” will be released on December 14 and is a romantic comedy that also incorporate thriller elements as it tells the story of three individuals involved in a serial murder case. It also stars Ha Ji Won and Bolin Chen.

I laughed at his description of getting beaten up by the girlfriend’s dad.
Another interesting thing here: According to him, when he dated, he would try to match, complement or suit the girl. He adapted to the girl’s personality.
Hmmm…this movie intrigues me now. If you find the subbed version, tell me, okay?

Updated with SPOILERS from movie.
It’s on Viki. But I don’t think I want to watch it right now. I took a few screenshots of the ending. (warning: spoilers)

lol. Why does this guy end up with cheesy lines??
Then the kiss. The kiss is nothing to write home about. It’s bland. As @agdr03 says, HJW is known to be a bad kisser (and I guess, so is CJM, lol.) BTW, notice that he was also lying on his back injured when HE got kissed.
The movie sounds interesting! And Chen Bolin is one of my favourite Taiwanese actors. Anyway I did a quick search and I think the movie is available on Viki. It’s not available in my country though.
Aigoo! He went to the girlfriend’s house to ‘hang out’. No wonder you got beaten up! LOL! Maybe the ex-girlfriend wanted to test him and see whether he can withstand her Dad. The film was with Ha Ji Won, another not so great kisser! LOL!
Hmmm he’s a nice guy when his got a girlfriend. Interesting. What is his age? Everyone of my OTP never ended up together so I haven’t shipped any for a long time. I’ve learned my lesson from following an OTP for over 12 years. I got burned. LOL!
Thanks for this Chinggu. If you happen to watch the movie, please update me 🙂
It’s on viki??
Should I watch it and report to you all? Am I being obsessive? stalkerish?? hahaha.
Yes. I’ve heard of Chen Bolin but I can’t remember when, how or why. Was he on some dating or pretend marriage show?
My “favorite” Taiwanese actor is Jerry something. Wang? Yan? He appeared on the only Taiwanese drama that I ever finished. Most of them I drop midway because the girls are portrayed as idiots. Same with this Jerry Wang drama. The girl was a pushover but I stuck with it because I didn’t know any better back then.
IIRC the actress’ name was Ella. And she carried a fridge (Yup, a fridge! That was how the show hooked me in!) on her back in the opening scene. lol.
I updated it for you and @agdr03 with screenshots of the final seconds.
You know I don’t ship actors in a kdrama. I don’t want to know about their love lives after the filming ends.
But I don’t get why he was beaten up just for hanging out in the GF’s house?? Unless they were doing something else other than “hanging out.” And he could hardly defend himself against the GF’s dad, could he? Can you imagine him punching the dad in return??
I updated this post with some screenshot of the movie. I think I’ll pass for now.
Oh my! Maybe that’s why we’re not getting any kissing because of the above 😀 I will pass too 🙂 I reckon they were doing something other than hanging out hehehe He said he felt he was in danger so Dad must have hit him hard. Poor thing 🙁 . Anyway thank you for this.
I only ship when the chemistry is out of this world and inside info is reliable hehehehe
Ready to sleep? 🙂
Which Taiwanese series was that? Meteor Garden? I only watched one Taiwanese too, Autumn Concerto 🙂
I watched a really good drama with Chen Bolin and the female lead is not an idiot. Recommend?
What’s that drama? I might check it out.
The Taiwanese dramas that I tried and dropped because of the idiotic female leads are Smiling Pasta, It Started With a Kiss (and its sequel. I checked it out to see if she changed…nope!), Fated to Love You and Down With Love.
Down With Love is the one with Jerry Yan. I could say that I technically “finished” it because I watched the beginning, parts of the middle, and the ending.
I just googled Chen Bolin. I remember now where I’d see him before. As the virtual husband of Song JiHyo! I also remember now that he spoke English and it sounded sexy. lol.
I was already sleeping!
I might give his other kdrama, Heart to Heart, a look-see later. If I’ve time.
Do you intend to watch any other drama? What about this Memories of Alhambra?? If it’s a romcom I might watch it, too.
I just replied to @joonminfan.

I dunno. They were all the same. They were all the helpless, unlucky, Pollyanna type of character (Did you read Pollyanna when you were a kid?) when I’m more a Nancy Drew devotee. 😀
@packmule3 the drama is “In Time With You”. There was a Korean remake starring Ha Ji Won and Lee Jin Wook, but I didn’t watch it. You can give In Time With You a try! I promise the female lead is not idiotic.
Will do. I think I read a synopsis of that kdrama. I found it interesting (they were long-time friends, right?) but for some reason, I couldn’t warm up to Ha Ji Won. I know she’s a good actress but I can’t GET her.
Not even in Secret Garden. I thought THAT was weak, too. Her character started out strong and then, suddenly she became all wimpy and took all that crap from the guy’s mother. Ugh!
Same with King Two Hearts. I thought she was some killer assassin and then suddenly…ugh… she turned damsel-in-distress.
And the problem too with her is that she can’t do AEGYO like Yoon EunHye. She looks unnatural and awkward — like a dude pretending to be cute. lol.
That was a dangerous relationship,i am not an insensitive person but this part made me laugh.
He continued: “Once, she said that her parents went on a trip and I went to hang out. But suddenly, the parents returned to the house. I hid in the closet, but it broke and I was eventually trapped. They beat me up a lot. I felt that my life was in danger at that moment. “
😂 Same here.
I read that as him making fun of himself. Or exaggerating a story to make people laugh. Had his life been actually in trouble I don’t think he’d make a joke like that —- publicly, too.
I mean, the gangster dad could still go after him, after this interview, and beat him “up a lot” a second time, right? Just imagine him going to his premiere with a black eye and on crutches….
😂🤣🤪
I thought you might be sleeping already? LOL!
I am not familiar with those Taiwanese dramas that you mentioned. I’ve heard of In Time With You but I didn’t watch it too because I don’t know the actor/actress there. I have to at least like one of the leads in a drama for me to get interested. I am not into Ha Ji Won too. I didn’t mind Secret Garden though.
Tell me if Heart to Heart is any good.
No, I have not read Pollyanna when I was a kid hehehe I am familiar with Nancy Drew though 🙂 But my starting books were Mills & Boons 🤣 because my Aunty had lots of them.
My two take-alway scenes from Secret Garden:
1. The whipped cream coffee kiss. That was sooo cheesy. And PG-13. Give me a second and I can think of X-rated things to do with whipped cream. 😈
2. The push-up face-to-face. Really! Where do the writers come up with these ideas?! (But I love this one!) I even remember a commercial that spoofed it so the viewers can look directly at Hyun Bin’s face as he did his work-our. Oooohh, joy!
Good evening! 🙂
I’ll give you 1 minute to give us the X-rated things to do with whipped cream. 😉
I have to say I did like that push-up face to face scene. Mind you though after re-watching it just recently, I don’t know why I watched it in the first place. Hyun Bin’s character was sooooooo mean and nasty!
You’re such a gangster!! Giving me orders like that….
I have the gifs from soompi that you liked. Will post them shortly.
LOL! I thought I’d try!
Oooohhhh really? Thank you! Thank you! 😘
