This is one swoon-worthy moment.

Part of me (the saner one) is snickering when he looked pissed at the rain, covered her head with his hand and then stood in front of her to prevent the raindrops from splashing on her.
— like he was some kind of Superman valiantly taking hits from water pistols laser guns.
But the other half of me (the giddy one) is busy taking screenshots of this moment. It is such a frivolous, over-the-top scene but I don’t care.
lol. Blocking the rain with his hand… She carried a big purse with her. If she didn’t want to get wet, she could have used that bag to shield herself.
This was a good camera. But from this angle, the rain looked like it was see-through barrier.
If I were Weiwei, would have told him that he was obstructing my view. He should have lowered himself so I could see his pretty face better.
He was worried about her catching a cold? He should have been more worried about his girl’s heart palpitations from standing too close to him.
He was moving this way and that. He was probably trying to look at the sky for rain clouds to see how long the downpour would last.
But she thought he was moving away from her and instinctively clutched his waist.
He was surprised that she grabbed him.
And he smiled that she herself was probably unaware that she had pulled him close to her. She wasn’t trying to flirt with him or make a move on him.
So he asked her, “Are you also worried that I’ll catch a cold?”
She raised her eyebrows to say yes.
And he smiled at her shyness.
Then, she released her arm around his waist.
And he noticed it right away.
lol. Again, he was smiling at her shyness.
Her next move? Change the topic. Of course. She was telling herself to calm down and act normal.
He gave her his undivided attention.
He explained why Old Man Yu was there. Remember? She was going to surprised him because she expected him to be all alone in his office.
She She asked if it was about the sample demo of the the New Chinese Ghost Story.
And he nodded yes.
And now SHE was looking at his lips.
Of course, when he was that close to her, he knew what she was looking at. And he smiled.
lol. I thought he was going to lean in to kiss her already.
The mood definitely called for a kiss. It was misty and they were alone.
See that? I thought she, too, was getting ready for his kiss.
But just like that, the rain stopped. lol. Saved by the rain!
And he started smiling.
She noticed his smile
And asked him what was he smiling for?
If I were Nai, I’d be smiling at the rain, too. You see,
earlier, I was annoyed with the rain for getting her wet. But now I’m even MORE annoyed with the rain for stopping just when I was about to make my move and kiss my girl.
Poor rain! It’s damn if you do, it’s damn if you don’t.
But this innocent girl wouldn’t understand if I explained to her why I was really smiling, so I’d say, “Nothing.”
Instead, I’d tell her that the weather was great.”I just think that since you got here even the weather has gotten better.”
And of course, she’d look at me like “What are you saying? It just rained??!”
lol. She brought the rain with her everywhere. It rained at her hometown when she went back. And now, it rained here on the day she arrived.
Look at her big eyes, looking confused.
And if I were Nai, I’d let her puzzle over that…
while leaning in to kiss her.
Because if I were Nai, I would have continued where I left off before the stupid rain stopped. I would have a one-track mind, you see.
lol. She was still staring at the lips.
And of course, the shy girl would be embarrassed being kissed in public.
But if I were Nai, my answer would have been “So?” My no-response was a response.
But then Weiwei spotted two girls smiling at them…just as she feared.
As usual, when she’s embarrassed, she runs.
So there you go. My take on the kiss.
*************
By the way, does it ever strike you that Xiao Nai…no, Yang Yang runs like he’s dancing ballet? I noticed this in Episode 10 when he entered the gym with his teammates. And I noticed it again here when Weiwei grabbed his hand and started running.
He runs like he’s a Nutcracker Prince on stage. Too elegant.
Good observation on Yang Yang’s moves like a dancer. He was trained as a dancer from age 12 to 17. I was totally mesmerized by this Youtube video on a graduation dance in 2008. He danced with joy.

lol! This series leaves me questioning my drama taste!! I find myself simultaneously gagging and fawning over it.
The twin girls reminded me of ‘The Shining’ apparitions!
Yang Yang is a dancer and you should check out how gracefully he sells us tea!! 😛
Waaaaaaaaaaa! Loving this gifs!!!! 😍 😍 😍 Thank you!!!
If I were Weiwei, would have told him that he was obstructing my view. He should have lowered himself so I could see his pretty face better.
Nah! WeiWei could look at his face even if he didn’t lower himself especially his lips, which she did.
It’s amazing how Dashen Nai can read her like a book! Who cares if it was a public place! 😄
I haven’t paid attention to his running but I will make note.
I only realized it too that WeiWei pretty much brought the rain with her when you mentioned it. I’m like that lady gif! I’m like what? 😕
