The only game I was compelled to play on Gamecube (or was it Playstation?) was Spyro the Dragon. There was something therapeutic about head-butting jars, treasure chests, and orcs.
I’m creating this open thread for @phoenix, President of the Xiao Nai/Yang Yang Fan Club, and @agdr03, VP for public relations here at Bitchesoverdramas so they can fangirl over Ye Xiu, the male lead played by Yang Yang.
Other fangirls…errr… drama critics can join us here, too.
I watched Episode 1 on Netflix last night but I understood so little of the story to analyze anything. Like I didn’t know that the name of the game they were playing was called “Glory” until the very last minute of the episode. My fault! I wasn’t reading the subs since my eyes were otherwise occupied tracking every facial gesture of Ye Xiu.
But I deny fangirling. I was studying his eyebrows, forehead, cheekbones, hair, nose, eyes,lips, jawline, and ears to see if he’s improved as an actor. See? I’m not fangirling. This is legit!! I’m doing very important critical analysis.
Like, the actor sure looks like an anime character with hoodie and trenchcoat.
And spiky hair.

From Ep 1. I know about being “friend-zoned” but I never thought being trapped in revolving doors can be a literal “friend zone.”
But girl, yes. You were friend-zoned. If you’ve been together, side-by-side, for 10 years and he didn’t think of bringing you with him when he left the company, then he’s not THAT into you. He sees you as a comrade, not as a lover.

Ye Xiu looks good but his voice sounds like a duck, though. Quack quack quack. I wish they didn’t dub over Yang Yang’s voice. 😂

Yes, his voice was dubbed. Somebody mentioned it in my posts about the three guys, Deng Lun, Xiao Nai and Li Xian (Go Go Squid) having shows together.
Which reminds me, I’ve to watch my Go Go Squid. I’ve to rest my eyes some more. Hopefully the motrin will kick in soon.
I wonder why he didn’t want to use his voice. Thanks, I remembered it now. I’ll see how I go. It depends how much I love Yang Yang. 😆
I’ve stopped at episode 26 of GGS. I’m binge watching that Arsenal Military Academy without subs. Guess I’ve gone crazy with the Xu Kai and Bai Lu pairing 😂

Okay. Off to do my morning jog in the freezing temp. I need to ice my head so I don’t combust so easily at work today. 🥶🥶 If this continues, I’ll need a therapy dog for de-stressing. 😂 My hubby and I have been thinking of adopting a dog from the shelter anyway.

My face just about froze up when I opened the front door. So I decided to wait just a little while for my jog …. till the temperature rises to 32 degrees F.
I want a cute puppy too but my husband said there was no way he’d walk a miniature size anything given that he’s a 6’3. But by adopting from the shelter, we can give a second chance to the older dogs that have been abandoned and rescued. But we’ve to think about this. It’s a major commitment since we still travel. I don’t want to leave the poor pet with strangers again; we might just worsen its abandonment issues.
Did you get busy again? I’m still undecided to which ost is my fave. I’ve been listening to it while I had my face mask on 😂
Good luck with finding your pet dog if ever. My brother in law has two, Bella and Jasper and my niece loves them to bits. They’re big dogs. She’s taken her Dad’s side of the family when it comes to animals. She says hi to every dog that she sees when she’s outside 😄
So glad I found this site. New to Cdramas and loved loved loved love O2O and GGS. So many others have too much confusion and silly nonsense. Hard to find the pure sweet ones with a strong Male lead and equally awesome female who both don’t falter with the smallest wuhui/confusion.
Thanks for recs for any others like those. And yes could watch Yang yang all day long even without the sound on. Just didn’t like them dubbing his voice on kings avataf. Took several times starting and stopping the first episode to finally accept it.

Yes, I was annoyed that Yang Yang’s voice in King’s Avatar was dubbed over. But what can I do about it? I only read the subs so I’m not affected by Yang Yang’s accent like the Chinese viewers. From what I recall, the voice used in the Cdrama was the same one used in the original anime version of King’s Avatar. (But don’t quote me on this…because I can’t remember who my source was.)
