PD: Dongyoon-ah…you eat her?
Dong Yoon: No… How should I do it then? (massaging his lip) Did I eat her a lot?
PD: Eat her less.
Dong Yoon: Eat less of her. Ok I got it now. (pulls her closer)
Now this is weird. Did he call her “macaroon”? Was that a term of endearment, like, “Come here, you macaroon. Let me nibble on you”?? Cute.
He pulls her in close.
Staff: I think you do it on purpose.
Dong Yoon: No..no…eeeey..
KSH: I thought you’re going to eat me. hahahaha
Dong Yoon: No. They asked to make the lips not to be seen. I got it.
I think the director doesn’t want her lips to be seen and DongYoon interpreted this as an a direction to cover her lips with his whole mouth. pwahahaha. That’s why KSH said, “I thought you were going to eat me.”
What he should have done is to check first if KSH has a FULLER bottom lip or upper lip. Then, he should zoom in on that lip (i.e., kiss that lip) because the rest of his mouth will cover the other lip. Especially if he opens his mouth a little, he will be able to cover whatever needs to be covered so KSY’s mouth won’t be seen in the camera.
My 2 cents lips. lol.

If he doesn’t know how to kiss for the cameras at his age, then he’s definitely not a pervert.
I think he kept telling the director, “I got it!” even when he didn’t get it, because he was uncomfortable (or stressed) that he couldn’t do the kiss scene properly. I mean, HE was delaying the production, right? because he couldn’t kiss as directed.

Yeah poor JDY. He DID seem genuinely flustered during the kiss scene filming. Mebbe they just decided to work it into his character (or he was going all method acting) when he was super nervous after the kids with DJ. Whichever way it is, it turned out well & I loved that DJ teased him abt getting all nervous after their kiss. It’s fitting with both their characters- after all, she did practically grow up in a gibang so I’m sure she’s no innocent about birds and bees while he grew up in an isolated island where he was the only eligible bachelor for a 10 year old!
I think Nokdu is similar to JDY in that they both behave like rookies. It’s cute to watch.

I thought as much as they’re laughing/enjoying going about shooting the kiss, in truth they were nervous but they hid it well. The outcome was great and the feels was definitely there. Kudos to them both. Did anyone notice that JDY has juju lips? Like full lips ☺️
That macaroon must be a term of endearment or otherwise he thought of her as a macaroon to eat 😂

I like JDY because of boy-next-door charm. I hope he doesn’t get roped in to do noona romances. I don’t know what the heck these female kdrama writers are doing when they write these noona romances. The dramas turn mostly into “projections” or dream romances of these desperate
housewivesspinsters. I can’t look at that actor from Pretty Noona Who Gives Me Food (Jung Haein??) without thinking of “gigolo.”I agree. But I do hope that this role helps him break out of the majority of student/trainee/ teenager roles that he’s been cast in due to his youthful looks. After all, he is already 27! This drama has made me a fan and in a bout of fantasy casting, I would totally watch some brother vs brother drama with him and Kim Soo Hyun. He seems a smart chappie though & his agency already announced that his next project is in a low budget film so prob something more artsy instead of commercial. Hopefully his career blossoms from here on out!
I hope so too. I don’t like Noona romances either. He looks so young at 27 so I consider him my dongsaeng 😉 I feel protective of him for some reason, I’m not sure if it’s coming from the Ahjumma in me or the Noona in me 😂
I think there’s plenty more actresses around his age so yes, hopefully his next drama will make him shine more brighter.

In a general way, the actors often are nervous for kissing scenes. They’re really cute!

I saw a clip where KSH approached JDY while he was eating a macaroon. It was on one of the promo videos. I think he loves to eat macaroon so maybe he literally was thinking of eating a macaroon when he was calling her ‘macaroon’ when kissing her 😁
Having brothers toughened me up. I fell in love with my niece when I first saw her. My instinct was to call her “poupette” which means “little doll”. But I stopped myself out of fear that her brother would tease her with “poopy-head” or “poo-poo.”
JDY seems to treat KSH well. Some of her male leading actors don’t seem to know how to treat her because she was underage. Kissing her would have been awkward.
Awww ‘poupette’ would have been cute but yes brothers tend to have a way of teasing that doesn’t always end up being nice 😁 I call my eldest son ‘Kuya’ , the term for calling an elder brother from our culture and my youngest ‘Bunso’ for being the youngest.
True that, JDY treats KSH very well. They seem to get along fine without the awkwardness and you can tell their both at ease with each other. That’s why I’m glad that KSH is 20-21 years old now? So she’s matured now to handle kissing scenes and she’s done well so far. ☺️
