Yoohooo, @agdr03! It’s safe to watch this show now.
If you watch it, you’ll be reminded of high school moments like this one. This is from Episode 7 (Ch 14 at 20:10).

THE GIRL walks home after school and she spots the “love of her life” talking to other guys animatedly about a tennis move. She’s bummed out that the guy doesn’t remember her anymore.
Their eyes meet across the school yard.
They’re momentarily connected with each other and she thinks, Rats! Why is he wearing such an eye-catching color.
She grumbles, “Hot pink! He stands out too much. He should at least stay out of my sight.”
She summons up courage to continue walking past him without paying him attention.
lol. Do you remember doing this in high school? Feigning composure and indifference when you pass your crush? Pretending that you have blinders on your eyes, and not daring to look his way?
Ugh! I hated that.
Wellllll. She walks on without an incident but HE turns around to look at her.
And then he continues talking to his friends as if nothing happened.
What I like about this scene is that SHE made him look. lol. Strangely enough, I would have felt rejected personally, as a viewer, if he hadn’t followed her with a look. It was satisfying to see that she was the object of his attention, even subconsciously.
You see, there’s such a thing as chemistry of the eyes. People who are attuned to each other, subconsciously mimic and/or respond to each other’s eye “expression.” For instance, if you wink at me, I’ll blink or wink back at you. If you glare at me, I’ll frown or glare back at you. If your pupils dilate, my pupils will dilate, too.
Here, after DanOh and Haru looked each other in the eye for a few seconds, she studiously avoided eye contact with him again. Without realizing it, he actually wanted her to acknowledge him.
lol. This reminded me of this Goblin scene. She made him look, too.
Wait! Wait! Let me get settled first as I had son’s Pope Francis Award Ceremony this morning then picked up sister at the airport. 🤪
High school was very memorable for me. Oh especially the first year. 😆
Since I’ve finished all the dramas I’m watching I can watch this now because I’ve seen a few ig posts of EY, KHY really is very good at her role like you said. She’s actually simple and pretty. ☺️ I’ll watch because of her and RoWoon.
High school was very memorable because of my friends and of course the first boyfriend who later dated my best friend. 😂 I’m all good, no worries. 👍🏻😉 But the crush that I will never forget was our neighbour (about 4 houses down) back in Manila. I would always wait for him on our little veranda from the second floor of our home and look out for him when he goes home from work or whenever I can wait for him. 😂 He’s older than me but oh he was an eye candy. 😂 We have a small neighbourhood where everyone knows each other so I get all shy whenever he talks to me. 😄 Oh until now I can still remember him.
Anyway that my sharing for today 😂
I’ll start on Reply 1988 tonight. 😉
Okay, we’ll do a re-watch like in the good old days since we’re waiting for good kdramas. I hope others can join us. If not… hahaha. we’re always good at yapping away.
I feel you and your one-sided crush on an older man.
I’m good with watching EY and Reply 1988. It’ll be my first time watching it both so it’s good to have your insights and the others inputs already here. 😊
Should I feel embarrassed in admitting that I do yap? 😂 Nah. 😂
Tell me when you’re ready.
Yes, we do yap. If we were dogs, I’d be a chihuahua. Rottweilers and bichon frises aren’t as yappy.
We have “Running with the Chihuahuas” to celebrate Cinco de Mayo (May 5). It’s a Mexican festival that has turned into a big chichuahua love-fest. Their owners dress up them up and the dogs race. lol. We love going to them.
