Please don’t worry if I start using the “password protection” more often on the blog.

1. If I put “Work in Progress” on the title of the post, it means just that: it’s an incomplete article. I’m still finishing it up. It could be that:

I’m missing screenshots;
I haven’t proofread the paragraph I dictated on my iphone;
I was too salty when I wrote the post so curse words have yet to be removed;
I was tipsy when I wrote the post so I was rambling; or
I used legal jargon, archaic words and bon mots that should be edited out. I try to use the vernacular or “trendy” words because many of the lurkers are non-native English speakers.

Once the post passes muster, I’ll remove the password and re-upload it for everyone to read. Please just wait.

Question: But why bother release it when it’s not ready yet?
Answer: Because it pressures me to finish writing. I was clearing my “Draft” folder, and noticed that I had about 20+ which should have released.

2. Also, the “Work-in-Progress” designation is to give you heads-up on the article(s) I’m working on.

I’m not a techie (sigh). I’m sure there’s a way here in WordPress to tell readers what posts are waiting in the pipeline. But I can’t find the instructions.

If you know how to set up a widget to tell the readers what posts are in the queue, please tell me. Thanks.

3. The “Hospital Playlist” threads are all password-protected, except for the current Hiatus thread. (I might have missed a few but oh well…)

Discussions on this kdrama have been contentious so to protect the small group of people, and to allow them safe space, I locked the posts under password.

However, when Season 2 begins, I’ll begin writing again and most of them won’t have a password.

4. I do not “mind games” when I put passwords on the blog. There’s a good (but not so obvious) reason why I limit access to posts.

So please do not waste your time trying to break the code. 🙂
