First comic scene between the two. Prof Park is yelled at by Soo-Bong, when in fact he is just talking about comics. But with a double meaning that fits perfectly with the current situation.
*** Yeon Joo opens her eyes ***
It gives the impression that she is waking up, while her eyes are that of a brain dead person. I guess she doesn’t even see Kang Chul.
*** Han Chul Ho tortures Kang Chul ***
Han Chul Ho, originally a one-dimensional villain, becomes fierce and scary. Thanks to the actor and his performance! The blows of the iron bar are so violent that realistically, Kang Chul could not get out without sequelae.
*** Kang Chul creates a cliffhanger ***
Kang Chul looks at the camera and tells Soo-Bong to act! He read it in the manhwa. A perfect twist! We can guess that Kang Chul had a backup plan all along. In this scene, Kang Chul doesn’t seem to use the “end of mission” trick to close the chapter. He forces an end to the chapter, with a cliffhanger or by manipulating his own emotions. This will not be explained. We just assume that he now knows how to voluntarily return from W by causing a chapter ending.

Yeon-Joo is at the entrance of the hotel and looks up, “Final Episode” is displayed! The drama announces inside the plot its end. Super-meta! A scene that always gives me a huge thrill. Goosebump!

HCH seems to be quick to put 2-and-2 together. He recognises the handwriting as his own. He finds something in the boot of the car.
Now that killer is dead, SM’s father’s face should return to him immediately.
Han Chul Ho can retrieve a dangerous proof about him. On the phone too. +what does he sees in the trunk? hey hey.
We see that SM gets his face and his consciousness back.
Poor SB. Only called for at certain times and hardly told anything.
SM realises that he had been the killer and that he’d hurt his own beloved YJ.
Tell me whose fault is it that Yeon Joo was shot?
Sung-Moo real comeback. But before to call… memories from the killer. His face… devastated.

Sung Moo alcoolism problem is really big, he drink any time, from the morning. Also, you can see he drink a glass in one go!

The character is well written and consistent. What makes his final act very much moving.

KC to the rescue again. KC has to give SM hope to continue living. finally a chance for SM to redeem herself. His drawings are the only hope.

Here we have the many dispatch of the roof scene. I’am amazed about that, because I’m unable to write like that on average. Even here, it’s more about outlining the episode than just writing.
KC, a mnhwa character gives real people a reason to live.
KC makes a great deduction about a duplicate tablet that even SM can barely remember.
If I remember, in the script, Han Chul Ho don’t take the risk to drug Kang Chul himself. He uses the tablet to make appear and inject a jab in KCH neck, using the real tablet.
@WE It’s amazing the the rules of the created manhwa world have greater power over the real world in certain ways.
I like how KC keeps making use of the power to teleport.
I am not into that torture scene…
After the “official” killer, the next vilain could be disapointing, but here I think not. The actor is so good. The directing with shadows and light in the basement are good to make him more scary.

Han Chul-Ho is a psychopath.
Kang Chul as a white shirt, so we can see more easely the blood.
The thuggishness of the future President comes out. He likes to beat a person up himself.
GB, we see here Soo-Bong reading the manhwa. Same trick than the previous episode. Then when the scene continue in W, in real it’s a flashback, as the episode is already published.
At the end, Soo-Bong will read the cliffhanger. 😉

Sung Moo arm flash, as he will do something that’s help Kang Chul and Yeon Joo. What contradict the killer goal.
Here is a point hard to get. Kang Chul return in W worlds. Said in the script: it’s not intentional. He’s so tired with the will to end the manhwa, and invokes himself accidentaly.

So YJ wakes up and it’s another end to the episode but she does not disappear?

One of my favorite scene of the drama.
It’s great with the manhwa that YJ gets to read it to catch up on the news of days/weeks.

So, she return to the real world for a short while… then without she know it, she’s summoned in W world just at the end scene.
I’m not sure why, but here I think it’s not because Kang Chul. It’s rather an effect from the manhwa, like “for the final episode, characters must return in the manhwa”.

Make a list of shows… Hmmm. I can mostly list shows I watched. But I’ve also a list of shows I would like to watch. What make a watch first, then the rewatch. The show needs to be damn good. Not easy. I’ll work on that.

Yes of course… but my problem is: I’m unable to comment while watching the first time. Also if it’s a show I need to watch first before the rewatch… it needs something enough good for rewatching it quickly after. There aren’t so many shows like that.
@WE, then the list of shows can be shortened to just the ones you’ve seen that you can bear to rewatch with the condition that one or two others want to watch or rewatch it as well.

My top list dramas, with a comment about rewatch value.
W two worlds.
Wait… no no, not in the list. LOL! 🙂
Liar Game season 1 and 2 (20 episodes of 35 minutes) + The final stage.
Japanese drama. It’s the only drama I rated 10, like W. Rewatch value is high because all is funny, fast paced, and also because even when the explanations are well made, we need one more time to catch all. I rewatched as soon as I ended watching. A drama you can’t say goodbye to it. Can be 2 episodes/week, except one longer episode and the final movie.
Empress Ki (51 episodes).
Problem here is 51 hours. Of course, when we end the drama, we want to rewatch it, because it’s an heartbreak to say goodbye to the drama, and we want to stay longer in that. Very fast paced. I didn’t rewatched just after, because 51 episodes is a big deal.
Jang Ok Jung (24 episodes).
Acting feast. So many spicy situations we want to rewatch, as it’s fast paced. Also we want to feel again the progression of the emotion/character developement, and love story. So, very good rewatch value.
Sandglass (24 episodes * 45 minutes).
The drama cause something deep on the mood. As I rewatched some parts since then… The rewatch value is excellent, we miss a lot when watching first, about the quality. Only problem I see: it’s the kind of drama you want to rewatch, but later, not just after watching. It needs a rest. Well, it depends of your condition, but I don’t see someone ending this be in a good condition. It’s rather slow paced.
The Penthouse: War in Life (21 episodes).
The queen of makjang in a new way, with self-parody. Very fast paced. There are so many good acting and situations giving endless fun, it’s so well written with good sens of irony and dense. Perfect symbiosis beetwen writer and director. So of course it’s highly rewatchable. First thing I did after watching was to rewatch. Only dilemma: there is a season 2 and 3. So maybe you’ll want to watch this after.
I hear your voice. (18 episodes).
I rewatched it already too much. I rated it 9,5 like others. But consider it’s not in my list, unless you insist.
Memories of the Alhambra (16 episodes).
Not in my list too. But if you want, I will be happy to rewatch of course.
Then are the list I rated 9. A lot. I don’t put them in my list because I’m not sure of the rewatch value “just after watching a first time”.
Death Note (japan, but I prefer the anime), From Now On Showtime!, Giant, Hwang Jin Yi, IRIS, King2Hearts, Love in Sadness, Miss Ripley, Nine Times Time Travel, Page Turner, Pinocchio, Psychopath Diary, Queen In Hyun’s Man, Queen of Ambition, Six Flying Dragons, The Last Empress, While You Were Sleeping, 365: Repeat the Year, The Incarnation of Money, Kairos, Love Story in Harvard, Road Number One, Remember: War of the Son.
In this, I would be happy to rewatch:
Love in Sadness. But it’s not a drama you maybe want to rewatch fast after. It’s a bit slow paced. But the vilain is so good.
365: Repeat the Year. Need time before you want to rewatch.
While You Were Sleeping. Lot of good feeling, so rewatchable.
Pinocchio. Ditto, and same writer.
King2Hearts. Want to rewatch, but not just after. Very good vilain and confrontations.
Love Story in Harvard. Deep love feeling, so should be rewatchable even if it’s old school. It’s a problem, I always want to rewatch anything with Kim Tae Hee. ^^
IRIS. So, that’s too! ^^
Remember: War of the Son. The so good vilain make you want to rewatch that. But not the drama as a whole.
The Incarnation of Money. There is enough silly comedy and black comedy for a rewatch. But maybe not soon after watching.
A sequence of scenes in the hospital.
Thanks to the order of the scenes and the flashback, the characters in scene 20 (Sung-Moo, Soo-Bong) want to know Yeon-Joo’s condition. Suspense, the nurse will say something serious, and we go into flashback, in 21 (Kang Chul) asks the same question, the doctor will say something serious. In 22, the answer has been put in elipse, because it is Soo-Bong who confirms the answer of the nurse!!!
A similar process is used for the second mystery. Where did Yeon-Joo go?
In the last scene, the nurse says that even the bed is gone, I don’t remember if it is so in the drama.

I was hesitating whether I should let him know or not, and I was not looking at it, but I saw that my hand holding the cell phone became translucent again..
Kang Chul, facial expression.
When the doctor came out, Kang Chul immediately hid his changed hand in his pocket.
DOCTOR – (Dori-Ban) Oh Yeon Joo’s husband..
KANG CHUL – Yes… (approaching with fear)
DOCTOR – (Coming and embarrassed) The operation went well, but before the operation, I had a cardiac arrest due to excessive bleeding in the emergency room. I did CPR for more than 30 minutes. Consciousness has not returned yet. There is no self-respiration, the pupils are slightly open, and there is no reflex.
KANG CHUL – (…!) Then…
DOCTOR – (difficult) It might be a little difficult.

Hospital Rooftop – Driving Scene
As in episode 12 with the restaurant, the hospital rooftop is used as a driving scene. The scene starts in real time, then when the events in the hospital unfold, it becomes a flashback. We see Sung-Moo coming back in Piggy-Back on Kang Chul’s back, having lost his suicidal urge, following the long conversation on the roof, which we have the end of in scene 61.
This structure begins by posing the problem of the destroyed tablet, and it is only at the end that we get the answer: Kang Chul thinks that the killer has made a copy. We even see the scene where this happens, because to keep the suspense going, Oh Sung-Moo doesn’t remember it at first. But at the end, he remembers asking his zombie to draw the tablet. So Kang Chul’s guess was right.

SUNG MOO – (Falling down as if being hit on the floor by strong force)
KANG CHUL – (breathing) Why are you doing this?
SUNG MOO – (Crying) I did..
KANG CHUL – (expression)
SUNG MOO – I shot… I shot Yeon Joo… I did…
KANG CHUL – (resolutely) The author didn’t shoot.
SUNG MOO – No, I shot him.. (Looking at his hands shaking) I remember.. I shot my daughter..
KANG CHUL – No. that’s not you
SUNG MOO – (Crying) I… I can’t live anymore…! I can’t… live…! Yeon Joo is… (writhing and crying)
KANG CHUL – (strongly raises the crying Sung Moo to a seat) Calm down and listen to me.
SUNG MOO – (I can’t hear anything, I can’t see anything)
KANG CHUL – Do you know why I came? The author has work to do.
Don’t blame yourself. It wasn’t you who shot your daughter. It’s the real culprit.
But the only thing that can save you is you.
So calm down. It can’t be broken
