  1. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Thanks for the early thread @pkml3!

  2. Thank you for the thread @pm3… I’m so glad to have a safe place to share my mental truckload of thoughts that I have about this drama !

  3. Old American Lady (OAL)

@packmule3 As we enter the final episodes, I am hoping for a satisfying ending. Am praying to the writing deities that they don’t screw up. I have enjoyed this drama immensely. I think it had the right balance of villains from the down right despicable to the buffoons. Our ‘frememy” was particularly good. And I liked Park Min Young in a role that was not perky. And Na In-woo, who is dorly in variety shows, was great boyfriend/husband material here. Bam hoping that his death is short and he gets resurrected soon.

  4. Don’t worry @OAL.. if they follow the novel, we can safely watch without being worried!

  5. Kalimera Everyone!

Thank you @Packmule3 for the thread! Bring your tissues for tonight’s episode!

  6. @cleo ! Did you happen upon the fresh pre-release clip? Ji Won is LIVID. She’s more angry right now than she was at her own accomplished murder.

  7. Kalimera @Arihsi!

    Are you feeling better?

Yes, I saw the pre-release on X (ex-Twitter) She needs to express her anger, afterall so many things have happened, since Yura came into the picture. Still, SuMin is getting on my nerves. She is lying with a straight face!

  8. I’m finally feeling better today. Last two days were quite bad.

About YuRa, her entry seems to be mandatory to

    1) Escape the whole JH dying in accident tragedy
    2) Avoid that destiny being transferred to Ji Won
    3) Actually get Su min punished. Till now, JW has only managed to get her married. But just like timeline 1.0, Su Min will pay for her karma by attempt of murder/accomplished murder
    4) By extension same for Min Hwan.

    – No matter what timeline, by some reason or the other, those of evil character fall into temptation of harming others.

In timeline 2.0 this balance had to be tipped by YuRa.

    5) Push Ji Won to look beyond her timeline 1.0 trauma by accepting a man and his love wholeheartedly.

    – I don’t think they could have done all of above without adding YuRa into the mix.

  9. Most importantly, all of us can look forward to a reunion because Ji Hyuk is not from the UK / The Commonwealth. We drive on opposite side of rest of the world. That would mean the truck would have hit the side of the drive instead of the passenger side as in case of JH. Ouch !

  10. Ok no. It’d still hit the passenger side because JH would intercept from the opposite side.

Apologies for the confusion. Disregard my comments reg side of drive please.

  11. Ι have found the pre-release video for tonight’s with English Subs!

    Enjoy!

  12. I started watching longing for you with female lead. It is not my genre that I thought I would give this show a try. I just finished three episodes. His character is so different and so fun to watch. He is hilarious at times. I have never watched him in 3D1N.

I am looking forward to today’s episode ofMMH. I don’t have to think very hard to remember where it left off!

  13. @Monmor

“I don’t have to think very hard to remember where it left off!”

    You made me LoL 😂

  14. Ok firstly, show. You need to understand that not everyone is looking out for timelines of spinal/cranial fracture healing. You need to give the viewers some other clues, like calendar dates for example.

People have not understood that you showed the timeline in Ji Hyuk being in a neck brace + being unable to breathe independently to just being monitored. To be fair, the show tried to put it in Ji Won’s dialogue, “I’m not the old Ji Won anymore. I’ve grown so much. Please come back.”

It also showed it in Ji Won’s appearance. She looks haggard, unkempt – like she hasn’t cared for herself in a while. But the drama actually showed it in Ji Hyuk’s healing. He was unconscious for blooming weeks !

This is true to the webtoon. There, they the timeline jumps by weeks with just a one-liner about JH being unconscious. It isn’t stretched.

  15. @cleo !!! Ji Won stole your thoughts the other day after ep 12 ! “I have achieved nothing” she says. “Not even revenge. I ran away again. People don’t change.” And then she joins it with her guilt of what Ji Hyuk is going through. Ji Won’s tipping point was this realisation which you had already touched upon. Brava !

  16. Another thing I liked was how the show touches upon anger.

    1) Ji Won’s lack of anger (or fire) in timeline 1.0

    2) Ji Won’s inadequate and misdirected anger at JH in timeline 2.0

    3) Her explosion post accident in timeline 2.0. she angrily seals her resolve to destroy Su Min.

    4) Ji Hyuk’s anger in his way to try and die whilst protecting Ji Won. He’s angry. “What was the point of my coming back if I don’t even get to have you ?” I like that he’s angry and not wallowing.

    5) Mr Lee exploding at Mgr Yang – “why aren’t you angry ? Go slap your cheating husband. Break his bones. I’ll lend you my golf club. Be angry at me for crossing the line !”

    6) Ji Won being really angry in the preview. I think she borrows the golf club from Mr Lee. So cute !

  17. Episode 13

It was a good episode that moved the action forward.

As I have written in the previous thread, SuMin is delusional. Just because her father loved Kang Jiwon and her father abandoned her, SM started being jealous of her.
Instead of finding happiness with Jiwon, SM became a manipulating and awful person to Jiwon through the years gaslighting her and stealing whatever was hers. Until Jiwon woke up in 2.0 Timeline.

As for Yura, she doesn’t know that Ji Hyuk will uncover her ugliness to his Haraboji. I am waiting for it! *Bring popcorn*

So far, the baddies are stupid that noone will understand what they did, because Yura bribed the cops. *Evil Laughter conrs from Mr.Lee*

As for Kang Jiwon, she did not go back to work at all, whereas Yura did not come anywhere near the Hospital. Tsk Tsk Tsk…
She thinks noone will find out what she did.

I do hope that Haraboji will investigate separately. Did Mr. Lee tell him what happened?

P.S. Just don’t touch Eun Hoo, I will go berserk…🤬🤬🤬

  18. Some of the things I liked about ep 13:

The confrontation between JW and SM with JW revealing that she’s always known about her mom and SM’s dad. JW doesn’t give the reactions and behaviors SM wants, which is quite satisfying.

I’m apparently one of the few that doesn’t mind the addition of Yu Ra to the playing field. She’s there to level up SM and MH, who otherwise would not have the resources to truly strike back at JW.

Didn’t expect to see YR going after EH, but maybe this is a plot point to move him and HY closer together.

    Loved the ending scene.

  19. Kalimera. As it seems Amazon Prime opened by mistake Episode 14 pretty early and I got spoiled on X… 🙄

  20. @cleo ! I saw the whole ep ! I happened to be on prime when the giant mistake happened 🤣

Cute spoilers below – No plot spoilers.

It’s cute. She is very good to him. He was ALSO in an abusive relationship before, thus the lack of tools to build a healthy relationship from both their sides. She apologises. He forgives and apologises in return.

She has missed many many office days as you correctly guessed @cleo. Indirectly meaning he was unconscious for many many days. They subtly showed that Ji Won doesn’t care for much outside of Ji Hyuk himself including his wealth.

We progress from Manager-nim to Ji Hyuk- ssi. Big leap I say.

Uri villans could have moved to a remote island in the Pacific. But no, their greed will be the death of them (literally).

  21. @stacy

I’m with you in that Yura is needed to give an impetus / balance JH in wealth and connections – just on the evil side. I’m not even sure what it is that she wants. It’s definitely not JH – both Yura and JH know that.

I also loved the ending scene from the moment the hospital room is shown. Ji Won is so tender with him the whole time. PMY was sooo good ! ❤️

  22. Kalimera @Arihsi!

Thank you for the non spoilers….*sighs*

I was looking for the translation of the pre-release scene and I got spoiled with the Episode’s ending scene… o.O

    Is Eun Ho okay?

  23. @Arihsi,

Thank you for pointing this out! It made me smile when I read this. Kumawo! ❤

Well, I am good at understanding people. That’s my Creative Writing Teacher said anyway… That’s why when I am writing a character I am trying to understand first, the conditions I am bringing him / her into.

  24. Ummm…. I don’t know?

    *Tries to build up excitement*

But one thing is there – the real game starts ep 15. The villans ain’t so silly anymore.

P.S. Ji Hyuk, dear, can you please take back all this wealth that you gave away to ji won without her asking? Kang Ji Won is safer when she’s average (she isn’t poor). Just sayin’.

  25. The “I don’t know” is the answer to “Is Eun Ho okay?” @cleo. *Evil laughter*

  26. You are such a tease @Arihsi! LMAO!

  27. Hee hee hee @cleo 😁

About what you wrote wrt character development and Ji Won after ep 12, your teacher is indeed right about your understanding ❤️ However, I was surprised that the drama actually took out time to show that realisation of the character and put it into words.

Usually it’s just misplaced blame that the character feels and they run away…”Oooo… I bring misfortune upon you ! I’ll run away from you ! You are better without me !” Then go into a corner of a remote village and cry in so called (nobel) idiocy.

Here, Ji Won feels responsible for what happened but realises her mistake. Does NOT run away, rather becomes a permanent fixture of Ji Hyuk’s hospital room and tries to become a better version of herself. That’s the growth that we discussed.

  28. I feel this whole realisation was more touching because Ji Won was ALWAYS kind. She let people walk all over her in 1.0 which wasn’t great but she was always kind and considerate to a fault in timeline 1.0 and 2.0 ( right from the sanitary napkin emergency).

In trying to get a revenge, she forgets this side of herself. she gets it back in this ep.

She consciously decides to be strong so that she can be tender in love. How great is that.

  29. @Arihsi,

There is a great advice about writing Literature that applies to scripts as well. Don’t tell me, show me… *winks*

In that way, people can realize the emotional turmoils or changes of the characters in order to overcome the hurdle!

JiWon had to become more resilient. She is a kind person, but not everyone deserves her kindness and thoughtful words. Some need to see her bitchy side as well. Hence, her empowerment. That doesn’t make you a bad person.

I don’t believe in revenge per se. But in MMH, we see that is a matter of life and death. She needs to fight back, before they kill her. She needs to fight for her life!

  30. Howdy! I’m up to date with this drama and I’ve been trying to take in all the lengths of twisted-ness and evilness one human being can do to another human being. My mind boggles.😔

I’ve seen a lot of bad/devil stuff in dramas but for some reason the bad people here makes me really sad. Maybe I’m more affected because Lent is starting tomorrow.

True, kindness won’t kill them. 😬

Anyway, I’m glad JH is awake and JW finally wants to stay by his side.

I agree that the actors here are very good. PMY always delivers.

@Cleopatra, I totally understand you crushing on Na InWoo. 😉

  31. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

I just got through Ep 13 without reading any of the comments or accidentally seeing spoilers.

I’m trying to find words to describe how I feel about Ep 13. What was good was that JH’s coma was short-lived. His near-death brought many things into sharp focus for Ji Won regarding their relationship, and settled how they feel about each other once and for all.

WRT the villainess, Yu Ra, and the evil machinations… it’s somehow unconvincing to me. I’m finding it OTT. Also the fact that every single one of the characters tainted by villainess’ money was perfectly fine with committing murder. Their evil has become too much of a caricature which feels out of place in a Show that had lighter and more touching moments.

Show offers us not 1 but 2 (maybe 3 if we add in Ji Won’s mother) females who are overly entitled. Their Dog in a Manger attitude leading to murder seems a bit of a stretch.

I was thinking that Soo Min makes a good villainess and more could have been made of her role if her backstory had come up a bit earlier. At this late stage, we hardly feel for her character, and I begin to wonder why we are being shown flashbacks of her childhood only now. Are we to sympathise with her, or find that her childhood trauma makes what she’s doing now understandable? It will never be acceptable, but perhaps if we’d known earlier we might have had the irony of a change of heart for her character?

The character shift that disturbs me with this episode though, is Ji Won’s. The character who had wanted the best for others, who found it difficult to do anything evil and be okay about it, seems to have faded away, if her threat against SM is going to be realised.

She says to SM: “It’s not over yet. A harsher hell awaits you. I’ll see to it.” It’s with an almost sinister smile that Ji Won next says: “Look forward to it. It’ll be different from before.” And as she walks away we hear her voiceover “I’ll make sure my fate goes to you.” This sounds like she’s going to work out how to get SM killed or dead. What happened to the good person who’d win by being smart, not by being evil, that I’ve been rooting for?

    (Continued)

  32. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    (Continued)
Instead of JW, the one being soft, good and kind now is Manager Yang, who’s going to end up with more of JW’s ‘fate’ if she does not fight back against her husband and his lover.

JW will have quite a big task ahead of her if she wants to shift her past fate (which might be Mgr Yang’s present and future fate) to SM.

The other thing that bugged me is that HR Mgr Lee (Chairman Yoo’s man) says something similar to what SM had said to JW before. She had blamed the bad treatment JW received on JW being too nice, on her giving in or allowing it. Lee says something similar and it sounds like he’s blaming the victim.

Lee to Mgr Yang: “How have you lived to be so upright like this? Even when I’m so out of line, why can’t you get angry? That’s why he does it even at your dad’s restaurant.” She asks in response if it isn’t wrong to disrespect her. If someone is kind shouldn’t the response be kindness as well and why it is wrong to be patient and wait for her husband to change (well he likely won’t!) She does also have a point although most of us will shake our heads.

While I’m all for fighting for one’s valid rights, and not being a doormat, I can’t approve the idea being implied by Lee that being good and patient is a bad thing either.

On top of all the stuff Yu Ra has stirred up already, she cannot leave well alone and must try to taint Chef Eun Ho as well. It’s pretty tiring watching her be so thorough. She is a meticulously sick and evil person. So we see what Eun Ho ends up doing tonight after that meeting with Yu Ra.

I hope tonight’s Ep 14 wipes away some of the bad taste that Ep 13 left, but catching the preview of Ep 14, made my heart sink.

  33. @GB I don’t think SM will be dead/killed. That will destroy the morality of JW. That sentence just indicated that JW’s revenge mode awoke again after taking a pause. After all, at that point in time JH was in a coma due to the accident orchestrated by SM.

I’m not saying it’s an eye for an eye is justified. I’m only saying that JW was very much hurt and angry.

  34. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Thanks @Arihsi!

With the 2nd life, fate gets transferred… but hopefully the moral compass of the ones in their 2nd life will not become warped.

  35. @Arihsi,

You are killing me and it was so needed… *grins*

  36. Unnie,

I agree with @Arihsi in this one. Ji Won won’t kill Su Min. She was just sick and tired for hearing her BS. They tried to kill her, but Ji Hyuk was hit instead.

So, she just wanted to inform SM that she will be punished for her evil deeds, but she Ji Won won’t get blood on her hands. That is for the baddies trio.

  37. Correction : sick and tired Of listening…

  38. I also caught the mistaken release of ep 14 last night. Went to the show’s page to rewatch parts of 13 and lo and behold, there sat ep 14. I clicked play so fast lol.

  39. Ugh that last scene was really horrible to watch and listen to. This whole episode had a number of questionable/challenging scenes.

  40. I did not understand what this episode code was trying to get at. What was that in the last scene?

  41. 1) I think the way this director works is shows consequences then events leading upto same. I think PMW found out that JW tricked him.
This is where @GB’s concern comes in. JW or JH aren’t evil. They aren’t pro at tricking ppl. Thus, they get found out. They can never match Yura or MW in sheer low morality.

    2) The villans here are serious villans. They aren’t silly or phoney. The novel is supposed to be very dark. People on the internet say the drama is actually a middle path between novel (very dark) and webtoon (very light).

    3) Just like we had JH nearly crushed to death as an impetus for JW, there needs to be an impetus for JH to unleash all his fury. “I hate using my strength” as he himself says. But there is a limit to his tolerance. JW is the hard-won love of his life for whom he sacrificed his own twice, not once.

Afterall, that’s the premise of the whole drama. The good/the moral being pushed enough to lose it all to finally blast out the evil. It has happened in human history. All our movements and protests were ultimately the masses being fed up of being pushed.

Many famed dramas including Vincenzo, Glory etc are based on pretty much the same premise. A bottomless evil met with an equal inferno of the good/the moral left with no other choice but to annihilate.

  42. At the same time I don’t think this drama propagates the idea of an eye for an eye @GB. In fact quite the opposite.

I think it’s showing a very important idea that evil is evil for ALL. An immoral beast is immoral to ALL. No exceptions there.

    1) An immoral, wife-beating, greedy beyond repair, irresponsible, extra marital affair loving Park Min Wahn is the SAME whether it’s Ji Won or Su Min. Whether it’s timeline 1.0 or timeline 2.0.

Whether it’s gentle and kind Ji Won or scheming and gas lighting Su Min, he will be the SAME. An abusive, immoral beast. He didn’t care about JW. He doesn’t care about SM. This is where your concern comes in @GB. The drama is in fact saying NO MATTER how you are, abusive people WILL treat you badly. Don’t get tricked into thinking they’ll change based on who YOU are.

    2) Yura abused Ji Hyuk. It took him three years to finally loosen her clutches. He is still not free. A wealthy, powerful, fit man like him was abused and he put up with it because he thought she’ll change. Ji Won and ji Hyuk have a small but touching conversation about how tough it is to escape an abusive relationship at the beginning of ep 14. I think it’s a small but very important conversation.

    3) Like Min Wahn, Yura is an abuser. She abused JH, now she’s abusing MW (he’s on his knees in the preview). She is the SAME to kind hearted softie JH and horrible beast MW. It DOESN’T matter who is in front of her. She’s an abusive, manipulative beast.

    4) Su Min isn’t trustworthy at all. She has lighted Ji won all her life because she thought Ji won deserved this type of treatment. Now what is she doing to Min Wahn? She copied Yura’s phone number behind his back. She tricked him into believing she was pregnant. She is the SAME. Whether kind hearted Ji won or Min Wahn at the opposite end.

I think the drama has done an excellent job at showcasing dangers of getting involved with abusive, manipulative people – whether in good faith or to join them in their evil deeds.

  43. It is the same for the “good” side @GB. Allow me to show some examples

    1) We start with @Cleo’s beloved Eun Ho – He chose to quit the work he was so passionate about instead of joining hands with Yura. And mind you, it was about getting pitched against Ji Hyuk. The man Euh Ho lost against in the bid for Ji Won’s love. But no, for the moral and “good” Eun Ho, that isn’t a reason to harm JH. Not only he refuses Yura, he informs JW that someone is after her man.

    2) Ji Won – ya ok she marries SM and MW. But it would have ended at that if they hadn’t orchestrated to kill her again and what’s more get JH killed instead. She was very angry and it was more a verbal threat. She didn’t actually try to physically harm SM at all.

She didn’t care about money before. She STILL doesn’t have any idea of her own wealth and couldn’t be bothered less.

She was good to MW. Even after being traumatized to death (literally), she still takes porridge to JH in ep 11. She single handedly takes care of him through the aftermath of JH trying his best to get himself killed. She didn’t know if she’ll be forgiven. She doesn’t want to marry at all. She doesn’t want or know JH has transferred his wealth.

Like @cleo points out Yura was nowhere at that juncture and only thing Ji Won wanted was JH to come back to her – wealth or no wealth and health no matter how tattered. She’s ready to earn for him, cook for him and feed him with her own hands for however long – just like timeline 1.0.

    3) Ji Hyuk – the man didn’t go after Yura. In fact, tried to settle matters by offering money. Didn’t go after her even when he knew she caused the accident. The man isn’t interested in using his strength to abuse anyone.

    4) Mr Lee – He’s angry FOR Mgr. Yang. But again, no actual harm befalls Yang’s husband from Mr Lee’s side. And if Yang was to marry Mr Lee, would be treat her any less because she’s kind ? I don’t think so. He’d look out for her no matter what.

The good / the moral will try their best to treat you well NO MATTER who YOU are. At max, they’ll try to escape one if one is vile.

  44. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Thanks much @Arihsi!! I agree with your points on how Show portrays good people as good no matter in front of (or even behind) whom… and similarly that evil people will remain evil regardless of whom they deal with.

I have yet to watch Ep 14, but am glad to read that Eun Ho sticks to his principles. Evil Yu Ra (suddenly so much in the foreground when she was absent before) is devil incarnate, out to tempt all side characters to move her evil plots along. Only the principled, and those committed to choosing goodness over revenge will not be tainted by her.

  45. Bravo @Arihsi,

You brought forward a very interesting THEME of the show, that some seem not to pay attention to! We have GOOD vs. EVIL.

Yes, this is a classic, but how the SHOW is giving us information about Baddies?
This line is being repeated several times in the last episodes:
    People don’t change!

First time, someone shows you his / her true colours believe him / her, as Maya Angelou said and I totally agree!

@Arihsi, you did a brilliant work showing us that Min Hwan won’t change just because in 2.0 Timeline married Su Min. He is the same awful person.

The things that most people don’t want to understand (in MDL) is the the SHOW is giving life lessons and it is not just a Webtoon or a WebNovel or whatever.

In Life, you will encounter people, some will be good, others will be bad. Some have entered manipulating relationships that they cannot break free from. Those relationships have a toll on the victim of abuse / gaslighting / manipulation.

Some in MDL, were discussing why Ji Won didn’t fight Min Hwan back. First of all, she is learning Judo for six months? She also learned how to fight someone who is off guard. Min Hwan is stronger than her. Just because she flipped him, that doesn’t mean she will do so in another time.

Also, they don’t take into account the fact that it is very scary to know that Manager Yang took Jin Won’s fate. I mean we literally saw that Manager Yang was going to die the same way Ji Won did, if Ji Won didn’t break that glass table.

A good person with morals like JiWon and Ji Hyuk can be tremendously burdened from guilt. Being anxious is a must, especially for JiWon who also suffered a huge trauma of being killed in 1.0 Timeline. They are talking about webtoon plots, but they are not taking into account that human psyche deals with things in different ways.

Ji Won knows the future. The future she remembers anyway, because as we have visited before, there is also the FATE that is coming at all of them in the speed of light. One good deed here, changes the balance. One bad deed there, is doing more damage than before.

They have forgotten the first rule that happenes when we have Time Travel. If you change something in the past, the present will change. Since Ji Won changed, other variables happened that made Manager Yang to get that cancer. Since Yura came into the picture, she is manipulating everyone who can answer to her call for destruction.

Everyone will get what they sow in due time.

P.S. I would like to say that I was delighted that Ji Hyuk hugged and apologized to Lee. He finally trusted him and that means a lot for Lee. In this timeline, he won’t resigned after JH becomes the CEO.

  46. @agdr03,

    Of course you do! *grins*

  47. @cleo, what is MDL please?

  48. My Drama List = MDL, @Arihsi

  49. After reading the comments above, I am thinking about how she Is telling him to kill her in that last scene. Looking at it from the psychological point of view, I wonder if she is expressing.
Her feelings of helplessness and anger at trying to change what happened in timeline 1. Consistent with the themes others are discussing above.

  50. Oh GAWD. I didn’t know about this site and I went to check after your comment @cleo. My mental health / frail sanity can’t handle something so chaotic.

Mental monologue in 3 seconds of viewing MDL

“It’s a drama people. Not a matter of national policy. There you don’t come out with this fervour, do you ? There anything goes. But God forbid a drama try to displease you.”

This monologue came because I’m reviewing my country’s abysmal spending on healthcare as a part of work 😜

I applaud you for having the stability to participate or even view MDL @cleo. But I’ll have to stick to BoD only 🙏

  51. @Arihsi,

It is chaotic, but I am updating what shows I am watching or I want to watch. Still, there are some posters that have great ideas about some plots. Most of the times, I don’t participate into any of these.

Here and there, I might see @WE posting a comment online and we talk a bit, but we are returning back in B.o.D.

  52. @Monmor very interesting point… Also I don’t understand how can people ignore the fact that MW and JW were together for 7+ years before the juncture where JW was reborn in timeline 2.0. JH is a very “new love” in comparison !! 7+ years is a LONG time ! And Ji Won has harboured an abusive relationship for an even longer time given timeline 1.0 + 2.0 with the same guy !

  53. @Cleopatra Arihsi. Looking for the gems.
In the discussions on MDL Is a risk to one’s mental stability. I once became so upset at some of the misogyny In commentary on one of my favorite shows That I commented back Knowing I should not have. I do not think it was very wise of me to engage an anonymous Woman hater online.

There is also a big risk of spoilers.

So I use it, I guess the way many of us do here, to keep track of our dramas. Even at that the categories don’t really work for me. I appreciate that one can use filters like what country, What ratings.

  54. @Monmor,

So very true. We are looking for the gems.

Don’t berate yourself much because you answered to a troll. It’s okay. I have done so, as well, when someone was very rude. Still, if I want to discuss about a drama, I know that I am safe here.

  55. Old American Lady (OAL)

@Cleopatra and @Monmor, I learned a while back that sites like MDL don’t cut it. I used to comment and now I generally ignore them. I don’t even lurk and find them time wasters. I like BOD for its safety and great discussions. I learn a lot here and not just about dramas. Think religion, science, cooking, esthetics, etc.. And the international posters bring great perspectives. So Happy Valentine’s Day to BODers everywhere for the joy you bring.

  56. Hear hear @OAL… I agree with you ! Happy Valentine’s day to you too !!

  57. Ok people… I just realised something. What if, the logic is, fate repeats itself, period. However, the SITUATION in which the repeat takes place is changed by the characters ?

Example – JH died in timeline 1.0 through car accident and WOULD HAVE died by car accident in 2.0 if not for Ji Won immediately rushing him to the hospital. After a point, apart from medicine as a science, maybe her love, care and prayers worked in his favour ? In timeline 1.0 he didn’t have anyone to come back to. In timeline 2.0, he had Ji Won desperately begging him to come back to her. Big difference.

Similarly, Ji won is destined to die through MW. She does in timeline 1.0. Almost in timeline 2.0. but in 2.0, she has JH. Big difference.

Thus, both characters are out of the woods with how their deaths were orchestrated in timeline 1.0. At the company camping event, JW tells JH, “I won’t die by drowning.” Meaning she suspected at that point that it’d be through MW. Same with JH. He always suspected the accident part.

Now, due to their support for eachother, both are free ❣️

    Thoughts @cleo, @GB and others ??

  58. Kalimera My Dear @Arihsi!

I want to leave here something first and then comment on what you have written! LMAO

  59. My dear @Arihsi,

Now, we have this little piece of information, we get to understand that FATE repeats itself, PERIOD.

I am really glad that the chakkanim is making the story that way. This is HER POV on what Fate means and she is not following the original WebNovel’s storyline.

I think Ji Hyuk changed his Fate in 2.0 Timeline, because he made a sacrifice.
He sacrificed himself, in order for Ji Won to live. So, he changed the narrative of his life.

Also, something we didn’t pay attention to, is that Ji Won already made an impact when SHE went back first in 2013, Ji Hyuk got JH’s burning scar. The accident happened in that week’s time, BEFORE Ji Hyuk passed away in 2023.

So, there were ripples in the present timeline, because of JW’s actions.

At the same time, Ji Hyuk realized his feelings, not only because Ji Won died, but also because JW was already changing the Timeline in 2013, by having those moments together, when she got back first.

So, yes, both Ji Won and Ji Hyuk delved into each other’s life and changed the variables for each other, changing their FATE, but in order to overcome it completely, they need to fight for their LIVES literally!

Ji Hyuk had to fight for his life, not it was Ji Won’s turn. So, for me, they will become free, when KARMA hits the baddies! LOL

  60. Anneyong!!!

Here is a BTS clip from Episodes 13-14. You need to watch this!
Lee Yi-Kyung is really a sweetheart!

@Cleopatra, Saw the clip- like that these actors are such great colleagues. PMY was smart to wear a scarf. I wonder who does costumes and wardrobe. I will miss this drama when it ends-gives us so much to think about. I also hope that Yours is given a bad fate. As they say”karma is a bitch(but not a BOD bitch).

  62. @Cleo

Yes, after seeing this clip I saw lots of others on a similar line between all pairings (NIW x LK, PMY x the very capable actress playing Su Min, PMY x LK etc). I think this drama has a ton of physically violent scenes including hair pulling, shoving, body throws, wrist grabs / twists etc. These aren’t even action scenes so it’s not like they’ll have a stunt double or an action director. They can be seen figuring out the details by themselves. It’s very sensible and cute at the same time.

The Ep 1 murder scene was done cleverly too. In the BTS LK keeps holding PMY by her sweater after the push. The falling on table sequence is filmed seperately. In the actual push, LK doesn’t let PMY actually fall.

The accident BTS made me laugh. They moved JH’s car by hand. By HAND, not even by a fork lift of something ! LoL ! The actual scene was surprisingly smooth given the BTS !

  63. Alas, I couldn’t take notes and it took me time to watch the episodes.
Nothing big to say, except I liked it.
The cliffhanger of ep14 was a great one. It could end on the strangulation, but instead, JH comes to save the day… only… we don’t know if she’s alive or not.
    So just perfect!!!
I’ll come later to read your comments, now I don’t risk any spoiler.

  64. @Arihsi,

It is an answer regarding your theory. Check it above before I posted the video.

  65. My Dear Halmeoni @OAL,

Yes, those actors are good colleagues! I think that is making the show more interesting. They are having a good synergy with each other and that is delivered on what we watch!

  66. @cleo do you mean the BTS ? I can’t find any other video ? I’m very curious.

  67. I read your post reg Karma hitting the baddies @cleo. That’s 💯. But do they learn from it ? Apparently, no ! Because as soon as SM has MW cheating on her, she goes and tries herself at Ji Hyuk! What ! The man quite LITERALLY took a truck for her. Would take a shot, take a stab, take a granade for her. Still, SM doesn’t change. She hits on him ? Really, woman ?

  68. Her = uri Ji Won-ssi obviously. SM is incorrigible.

  69. Hey @Arihsi,

Yes, KARMA will hit the baddies like a TOD! LOL. Some people don’t realize their wrongdoings will destroy them eventually. They think that they are above the law. Even though, human law can set them free, divine law still exists and gives you a verdict!

I have watched the pre-release video… Su Min thought she could seduce Ji Hyuk… LOL

  70. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

I finally got myself to watch Ep 14. I just have a sense that Show has too many irons in the fire. Ji Won is still trying to figure out how to make the fate move to the ‘right’ person.

At the back of my mind, I believe what has been bothering me is that in order for the fate thing to work, JW has to become more like the baddies. She has to direct her fate at someone else. She will be a little godlike in deciding who deserves to suffer. And JH is following her lead and supporting her. To an extent, no matter how I liked that she got the better of the baddies in the earlier episodes, this part does not sit well with me.

I expect that Show will turn things on their head so that our good guys remain ‘good’ … but with JW’s intent and attitude to save Mgr Kang at someone else’s expense, there is a layering of grey.

  71. @GB I think that’s the reason JW is egging on MW to kill her in the last scene ! She doesn’t want that fate to go to anyone else !

  72. OMG is It is monday!

  73. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Arihsi, I will only be able to watch Ep 15 and likely 16 tomorrow night. I trust the ending will not disappoint. I hope you’re right and JW chooses the right thing to do. Wish MH and SM had some redemption arc possibilities but Writer does not seem to have inserted any hope for them???

I agree that despite some over-acting, Song Ha Yoon and Lee Yi Kyung delivered very good villains. So easy to hate them. Usually shows make us a bit ambivalent towards nuanced villains, but these two were served up as resentful, self-centred and greedy throughout.

  74. Unnie,

You will be blown away from the acting of Episode 15!
The whole thing goes perfectly insane!

  75. Old American Lady (OAL)

@GB and @Cleopatra, I think our villains also would fit in a comic book. They are over the top. I find Lee Yi Kyung especially to have a strange funny side. I think his expressions do it. Song Ha Yoon is so smarmy and disingenuous that it is a wonder that she can fool anyone. But of course, we actually see her planning her next moves, so we know what she’s up to. I actually love when villains are discovered and foiled again. There is a lot of satisfaction to it. I also like that there are various levels of villainy in this drama. Yura is particularly despicable because she, in truth, has no need to be a villain. She is rich and connected. But we do get our power freaks. I like having a hierarchy of villains. There is something to look forward to in seeing how they are vanquished(we hope).
