They had a kissing scene already?? Right. I forgot that this show follows a new trend in kdrama to abbreviate the run to 10 or 12 episodes. So far, I welcome the change because I like the faster pace, straightforward plot (e.g., no unnecessary secondary couple’s romance) and instant story development. However, there are times when I miss the convoluted plot because I get to see the couple interacting more with each other, working out their problems, and discovering their compatibilities, instead of merely nose-diving into a romantic affair.
I’ll try to catch up this week, @GB and @agdr03.
Enjoy the show!
Nice gifs! ๐ฅฐ Kumawo! ๐
Yes, itโs quite different with only 10 episodes in a kdrama but I think I donโt mind it too.
I felt the romance of this one is good, like the pace is ok. Jae Rim was definitely honest about wanting to be Cinderella and Cha Min not wanting to be the Prince. It worked for me. ๐
Anytime, @agdr03. Glad you’re liking the drama. ๐
I do like this one. โบ๏ธ Itโs an easy watch and really at one point I wanted to be Cinderella too but it didnโt happen. ๐ญ Itโs fine. ๐
Also, itโs the only drama I took in for June. Iโm hoping July can pull me in with a couple.
I started the cdrama Present Is Present but Iโm a bit annoyed with the voice dubbing of the lead actor. I know his voice. Anyway, itโs not as solid but Iโll stick with it.
Hi all, I’m unable 5o watch this one.I don’t have Viu and have other streamers that afford me lots of opportunities to watch K Dramas and Asian dramas in general,Am actually rewatching Extraordinary Attorney Woo. I loved it when it was first on and am enjoying it even more now because I’m concentrating on the details. I know that @packmule3 does not follow legal dramas. I am more interested in the depiction of autism here. Park Eun bin does an excellent job. There is also a sweetness about this drama. But I am interested in the drama being discussed here and hope it comes to one of my streamers eventually because I enjoy reading th e discussion. Thanks all.
OAL,
If you use a VPN and set it to Hong Kong, you can watch the show without a subscription to Viu. It will have 2 or 3 short commercial breaks. Super easy, it is literally one button.
Thank you @Late2Kdramas
I’ll try it.

Thanks @pkml3! Have you managed to catch up?
This is a separate request: I believe a couple of BODers (and myself) are watching My Sweet Mobster (16 episodes). Please open a thread per 4 episodes if possible. Episodes 5 and 6 are being aired this week. Thanks in advance. ๐

@agdr03 You’ll really like Episode 10, heheheheh!
I like the overall message of this little show and the trajectory Cha Min’s life took. It was fun and a little ‘healing’ too.
What a cute rom com! I enjoyed the short and sweet drama. I think the funniest moment for me was Doctor Sister’s rap proposal scene on the hospital roof. Hilarious! I enjoyed the positive messages of the show, and I also liked the 2 main leads. Thanks to everyone for all of the interesting commentary!
I’m on it, @GB.
@Pm3, about shorter dramas, it’s helpful when I’m out of time.
However, it doesn’t always make the plot faster.
It does if you prepare first a 16 episodes drama then trim it and do it 12 episodes.
But you can also just put less plot and story, so it changes nothing.
For example…
– Business proposal, 12x60min: yes this drama was our usual rom-com but condensed. Some trope fillers removed in last episodes and ending right on point.
– Death Games, 8x50min: very fast pace, extra condensed. If feels like a 6h movie.
– Lies Hidden in My Garden, 8x60min: very slow pace. It feels like a 2h movie extended to 8h. I still enjoyed the drama for various reason.
– Empress Ki 51x60min: a counter-example with this long drama. The pace is high all along the drama, and even accelerates until the end. One of my fav drama.
My conclusion: it’s about plot and story density, not about the size of the drama.
Hi @WE, you’ve got 17 minutes to go get your drink and run to the loo, etc before our party starts!!! Don’t mess up like last time!

Sorry to bother you @pkml3, but I tried to post a comment twice and both times it went into moderation. I must have used a trigger word!!! Please fish it out for me for the Freaking Fairytale thread. Thanks!
Also, please open a thread for Lost Your Forever (Season 2) starting sometime in July. ๐
