Hi SD n WE. I think of this as a great series ending. Comes full circle but for opposite reasons

It starts with something I don’t understand.
Professor says Lee Shin if she want to comes back in time and save the 12 people, but it’s like it’s her first time travel when it’s not. Or she already saved them all in a previous timeloop?

Everything we have seen before, reinterpreted from a different angle and now with a new player saying the same lines about the best revenge. The ‘victim’, Hwang No Sub, becomes the puppeteer.

@WE, I think the glimpses of her watching her child die multiple times are her previous resets. At least that is the impression I got.

Hwang can’t speak without pause and elongated lines before pause.
Bla blah enalonnnnnn… blah blah and… blah blah.

@GB, I’d need to rewatch, but this episode just go to fast. The drama was already very fast paced, but last episode is a bullet train!!!

@GB you reminded me this drama is full of misdirection all the way till the end.

Yes very fast paced. And heart thumping. So now we have more villains than good guys? Are they grey characters? Should they be punished?

@FF, no they can’t, as Lee Shin does alone the next loop (with hwang). I have this theory because of the first confusing line in this episode. But maybe it’s just their first time loop. Other time, they just die without knowing why.

HUGE event: Lee Shin daugher survived.
It was a SCAM! Reason why she died was because Hwang order the assistant to kill her each time, so Lee Shin is motivated to go back in time. But what is Hwant purpose??!!

@GB, that’s my theory also. Only if you go through the reset do you retain your memories of what happened in the ‘previous’ life. And if you do not go through the reset, you do not retain them. Even, if you had been through resets before. Working hypothesis.

WE I also wonder about Hwangs need for LS. Think it’s because he wants to play like a victim too. So he’s in the game but only LS knows. And maybe Minion Song.

Before I forget to ask this, or time runs out. What ever happened to the extra guy in the first reset that we see? The guy who looks like a bum. Was he the person destroying cars at the junkyard? If so, how did he die? Why did he do the reset? I have not gone back to find his story. Did anyone else notice?

I think Minion Song (like that name), does not know. She has her own back story reason for obeying Hwang. Song balks at administering the drug to LS’s child and Hwang says she will do it because she always has before.

@WE, that hobby sounds creepy.

Going back in time can happen only this 9 january and in the cliff zone. They are just people who discover a kind of fracture in reality. So, they can’t think it could happen later. I love this kind of absurd concept. Somehow, I find it believable.

Yes WE, this is more plausible than other premises for time travel shows.

It looks it should be LS who finds out by chance how she drove off the cliff. But she does not seem to know it now. Plothole?

@GB, I have a supernatural crime in my W s2, using high-concept. And Kang Chul line is something like: “but as it’s impossible for law to find out, we’ll have to do justice ourselves”. 🙂

Why does LS want to reset if her daughter is still alive in this timeline? Am I missing something/?

@GB, I think Hwang discovered the cliff, not Lee Shin. He speaks a bit about that to Park. But I don’t remember if we know how. It sounds not.

We are now in a dramatic situation with Park threatening Ga Hyun. HJ is supposed to die when trying to save her.

The twist: as Ga Hyun know the truth, she can change time, and sacrifice herself so HJ survives. But now she will die…….

GH said she was jealous that Sun Ho had a friend who’d go back in time to save. She thought she could make at least 1 friend who might do that. Remember that her 2 best friends betrayed her.

@FF, GB, no Hwang doesn’t reset alone.
HJ take the other road, but this road leads too to the reset. So now, we have a HJ from future arresting Park and Hwang, and meeting Ga Hyun after reset. She can’t remember him. But he will save her to have broken legs for sure.

We have come to the end of the show!!! What a ride …. still having bits and pieces of why. Well at least HJ managed to change things in the last reset.

@FF, some little parts remain obscur, but as a whole, now I find everything makes sens.
It was a gold screenplay drama. Woo!!

@FF, I watched 2 times, and each time, I was thinking he turned back then choose the right road, but couldn’t get it because his car runs straight away. So now I think the two road separate at point A, then reunite at point B. But his line is so strange. He says “because I believed it”. I think this time travel concept works a lot on psychology, because only their mind goes back in time. And it happens in this strange zone, almost out of reality one.

SH lies over his video player as he is arrested and the hunter-prey video turns off.

@WE, time travel based on psychology was discussed during this drama rewatch. Something along the line of only the mind travelling back in time without physical presence.

I do like the very ending. It was like a tease to the audience. I knew there was no romance and in the end there is the beginning of a romance!

Did anyone notice the hour class that foamed up I think as h j was doing his reset. Great detail in this drama.

Yes that’s what I call a satisfying ending. Most threads tied up. Enough time to see the possible future.

The first time we saw GH, she was angry, resentful. At book signing she refused to accommodate the ppl still in queue when time was up.

HJ had no autograph of hers the whole show!!!! The one thing he had craved.

At the end she offers to sign before dying. In HJs reset, he is not in queue and he gets to be GHs consultant even, and there’s a chance of romance.

All victims would be alive except for the earliest few before Jan 9.

So GH would still have her friends. Very nice indeed.
