I posed my quick takes (but I didn’t expect it to be long comments) on Episode 3 on a separate thread.
So far, so good.
I’m crossing my fingers that the sunbae Sangwoo isn’t in cahoots with the bad hombre. I recognized this actor without problems. He was the dour but sexy guard in “The Matchmakers.”

Yep. That’s him in The Matchmakers. 😃
I loved HJ’s interview between her and SE. I liked that he said to her she did a great job. I like that he knew she was in shocked by her dad’s disappearance and so he gave her time to breathe.
I love that he protected her from his Dad. 🥰
Oooohhh the preview looks good. How am I going to wait till next Saturday? 😂
Question, did SE knew before going to the party that HJ can speak?

@@agdr03 That is the same question I have. It looked like he went to the police station earlier that day, hence he would have found out that she could speak. Do Jae reported something surprising about the gender of the caller, I think.
SE would have put 2 and 2 together by the time he saw HJ on the roof.
I hope I get subs for next week’s Episodes.

@GB , I thought what DoJae reported was that they can identify the gender of the voice and other information. He said he will report it to him once they have it.
It didn’t look like he got that information before he went to the police station. He just went to report the incident and that’s why he was shocked when the officers said she was screaming when HJ was in the car with them.
I could be wrong anyway. I thought he just went to the rooftop because he didn’t want other people hearing his phone call.

Hi @GB I thought what DoJae said to SE was that they are able to have information like gender of 406 and that he will report it to him when they get it. When he went to the police station it didn’t feel like he knew that information already that’s why he was shocked when the officers said she was screaming in the car with them.
When he went to the rooftop I thought he just didn’t want anyone hearing his call.
I will rewatch it and see if SE was wearing the same suit/tie when he watched that video of HJ in the police car. If he’s wearing the same outfit then he knew before going to the police station that she can speak.

Ooopps, I thought my first reply didn’t show up.

This was the story that SE made HJ interpret. I really like it.
There’s a couple here now. The two have lived without being able to open up to each other. Would things have been different if they had been more honest and shown their true feelings? If they try to make an effort now, could they live like any other ordinary couple?
Here’s what SE said to 406. I really like it too.
“Supplementary pages? If you don’t know, listen carefully 406. Hee Joo isn’t supplementary pages. She’s a brand new language. She’s repeated the same hand movements thousands of times to become who she is. People don’t know that. So don’t talk about my wife like that.”
I can feel HJ’s response and I’d like to find out the answer too.
“Then why did you treat her like she was invisible? You say you know her so well. Then why did you do that? Why did you tell her not to think you were a couple?”

The dynamic between SE and HJ made me think of the classic novel “Rebecca” by Daphne du Maurier. The FL in the book (and the Hitchcock movie) is a seemingly weak and plain woman who is married to a recently widowed rich and powerful man. The heroine can speak, but she is intentionally left nameless. She feels like she can’t compete with the glamorous Rebecca, the deceased first wife.
I’m trying to watch without subs once and then rewatch with subs. I’m surprised the subs are slow.
I like the pace and seeing our OTP flustered because of something or other about each other.
