Is SaEon always going to rescue her from mishap by swinging her out of the way? In Episode 2, it’s a speeding motorcyclist in their garage. In Episode 4, it’s a wine glass lobbed by his father at HeeJoo. What’s next? Acid? Kimchee? Bullets?

How is it that she must pay him a penalty of 2B won if she spills the beans about their marriage, but he doesn’t?  Who drew up the contract?

Let’s enjoy the show.

Thanks @pkml3, aside from 1 track villains and the constant need for SE to rescue HJ, it’s quite an engaging watch.

The question of who and why SE has those enemies, what his enemies want (the villain called his Master, whch means there’s more than one) keeps me curious.

The other part is of course when the couple are going to communicate properly.

One big clue that has not been mentioned yet is the fantastic ability of the villains to hack all vehicles in which HJ rides. Even the police car was hacked.

The other question is why the villains want to get at SE through HJ. Why not directly? What are they asking for?

  2. @GB,

They want to get at SE through HJ because she’s his one and only weakness.

    ********

I deleted my comment to post it on the blog. –pm3

@pkml3, thanks for this. It makes good sense. It seems that regardless of whom the mastermind of getting at SE is, it’s all within the family…. or the 2 families. By going through his weakness, it feels like there’s so much contempt, as if they are toying with him. They want to see what he’ll do next.

So much dislike for or lack of care for SE. That and the fact that he says his parents can just change their children, make me question if any of the children are their flesh and blood. Did the rich family who were the patrons of that orphanage go and ‘adopt’ a couple or more kids as it suited them? Just as In Na agreed to the replacement for the wedding, were there other replacements of children when it suited those parents?

We also have Sang Woo now suddenly poking into the Orphanage. He’s going to unearth a barrel of worms.

I wonder how much HJ knows about her step sister and her relationship with SE. She may think that she has to step aside because of In Na. It will be only at that stage that she’ll realise that she does not want to give SE up afterall. (Heh!)

I can’t get Episode 5 and 6 yet. I’ll try later. Thanks very much for your thoughts. I’ve missed reading you in our live watches. 🙂

  4. Ep 5 isn’t out yet on Netflix. It should be ready by 10am EST.

Yes, I’m looking forward to SangWoo’s reveal about the mysterious rich boy he befriended, and the horrifying scene he saw in the basement of the house. It got him interested in…what’s that again? Psychiatry. He’s a criminal psychologist on YouTube, too.

I’m watching Love Your Enemy, too. It’s cute.

With elections done 🤞🤞🤞, I hope to get back into the swing of kdramas again.

  5. Can you please go through the contract between SE and IA? 🤣

I don’t understand it as well with that 2B that HJ has to pay incase their marriage is broadcasted.

So both SE and HJ have families that’s just using them. So sad especially for HJ.

I hope I get some babies for the ending. I miss seeing a whole family in my dramas. The last one was Queen of Tears. 🤞🏻

Looking forward to episode 5 and 6. Hopefully I can get to it earlier after lunch tomorrow.

  6. Queen and @GB, I saw on X that they apparently cancelled showing episode 5 and 6 this week. 😳

I’ll try to watch Love Your Enemy this weekend then.

  7. Caught up on all the episodes so far.

FYI: I see that the next episode is on 12/13. did not see any today.

  8. They’re postponing Eps 5 & 6, @agdr03??

Must be due to the emergency martial law the SK president Yoon SukYeol declared last Tuesday evening (Seoul time). All media was placed under state control, no strikes and demonstrations allowed, etc. Though it lasted for a few hours (6 hours?), it shocked everyone. The producers, director, actors, editors, and subbers of WtPR wouldn’t be in the right frame of mind to continue working on their projects with all the political turmoil.

And the people themselves too wouldn’t be in the right frame of mind to watch politics in their kdrama when their government has taken a weird turn.

Watch “Love Your Enemy” in the meantime. It’s good.

  9. Booo!

Let’s just watch something else then.

  10. My mind keeps going to my memories of “Youth of May” about the Gwanju uprising/massacre. Helps me get an idea of what this recent turn of events must feel like to Koreans.

@pkml3 thanks for mentioning “Love Your Enemy”. I watched the first 2 episodes and enjoyed myself. I LOLed so hard that I had to tell my roommates that I was watching a funny show.

It’s nice to see those experienced actors again. Not an idol drama but a fun rom com with veterans.

The male lead (Joo Ji Hoo?) is the one I ever first watched in Goong (my gateway drama), and it’s nice to see him back in something light.

  12. I am excited to join you all in watching this drama. I sped watch the last four episodes of kairos knowing I will be rewatching them. So I’m ready to start when the phone rings.

Today we get our christmas tree. We buy our tree from a charity. And I really enjoy bringing out all my decorations. This year I have my daughter to join me.

  13. Growingbeautifully (GB)

@MM oh do join us! This is such a romance with the brooding tsundere husband and the delicate wife he wants to protect. We can see that if only they’d been left alone since childhood, they would have been great friends.

It’s a fun watch. I hope a couple of our suspicious characters turn out to be less one-note and more interesting.
