I took a lot of screenshots for this episode and I don’t want them to go to waste. I’ll split up the highlights in Episode 10 so I can upload the photos before deleting them from my files.
There should be one more commentary after this for Episode 10, then I’ll move on Episode 11. Aren’t you glad I’m not recapping the whole series?!!
Love O2O: Episode 10 Swoon Moments
Love O2O: Episode 10’s First Lunch Date
I’ll pick up from where I left off swooned last time.

5. The Bike Ride, part 2
We can’t forget this, right?
She doesn’t want to ride together because people might misinterpret that they were boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. And he counters her, “Since when aren’t we in that kind of a relationship?”
And that flusters her.
As I said in my earlier post on the Lunch Date, this encounter is monumental for her. Her two worlds are crashing: her virtual world where she’s developed a close partnership with her online spouse Naihe, and her real world where she can only admire that campus god Nai from afar.
She’s definitely feeling giddy. But to me, she must have been feeling vertigo as well: vertigo from the loss of equilibrium because her two worlds collided. Up is down and down is up.
That’s why I can picture her processing things and I’m more tolerant with her hesitations and uncertainties. I understand that some viewers might find her moronic but, to me, she’s waaaayyyy plausible than needy helpless thirty-something ahjummas falling for their dongsaengs (cough cough Romance is a Bonus Book. cough cough. Boyfriend. cough cough Something in the Rain. Pardon me, I’ve whooping cough.)
She’s processing. “When…when were we in that kind of relationship? Even though I really want to be in that kind of relationship, I don’t want it to start like this. But come to think of it, I came here planning on sealing the deal with Master.”
Note: When she says “seal the deal with the Master,” I don’t think she’s talking about the FengTeng’s offer to purchase their video. No. She’s referring to her earlier indecision to “nail Naihe down by any means unnecessary” as Netflix subbed it.
Remember? In Episode 9, when she unraveled her feelings for him after his disappearance, she thought of “storming the game and use trickery and seduction” to make him hers. But she decided against at the last second.
The FengTeng business proposal gives her an excuse to carry on with her plan of “seduction.” (She even bought new clothes.)
But the revelation that Naihe is actually Nai in real life upsets her proverbial applecart; her plan “to storm his hideout” like she’s a real life bandit is now in disarray. lol.
From Episode 9:
So she reassesses her next move. “I came here planning on sealing the deal with Master. Now that he’s saying that (that they were in a relationship already)… if I don’t accept, wouldn’t I be losing out? If I accept, I’ll suffer. What’s going on? Stop, stop, stop! Don’t get carried away by Master’s words. There won’t be a way out. I’ll treat him as a virus and keep my distance. Yes, I’ll just get a ride. If we walk, we might run into more people. It’s a faster by bike. Maybe before people can see my face clearly, I can slip away and it’ll be over.”
See that? She probably feels that things are going too fast and getting out of HER control.

But Nai interrupts her thoughts by teasing her. “My biking skills aren’t that bad so you don’t have to make that face. You look like you’re going to your death.“
And she wonders again, “Was my expressions so grave?”
No, girl. He’s teasing you because your face is so expressive and is going through weird contortions.
Like this:
See that? She doesn’t look like she’s facing death. She looks like a cat that swallowed a canary.
6. The Bike Ride, part 3
This is a cute part. She’s about to have wardrobe malfunction with her short, flimsy skirt so Nai, ever the gentleman, stops by a store.
While waiting outside, she realizes (this is a day of discovery for her!) that there’s no escaping public attention when she’s with him. Thank goodness, he comes out of the store quickly. In three minutes or less, he bought a bag of random snacks heavy enough to weigh down her skirt.
Sometimes I’m beginning to dislike it when he smiles… because he’s so right. Yup! That’s omniscience for you, Weiwei. Deal with it.
And as they cycle off, they both smile for difference reasons.
He’s happy that she’s no longer fidgeting and is happily riding with him. And she’s happy that the old reliable Naihe that she’s come to know and love online is back. By his thoughtful and sweet gesture, she recognizes him as her familiar partner Naihe.
He tells her to hold on tight.
She does and while clinging to him, she decides, “Maybe I should be more courageous. Xiao Nai…so what if he’s Xiao Nai? In the future, he’ll be Xiao Nai.”
Meaning, she’ll soon reconcile herself with the reality that her Naihe is THE Nai.
But when she ignores the inconvenient truth that he’s Xiao Nai, campus god, and just focuses on him as he is right there and then, in front of her, helping and protecting her, he’s no longer an intimidating stranger but her familiar companion.
“To me right now, he’s more like Naihe. Just Naihe. And I like him.”
When they get to the gym, he tells her to wait for him.
She scampers away. She can be courageous another day, she tells herself. lol.
Of course, Nai smiles as she runs away. To me, he looks like he remembers how she hightails it everytime he’s around —
At the track, Episode 4
And he stares at her, confused.
and in the lecture hall, Episode 5
And he’s stares after her, shocked.
Some things never change.
She makes a run for it
but then she stops and walks slowly.
He stares again after her but this time he understands her.
Online, she stands her ground and even attacks first, but offline, she’s a runner.

This wasn’t subbed in other sites so I took a screenshot. Sigh… how can he look like a Dashen even when he’s holding a plastic bag? If I were his wife, I’d ask him to take out the trash out every night so I could ogle at him. (pwahahaha.)
I love this bike ride right from when he said, ‘when are we not in that kind of relationship?’. I would have been shock and would ask to be excuse for 5 minutes to get my mind and heart to work properly. hehehe I won’t run away, I just want to be alone with my thoughts. 🙂
That bike ride was surreal and for XN to be aware of her needs was amazing. I always like a real gentleman.
Sorry for butting in I was wondering if anyone here knows Chinese. There is this scene when he comes out of the shop and hands her the bag of snacks and a drink to eat that part hasn’t been subbed so I was wondering what he says to her
Where wasn’t it subbed? On Netflix? Or Viki?
Do you mind telling me the exact time so I can take a look? It makes it easier for the folks here to search for the scene.
Thanks.
It’s episode 10 from 23:27. Dashen gives her the snack bag and afterwards offers her a drink too but that part is not subbed.
I’m looking at the YouTube video.
I miss this couple! 😍
Thanks, @agdr03. I checked Viki and the sub was there.
And you wouldn’t believe it. He said the most profound thing ever!!! I was totally shocked!
As he handed the bag of chips to her, he said, in the deepest manliest voice ever, — wait for it —

“Hold this.”
pwahahaha. I’m dying here.
I’ll edit the blog post and include the screenshot. 🙂
Hold it for me! 🤣 Totally Epic! That made my night! 😂
Only from him can you not refuse. I would have said ‘please?’. 😆
Gosh! That picture of him holding a plastic bag is still 😍
That’s the right scene, isn’t it? They didn’t have it subbed? I wonder why?
Were the subbers momentarily blown away by how handsome he looked? 😂
Ha! You would have said “please?” but I would have given him an either/or choice. Like this:
“Either I hold it or what? you’ll kiss me? Whoops! I dropped the bag! I guess I’m not holding it, right?”
Go ahead and kiss me!
Waaaaaa! Yours is way better! 😂 Wei Wei gets flustered whenever he looks at her so she’s like, sure! 😄 It is their first meeting in person so I can’t blame her. 😍
What about when he handed her the can of drink? Is there any subs there?
Can of soda?
I didn’t see him hand her a can of soda. There was just the bag and the soda can must have been in it.
Hahaha. Did we stumble upon two versions of the same scene??!!
Yes! The YouTube version has him opening a can of soda and giving it to her. Those were not subbed.
Check it out when you have time. I didn’t notice because I watched in Netflix. 😊
