I think TQ’s story of her hardship triggered his dream. He knew that TQ’s hardship would have been Zhaoer’s too because they both grew up orphans after their parents suffered horrible death. TQ’s sad story could have been Zhaoer’s sad story.

Yes, she had a busy day. She could sleep because she had many things to think about after that busy day. Her mind was still active.
And the funny thing was, re, her access permit, JH promised to think about it. But he gave his decision right away.
He knew she was lying about needing the access permit. She said it was to find a cure for him outside the mansion. But he knew it was for her to play around.
Despite that, he gave it to her because one) he was sorry for her and two) he realized that she would need it to go home whenever she was feeling homesick.
JH was more a man of action because he had the power to move things his way, and nobody would question him (just like what he told Mr. Sheng). TQ however couldn’t be a woman of action because she had no power here.

But we both know that he did NOT have a good time but he gave her the permit anyway because he commiserated with her sad story of being orphaned and homeless and penniless. In his mind, Tian Qi could have been his Zhao’er. (not knowing that he was right).
But we both know that for JH, their first date was miserable.
One, he was bumped and jostled in the street because nobody gave way to him.
Two, he was called Bai which he didn’t like (and he shouldn’t anyway if he knew the real meaning)
Three, he had to fight off thugs
Four, he starved
Five, he was told that he looked cute when he was smiling… when he was a general.
Six, he succumbed to her teasing ways and bit on nothing.
Eight, his mind was corrupted by porn
Nine, he had to deal with those prostitutes and he didn’t like to consort with them.
Ten, he had to drink and he doesn’t drink.
Eleven, he was moved/guilt-tripped into giving an access permit (against his better judgment)
So the outsiders didn’t see all the trouble he went through that day.
And the romantic thing was he gave her the access permit despite all these things.

Too funny when you think of all the aggravation he went through that day, their first date, with her. If he hadn’t been indulging her that day, everything that happened to him would have tested his patience, Not only would she drive him mad, she would drive to his early death.
I found that comment funny. He escaped alive from the battlefield but he couldn’t survive a day with her.
So yes, he learned how to take her with a sense of levity. He wouldn’t enjoy her company if he didn’t unbend his autocratic and overbearing ways.
Oh dear, so much for first dates. 😄 But because of Zhao’er, TQ was able to get a permit pass.
Yeah with JH relating Zhao’er to TQ, he’s doing what he thinks he should do for her. That’s why he used the fireworks too when she’s officially found out to be a woman. ☺️

I like this episode now. At first I thought it was just fluff or filler. But the beginning and ending made sense. That remark by Ji Zheng’s attendant framed their day’s adventure in proper context. To the outside the world, JH had a good time with TQ so he rewarded her with this master key (modern day version of the access permit). But only the two of knew what really happened. JH was disappointed with and greatly inconvenienced by his day outing. It didn’t turn out the way he wanted. He was put out.
But he gave her the key because he began to feel for her. He began to understand her. That annoyed “If I took you seriously, I would have died of anger.” was ironic. He was beginning to take her seriously, but, as he’d find out later, he was going to die of anger but he was willing to die of guilt and remorse…and that L word. Love.
So yes, this whole episode was important in their relationship. He gave her an access permit but that access permit wasn’t just for her to go in and out of the Ji mansion. It was also for her to enter into his emotional world. It was a MASTER key, alright. A key to him.

To me the classic use of hands to make strong statements was the brilliant ending of the 1931 Charlie Chaplin silent film “City Lights”. It’s available on YouTube. If you haven’t seen the film and want to know what it is about, here’s a quick synopsis. The lady in the florist shop was originally blind, but has a secret rich gentleman benefactor who paid for her sight to be restored. In the ending she finds out the who the secret benefactor really is. Get the hankies ready!

I checked the imdb and it had the wrong synopsis. My guess is this synopsis was referring to the original book or manuscript. For one, Ji Heng wasn’t the Emperor.

Yes. I know what you mean but the use of hands in “City Lights.” With her hands, she realized that this poor street bum was her secret benefactor, not the rich gentleman she’d pictured in her mind. Sniff.
Kawaii is Japanese for “cute”. Kuai in Chinese could possibly mean “good” (behavior). So potentially it could mean “Little good one”. When you add “Xiao” in front of anything, it usually has attaches endearment to it. So Xiao Bai would be “Little White”. It also has connotations of “cute” so generally if you want to address someone in a cordial but manlier way, you would address them with a “Lao” instead of “Xiao”.
Sorry I got mixed up. Guai is good in Chinese not Kuai. So scrap that about him calling you little good one. 😂

Are you watching “Memorist”? How was “Hospital Playbook”?
I am not watching Memorist. Hospital Playbook is where it’s at for me right now. Clever scripting. The writer (as with previous works) has this knack of blending dry wit/humour (which I much prefer to slapstick) with the dire (despondent/sad) in real life. So it leaves you dying of laughter one minute and then close to tears the next. I really like it. Will definitely stay to watch on. I was right in the guess that PD selected cast with musical backgrounds. They all know how to play instruments (and sing). Really they do…it’s not pretend play. The guy who is in Warm and Cozy is in it. I really like him. He’s a mad drum player. This is them playing. The female vocalist is actually in musical theater- she’s a really good singer…so she’s totally hamming it up here. The boys know she’s really bad…but put up with her. I couldn’t stop laughing at this scene. 😂

@nrllee , I’ve started on Hospital Playlist but I’m getting sleepy so I stopped after 20 minutes but there’s a mystery on who is Chairman’s Ahn’s youngest son right? He’s a doctor and he smokes (reminded me of Taek 😍). His siblings are two priests and two nuns.
I’ll continue tomorrow but the first thing that grabbed me is how doctors are really hard working people and it’s a given that saving lives is their number one priority. Oh I’m not sure about the first doctor though. 😄 Their conversation was funny, all was said was did you want to do it? Are you doing it? I’m like what is it? 🙄😄 Something like that.

I’ve watched episode 1 and yes I like it too. I cried when the Mom was told that her son’s liver transplant was successful and that her Mom’s biopsy was benign. Also when the other Mom thanked the doctor for taking care of her daughter during the months that was at the hospital. I’m a cry baby that way. 😁Then I laughed at the band practice and the negotiations that went along before it. It is quirky and yeah I’m ok for now with the Catholic references.
I’m still trying to remember their names but there’s only the first episode so I’ll wait too for the second episode. ☺️
@agdr03, I was crying, too. The actress who played the mom who thanked the doctor was really great in Chocolate. She has a lot of talent. The other Mom, ‘I’m the unluckiest… to I’m the luckiest…’ poor doctor, she didn’t know what to do next. Loved that she sent the lift on when the door opened.
I thought it was hilarious how the religious vocations were described. ‘Very busy with his other job; has a job with someone very high up’ But the widow indicated that none of those listened to her and she was frustrated with them. I had to laugh at that as well, because where I’m from, if a child got ordained, it was like a golden ticket for the whole family. But despite their ordination, they are the same people with normal human habits and temperaments. Like the brother in the chicken cafe. Lol.
The negotiations and the bank as an employment perk. Lol.

I’ve watched Memorist too and I like it as well. It really is similar to He’s Psychometric except people knows about his supernatural power. I don’t mind that it’s not a romance drama. 😊
@nrllee and @agdr03, the Darth Vader helmet with a surgeon’s cap over the top was the best thing ever. Reminiscent of Roald Dahl’s Matilda, but Matilda did it on purpose. (Would a hospital have a supply of acetone? Lol.) Loved the way the other doctors took care of his little son whilst Darth was in the O.R.
Ref Jeong-won’s brother, I loved the little scrawled note issuing out of the confessional. 😂 I hope that the humour continues throughout.

It’s just great that TQ can put two and two together. Smart girl! But JH’s plans of counter attack was beats them all. 😄
I’d written about this before, but I really liked the way she concluded that her chance was to stick with JH —
“I’m the Imperial doctor sent by His Majesty, and I’m also the general’s personal doctor. If she wants to hurt me, she needs to ask the general about it.
She needs an excuse to take me away from General Ji, and then kill me secretly. As a mother, she needs a reason to take away her son’s servant so that it won’t hurt her son’s feelings. She can say that she wants me to take care of her since I’m a good doctor. That’s the only possible reason she can offer to take me away.
She was thinking how to block J’s mom without directly confronting her.
She told Dr. Ding, “I’m saying that I must stay near General Ji and hold on to him. And then play it by ear. I’ve to do my best to stay by his side.”
At the end, she wasn’t afraid anymore to stand up to JH’s mother. Although she didn’t physically harm the mother, she was clear that she didn’t want anything to do with her.
Motioning her to leave her sight was much better than slapping or kicking the mother. It had more dignity. 🙂 And she didn’t reduce herself to his mom’s level.
TQ didn’t know how to wait because she wasn’t a general in the army? 🙂

Here, I’ve the conversation from Ep 11 after she fainting during the military training.
She recovered and went to him that night.
JH: Didn’t I tell Sheng that you don’t need to serve me these days?
TQ: I’m afraid you couldn’t sleep well without me.
JH: It sounds like you’re essential to me.
He was annoyed because she made it sound like he couldn’t live without her.
TQ: I don’t think that way. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have taken me to the training grounds to torture me.
I like her jab here. lol. She was making him feel guilty.
JH: TQ, how can you think me in that way? You said you want to go to the front with me as a doctor so I brought you to the training ground. On the training ground, I tried to stop you. But you insisted on doing it yourself.
I agree with JH. It was her fault really. How would he know that she was lying when she said that she admired how JH was doing so much for his country as a fighter.
TQ: I asked Mr. Sheng. No doctor ever went to the training ground before. Doing such a practice. My lord, if you hate me, you can just send me away.
But that’s it. He made an exception for her because he thought that he was doing something SHE wanted, that he was fulfilling a dream of hers to learn how to fight.
JH: Alright. It’s my fault for jumping the gun. I didn’t take your physical qualities into account. Tell me. What compensation do you want?
And TQ managed to twist the situation around to make him pay up and her debt. Of course, JH didn’t fall for that trap because he accompanied her to the bank to deposit the extra money left over from paying her debt.
The relevance of this conversation? It taught JH that TQ wasn’t stupid, that she could be conniving as well.
And that’s how he reassessed the situation and realized that TQ had planned this chicken pox of hers. She was using this as an excuse to hide from his mom.
Just like she used JH’s mistake of ordering her at the training ground to her advantage. hahaha.
Yes, Dr Ding was wonderful here. He really came through. She needed someone to take care of her while she was incapacitated.
And I like how the script worked everything out — that it was Ji Zheng who ended up administering to her all night. I liked that. The writer could have easily written JH at her side again that night. But the plot wouldn’t have moved forward. It would have simply repeated the repeat of the arrow scene.
So now it’s JZ’s turn. And this added to the JH’s suspicions and jealousy.

It’s interesting to note that JZ said if there’s someone meant for him to marry then he’d ask for JH’s help.

Asst: (gasping and falling down to his knees) My lord, you’re blessed and fortunate. Don’t say anything ominous. I said too much. Punish me please.

Asst: I don’t know.

And he smiled here. It wasn’t his fake smile that he gave his mom and Ning’er. With them, he had a fake smile because he understood what they were doing, and he didn’t like it.
Here, he was smiling because he understood TQ’s plotting and he was amused by her tactics.

hahaha. I laughed here. He was being witty but Mr. Sheng didn’t catch on. He didn’t understand what JH was alluding to: his mom’s anger. If she found that he visited Tian Qi, she would only become determined to get TQ out of his household. Nothing good would come out of his visit, so he was going to avoid her.
JH: (continuing) And it’s not the chicken pox that’s trying to kill him. I just can’t go against mother because of him. (thinking to himself) Tian Qi, Tian Qi. Should I save you? How?
Yes, I wondered what would happen to RuYi. I suppose he could stay in Manor Ji since he bonded with TQ.

I feel that there was a background story to Ruyi and his dad that was edited out.

The funny thing about this whole dinner with mom was both brothers were attracted to TQ but weren’t saying anything.
JZ was the obvious one. He gave himself away when he secretly smiled as he was thinking of TQ and his stepmom noticed it.
JH wasn’t so obvious. When he was being pushed to marry by his mother, he readily blocked her with excuse about his recent assassination. Of course, marriage didn’t enter his mind because the woman he was waiting for was still disguised as a man. But as soon as he found out about her identity, he proposed to her the following day.
JZ really took his time here.

Yesterday afternoon was spent planning ‘continuity of education’ whilst government updates kept pinging in on teachers’ phones. Crazy. The school has a good plan and a joint teachers/governors meeting helped to refine it further. Just dreading the situation if my younger daughter has 4 weeks off…she isn’t a naturally calm person. Unlikely that she’ll watch dramas with me.

Hi @Fern , yes schools here are still on. The government’s reasoning are – that school kids are not much affected by the virus, if they stay home (their parents whose in the healthcare system) their parents might have to as well but they are needed at work, if parents still go to work then it’ll be their grandparents that will take care of them but we don’t want them to be infected as the risk is higher for them.
There are those few that closed but that’s because their ready for online studying. My boys school keeps updating us as well. But I think their preparing for it already.
I’m starting work from home next week so it doesn’t affect me but I do feel for those who doesn’t have anyone to take care of their kids. Hopefully there’s a line where both can meet.
It is a bit hard when your supposed to isolate for a long time, at some point you would get bored. 🙁 I hope your daughter will find something that will take up her time and help her to be calm. 🙏
I told myself I’ll spring clean my house, as in spotless, then do lots of walking with the boys if ever schools close.

It was obvious from the conversation between JH’s mom and her steward/the bad guy that his real target was TQ.
He advised her to ler Mr. Sheng deal with the Marquis Marvel. But Marquis Marvel’s sidekick during that outing, TQ, should be given more attention. And his reasoning was because General Ji was interested in her affairs, too.
I like that pivot. They were talking about JZ and TQ’s outing but suddenly it became about JZ’s staying overnight by TQ’s sick bed. General Ji heard of the gossip and he ordered that gossip to be stopped. He didn’t want *her* to be in trouble.
And the mom fell for it. She could have defended her son’s action and reasoned out that he was protecting his brother’s reputation, not TQ’s.
She’s so gullible.
I’d be annoyed if he were my son. Going over my head like that. And fooling me with a smile. lol.

He was going to “believe” in him = tolerate the Hermit’s mumbo-jumbo as long he went along with Ji Heng’s plans. Losing JH’s belief = punishment for the Hermit for fraud)

TQ looked so clueless.

I like the editing in this episode. Instead of just showing us the conversation with JH, the hermit and mother, they cut it in segments, and then they gave us the other side of the action with TQ and Mr. Sheng.
Then, the whole plan was revealed in a flashback after Mr. Sheng reported that the hermit had left the mansion.
The editing made sense, and it didn’t cause confusion among the viewers, and the story was seamless.
And that’s one thing I was complaining about in Hospital Playlist. The editing was terrible. The director/writer/whoever was trying to be clever but I think it failed when viewers couldn’t make sense of the events without watching the episode two, three times over.
Yup, he’s the General and Governor so he definitely has the right to give those orders to the Hermit. ☺️

Me, I also like the way Ji Heng motioned for Mr. Sheng to leave them alone, and Mr. Sheng did it right away.
In contrast, Ji Zheng had to TELL Chunhua and his steward to leave them alone so he could tell TQ something. It wasn’t only appropriate for them to be left alone (since he knew she was a girl already) but it was also unusual (they weren’t often together).
Unlike JZ, Ji Heng was regularly seen in TQ’s company. Just the two of them. Mr. Sheng was used to being told to leave them alone.
It’s all part of the brotherhood promise, you protected me so I’ll protect you. ☺️
The dialogue just doesn’t sound nice, let’s blame the scriptwriter. 😂
Mr Sheng knew when they needed privacy. Except that one time when they were hugging each other. That was funny and the actor playing Mr Sheng did a good job. 😄

She didn’t even know the full story about JH’s role in rescuing her from his mom. As far as she was told, JZ was the one who stepped in and was prepared to fight to get her released from Mr. Sheng.
This is the kind of appreciation that JZ was expecting from her. This happy and excited face.
All Ji Heng had to do was show up at her place and she was so appreciative already. He was her dream come true.
Of course, we know that TQ’s habit of overdoing her flattery to the point that Mr. Sheng just laughed it off as her being shameless again.
But her facial expression didn’t lie here. She was really happy to see him.

Ahh, I liked the difference in them because it’s so opposite of each other. But poor JZ. When you hug someone but that person doesn’t hug you back, it’s not meant to be. 😬

And General Ji was back to his nagging and scolding ways. He couldn’t nag her for two days since he was avoiding her so his mother wouldn’t find out that he’d been visiting her sick bed.
He held it all in.
But now that his mother was off the case, all his pent-up concern came out. And the things that he wanted to say, but couldn’t, came out.

His emotions were all over the place. Usually, he was on point. But here? All the things that he wanted to tell her the last two days just came out, like a verbal diarrhea. (lol).

I like how our Mr. Sheng is guiding TQ here to show just he right amount of “enthusiasm.”
Normally, I’d be irritated if an actress over-exaggerated but I don’t mind Sun Qian because the role demanded it. And because there’s the voice-over that said that Tian Qi herself was aware (and cringing) that she was being clownish. She had to be over-the-top to ingratiate herself.
This is my problem with “I’ve Fallen for You.” When that actress did OTT, I wanted to roll my eyes or exit out of the site.

I was actually watching IFFY this afternoon and I thought the only thing that’s going for me there is the OST. 😂 It has good music, I have to say. And Mr. Sheng approved of their interaction because he was looking “cute,” too, like TQ. He was changing from being fierce and serious 24/7.
I like this Cdrama because we didn’t get a lot of side stories. The focus was almost always on our couple. We got to have a lot of interactions. If ever we had scenes with JZ, they were either to move the plot forward or to contrast her relationships between the two brothers.

Yes. This episode was fast-paced.
So many things happened and set in place that would move the plot later on.
1. We had the mom commanding her bad guy, “Don’t hurt her until I tell you too.” That’s going to come in play later.
2. We had this conversation between Lord Sun and his son. He told his son that JH couldn’t be the king’s favorite and most trusted guy forever. JH was both in charge or regional politics and military affairs. He thought he was unbeatable so the dad would try to stir the pot.
3. Then this meeting with JZ and JZ’s jade promise
4. And so on.
The writer was setting up everything nicely.

in the last episode, he was worried that he couldn’t save Tian Qi in time, every time. He felt that he was lucky to be around when she was “captured” by JH to be killed. He wanted her out of his brother’s mansion but in the meantime, he was giving her his jade.
He thought his brother was a threat to TQ. He was unaware that JH had planned everything to save TQ.
So he forced his jade on her, saying, “if you hold this, it means you’re my man.”
He continued, “I’ve been through a lot of danger during these years of traveling. But when you were in danger, it was the first time I got scared. Tian Qi, I don’t want to lose anyone important to me. Take it as if it were for my peace of mind.”
Was the sub correct here @agdr03?
If it was somebody else who offered the jade, it would have been romantic. It was like a lover’s token.
He wanted her to take it for his PEACE of mind, that is, he’d rest easy knowing she was under his protection. She wouldn’t be killed off easily.
But he also meant the jade to be a PIECE of him. That is, everywhere she went, he would be with her in spirit. It was a lover’s token, like a ring. She was his.
So of course, if you were a girl, you wouldn’t be ready for this kind of “commitment.” I know, I would.
But he was really sweet about the whole thing so if I were TQ, too, I wouldn’t be able to shout, “heck no, dude!” to his face. He wasn’t forcing me, i.e., he wasn’t a hard sell. But I’d know the hidden meaning and it was burdensome.
He would make a good car salesman.
I like that TQ is still trying to get back on his good side by telling him that she can show him some places that’s fun to go. But he said not interested. 😒
Oh this connects to the epilogue like @Fern said. I guess he didn’t get to see the market town a lot that’s why they must go to it often to sight see. 😊

In modern day, it’s like a guy giving you an engagement ring. He can’t just say,
“Heyyyy. You’re a gift from god. Take this diamond ring. But it doesn’t mean anything really. It’s just to protect you in the event that you encounter assassins.”
That’s silly. The ring, by itself, is a love declaration. Even when he downplays it, (like he did), “You…You don’t have to take this too seriously,” he can’t ignore the meaning behind the gift.
The poor guy is really in love with her. But he’s afraid to tell her directly.
Yes, that is the sub at Viki too. It was nice of him to give it to her and really it’s all about protecting her life. But yeah, it was burdensome too. As much as JZ thought about it, TQ felt that is was too much and yeah, you can’t just say, no I’m good, thanks.😄

Basically, it’s draw-the-General-that-you-like. There’s one to suit your mood. General Ji could be whatever the buyer dreamed him to be.

At that point, I thought if JH had been beside TQ he would have scolded her already for being stupid. Why couldn’t she look at where she was walking? After all, when they were strolling down the same street, it was TQ who was rescuing him from bumping into people and getting into fights (remember?). But now that she was with Ji Zheng, she seemed so oblivious to her surroundings.
But Ji Zheng took this opportunity to make a move on her. He offered to hold her hand.
“There are so many vehicles. I should hold your hand.”
And she immediately answered, “Ugh, no please, my lord. We’re both men! Others will laugh at us.”

See here. This could be interpreted in two ways. The LGTB would protest and say that this Chinese drama is homophobic. 🙂 But in the context of this drama, TQ was thinking that it was absurd to accuse her (the female Tian Qi) of forming a relationship Ji Zheng because she doesn’t like that way. It was an uncomfortable thought… and we saw that, didn’t we? When she was offered the jade.
lol. The writer was being sneaky. It was abiding by the Chinese Ministry of Culture’s rules but at the same time, it was teasing the viewers to think however they want to interpret this scene.
But her reaction to JZ when he gave her the jade was almost the same as her reaction to JHeng when he suggested that she and JZ were having a liaison. It was “NO. No way. No. “

When she realized that JH was upset, she backpedalled. Earlier, she was protesting the double standards. The other guys could watch shows like this, but she and JZ weren’t allowed. But now she opted for the “lesser offense” and agreed that this sort of show was indeed bad because they were erotic.

JH was saying that he recognized that she’d been brave all this time. But she didn’t need to fight all alone now that he was there, too.
JZ however was the knight for the damsel in distress. He was going to come to her rescue. Giddyap, horsey, let’s rescue TQ!
For me, after that incident with the chicken pox, JH figured out that TQ was a fighter, too. That she wasn’t going to sit quietly and be taken away. She was going to fight for her survival, too.
And he knew this very well, because he’d seen her do it every time he threatened to kill her. She’d devised a way to get out of his “death” orders.
But Ji Zheng didn’t know this survivor side of her. To him, she was like that flower to be protected.
Oh yes. JH was definitely fishing when he asked TQ.

I like that difference in protecting TQ by both brothers but of course we’d prefer our FL to not be a damsel in distress. She needs to be able to protect herself somehow. TQ’s resolves came from her parents too when they said to her, you need to live your life.
I liked your damsel in distress idea. TQ was reluctant to have JZ be her knight in shining armour, but she didn’t mind if JH defended her.
I loved TQ’s response to the choice of whom JZ should marry. Very clever, and wise as well. Put a full stop to the conversation.

But Ji Heng thought Tian Qi was a guy so he expected her to put up an effort, a decent effort, to save herself. But now that he was there as her “blood brother,” she didn’t have to go at it alone. She could rely on him, too.
I guess if he’d known that she was a girl, he’d also do the Ji Zheng route, i.e., I’ll do everything for you, just sit there and relax.
That was why she got upset at both in the last episode, wasn’t it? Because the brothers didn’t inform her of their plan or something? They acted on their own without letting her know.
If JZ told the truth to JH, will he actually admit that he’s attracted to TQ too? Maybe. Interesting if the story did go that way.

The short hike was good. Very windy, though; blew away the cobwebs as they say, and refreshed us. The gorse is starting to bloom, so it brightened the overcast day. Once we were over the border of the park, we saw wild ponies and sheep. One sheep had a baby lamb curled up with it right on the side of the road. It’s just a quarter hour uphill from here.

Just when we are supposed to stay in, the sun comes out and the trees are blossoming. Haha, I tried to kill off a camellia tree that was in the wrong place several years ago. It has re-sprouted and produced one stem of the same red camellias as in ‘Weather’.
We will fill these lock-down days with projects. We can plant seeds for summer crops and flowers; try to fill the dog-dug pits in the back garden lawn; trim & tidy; spring clean; etc. I will ask younger daughter to be my fitness instructor for additional allowance. Older daughter can be my nutrition expert.
How is the home school/boredom patrol going for you? Are you feeling that you can cope alright? Facebook is full of good ideas/projects for younger children, but you have to wade through so much doom & gloom to find them. I really am not sure if I could have done very well if mine were still in primary school. It will take a lot of determination and planning, I suppose.
We’re ok too so far. It’s the first day of home schooling and it wasn’t so bad because the school has set guidelines already. I just check with the boys and made sure they’re getting the information and that they’re actually working on it. My boys aren’t bored yet but give it another day. I agree, if my boys were in primary school too, I might be exhausted every day.
For a break my eldest does skateboarding inside the house but we don’t really have a long hallway for it. 🤦🏻♀️ I couldn’t decide when to have our walk so I’ll see how we go tomorrow. My clearing of stuff haven’t started yet but definitely tomorrow too.

Their girlfriends are in the medical field. One is a hospital doctor and the other one is in research. They said that this virus is new and they’re still discovering a lot of things. For now, to be on the safe side, take paracetamol for fever. Yes to Tylenol. No to Motrin or Advil. Of course, consult your personal doctor for everything.

When I was little we used to skate board and roller skate in the basement in the winter, round and round the giant fire-breathing furnace in the centre. Until one night most of the old ceiling tiles fell down on us. My father was so PO’d. I had forgotten about that until @agdr03 mentioned the skateboard. Yesssss. She is a cool mom!
My husband is in bio-med research, too. He said that the government requested all of his University’s PCR machines that weren’t already in use for COVID19 research to be re-deployed as COVID testing machines. There is so much to plan, change, train, communicate and implement with correct priorities and contracts in place. It will take many minds working together. I admire those who are taking this on in local government, healthcare and education.
Please take care of yourselves and get enough sleep and exercise to help cope.

I bought 1 each of the paracetamol but my sister said I cannot use the other one for fever like you said. Hopefully we won’t need to use both.

@agdr03, yes, paracetamol is the one to use for the virus. I normally avoid it and use ibuprofen because of effects of paracetamol on liver at high doses, but ibuprofen is not recommended now. (I used to work for a liver disease researcher.)
Husband says there is some evidence that ibuprofen may suppress the immune system. My husband believes the evidence is ‘scanty’ and if you can’t get paracetamol use ibuprofen if you have nothing else. I would recommend official guidelines. If you have had reactions to either in the past, best call your doctor for alternatives. Ugh. I had pneumonia about 10 years ago and the doctor prescribed a normal painkiller that also had codiene. It worked but I had strange dreams.
Younger daughter has made an exercise chart for me. She is SO chuffed to be able to bully me! Planks, sit ups, even kettle bells. Help!😂
The girls bicker because they each like to be alpha. The older has better logic and vocabulary so the younger gets very frustrated and turns to less acceptable means. They got along yesterday and took nice photos. They went to a stone circle. The stones were casting long shadows because it was late in the day!
I prefer ibuprofen too @Fern , I’ve only used paracetamol to the kids when their younger so we’ve gotten used to it but now I have to remember that the paracetamol is the one to use. Thanks 😊
