I’m still watching “Good Job” and “Today’s Webtoon” on Viki. Viki must have made new arrangements with Viu and IQiYi because the dramas are released almost 97% subbed. No wait time. I haven’t forgotten about cdrama, “Love Between Fairy and Devil.” I stopped at Episode 18.
Here are the new dramas I’m watching this month.
1. Once Upon a Small Town
You can binge watch this. The last episode will air end of this month, Sept 28.
The quaint pastoral backdrop of this romcom caught my eye but what hooked me in was the comical mishaps of the veterinarian, Han Ji Yul. The hero was tricked into leaving his Seoul practice to fill in for his grandfather at the rural veterinarian hospital.
Used to dealing with companion pets, he’s horrified to discover that his new patients consist of livestock animals, e.g., turkeys, chickens, goats, and pigs.
Helping him settle in his new job in the country is the village police officer, Ahn Ja Young. Unknown to him, there’s a real reason that she pops up wherever he goes. They used to be childhood friend, but he’s failed to recognize her. While she’s secretly miffed, I think she wants him to remember her without her help.
Cast: Joy (she’s cute) and Choo Young Woo (never heard of him but they look good together)
Episodes: 12 episodes, each one is about 30 minute long
Start Date: Mon, Sept 5.
Airs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Where to Watch it: Netflix
Network: Daum Kakao
2. Love in Contract
This is a wacky concept. Park Min Young plays a wife-for-hire. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, she’s the pretend wife of Go Kyung Pyo’s character. Their contractual relationship has gone well for five years. Trouble starts though when Park Min Young’s character decides to take on another client for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Cast: Park Min Young (“Healer”) and Go Kyung Pyo (“Reply 1988”)
Episodes: 16
Start Date: Wed, Sept 21
Airs on Wednesday and Thursday
Where to Watch it: Viki
Network: tvN
3. Little Women
Loosely based on Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women.
The mother in this kdrama is the complete opposite of Marmee March. Instead of adoring their Marmee, the three women in the kdrama distrusted their mother, even before she absconded with their hard-earned money. The mother in the novel was looked up to by the girls as the perfect mom. Not only was she a selfless and loving mom, she was supportive of her husband who was fighting in the American Civil War.
Kim GoEun’s character is the eldest in the kdrama. To me, however, her personality resembles the second eldest character and heroine in the book, Jo. Jo is fiery and opinionated.
Nam Ji Hyun’s character is the middle child in the kdrama, but I think she resembles the eldest child, Meg, who’s gentle and kind. In the book, however, it’s Jo who becomes the companion of their Aunt March.
The youngest daughter reminds me of Amy in the book. Amy is the artist in the family.
Anyway, it should be interesting seeing how the kdrama adapted the novel.
Cast: Kim GoEun (“Yumi’s Cells,” “Goblin”), Nam Ji Hyun (“100 Days, My Prince”) and Park Ji Hyu (never heard)
Episodes: 12
Start Date: last Saturday, Sept 3
Airs on Saturday and Sunday
Where to Watch it: Netflix
Network: tvN
4. My Cdrama this month is still “Love Between Fairy and Devil.”
So what are you all watching this month?

@Table2000 and @GB, I’ll transfer your posts here first thing tomorrow. I’m about to conk out in 5…4…3…2…1.
Thanks @pkml3. I’m seeing to a children’s retreat. I’ll be back.
Hi @pkml3, I hope you’ve managed to get a good rest.
I’d like to request for a new Love Between Fairy and Devil Rewatch Thread for episodes 7-12 for this Friday’s (9 Sept 2022) rewatch. We may be able to cover some 6 episodes per week. I’m thinking we can manage with just 5 more rewatch threads. Thanks in advance!!

I try not to get sucked in by Variety Shows, but this one, ‘Youth MT’ has a host of young actors whom I’d like to watch, being themselves.

I don’t even know if I can get to watch this show, but at 8 episodes it’s not too long a commitment. 🙂

Wow! September is already here and today the unofficial last day of summer. The September dramas I want to check out:
Little Women- cast, director, and writer all top notch. Production looks promising. At only 12 eps, should be a tight and fast paced drama, so refreshing change. Prelim reviews on first 2 eps were very positive, so looking forward to checking this drama out. On Netflix.
Once Upon A Small Town – Looks cute. Short & sweet 12 eps rom com about a young veternarian. Cute animals and fluffy romance? I will def check it out. On Netflix.
Law Cafe- Lee Seung Gi & Rom Com, so will check it out. On Viki & Viu.
Love In Contract- Park Min Young & Rom Com, so will check it out. On Viki.
Love Between Fairy & Devil- Fantasy C Drama, got good reviews so I want to check it out when it comes to Netflix on Sept. 18 [Available at Viki and IQIYI]
Others:
Continuing to watch Good Job at Viki, which I’m finding fun and flirty rom com. Plan to watch C Drama Love Like the Galaxy now that all Eps are edited and released at Viki. (Drama also at WeTV, IQIYI and YouTube)

WHAT WE ARE WATCHING IN SEPTEMBER 2022
@Table, thanks for starting us on what we might be watching this month. I’m basically JOMO-ing except for my crazy obsession with Love Between Fairy and Devil. I’m impatiently waiting for more of us to jump onto this bandwagon once it comes to Netflix. I hope more will enjoy the uncomplicated but swoony romance, and great visuals!
I will wait awhile and try Little Women. Yes I saw just the headline of a positive review on it, and I’m interested.
Thanks for highlighting the genre of Law Cafe and Love in Contract. If I remain in this state of only wanting light, rommy-commy stuff, I’ll check those out too, after I finish some more JOMO-ing.
Like you I’ve still got Good Job, Today’s Webtoon, and even Big Mouth to complete. I just need to be in the mood to watch them.
I’m also waiting to see if anyone is still interested in having the Rewatch Party for Liar Game that was planned 2 months ago.
Catch everyone later! 🙂

Anyone watching “Little Women”? The first two episodes were excellent, and I am looking forward for more.
I am also rewatching “My Country.” Both dramas are rather heavy, so “Good Job” provides me with the perfect distraction and palate cleanser.

Kalimera Ladies!
@SnowFlower I am watching “Little Women”. I am basically watching everything that Kim Go Eun-ni does !
I also saw “Law Cafe” last night and it has “Our Beloved Summer” vibes.
Lee Se Young is amazing and so does Lee Seung Gi! She is totally different from her last role in The Red Sleeve ! I really enjoyed her bubbly and energetic YuRi.
Since I am trying to make a schedule again, I am trying to watch as much as I can, but not stress myself too much. From August’s shows, I am watching “If You Wish Upon Me” and “Good Job”. Also, I have to finish the last episodes of “Cafe Minamdang” and “Yumi’s Cells 2.”
@GB Unnie, I don’t know when I am going to start watching the “Liar Game” or “Love Between Fairy and Devil”
Not to mention that “Lord of the Rings : The Rings of Fire” is out on Prime!
Transferring @Fern’s post here.

I am behind on nearly everything I’ve started. I’m up to date on Webtoon but working on LBFD, Dream of Splendor, Poong and Wish Upon Me. I would like to start Little Women, Law Cafe and Good Job. Wish me luck! I hope all of you are well and enjoying your dramas of choice.
Hi everyone!
I’m still all up in LBFD space, in the last 2 episodes now and then jumping right into the rewatch. I love this drama (and our fav devil) so much – the BOD rewatch could not have come at a better time as it’s helped me forget all about AOS and how sad I felt after ep 20.
Apart from this, I’m veering towards something light and low-angst – life has been really nuts and stressful at the moment. Park Min Young’s Contract Marriage one looks light and fun, so I plan to watch that.
Else, I’m undecided. A few potentials I’m considering:
– I haven’t watched Love Like the Galaxy which BoD seems to rate highly, but considering waiting a month so I don’t compare it unfavorably to LBFD.
– One the woman: Heard really good things about it, it’s all on Viki already so no waiting.
– Once Upon a Small Town sounds interesting from your description, I’ll add that to the list.

Hi @Cleo and @Fern
Just watch what you want, when you can. I’m doing exactly that now. I’m choosing only LBFD now, with Good Job on the side.
Ultimately drama watching is our leisure activity and should not be stressing us out after a day at work!!!
So I’m behind on lots of shows by choice and enjoying the Joy part of JOMO.
I’m thinking I don’t mind starting to watch the new series late, probably when they are out on Netflix for the majority. So I may be seeing the same episodes as most others and will not worry about leaving spoilers.
There’s no issue about postponing the rewatch parties. If there’s a group of 2, the party goes ahead, otherwise it can be put on hold. 🙂
Questions on the Liar Game Rewatch Party
1) Who is still interested in this Rewatch Party?
2) Do we want to start it on Saturday 24 September 2022, or postpone it?
We’ll get views from anyone, especially from those whom I managed to note, voted for it:
@Cleo
@Juriel who said “Liar certainly attracts me”
@WEnchanteur who was the one who liked it a lot and gave us links to the episodes
@salteddust who had not watched it yet
🙂

Hello BOD’z
I miss reading you all. I’ve been busy at work. but I’m watching Poong, Wish upon me, good guy, Today’s webtoon. I started Little Women and loved it. Thanks for the heads up, i will add Law Cafe and Love in contract to my list LOL.
Happy SEptember ya all!
I forgot to ask: did folks end up dropping Poong? I had my eye on that, but not sure if it’s worth watching?

Hi @HK_Lady, great to see you dropping by. It does seem like many are extra busy or on vacation this August-September.
Yes, I hope we can meet up for Little Women and/or Law Cafe and Love in Contract.
Happy September to you too!
Transferring @Welmaris’ post here.

We’re already almost done with first week of September! I’m watching several dramas, but because I’ve been bingeing Love Like a Galaxy, I’ve not taken the time to come here to read or leave comments on other shows.
I finished Love Like a Galaxy last night. I much preferred Zhao Lusi’s acting in this over Who Rules the World, although she was probably doing exactly what the director told her in WRTW.
Still on my current watch list: Today’s Webtoon; Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist; If You Wish upon Me. I started Good Job, but am not impressed with the scriptwriting, at least through the first two episodes, so I’m putting it on hold.
Last night I watched the first episode of Little Women. Wow, what a powerhouse cast it has! The script is tight. I can’t wait to see what clues pan out to have significance. @Packmule3, if I were to presently take the time to discuss a drama, this would be it.
Once I’ve whittled down my current watchlist, I plan to start A Dream of Splendor.
@MrsRJH1
I missed your post where you said :
Are you able to join in for any of our rewatch times? You can see the times in the “Love Between Fairy and Devil” Episodes 7-12 Rewatch Open Thread.
Like you, I only want light and happy shows now. 🙂
@MrsRJH1,
“Once Upon a Small Town” is very, very light and fluffy. But it’s also very picturesque. I find the countryside very soothing. I know it’s the height of summer but you don’t sense the suffocating heat like in “My Liberation Notes.” It’s the romanticized version of country living.
And the “cafe” in the middle of nowhere is quaint. If the production team doesn’t break the set down after the drama ends, I’m sure tourists will flock to it.
Happy September everyone!
Right now I am watching:
• Good Job (I wasn’t wild about the third episode, but I’ll continue on with it for awhile since I like seeing these two actors together).
• I started Law Cafe last night and it looks like a pleasant and easy watch. Like Good Job’s echoes of Bossam, there was a small echo of the Red Sleeve Cuff, with Jang Hye-Jin, who played Court Lady Seo in RSC, showing up in Law Cafe. Whether she will play any kind of pivotal role has yet to be determined. She may just be just another ajumma actress in Korea.
• You all have convinced me to start Little Women. I am a big fan of KGE so it’s an easy choice for me.
Otherwise, I don’t think I can start any other new shows right now. I’ve been rewatching old favorites recently. I don’t know if this is due to nostalgia or because I’ve been in a k-drama rut. Right now I’m rewatching Goblin as I exercise. [Since I can only do cardio for 30 minutes at a time, it’s also easier to stop something in the middle that I’m already familiar with.]
I’ve dropped lots of shows lately and I’m not sure I’ll pick them up again. These include: My Girl (really wanted to watch an early Hong Sisters drama, but LDW’s acting is just too painful to watch); Today’s Webtoon (too stressful for me and not enough fun); Cafe M. (I found it bewildering); Alchemy of Souls (might wait for the next season to start it). Oh and I dropped Sandman, which I tried to watch with my hubby. Once they showed people chopping off their fingers and burning themselves I was out!
@BethB,
I remember your comment about watching Sandman. I was about to ask you if you were sure you wanted to watch it since it was written by Neil Gaiman. He isn’t a — how do I say this? — very optimistic sort of person, is he?
“My Girl” — I tried to finish that, too, but it was the actress, Lee Da Hae, who turned me off, not Lee Dong Wook. For one, she keeps changing her face with plastic surgery. For another, I remember reading that she derided the English accent of a certain English-speaking country in Asia. I was left with the impression that she was a try-hard and racist. No matter what I did, I couldn’t muster the enthusiasm to finish the kdrama.
@PM3 Thanks for the thread!!! I havent been able to post but following the rewatch thread =)
Here are my updates and recs:
Law Cafe – Watched the first 2 episodes and thought it was a light romcom. Does have a mystery to keep you in your toes but overall I like both ML and FL. They worked together in Korean Odyssey. I am so attached to that drama so it was hard for me to see them in different roles together at first. They are both good though.
Little Women – While this one is more a drama for me, I’m actually surprised that I like it so much. I tend to go for just straight rom coms or romance. I do not see any similarity to the book, but I easily forget my plots so dont take my word for it. I’m very interested in the mystery and drama. So far so good.
Good Job – I really want to like this one, but I seemed to have dropped this by the 3rd episode. I really like the leads but I’ve been watching after bedtime and I get tired easily and this one has not been keeping me awake. It could also be that I’m just tired. lol
LBFD – waiting to Friday to start it on Netflix. I’ll join rewatch =)
Love in Contract – interested in watching this. Hopefully it’s a funny one since the concept seems wacky.
I am late to the Love Between Fairy and Devil show! Netflix will have it this Friday 09/09! Thus…. I will watch the show in Sept!
Kalimera from here as well!
I do hope you are okay Ladies!
Wow. I have not commented on anything in forever! This seems like a good place to start.
@GB. I tried the first episode (and a half?) of Liars Game. I get annoyed with the high=pitched ‘mushi-mushi’ voice of the now-typical female actress in Japanese – I suppose you would call them rom-com’s if the female character’s had any agency. No women in Japan I met when I was there EVER spoke in that voice except when answering the phone and then only that that first ‘Hello’ — well maybe a little longer, it was too long ago now. I was getting too many of those vibes so I stopped. I would try again if you all start watching it, but will not pre-watch it.
I also have not been able to get into Love Between Fairy and the Devil for basically the same reason. Does Fairy do anything besides flit around and simper? I only watched the first episode of that as well so if she gets more backbone I can try again.
My new fav which I watched and then promptly started re-watching is Miss Trust. If you liked Maiden Holmes you might like this one. Lovely main lead(S) — yes plural– I usually can pick out which of a 3-some was going to be the main squeeze within the first episode, but I was completely unsure in this one until over half way through. One is simply gorgeous but seems to have no acting chops (signs of distress are pointed camera angles at his fist clenching), but the other has an incredibly mobile face. The main female lead is a trained coroner who like the Miss Holmes character is very good at noticing small details. She was forced into this position by her admittedly evil step-mother, but like the title suggests focuses on the truth, even at great cost to herself.
The other ones I have been watching are Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol because of Lee Jae Wook, whom I had not seen in a kdrama before Alchemy of Souls (and I am totally crushing on him here), and If You Wish Upon Me, which has an arc more characteristic of US shows where there is overall character development but each episode has it’s own story. The characters are compelling and the change the main lead undergoes, played by Ji Chang Wok — who is really sweet in this role– is delightful (so far). This is one of those shows that seems dark due to the subject matter (hospice, dying) but the darkness is leavened by the relationships and caring displayed by the actors (and, having been through this, they get hospice right).
I also started My Dinner Mate, having finally found it on a service i can get access to and just finished both the movie version and the k-drama version of Beauty Inside, neither of which I had seen, and both of which I enjoyed (with the willing suspension of disbelief, of course). I also have a Chinese drama I am dipping into occasionally, A River Runs Through It, because I liked the main actor’s mischievousness (Wang Rui Chang); so far it is light and I like it. He is a Harrison Ford kind of actor – plays himself (or at least the same person each time), but you still want to watch. I had previously seen him in the 2019 Chinese drama, Fall in Love, which had an nice strong, I-take-no-nonsense-and-do-not-get-mad-about-it female lead. I did not like that they had the same title as the excellent novella by Norman MacClean (and the movie by the same name starring Brad Pitt), but what can you do.
This was, by the way, part of the reason I had not started Little Woman, since it was a beloved book from my childhood, but based on comments above, maybe I will give it a try.
Hi @salteddust, I meant to reply to you earlier but lost your post!!! Now I’ve found it…
Liar Game – the female lead actually improves and makes decisions to suit her principles regardless of what the male lead thinks. She goes against the grain, in the face of the group… which is a very brave thing in a culture where toeing the line is the norm. Yes you can watch it first time instead of a rewatch. I think we can sort of avoid spoilers. The games and psychological game is quite intriguing.
Whether you’re good at maths and strategy or not, the puzzles are good brain teasers. I, myself am hopeless at figuring mathematical things out so I am in awe of the writer who came up with the strategies.
Love Between Fairy and the Devil – The female lead had to establish her character as being kinda humble, foolish, weak … but this actually hid the opposite. She will have a lot of agency, even in the face of ‘being controlled’ and she does not keep up with the girly voice for long.
I am still enjoying a rewatch of this show for the squee moments of the romance, the cool CG, the stylish choreography of some fight scenes, the coherent plot and characters and the uplifting message(s). This will go down as one Xianxia drama that deserves attention and accolades.
🙂
Hi @GB! Thanks for responding. I will try Liar’s Game. I will be gone during part of it as I am retiring (early) and going on a 3-4 week road trip. But I will comment where I can. I am good at math (my area), but absolutely terrible at strategy and games, so we will see. Most of my colleagues are good at games, of course. I will try a couple more episodes of Love Between Fairy and the Devil; I do like well choreographed fight scenes.
Hi @salteddust, certainly, come and go as you need. We have yet to get more responses from those who once voted for Liar Game. We might preferably get a bigger group like 3 or more persons before we start, and I’d really like @WEnchanteur to be part of the party, since he mentioned that he liked this show.
As for Love Between Fairy and Devil, there are not many fight scenes, just the hero able to take out loads of others. There are 2 or 3 where individuals fight, (although they draw swords, they hardly clash swords LOL) with loads of magic. They looked pretty. It’s Xianxia which is more fantasy and not Wuxia which would include more fighting, I believe.
See if you can make it to Episode 10. I think most of us were hooked long before then, but by Ep 10, you’d have seen enough magic and fights and new scenery plus the main couple’s interactions to know if you can stomach the rest. 🙂
Just finished LBFD. Started last saturday morning and just finished today. Bit lightheaded due to lack of sleep but it’s all worth it. This is the First CDrama that I liked. Not a fan of the CGs but the storyline is soooo goood!! Excited for the extra episodes.
I watched an adaptation of Jane Austin’s “Persuasion” on Netflix. Hmmm. For me, the scenery and the side actors all outshone the leads. I don’t know why the director bothered to set it in Regency rather than current times. The vocabulary and mannerisms didn’t match, imo. The vain father might just as well have been searching his Wikipedia page for updates. One character states, “I’m an empath.” Really?
Welcome to the blog, @HodinkY.
I think vertigo, lightheadedness, dizziness, and giddiness are all symptoms of an LBFD obsession. 😂 You’re not alone.
@HodibkY join us for the rewatches!!
I’m still stuck at LBFD..I can’t move on! And I have many rewatches to do so can’t start any new ones.
Although…I also want to watch the following:
Little Woman
Law Cafe
Once upon a small town
Love Contract
But I will give them up to JOMO until I’m done with LBFD.
Am watching Good Job because I’m watching with hubby so I’m unlikely to drop that.
Hi @HodinkY, what an interesting handle you have! I like that it ends with a capital ‘Y’.
Ah yes, LBFD seems to have that kind of effect on some viewers. Giddiness is the main symptom I notice.
Yes, I second @grace. If you can, come on to the rewatch threads and join us for our rewatches. We’ll be going to rewatch Episodes 13 and 14 on Friday and will be posting our comments here:
https://bitchesoverdramas.com/2022/09/11/love-between-fairy-devil-eps-13-to-18-rewatch-open-thread/
Just pick an option and let me know on that thread. 🙂
@grace, we’re both stuck in the QC Quicksand, and don’t want to be extricated LOL except if it’s DFQC who comes to save us!!!
Same here about all those other shows I’m supposed to continue watching, start watching, complete … etc. They have fallen by the wayside and I am perfectly joyful heheheh! as I JOMO with only LBFD on my plate.
Ah the joy of Rewatches!! 😅 😂 😎
@pm3 @GB @grace 😂😂😂😂 yes!
Welcome @HodinkY!
I am still doing rewatch of LBFaD. May me after that I’ll try something else.
I still have Being A Hero and Big Mouth on my watchlist but didn’t go very far.
Hi Everyone, @salteddust, @Cleo, @Juriel,
This is the second call asking if you are interested in starting the Liar Game Watch/Rewatch Party. @WE and I are still ok to do the Rewatch.
I’m proposing starting on Saturday October 8th, at 14:00 UTC (same hour as the ‘W’ Rewatch). It will be fixed for Saturdays only.
Please leave a peep here so that we know who’s going to join in! 🙂
Kalispera Unnie,
I haven’t started yet the Liar Game. If I manage to watch the first 3 episodes by then, yes I will join you!
Hi @Cleo, fortunately the Liar Game episodes are short. 😁
Unnie,
Good to hear! 😊
I wish I had 30 hours to the day, so that I can just catch up on the currently airing shows, plus the ones from before that sound good. I posted this link in the Shallow Island Thread as well, since it mentions Dylan Wang Hedi.
This is AvenueX’s favourable review of the contemporary drama with Dylan in it and it sounds like it’s worth a look-see.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HYgkCAhoPI
It’s hard to both JOMO and catch more shows, but I’ll try!!!
@GB this review is really good! Funny thing is I’d already seen the trailer, found it interesting story-wise and bookmarked it.
I’d be up for watching this next after my rewatch of LBFD. (Or in between potentially if you’re starting it earlier?)
@MrsRJH1, what fun if we want to do a simultaneous watch of the drama. Timing wise it’s whether we can synchronise our times and our schedules. I guess we can only manage it after we’ve finished the LBFD rewatch.
I guess my nights are your mornings and you may have to work. What are the relatively ok times for you? You’re in EST time? 12 hours behind my time?
@GB,@MrsRJH1, I watched the Rational Life back to back with LBFaD back then. It is an easy watch.
There are good things we can talk about/discuss of the Rational Life. In the past I used to reject Noona romance stories, but on reflection, I know people who were in Noona romance in real life. This story gives us a taste of HOW do they fall in love. When the woman is more successful, when some parents may not see a younger man as the ideal type for theur daughter. At the end, what is true love? What is acting on impulse without thinking about the consequences? I think I wrote my thoughts on the DFQC appreciation thread.😊
There were 2 extras that aren’t listed on the Netflix site. I am yet to watch those 2 extras.
Hi @GB, I am good to do the first watch of ‘Liars Game’. Time works well for me too. After that I will miss a few as I hope to go on vacation. Have not been reading the postings the last few days. Sorry for the gap.
Tentative Date and Time for the Liar Game Rewatch Party – October 8th, 2022, at 14:00 UTC
@salteddust Thanks for letting us know and noted.
@Juriel, you once voted to watch Liar Game, I hope you see this and can let us know if you’re still interested.
@Cleo, let us know if you manage to do a first rewatch of the first 3 episodes.
I’m proposing that we take a 2 week break in November and continue the rewatch into December. Information on this will be posted a little later. 🙂
Hello Ladies!
Have you see the trailer of Dylan Wang’s new drama? It is called “Forbidden Love”.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cem0yvCby-k
Thanks @Cleo, yes, I caught them before and couldn’t resist watching the trailers. Looks like another one with Dylan Wang being even more of an anti-hero than as DFQC. Will we be in a dilemma to root for the ‘grey’ ML regardless of how many people he kills? Presumably or hopefully, the romance part will still be swoony. 😉
Unnie,
It looks promising! I might give a try…It will be on Viki! 😅
I watched the first Episode of Esther Yu’s cdrama A Romance of the Little Forest.
Light and funny.
Simple premise and fun trope of ‘enemies to lovers’.
Esther is at her natural best. (The costumes are supposed to be clothes that she really owns.)
Vin Zhang Bin Bin looks great.
I’m not sure what other conflict the show has to offer, but I’m up for watching Esther’s character succeeding in making Vin’s character eat his words.
Kalimera Unnie!
Please don’t do that! I have to finish my bucket first and then start another! LOL
P.S. I also have to watch the first three episodes of “Liar Game” LMAO!
@GB so how was the Little Forest? I have been thinking about that but recently fatigue hits again so will wait a bit.
@Cleo I will certainly check out “Forbidden Love” when it comes out!
Watching the trailer, it looks like the ML would have committed a certain number of bad deeds. The FL has her reason to die too. So…I am not sure if it will end well or it is like the Red Sleeve that we watch it knowing the ending is lots of tears.
Since this is Dylan’s next drama after the popular LBFaD, it is likely to attract a lot of attention and possibly comparison. For example, I found myself noticing the eye make up seems lighter and the clothes are less extravagant. That won’t help me enjoy the story on its own merit so I think I will work hard to have a clean slate approach! I am sure I can adjust 🙂
@Viva, I only tried Ep 1 of Little Forest. I don’t mind watching more but am trying to pace myself.
I’ve been holding off on Forbidden Love, because DFQC is still the character I’ll ‘see’. If it had been a contemporary drama, it would be easier to make the transition. I know Dylan is in Rational Life, but I don’t think I should start Rational Life until I’m surer about my time.
Like you say, LBFD has spoilt us for other shows. We are bound to automatically compare, and feel a little short-changed. LOL. And yes, the ending may not be ‘happy’. Maybe I’ll wait until we know the ending. 🤔 😐 😉
Hello ladies!!! 😁😁😁😁 I hope everyone is in their pink of health 😘
I finally picked up some dramas… did a marathon of Adamas and stopped at ep 12… I kept losing focus…
Last night I started Love Contract and the interactions between FL and her gay housemate hooked me in more than her with the MLs. After ep. 2, I wanna know the history of her 5 yrs husband and herself. That one other guy is a nuisance. His acting is just that bad🤣🤣🤣🤣
I also started on May It Pleases The Court and I think I will continue on as I like the quirky lawyer pairings. I wish WOSJ has similar pairing. It would be awesome! Hesh… what a lost opportunity.
I am starting on One Dollar Lawyer tonight! It looks fun!😁😁
Take care!
@Packmule3 and BoD chingudeul, I’ve been away for awhile and have missed you all. While gone from this site, I spent two weeks visiting my younger daughter in Seattle. I fell behind on my drama watching. Since returning home I’ve finished Today’s Webtoon and caught up on If You Wish upon Me; Good Job; and Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist. I also started Love in Contract, which surprised me by being more nuanced and unpredictable than I expected. Based on the first two episodes, I think Love in Contract will be highly entertaining.
I haven’t forgotten about Little Women, but I’m saving it for later. I’m going to be traveling overseas in October, and since I can download on Netflix but not Viki, I’ll wait to watch LW offline while on the plane.
Kalimera Everyone!
I do hope you are okay! I have to do a shout out on “The Law Cafe”!
I have watched all 8 episodes of the show and I can say that:
It is a beautiful story and Lee Se Young is the bomb! She owns Kim YuRi totally!
Lee Seung Gi is amazing too. I really like their chemistry and shenanigans!
Give it a try!
Hi @pkml3,
I guess it’s not too early to mention what we’ll be watching in October 2022.
But before that… please open a Love Between Fairy and Devil Rewatch Thread for Eps 31-36. We are on the final stretch!!!

I started on the cdrama, A Romance of Little Forest, to see what else Esther Yu is up to and because Vin Zhang Bin Bin does look so good. It’s a slow moving romance (or 2 romances actually). The usual cold, unfriendly male and the female who’s out to get him (it starts off as revenge). They end up pretending to be a couple, and for this we have to thank the controlling, infuriating, interfering, competitive mother of the FL, who cannot bear to be thought of as less than ‘great’ by her neighbours.
The 2nd ML and FL romance gets rather tiresome because of a foolish lie that backfires on the 2nd ML repeatedly.
What struck me most were the clothes that Esther wore. They were pretty enough but seemed so impractical. She is constantly dressed in full-length skirts (is it the in-thing nowadays?) and is well accessorised, and seems to favour open, straight cut necklines most of the time. Some of her ‘daily’ wear hardly looked comfortable. However I did like the scenes when she was totally un-made up and looking like a frump in real home wear. (Oh yes, hundreds of the sets of clothes were supposed to belong to Esther herself.)
On the whole I might recommend only binge-watching it at FFD speed, slowing only for the couple scenes. I think the swoony parts will come only in the late 2nd half at the rate we’re going. 😉
I lost my note on what other shows I thought I might try, other than Rational Life for Dylan Wang.
And of course the Liar Game Rewatch starts on 8 October. 🙂
Ok, @GB, will open a thread for Fairy and Devil when I get home tonight. Do you have the time? Is it the same?
@pkml3, we can’t do the same times as this weekend, because we also have the Liar Game rewatch starting on Saturday 8th Oct.
