Because I’m a bitch, I’m going to say what people secretly think but dare not say about this new guy, Jonathan.
He looks undistinguished. His hair is grungy (doesn’t he have a hair stylist/coordi?); he has this samchoon aura instead of oppa; he wears fuddy-duddy clothes; he looks light-weight; he isn’t tall and muscular; he’s scrawny; and he would keel over with a jab to his solar plexus.
The only thing going for him is his English. I guess for some people, casually dropping an English expression or bursting into spate of English sentences is a sign of his class and erudition. But to me, this mannerism is pretentious. After a while, I find it annoying as heck. It’s similar to name-dropping to impress people.

I’m not impressed.
But the Hong sisters must have found something “special” in this actor, Michael Lee, so I’ll wait and see how this actor will make his character more formidable. He needs to make his character a worthy rival to Lee Seunggi’s OhGong.
I have to remind myself that the sisters have such a good eye for second male leads before, like these:
Kim Sung-Oh from Warm and Cozy (yup! he’s a favorite of the Hong Sisters. His appeal is comedy.)
Seo In Guk from the Master’s Sun
No Min Woo from My Girlfriend is a Gumiho
Jung Yong-Hwa from You’re Beautiful
and Uhm Tae-Woong from Sassy Girl Chunyang.
So, I’m not giving up on this actor Michael Lee … although, yeahh... I was hoping for Philip Lee.
