Who watches previews?

Why on earth would people be foolish enough to watch previews and then get riled up about them? A preview is a PREview. Couldn’t they wait till AFTER the episode was televised to see if they have reasons to be truly aggravated?

It’s like that infernal trick question, “Honey? Do I look good in these skinny jeans?”  (snort) There’s a reason they aren’t called fatty jeans. If you need to ask if you look good in them, then I’m sorry, Honeybuns, you don’t. Stop fooling yourself.

Apparently in today’s preview of The Great Seducer, SJ is going to kiss SeJoo and after the kiss, she tells him, “Just like you, this kiss means nothing.”

Fangirls are on a witch-hunt. According to their logic, their heretofore much-admired, kick-ass, “I-love-her-because-she’s-multi-layered” heroine is fooling around with their much-beloved “I-feeeellll-for-sorry-for-him” PETA-sponsored puppy so she deserved to die.

When push comes to shove, wounded male beats multi-layered female, after all. 😂

Forget feminism. Forget layers.  Sejoo >> SooJi

But can I say this? Let the two evil people duke it out.  It’s (transparent) evil against (latent) evil.

Viewers must stop fooling themselves. It’s about time to wisen up that SJoo isn’t all that he appears to be.

Our poster Tamara had commented, “I was already suspicious when they showed their individual teasers and and you saw him sitting in the chair wearing black and white while holding that mask. Uh uh you know to be on guard with him after seeing that lol”

I haven’t seen these teasers so she kindly sent me the links. I’m posting all four of them here for others to see. Thanks, Tamara!

First, SeJoo’s teaser. 

It’s interesting that SeJoo’s prop is a mask. It ties in with what I wrote earlier than SJ isn’t who we think he is. I said to be wary of him. The mask is a symbol of concealment and his pose isn’t at all that of a weak pitiful chap. On the contrary, the way he sits on that leather chair shows a badass character. He exudes arrogance with his raised chin, and downward-gazing eyes. He sits in darkness because he thrives and operates in darkness.

Next Sooji. 

As for Sooji, she looks sultry. Eyes closed, long neck exposed, one hand touching her ear. Try copying her pose; rubbing your ears with your eyes closed is actually relaxing. The mottled background is … I don’t know. I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean. But there’s something about the background when combined with her dress and sinuous pose that reminds me of a snake.

ShiHyun has the airplane background.

This is what his mom said about airplanes when she was folding her divorce papers. “I was just folding paper planes. I showed you how when you were young. When you’re worried, scared, or have a wish, fold a paper plane and throw it into the sky. Then your worries or fear will disappear, and your wish will come true.”

His face is half-covered by his hand and he sits backwards on a chair, using the back of the seat as an armrest and a shield. This pose is a common trope suggesting an edgy or cool dude who nonetheless seeks to hide his private insecurity behind a wall.

Then we have TaeHyun’s teaser. 

The word “teaser” here is a misnomer. There’s nothing subtle or ambiguous about this image.

She’s dressed in white, like a handmaiden, and her background is stars. (lol. Is this why they were supposed to go stargazing on a date?) She’s perched among the stars. To me, this signifies that she’s as unreachable as the stars to somebody like SH.

Also, she’s the one HE’s been waiting for. He had folded all his worries, fears, and wishes in a paper airplane and thrown the plane. But it landed at her feet as if to say that “Et viola! Here’s your wish come true.”

He’d be a hundredfold fool not to wrap himself around her. 

But since everybody behaving foolish today, being April 1st, I wouldn’t be surprised if he loses her in the end because of his tomfoolery.
