- He can enter the military and be gone for 2 years.
- He can take up poetry on his spare time and even open his cafe shop cum bookstore in the lobby of one of his father’s hospital.
- They can see each other 5 years later when she’s tired of the Ahjussi.
- He can tell her why he thought she was just pretending all that time in college.
- He can get over being made a FOOL of.
- “Justice for JH” will become a #himtoo movement.
- Packmule3 can now move on to a new romcom.

There is something wrong about writers making the female lead be the “healer” in a relationship. Like this one.

I wish writers would stop ingraining our young girls that THAT is what they’re supposed to do in a relationship – especially in this time and age. Kiss the guy and he’ll turn from frog into prince.

Tonight episode is totally nerve-wrecking. I’m still rooting for minho x boyoung till the end of drama. I’m still wondering who does the writer-nim refer to based on the title of the drama which is ‘to you who forget poetry’. Somehow it does make a pretty sense if it is minho just like what you said on your other article.
I don’t know who the writer was referring to in “You Who Forgot Poetry” because it ain’t that Ye.
I guess, if somebody from the YeLiner asked me nicely, I COULD think about it and write one up. But not today, and not next week, and the week after.
When it comes to being “awoke” (sorry that’s a teen slang), it’s MinHo who remembered poetry. Not Ye. And don’t tell me about seeing the beauty of life and carrying on with his life,, because he didn’t either do those UNTIL his colleague told him “FIND his spiritual whatever” that HE could learn to love. That to me was SETTLING DOWN. He was settling down for somebody who’s not HIS love of his life, but somebody who was SINCERE and whom he could live with tolerably well.

I told you, I was leaning towards the actor who played Ye.
I was underwhelmed by the MinHo actor. I wouldn’t be able to pick him out in a police lineup because he looked THAT ordinary to me.
However, the character was more sympathetic than Dr. Ye.
We’re all fracking mad.
But we still have four more sheer hell of this. That’s two things we don’t know now.
Why he ditched her in college, And when would BoYoung know that he loved her all along.
So, MH didn’t even confess? What the?
Could plz someone explain me the logic as I don’t understand why exactly he had to lose.
Ye rejected and hurt her as well. Okay, he didn’t tease her – plus points. He didn’t get petty jealous which…personally is minus points to me (and in other k-dramas).

When is MinHo going back to his father’s hospital? When is his internship over. I want him to leave asap before he digs himself a hole.

Put in this way. How many lovey-dovey tropes can the director and writer pack in the last remaining 4 hours? They’ve already done the cotton candy, the spring walk, the confession, whatever.
MinHo is still in there with the unanswered questions: what really happened back in college, and does Boyoung really love Dr. Ye?
What’s worse than a motorcycle accident is to bring MinHo back into the mix and continue on his un-confessed love, ONLY to have him metaphorically “killed” for the second/third? time.
Something has to give.
So, either MinHo leaves for good now (that’s why I keep on asking when is his internship up) or the writer and director have something BETTER for him up their sleeves. The story still has to keep on going. We have four more episodes.
So right now, yes, it’s okay to be mad, But the course will still revert for MinHo. 😉

The Best Hit is seriously traumatizing. I finished the drama thinking WHY?!!!! No matter how you spin it, you’re romancing your kid’s first love. I thought he would go back to his own time.
I wouldn’t be surprised anymore if they decided to make MH confess then he’ll go JUST KIDDING. HA! MH got friendzoned. He deserved better. Maybe they’ll bring back BY’s doppleganger. That’s just boinkers.
It’s episode 12. It’s a 16 episode kdrama. How will they fill in the next four? Saccharine love tropes? Admit or not, Ye is grossing out HALF of the viewers with his antics because he is NOT that kind of guy (and actor) who’ll do sweet stuff.

The sweetness is part and parcel of MinHo’s appeal. So call me crazy but I don’t buy this.

Yes, the Best Hit was creepy. And I like Yoon ShiYoon but that MinJae kid is just MORE charismatic. I don’t know what it is about him (his eyes?) but he does “BROODING” well. I watched him in The Great Seducer, and I totally understand why fangirls fell for him. I would have, too – if I didn’t know about the book, the characters, and WHAT to look out for.
First, I was just telling maisquared that the motorcycle accident was a COP OUT. It’s as if the writer is deliberately separating BoYoung and MinHo FOR NOW by throwing an OBSTRUCTION in their path. MinHo still has to confess, no?
When MinHo comes back into the mix and continue his courtship (which he doesn’t know is already futile), she’ll be unsettled all over again.
Second, you and I know that the writer and director put so much thought into the creation AND DEVELOPMENT of MinHo’s character. They paid attention to the details, and set up the sagwa story, the grandmother/jacket incident, the beach and the fireworks, the book search, and everything else with careful attention. Nobody does that for a SECOND lead. They didn’t do as much for the primary male lead.
…unless the story is about the separate journeys of the female lead and the second male lead.
Third, from what I understand from those who viewed it already, there’s a deliberate action to get MinHo OUT of the way in today’s episode. Right? But why?
To me, they intended his return or his reappearance to have an impact on the story.
It’s being built up for tension, for the “Second Coming.”
But why bring him back if he’s going to be figuratively “killed off” again? He’s not a whack-a-mole character who gets whacked on the head with a mallet every time he shows up. MinHo is not at all a LOSER. As a matter of fact, every time he shows up, the script demonstrates his likable side and an unexplored depth. It doesn’t make sense, for a writer to lovingly create his/her character – only to abuse him with not one but two rejections.
Writers treat their favorite characters like they do their children. If they make them suffer, it’s because they think that the suffering is redemptive… not sadistic.
Right now, with the motorcycle accident and the missed confession opportunity, the writer is just coming off as mean and idiotic. There’s no rhyme nor reason for that kind of accident to take him out of contention AND to prolong his ignorance.
I highly suspect that the writer and director have something BETTER for him up their sleeves. The story still has to keep on going. We have four more episodes.

i watch the show. and even after watching the preview, i saw there is no minho in ep 13 preview. like he was gone and died (before this he was everywhere on preview) hahaha.. they serve lovey dovey scene by and ye on ep 13.. okay. im fine. jang dong yoon better leave the show right now. i feel like writer use minho character up until now and now they throw him away like he was nothing on next eps.
i dont think writer will make another change.. since by and ye kiss again on next eps.

I’m sorry but I can’t imagine how this writer can make BY look at MH again and “save her pure image”. Remember that in Korean dramas heroines have to always stay loyal & pure to their main love interest, that’s why second leads tend to force their kisses on them because heroines have to look like they have no desire whatsoever. It is not implied that they can just try kissing different guys to figure out better chemistry and etc. I only remember “Marriage not dating”‘s heroine that had no problems with kissing first and second leads…

Lespoir48, I also watched The best hit, all by myself though and I checked the comments on s**mpi and dramabeans, both the sites had major dad supporters lol. The story is totally creepy, they made the dad and son fall for the same girl. :/
PM3 yeah I think it would be best to assume that min ho was used just as a tool for Bo Young to finally be with the doctor. I can see now why gong myung opted out of this show. :/ Poor jang dong yoon.
I am totally opposing this relationship though. The way bo young is over the moon that Dr. Ye has ‘agreed’ to date her was so annoying. I’m sorry at the bo young supporters. But, you were right about the writer being a sexist. I can’t see them lasting for a lifetime. Or even if they do, bo young has totally lost her real self. The one who’s more relaxed and at ease around min ho.
