ugh I am too invested in this show now to quit haha Whether or not BY & MH end up together I just want closure for our characters and I hope no matter what the writer gives that to us. So far, I don’t see MH has weak for doing things like helping BY off the exercise machine and kind of fawning over her. For me it’s kinda relatable as I also somehow turn into a snake bride when I like someone (lol i didn’t even know there was a term for that), and I appreciate MHs sincerity. Right now I def feel trolled by the writer with all those scenes from the musical. I really thought MH and BY would go together and it would be good catching up time for them.

I’ve decided to think that the writer was made to change the hero because K-netizens prefer Ye because of actor’s looks. Episode 10 is the beach. Episode 11 is the bookstore and the race for the cure…errr… race for the girl.
No, I don’t think they switched leads because of the knetz. The same argument was said by JH’s fangirls in Reply 1988 and I said no. because the “clues” were already in place by beginning of the filming. The actors didn’t know but the writer and the director did. Park BoGum knew too — very early on — because he was handed the wrong script meant for the “older Taec” 🙂
They couldn’t change scripts because from the onset, the focus of the script and camera and the production team’s energy would be on the male lead. For instance, it’s harder to look for poems that would fit into the puzzle, the further you get into the plot. I said that in R88, a big chunk of location, time and manpower (baduk instruction for example) were devoted to baduk. If the baduk guy wasn’t the intended husband, then the production team just blew away their budget on a SIDE plot.
What the writer and director could do however is do a “slow” revelation (or “reveal”) and put out “red herrings.” 🙂
when relationship between by and ye already settle, writer put minho everywhere on preview now. i dont know what her real intention to use minho character and making him acting bad arround boyoung.he wasnt that jerk before lol. character supposed to be grow to be liked in the end of drama. writer trying hard to put minho as jerk in the end.

nowdays some writer trying hard to copy masterpieces writer reply series in their drama. like tkil now apad. lee woo jung still the best and trusted writer for this type drama, no one can copy her. she never give us false hope, she know what she is writing.
Okay, I have to reserve judgment until I’ve actually watched the show. 🙂
For me, it was the trolling cliffhanger in Episode 11, the motorcycle accident and the kiss Episode 12 then the continuous trolling about MinHo’s’ sad fate in Episode 13… that I found insufferable.
The writer and director are tone-deaf to the level of patience and forbearance their audience have for their nonstop, ridiculous trolling, and to me, it distracted from my appreciation of the story.
i havent watched ep 14 yet! just 13. i was kinda excited by the previews because it was looking like we’d be getting more emotion from dr ye haha. jealous dr ye seems better than robotic dr ye
i just flew home from nyc and feeling sick so perfect time for some oden and ep 14 i think!
i can’t get reply 88 here but haven’t tried to find it so maybe i will start watching that if it’s like a better version of this haha

I agree with all of you that BY’s character has become a downfall with her admiration/love for Dr Ye. I just don’t like her cheesy attitude with him because in real life admiration goes away at some point & you start seeing faults in your partner that you have to accept or let this person go…This one of the reasons I can’t accept this ship. Maybe this drama is not intending to show us Ye-BY problems & growth as a pair (as we only have 2 more episodes) but they will face it at some point and MAY realize there are really different people.
About MH. Well, this is such a mystery. He is really the first lead here even though he will probably stay alone. This show has been about him &a his emotions even more than about BY sometimes. Take ep 14 as an example. They show mostly him & his brooding/anger. What about him reciting poems? I think he has done it much more than any other male in this show & he’s supposed to be the character who hates poetry.
I am only upset that he didn’t confess & hit her by a car. That was too much from the writer. Hasn’t he/she already done enough for him? And they trolled us again about confession race at the beginning of the episode when BY asked home about it. It made me mad
To sum up, this show isn’t bad when it comes to characterization of side-characters & problems of patients or families with great poems that come by. I am just upset I got involved in love triangle & romance plot because i don’t get this writer’s idea at all about it

I haven’t viewed Ep 14. I have to be in an either jolly or apathetic mood to counteract drama I know to expect from Ep 14.
Otherwise I get sucked in emotionally instead of “rationally” (whatever that means, lol.)
I like what Oli said about MH’s RANTING reflects ours. If we could only voice out or rage against the unfairness of the writer, we would have. But we’ve been lectured over and over again that life is cruel and vicious in Episode 13, that when we see (or READ – in my case) a person like MH railing against the unfairness, I’m cheering him on. I prefer him going down fighting than wallowing in self-pity like NanWon. They were parodying actually the “what-could-have-been” MH’s reaction to the news.
And the funny thing about these fangirls is that they hate on MH for feeling USED, but they are acting as childish as MH himself. They’re throwing a temper tantrum, too, because they think it’s unfair of the writer to suddenly change direction and threaten the Romance of BY-Ye.
Too funny. I wish I could hold a mirror to them now. We felt upset too last week — and this week — but we didn’t (hopefully we didn’t) go wild and abuse everyone in the “free use” sites like soompi and the dramasites. Those sites should have been for everyone, both MH and YE supporters, but the mob rules. The majority ruled it over the minority.
An aside: I roll my eyes when I hear that some soompi mods and admins are acting inept and getting in over their heads AGAIN with these fanwars. They never do learn… those idiots. Their learning “curve” looks more like a cliff to me.
I have just finished ep14 and the car hit was with opening the doors (not driving over BY 😂)… and definitely unintentional. And I think if Dr.Ye hadn’t stood nearby, Minho would have run to BY and apologized…
Yes, Min Ho was a bit jerkish in the episode, but I couldn’t help but see it as him having tantrum and rolling on the ground 😂
And he was definitely hurt.
And in preview for 15 Min Ho said what we all think (I guess 🙂)… that BY is more herself with him than with dr.Ye… (that’s perhaps also why we lost connection with BY from early episodes, she is gone in her fantasy cloud 9…).
