They say laughter’s the best medicine so if anybody asks me today and tomorrow how I feel about APaD, this is my answer:
I’m outstanding.

Also, this:
hahaha.
Post your rants and spoilers here for Episode 15. Let’s just have fun with these last episodes. We really have nothing to lose so let’s just watch the Yeliners get all anxious about the show tomorrow night.
Altogether now and in a taunting voice, “Ooooh. Good luck with her!”
I’ve been at this page since it was publish, why aren’t there any comments? should i watch the ep or not?
My people, HELP ME!!!
since we are all waaay done with APAD, what’s the next drama everyone’s planning to watch?
I watched Wok of Love, seems interesting , though I still don’t knwo whats going on. the cast is a bunch of great actors so that’s why I am giving it a chance
Anyone watching suits? korean remake?
I watched the orginal – like three seasons – comparing it to the remake, it’s not bad but the guy who plays Harvey needs to put in some more aura and charm, and the romantic line is weird too, maybe cause they are trying to squeeze into 16 eps? i don’t know…
Right, so next dramas? I fell in love with this place, so I want too keep coming back …therefore I want to know what dramas/ writers/directors/actors are we tackling next…
I am also watching wok of love. Jang hyuk’s fans are questioning junho as lead. Anyway..whoever i am just for the fun of it. Both actors are good. Will you be watching it packmule. You’ll get hungry watching๐๐๐ hope you take a peek. It’s romcom.
As for apad..goodluck to both ye and by. They truly deserve each other. Minho can go back to his family and be the director of their hospital…while sipping tea๐
I just finished it. Go on ahead.
The beginning started with BY on the phone with Ye like a schoolgirl. MH admitted to NW that he found out that she was dating. He was going to apologize to her. (“Sagwa” was mentioned).
He had encounter with the guys were they were commiserating. Defcon told him he needed skinship to get over it. Hahahaha/sarcasm. The writer was being cruel here. MH seemed okay on the outside.
But the main poem today is about Mothers, and how we expect and demand courageous and selfless acts from them without even sparing them a thought. They give of themselves even when they hurt, tired, hungry, burdened, and we say, “It’s okay for Moms to do that.”
And then, we have a Ye scene and a MinHo scene. Ye realized that Boyoung has been keeping secret about her job insecurity from him so he went off to buy macaroons for her. Geez! This guy is always buying her things!! And he wrote a letter to apologize that he was “lacking.”
Now, MinHo’s scene – I THINK – is the one related to the Mother’s poem. Boyoung had an accident in the sauna and was trying to call Joo Yoon to borrow some clothes. But JY wasn’t picking up and her phone battery was on the blink when MinHo happened to call her up to apologize. She said “forget it,” she wasn’t going to forgive him — whe she suddenly realized hey! She needed his help. Could she borrow money from him….
The next thing we knew, he was entering the sauna with a bag of his clothes. She looked so pathetic with egg bits on her.
The last scene was the one in the preview. With MH asking her why she called on him and not Ye if she really liked Ye.
The preview doesn’t augur well. Based on this Ep 15 preview and the others, the previews show the ending scene as is. And Ep 16 preview shows Boyoung being comfortable with Ye and thanking MinHo for all he’s done.
So I’m assuming that’s the endgame. MinHo as a buddy.
I’m thinking of “Rich Man” which is a remake of Jdrama Rich Man, Poor Girl. I watched the original show and I wanted to see how it’s been updated.
But nearsea is recommending IU’s My Ahjussi. I still have to finish My Husband Oh Jak Do?? I like the premise of this show. I’m tired of these chaebol guys and genius freaks so I find the hero here – who’s a country bumpkin and a master craftsman in disguise – quite refreshing and intriguing.
Plus, as nearsea mentioned, the second lead is funny. He thinks of himself as this cultured and erudite person but he’s fallen in love with Oh Jak Do’s very crude and bossy harridan of a wife (UEE).
Whoops. I forgot to add why I thought the poem on Mothers is related to MinHo.
MinHo’s love for BY is like a mother’s selfless love that the children take for granted.
BoYoung’s mom requested her to pull some strings at the hospital and she blew up, saying that she had no special connections at the hospital (lol. She didn’t want to burden Ye, as usual). Later, she felt guilty and apologized.
But MH is like a mother too. Boyoung expects him to come to her bidding even after they had a ferocious fight. She thinks “It’s okay” if MinHo does all that for her – the beach, her venting on him, his time – because he’s HER FRIEND. But like in the poem, no! It’s not okay when moms (and MinHo) are taken for granted.
APAD is such a bipolar show. I rest my case. I love MH but for me, the show ended when he was hit by that motorcycle. I tried but I can’t find anything charming about Dr. Ye and I’m moving on. I hope JDY gets a leading man role soon.
I’m currently watching Something in the Rain, My husband Oh Jak Doo, and japanese drama Hana Nochi Hare (i love HNH so far, it gives off HYD feels without the bully Tsukasa)
I also started Rich Man Poor Woman and I’m trying to be open minded about it. I’mvtrying hard not to compare it with the original and I’m trying not to compare Suho with my Oguri Shun. It’s coz Shun has that ability to reach into his emotion without being over the top with his acting, and ep 2 when Suho was being angry with Bora, I kept imagining how Shun did it. So I’m gonna watch RMPW kdrama not as the remake of the japanese but as a completely different drama. I’ve only seen Suho in the UNIVERSE’S STAR and I love that series, I cried buckets but it was well written and the acting was pretty decent too.
I’ll try to check it out before my trip. I don’t intend to being my personal laptop as I won’t have time to watch the kdramas.
Hahaha. The couple drink of Boyoung and Ye is coffee. She didn’t drink much coffee before. It was Ye’s drink. Lol. She drank beer. ๐
I don’t know who Suho is and I’m unimpressed so far. Oguri Shun (is that the actor’s name?) was perfect for the role. I thought he was doing “method acting.” He added little quirks to the eccentric character that made the character memorable. Like walking barefeet, remember? And swiveling in his chair. Also, the stop-and-go conversation was distinctly his, because his mind was so hyper. And so was his body.
This Suho just comes off as a plain jerk while Oguri Shun looks like a Bill Gates high on drugs.
But I’m giving this Suho a try. Is he an idol??!! I’ll wait and see.
I’m glad I watched this ep though… It made me appreciate the role of mothers, I have to go home and thank my mom
On the other hand, goodness, our minho, I think Minho was supposed to be the end game when the made the abstract plot, but the fangirls got in the way and so it was moved to Dr Ye. I actually feel sorry for him, he is trying is best to be closer to boyoung, but there is this barrier in between them, maybe as the ep pointed out due to their different social standings? Him as the cheif and her as a contact worker. But both sides are trying to work it out. Minho is going to be the friend.
Yeliners might’ve won BoYoung but Minho got way more than he bargained for. He started to like his work, made more friends, developed deeper feelings and truly matured. I’d like to thank BoYoung for being part of his journey in discovering himself. and good luck with the job hunt.
I will watch the last ep firstly because, duh, minho , but also the other cast. I’ve grown fond of them. Each one has a distinct story and the characters although flawed are great. I’d probably skip the couple’s scenes..
TEAMMINHO!
Btw- does anyone use twitter? I’m @diverseskies55 – follow me, I need more kdrama addict mutuals to rant to…
Rich Man – Havent watched the original but the remake seems okay so far. Cause it has like a truckload of cliches it is a bit difficult to disgest, otherwise the show is fine. And i am watching cause of Suho///
yes, suho is an idol, leader of EXO.
will you be talking about it here packmule3?
Yes. Same here. If I were to pinpoint the time and space when APaD died for me, it was that Episode 12 motorcycle accident. That was a dumb move by the writers to HAND Ye the endgame. It was like a 180 degree turn in story direction. It was utterly contrived. It’s what I expected of incongruous “plot twist!”
I probably will talk about it here after I come back from my short trip overseas.
Suho is an Exo leader? Is he the guy who was the BF of a girl group singer? Taecyeon? Krystal? I don’t follow boy bands. I know Big Bang and 2AM, 2PM and Shinee. But I don’t know the others. There was this boy band group that was making its rounds here in the US last year. I think they’re the rival of EXO but I can’t remember their name.
If you haven’t watched the original jdrama, then you wouldn’t know the difference Suho and Shun Oguri. Oguri is a tough act to follow. He made the character real.
For instance, you remember that scene when Suho started distributing the pink slips or job termination? He rode a Segway, right? The Segway typically denotes how special leader is. He can ride a Segway in office bec he “can.” He’s too busy so he needs a mechanical and automatic form of transportation inside his office.
But with Suho, Segway just became a status symbol — when that isn’t at all how the original character was perceived. Oguri Shun wasn’t about status. He eschewed rules; he was a maverick. He was the creative force, the genius. His business partner was the one who was into financial/business aspect.
Pm3. I think you’re talking about BTS. I love their songs esp their japanese ones, Let go and Don’t Leave Me.
@CoffeeAndJelly
If you’re gonna watch Rich Man,I suggest finishing the kdrama first before the original.
In the jdrama, he really seems like a bad person by firing his staff like it’s a survival game, but it was justified in a way since they have no physical product, only their imaginations keep their company thriving and he fires those who do not contribute. But he really is the soul of the company as shown later in the series. In the kdrama, Suho comes off as a spoiled CEO instead of a genius one. I blame the director, really. But I think it’s a nice drama to waste time on while waiting for Why Secretary Kim this June.
I seldom had second male lead syndrome cause most kdrama portrayed a great chemistry between the leads although sometimes the male lead usually acted cocky self centred jerk.(but still we see the bond) unlike Ye and BY, i am not trying to choose any bias on ApAd but Ye really didn’t deserve BY (but i won’t be sad if the endgame were Yeliner cause BY was so blinded by YE’s love and there is no way she could understand MH selfless love, this is the sec drama that i watch writer “rooting” for infatuation kind of love after playful kiss. Its a sad sad sad love, where one side love another more.
but hey, Suit was ok too. On earlier episode Hyunsik may not be able to portray Mike Ross as well as the original but moving on to the 6 episode, he doing ok and I am lovingly the Harvey Specter’s copy. haha. Only the actor who act as Louis litt is kind of boring and failed to portray the annoying Louis character but roughly it was good adaptation.
Been trying to watch Rich man poor Girl but I am not so confident with Suho imitating Oguri shun, gonna read reviews first before starting on it. ๐
p/s: my mister was great n will be waiting for APAD final episode review bfore continues watching it again where i left at epsd 10.
@packmule3
Oh, the one who was dating was Beckyun – dating taeyeon (shes the leader) from SNSD.
kpop addict here !
Have a listen to EXO’s songs, they are honestly the best. They’ve got a wide range so chose whatver you’d like.
The ones famous in the US is BTS. they have a bunch of good songs too
My ahghussi! I love love love this show. IU has grown as actress and the story line is so unique and fulfilling. It’s like having a a warm bowl of noodle soup after a long , cold day.
@Sansukini
Yeah. I’m going to stick to the remake for now. Maybe i’ll watch two more eps and then decide to drop it. There are more good dramas coming out soon – so I cant wait for that.
@SyeraAisya
I was hoping for more awesome Donna. The korean actress is fine, she looks like she can kill the role but her lack of screen time is annoying me. But I enjoy the show as a whole. Can’t wait for more
Looking at preview of next episode, Ye starting to find a way to make BY comfortable with him (as opposed to MH statement “if you can’t be comfortable with him, then I’ll never let you go) ๐ and he started to “compromise” and change his attitude while interacting with another person trying to copy BY. I am pretty sure Yeliners would count this as romantic gestures trying to accommodate to your love one but didn’t they know that relationship that requires people to change attitude isn’t healthy? true is people never change. If this isn’t fairly tale love i don’t know what it is ๐ _facepalm_
@CoffeeAndJelly
Even if you decide to drop the RMPW k-remake, please still watch the original one. I highly recommend it. I’m a kpop fan too, currently loving BTS and Twice,but a long time fan of the original TVXQ and Bigbang.
SyeraAisya, and for the crappy writer to feature Ye’s change of personality in the LAST episode of the kdrama?!
Why didn’t the writer do this it in Episodes 12, 13, and 14? Was the writer expecting a show extension with a <1% rating per episode? ๐
Instead of showing us that cotton candy oral fixation of Boyoung in Ep 8 or that whole Episode 14 devoted to painting MinHo as a jerk or that Ep 10 of MinHo being a fool for BY at the beach, why is this writer changing Ye at the last minute? He should have known that if he was such a genius with his patients, that EMPATHY was needed in his line of work.
Pathetic writing. Too little, too late.
Just to give fake Boyoung a fake romance.
Yes, watch the original one Rich Man, Poor Woman.
I’m not really a kpop fan but I do support the shows by buying their OSTs on iTunes. I haven’t bought any for APaD and I won’t now.
-wait! I just checked. I have a TVXQ. “Why did I fall in love with you.”
A couple of songs by JaeJoong. One is from Sungkyunkwan Scandal and the other one from Protect my Boss.
I also have Big Bang. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ I forgot about this. I bought their “Made” album from ITunes.
@SyeraAisya
The thing is, one episode is not enough to cement the relationship in a good way. It’s so ironic that MH has to be the bridge for the Yeliner ship to sail. He was the catalyst that pushed Dr. Ye to confess, and now, he’s gonna become the love doctor to teach BY how relationship works although she might take it the wrong way by trying to change for YJW instead of showing her true self to him so they can both accept each other’s personalities and habits. They said that the relationship has only just started that’s why you don’t normally show the bad sruff this early, but I think they’re way past the courting stage. So don’t pick your nose infront of your man, but please call your boyfriend when you need help even if it’s embarassing instead of relying on your male friend just so you can maintain an image.๐ง๐ฆ
Ah yes! The BTS! The Korean barbecue restaurant I go to, played their music and music video. I didn’t think it was particularly unique or distinctive from the rest of the kpop bands. I don’t get the hype.
I’ll have to give My Ahjussi a try. I want something light-hearted though to wash off the shit from APaD.
Right?
Ye only proposed after he saw MH post a new avatar of their beach night. His colleague had told him to “grab” the sincere woman and that’s what he did. Grabbed BY before MH did…
Lol. Who knew that MH would turn out to be the fairy godmother of BoYoung’s love fantasy?
And yeah. Calling MinHo instead of Ye at the hour of her most pressing need and her most embarrassing situation? What’s up with that, writer?!
Oh was it Dr. Ye who will try to change? It really makes no sense why the writer spent all those time of MH’s character development when he’s the second lead who will not get the girl, instead of developing BY-YE’s romantic relationship. It’s like MH getting hit by the motorcycle, unexpected and so hard to accept.
@pm3 I recently saw a 4 part drama special titled, YOU DRIVE ME CRAZY. It’s not getting much attention but it’s really good. It’s about 2 friends who slept together and how they tried to act like nothing’s changed. It’s a simple story with no makjang and the ost is really easy to the ears.
Girls no, I suggest watching the jdrama first. Like PM3 says the jdrama is awesome and shun oguri was mindblowing as the arrogant workoholic boss.
—
If you havenโt watched the original jdrama, then you wouldnโt know the difference Suho and Shun Oguri. Oguri is a tough act to follow. He made the character real.

I dig this, so much. I have fangirled over shun oguri a bit haha after watching rich man poor woman. Sadly he doesn’t do much romcom, and you know how stingy jdramas are with their romantic relationships. But this guy is just awesome. Also the japanese version was more about shun’s character and how he actually ‘is’ dedicated in making the company work. Like the way the working environment and the factors involved in establishing a successful company, they focused on that part in a very convincing way. So this is a proper office drama unlike the Korean ones, where the office atmosphere is just used as a backdrop.
I was so mad that they chose an idol to play shun oguri’s character. He looks completely green. While shun’s experience is quite prominent on his face. He makes his role work.
Although I have seen suho on a happy together episode and I think he has a more good presence in reality shows? The way they teased him through out the whole episode, it was hilarious lol. And after watching that I guess it will be harder for me to picture him in shun oguri’s role. :/
* The working environment and the factors involved in establishing a successful company, they focused on that part in a very convincing way.
Where can I watch this “You Drive Me Crazy”? I would like to see how two friends can pretend NOT to be sexually intimate with each other. ๐
Ahhh. So Shun Oguri is your type, eh? pwahahahaha.
I found his character’s brains attractive. yes. But no I didn’t find his character attractive physically. He looked like the type who would reek of pungent body odor because he’d forgetten to shower and take care of hygiene while he was busy creating a new software. Yuck. Yuck.
Plus, I remember one scene where he slept on the floor of his office, right? Right? Ewww… I’ve very OCD when it comes to beds, bed clothes and dirty bodies.
Shun Oguri really nailed that role. Didn’t he win an award for that? I think he should have.
I don’t know anything about SuHo (like I didn’t know anything about the actors portraying Ye and MinHo) so I don’t have much expectations from him. My only yardstick is Shun Oguri and he IS a tough act to follow.
I’m highlighting your comment here:
Oh was it Dr. Ye who will try to change? It really makes no sense why the writer spent all those time of MHโs character development when heโs the second lead who will not get the girl, instead of developing BY-YEโs romantic relationship. Itโs like MH getting hit by the motorcycle, unexpected and so hard to accept.
I should have stopped trying to make sense of this nonsensical writer from that time the motorcycle hit MinHo. Why are many kdrama writers like this? They start off pretty strong then they juggle too many plot twists and trick, only to end up failing at everything. It’s frustrating.
I guess that’s why Hollywood movies are still a hit. I watched Black Panther a few nights ago, and although it’s a tried-and-true plot, it left people satisfied because there’s a proper resolution. There’s no sadistic trolling from the writers and directors.
@Nearsea OMG Shun. I’m obsessed with him since HanaKimi. He’s not the cutest j-actor, but he is the best. Have you seen his movie Museum? It was savaged. There was a scene there that was really horrifying and it has been a long time since I got nervous because of a movie, it was not the gore, but the psychological insinuations of the movie and Shun’s acting that got me. I’m so glad to find a fellow fan here.
@pm3
I watched YOU DRIVE ME CRAZY at kissasian. I think you’d like it. The writer used some symbolisms there too, but unlike APAD, they made sense. For example, the female lead’s expensive shoes got stuck in the cement when she was drunk, which perfectly describes the male lead’s situation (which I will not spoil too much for you). I’m not familiar with the actors there except for the male lead was the second lead in Strongest Delivery Man, and the second lead is an Idol (who acts quite well enough in the Liar and his Lover Remake).
—–
I should have stopped trying to make sense of this nonsensical writer from that time the motorcycle hit MinHo.
—–
Truth be told, you made more sense than the writer. It was very delightful to read the dissections of the poems because it wa logical on your part. It was the writer who stopped making sense after a time.
Okay, I’ll check it out later. I’ve to go to my office now and save the world. Fighting! ๐
Next watch list: I think I am going to watch My Ajhussi and Suits next. Pretty Noona that buys me food, maybe? Does anyone watch any interesting chinese or taiwanese dramas? Iโll have to watch You drive me crazy too.
Kpop: I really like BTS, Got7, Eric Nam ( not a boy band though ha), and Big bang. I got an apple music subscription and it saved me tons of money p3! unlimited ost listening! haha
@EVERYONE
where do i watch the j-version of Rich Man. I prepared to spoil myself silly!
You should listen to iKON’s songs too! their recent song – LOVE SCENARIO is a mega hit in korea. All their songs are wonderful.
You drive me crazy is so good. the writing, directing is perfect, the characters have so much chemistry. It’ so cute!
apad’s writer should choke herself to death. Why would she wrote something misleading about MH and “killed” his character. I bet she too in love with “so called perfect” man but she can’t have it in real life., so she created virtual one ๐
if you want light hearted kdrama then mymister is not for you, (although the script was nothing about finding husband quest as rply88) but it’s was dark dark drama.. brought dark genre as Mothers (jdrama remake too) .
currently addicted to Hana Nochi Hare and its so much good because i could see cameo from hana yori dango (Boys over flower Japanese version) -there is Oguri Shun too. I am so in love with him since Gokusen Era. Rich man poor women portrayed him too, Suho probably chosen because He is in EXO.,knetz love idol, its help with the ratings.
next drama would be JangEum and Handsome (Jangeum always pick the right script-i hope this one went well too).
‘Ahhh. So Shun Oguri is your type, eh? pwahahahaha.
I found his characterโs brains attractive. yes. But no I didnโt find his character attractive physically. He looked like the type who would reek of pungent body odor because heโd forgetten to shower and take care of hygiene while he was busy creating a new software. Yuck. Yuck.
______
๐๐๐๐
Haha, at least he’s way ahead than ye in the visual department haha, right? Lol. But I think I also fell for his brain like you said. I think I fell more for the character he was playing. But it could be that he brought his personality in the role as well. But anyway that’s not important. ๐๐
HAHAHA. I don’t remember the body odour or OCD part. ๐๐ In that case I would have to let him go too. An unhygienic person is totally off putting haha.
“Shun Oguri really nailed that role. Didnโt he win an award for that? I think he should have.”
I don’t know if he won anything. But he totally nailed the role yeah. And since you and I have watched the original one, I think it would be hard for us to see anyone else in this role :/. But I will also check out the Korean version maybe [out of curiosity]. Once my ahjussi is over hopefully.
‘@Nearsea OMG Shun. Iโm obsessed with him since HanaKimi. Heโs not the cutest j-actor, but he is the best. Have you seen his movie Museum? It was savaged. -@Sansukini hi! I am also glad to see that you girls are a fan of his works! And never did I assume that PM3 has watched rich man poor woman! Haha. But I can see why it caught her attention. The story was really good.
I haven’t watched Museum. Since you’re recommending it I will try to check it out. I tried to watch border but it was too dark for my taste. :S
Haha, after rich man poor woman I tried to watch hanakimi, but since he’s the second lead I had to stay away.๐
@NearSea
Nooo… Oguri Shun is the male lead in Hana Kimi. You should watch that one. It was a riot (in a good way). It’s wayyy better than the taiwanese and especially the korean version. Ikuta Toma is the second lead.
He is the second lead in Hana Yori Dango (Boys Before Flowers). You should also see that even if he’s second lead. He’s the best Rui out of all adaptations. If you’re gonna watch his drama, I would suggest Tokyo Dogs and Ouroboros.
@CoffeeAndJelly Try to watch RMPW on Viu or kissasian. There’s 11 eps and an SP.
@SyeraAisya I’m loving Hana Nochi Hare too. It’s what got me to move on from APAD. It’s just sad coz I also loved APAD like this when it started.
