I like it when couples are learning to read each other’s mind.

He’s thinking:

She’s answering him telepathically, too. I think the correct word here is “conceited.” She’s asking him to stop being so conceited. He thinks it’s all about him.

And she dares him to ask her.

He says, “Fine. (I’ll play along.) Weiwei, why did you come see me out of the blue?”

Weiwei: It’s for my internship. I couldn’t find a suitable internship back home. Your company takes interns, right?
Nai: Our hiring standards are very high.
Weiwei: I’m only going to be an intern. I won’t ask for pay.
Nai: Free labor requires extra caution.

Meaning, he has to be more cautious accepting offers of free labor because there might be strings attached.

Weiwei: What do you want me to do (then)?
Nai: Bribe me.

She offers to buy him dinner. Which is nice really of her because she knows that Nai always treats her and the guys out.

Nai: Excuse me, I don’t accept just any bribe. Only the missus’ beauty.

lol. As usual, he’s using a bait-and-switch tactic with her; he teases her to make a point.

To me, his declaration can be understood in several ways. I’ll give four interpretations.

First is the virtuous one. He’s telling her that he cannot be bribed by material things such as money or free meals because looking at her beauty is ample enticement for him. He means, “No thank you. But I can’t accept the sort of perks you’re offering. Looking at your beauty is enough for me.”

On the other extreme, there’s the lewd version. He’s telling her that other than her beauty, he’s not tempted by other offers. So she should be prepared to seduce him with her beauty. I’m sure this is the one that most viewers got. hahaha.

Then, there’s the title explanation. If you recall, the other title of the show is “One Smile is Alluring.” He’s implying that bribes aren’t essential because just one smile of hers is already alluring. With just one smile of hers, he’ll more than ready to take her on as his intern.

Lastly, it can refer to their wedding day. Remember when she gave him her dowry? She said it wasn’t much but she’d make it up to him later. He accepted her gift but told her, “You’re all I need.”  He’s now reiterating that she doesn’t need to bribe him, AND he doesn’t need to be bribed either. She can have anything she asks for as long as she’s at his side. All he needs is her.

Have I missed other explanation? Personally, I prefer the last interpretation because it fits with the following scene: they sit together in companionable silence.
