What’s good for Nokdu is good for Hoon. Does Hoon know how to kiss, too?
So far Gaedong has been the one to impose on Hoon with her hugs and kisses. When will he reciprocate her physical affection? By Episode 14? Episode 15? Or heaven forbid, Episode 16?
I watched and reviewed Kim Min Jae in his other kdrama, “The Great Seducer,” aka “Tempted.” I recall a kiss scene. But since his character was playing the second male lead, the evil girl rejected his advances…until the last episode.
He was also in “Hit the Top” and he played second fiddle again to Yoon Shi Yoon. He kissed the girl there too.
But either the girl was drunk and had no recollection of the kiss afterwards or the guy was joking around so she didn’t take him seriously. Either way, the kiss was a dud.
So let’s see how his character fares in this drama. I want a convincing kiss. A kiss that will make my toes curl, my spine tingle and my heart stop. In other words, a kiss that’s hazardous to my health.

After all the disappointing kiss scenes I’ve seen though, I have low expectations but well, it doesn’t hurt to hope lol

Yeah not sure if KMJ can kiss. I am sure he can but convincingly? That’s the unknown. Still because I am not entirely invested in this pairing, I am not in any particular hurry to find out 😂. Only 6 episodes left. I am kinda wondering where they will take the Soo arc. Now that Palace maid is gone, he’s earning the sympathy vote from some who want some semblance of a “happily ever after” for him too. Quick Writer Nim, pen in another Palace Maid in amongst his harem to assuage his rage already!! 😬. The tide may well turn against him if he goes “bad” and plots revenge against Hoon’s father and potentially Hoon (competition) as well. To be fair, it was GD that confessed to Hoon so it’s not like he can blame Hoon for hitting on her in his absence.
Off topic but since you mentioned The Best Hit, it was such a great atmosphere on set. Cha Tae Hyun was PD (and acting as well) so it lent itself to a family atmosphere on set. All the 2D1N cast had cameos. This little clip of BTS was my favourite. Especially when CTH crept up on Yoon ShiYoon and Lee SeYoung during the kiss scene at the end and whispers, “Stop it you two” 😂

I am so excited how he’ll deliver it. I love kissing scenes not that bc of some rude reasons but I really want how the celebrity will deliver it.
It fascinates me how they do it with sensuality while they act. Daebak.
BTW,i love the kissing craftsman Park Bo-gum way of kissing. Full of passion and sensuality. The best.

If the Behind the Scenes clips are to be believed, then yeah, maybe he doesn’t know how to kiss. In the BTS of the scene where Hoon is tying Gae Dong’s hair, the director yelled “cut!” and Seung Yeon was like “you don’t know how to tie someone’s hair? Maybe you’re just pretending not to know” and Kim Min Jae said, “How can I know?”
I took that to mean he has zero or limited dating experience… so maybe also zero or limited make out skills? 🤭 *cue collective sigh sound effect*

I don’t know what will happen to Soo. But I can see why many posters will side with Soo now. He’s soooo benevolent. He’s so thoughtful. He’s sooo alone. It’s so unfair!
It’s that misguided “rooting for the undergroup” mentality of the masses. They don’t care about the direction of the plot or the narrative. They care that their hero doesn’t lose to that prividilege. Hoon, in the end.

Hoon can always give up Gaeddong to Soo ala “Casablanca” but Soo has pride. He won’t tolerate that his Gaeddong has another man in her heart. So what do we do?
He’ll just have to find someone else to love. He could be killed off, too, but that would be pose a bigger headache for Ma Hoon because the next king might be a tyrant.

I noticed that suddenly JDY skin color looked darker. Then, I realized they were going to shoot the kiss scene with his naked torso. The make-up director couldn’t powder him white all over when that’s not his natural color. pwahahaha.

Hahaha yes, his skin color was darker. But what a shot of NokDu brooding after his wash. DongJoon didn’t even blinked when she saw him come in. I was like ‘no reaction?’ 🤔 If it was me, I would have opened my mouth and then closed it again, liked fully closed. 😂

Right?! I was looking forward to this show before when they released the trailers and synopsis. It was about a dating agency 😆 and I needed fluff. To be honest, I stopped watching the first episode when I saw Gae Dong. It was the scene where she was fake tan and had a man bun. She looked so unattractive I couldn’t go through with the show.
I only needed background sounds while working that I decided to start episode 1 again. I continued the show cause of Hoon and Do Joon, but I was indifferent towards Gae Dong.
It was after watching the Elle interview that I noticed Gong Seung Yeon is pretty. She’s not the first you look at her, but she gets prettier the more you see her. Haha she looks lovely with her hair down and with a certain make up style.
So maybe she’d do better in contemporary romance? I’d watch one even with the same Flower Crew cast lol but have you watched her other dramas? Is she better in contemporary dramas or more of the same hit-miss or flat acting?
Hi @lollyminx , I agree that GSY looks pretty with make up and her hair down 🙂 She looks pretty at the wrap party for this drama, the ones that I saw on Instagram. I haven’t really scene her in any other drama except Are You Human Too but I didn’t watch that fully as well. She looks nice there and she was more meatier there too, I mean she looked liked she lost weight since doing a drama that’s probably why she doesn’t look pretty here.
I can’t tell you any of her other dramas because I don’t really follow her. I am here because of Hoon and Do Joon too. 🙂
