It’s Be With You, So Ji Sub and Son Ye Jin. I know I was going to cry but I wanted to watch it because I had time and I couldn’t watch it on the weekend. But I cried buckets. 😭 I think I haven’t had a good cry for a movie in awhile so this one brought it on big time. 😂

KMJ in terms of facial features, has sharper eyes and chin compared to YJG. YJG seems to have softer rounder features. My vibe for KMJ is that he is a very lively character and YJG’s a more down to earth person.
I only discovered YJG while watching HDL and then discovered KMJ watching Flower Crew and wondering why is there someone so similar! Honestly I love KMJ in his Hoon character in Flower Crew…swoooon….

I’ve seen them before. KMJ was in “The Great Seducer.” He played second lead but he was good.

Ahhh..I am Tempted (no pun intended) to watch that show too. But I have too many on my plate at the moment with Flower Crew, Extraordinary you and Nokdu to watch…phew! I also want to watch another of YJG’s drama…any to recommend?

I said that KMJ was THE bad guy in the end, not Woo DoHwan (the second male lead in “My Country”) and lol, the fangirls didn’t like that. I was right, though.
But KMJ was totally believable in his role there.
I saw some spoiler clips on Instagram and apparently Hoon kissed Gae-dong in tonight’s episode. Aaaaaaaah and it’s not a fish kiss. It’s not intense but there’s movement. 😂

Ep 11 – LIES
Hoon doesn’t give her a straight answer…he tells her she “failed”. Although when by himself and he does his monologue about his true feelings, she has his heart so he has “failed” (not her) because he has “failed” to fulfill his duties as matchmaker on her behalf. In the meantime, he is avoiding her whilst she tries in vain to corner him to get a straight answer from him. Soo levels with Hoon (face off) with veiled threats…I will not give her up…whoever dares even propose to her will meet with grave consequences…he even threatened ruin and death to their families 😬. And I totally missed the fact that the Gisaeng who is feeding DoJoon information actually fancies him?? 🙄. Anyway, it is clear in Ep 11 that she does.
O, Captain of the Guard/General (foster dad of Soo) who was sent away to battle has returned victorious to the city. Soo reappoints him to serve locally instead of heading off to battle again… they reconnect, reliving and reminiscing old times. Soo has been busy documenting misappropriation of war funds by one of the Prime Minister’s people (a relative) and shows the Captain the evidence. They agree to take him down together and Soo vows to bring GD to be by his side after.
GD finally corners him and forces the issue with him. Complete reversal of roles. She reaffirms her feelings for him and tells him she will no longer “pressure him but will wait for his answer” 😳. She just doesn’t want him to run away or avoid her anymore…”just stay by my side”, she tells him 😮
Lord Kang (JiHwa’s father) has been assigned to investigate the funds misappropriation and funds links to Crown Prince assassination… which would tie it back to the Prime Minister.
GD gets wind of Hoon’s decision to bring her to Soo and she confronts him again…once again spelling out where her feelings are. Hoon accuses her of being fickle (who would blame him? 🙄), first it was about Soo, then her brother, and now her feelings are for him? Where does her heart really lie? Can it be trusted? He is silent as she finally turns and heads to meet Soo with Hoon in tow.
Soo brings her flowers…from the palace (oops, he let that slip)…no, a pond outside the palace… (coward 🙄… guess he never learns, always fearful of rejection so hiding the full truth from her). Soo dismisses Hoon (the third wheel)… in the meantime, DoJoon masquerades as Soo the King and meets with JiHwa 😂…I like this turn of events as she buys it. They connect (Ala Ghost) over a pottery wheel… ugh… so sensual…and he tells her it’s not how you’re born but what’s inside that matters more? I think subs are weird here. She responds by kissing him 😘 – “this is my answer” she says… gah…but would she have accepted him had he not masqueraded as King? DoJoon wants “more of her answer” 😂… 😘😘😘
Back to Soo and DG’s date…accidental hug…GD tries to break the news to him but Soo seems to be hellbent on avoiding it, making vain attempts to direct her attention back to the “good old times” and keeps interrupting her attempts to tell him about her change of heart (tell me next time)… 🙄
DG sneaks out (what happened to rule number 2? 🙄) to see her brother again. Hoon happens to be meeting Lord Kang and chances upon her with oraboni…he makes the links about the “person she wants to see” and why she wants to be a noble woman. He follows her back home and confronts her enroute. She tells him again of her affections for him repeatedly. Who’s the blockhead now? 😂. As she tells all, he finally makes his move and kisses her. 😘. Which is ruined 🙄 with her wide eyed look…and she starts to hiccup…🤔😳. He kisses her once again to stop her hiccups… and petals start to fall… 🌸🌸🌸… Okay side bar… this kiss paled compared to the potter’s wheel one and even the pottery shop one by JiHwa and DoJoon… I give it a 4/10… and that’s being generous 😂…end of Ep.
OMG just halfway through Episode 11 and Gae-dong is the one who went full Yong-sik. She’s on a confession spree and I don’t know what to think.
When she told Hoon, “But I miss you.” I seriously thought, “Oh s***. Hells yeah Gae-dong. Go get him!” And “What are you going to do now Hoon?” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 His heart is racing… what’s he going to do about it?

@nrllee , yes BWY was a great movie. I forgot to mention about the twist and the cameos. They were really good. I was laughing at the scene with GHJ too. 😃 JiHo was great. I’m not sure if I’ve seen him in any dramas before. Anyway, it was nice to know that Soo-ah was there with him all along without him knowing it. It was so true what she said, it was meant to be. 😍
I want to see the behind the scenes of this episode. I feel like there’s a lot of NG in the pottery scene. Hahahahaha

@agdr03. Sigh yes that movie just had everything. Funny but the feelings were just so real. Their courtship was so cute. And I loved how we saw it from both perspectives… first from him and then from her. I didn’t even mind the whole fantasy aspect of it all, I was so lost in the “story” and the whole family dynamic. Even the penguin uncle…I couldn’t stop laughing when he showed up drunk at the house and kept squeaking when he stumbled into SooAh. His pants at the sports carnival 😂. The drive-in movie date. 😍. My favourite was how father and son would kiss her picture on the way out of the house. And of course the gut wrenching parting…JiHo’s promise to SooAh 😢…So many sweet tender ordinary moments.

It was very sweet how father and son would kiss her picture everyday before they head out. Definitely there were a lot of tender moments. I especially loved JiHo’s speech at the school performance. I was in tears there again. I woke up today with my eyes swollen. 😂
It actually made me think, would I like to have a chance at cloudland? It’s bittersweet because you get to spend time with the family one last time but you need to say goodbye too when the time comes. Maybe I would. 🙂
I know I said Young Soo is a whiny brat and having no meaningful backstory makes it worse lol but now that I’ve thought about it, I feel sad he’s being left out. They are leaving him out. They didn’t tell him about Soo and as we’ve seen in previous episodes, it’s Do Joon and Ma Hoon who talk to each other about serious stuff. I kinda feel bad no one’s there for Young Soo. I hope when all the conflict is over, they buy him lots of hats (that look the same) and rare perfume pouches because he deserves it. 😂
Also, is he the one being beaten up in the preview? Or is that Do Joon?

I’ve been ignoring Young Soo bec I don’t know his back story. He doesn’t seem to have a family. The king threatened (jokingly he said) to destroy the man as well as his family if they dare to steal GD from him or mess up his marriage plans. DJ asked Hoon if Young Soo had family.

@packmule3 It seems like we’re getting more of Young-soo’s backstory in Episode 12.
Based on some of the Episode 12 clips I’ve seen. It seems Gae-dong will return the “Try Again” wood thing to Hoon. Next time, it’s Gae-dong who will give Hoon a chance. Awwww ain’t that cute and sweet. They’re doing the sharing-our-fortunes-and-misfortunes thing now. 😍
Also, Joon is so perceptive. He notices that something changed between Hoon and Gae-dong. 😂
Hoon is also smiling a lot in Episode 12. 🖤
Aww…first few minutes of Ep12 ❤️…Back at Flower Crew house, Hoon serves her 😮👏Chrysanthemum tea to warm her up. Then as she explains the whole situation to him she tries to desperately to be brave and hold back her tears…and…he says in that glorious sonorous voice of his, “don’t hold it back. When you’re having a hard time, talk about it. (Poignant pause) If talking doesn’t help, then cry. (Poignant pause as her tears start to fall). If crying doesn’t help, then wait for it to be okay,”. Then he draws her sobbing into a comforting embrace and croons, “Until you feel okay (poignant pause), I’ll be with you.” 😍. Gah it’s moments like this that keep me peeled to this drama. 😂
A marriage ban has been enforced. Whilst the King chooses his Queen, all noble ladies 18-25 are required to submit themselves as candidates. I guess the King has first dibs on choice of maidens nationwide until his Queen is chosen. 😂 I can’t help but remember 100DMP where Yool subverted this age old tradition and demanded all the women outside the Palace be wedded instead 😂. Why is GD wandering around outside? I thought she was supposed to stay home (rule #2?). Without a maid in tow? 🙄. Risk blowing her cover? YoungSoo comes to her aid to ward off some random yangban trying to hit on her 🙄.
DoJoon and Hoon commiserate with each other about having to hide truths from their respective ladies. Hoon decides to only tell GD about Soo’s real identity after the upcoming “test” that JiHwa propositioned in exchange for her oraboni. YoungSoo and GD return and YS proudly hands Hoon a stack of “name cards” that prospective suitors had passed onto GD which of course sends Hoon into a jealous rage.
We get the backstory of YoungSoo which explains why he is obsessed with makeup and scents. He was a beggar (?) before and was teased relentlessly for “stinking” so he overcompensates now. GD (err…okay, way to blow your cover) rescues him from men who beat him up over a scent satchet. When he dejectedly asks her if she thinks he’s weird too, she says yes but then again everyone is a little weird which makes them interesting. He tells her she’s the second person who ever said that to him. No prizes for guessing who was the first person who told YS that. Anyway, later on we learn that YS is actually a fugitive wanted for petty theft and he has a bounty on his head (original name Chil Nom). Lord Kang is in possession of this knowledge and later on uses it to his advantage by positioning YS as his personal mole inside Flower Crew.
DaeBi begs the King to spare her brother (who’s being charged for misappropriation of funds). After consulting with the Captain, the King agrees to just remove her brother’s official position (sparing his life) in exchange for her stepping down as Queen Regent (transferring all her power to him) much to the consternation of her Uncle (Prime Minister). He flies into a rage later in private which leaves his Assassin vowing he will find GD ASAP to swing the odds back into their favour again.
Gisaeng comes to Flower Crew House to find DoJoon who hasn’t been seen at the brothel for while. He tells her it’s over between them. She in turn tells JiHwa his real identity. JiHwa is furious. Breaks it off coldly with DJ and smashes the vase they made together. She learns that GD is the one who met with the King in place of her. Nasty JiHwa alert. 😳 Sigh…why does writer make her so very nasty? Now I am not so sure she deserves DJ. ☹️
GD tells Hoon she wants to break the news to Soo personally (I like this) despite him wanting to be her messenger boy. Soo shows up in his shabby smithy outfit and goes to great lengths to attempt to rekindle yesterday’s happiness with GD. To no avail. She apologizes profusely for breaking her promise to him and hands him back the dragon pin. He asks her if it’s because of Hoon. She cries and apologizes for her change of heart. She still doesn’t know his real identity. Soo returns dejectedly back to the empty throne room looking all lost as his one reason to gain power is now no longer valid?
The test day comes and JiHwa meets with GD privately (no other ladies) and they face off. Similarly Hoon meets up with Soo and tells him he is withdrawing his contract to Soo (he is no longer going to send GD to him). End of Ep.

Well if she’s able to be nasty to GD’s brother who is already not mentally stable then we shouldn’t be surprised. I don’t want her to be with DJ too if she doesn’t get rid of her nastiness.
I haven’t seen the episode yet but sounds like our couple are very happy and ready to fight for their love.

I would like to blame the PD but given I had the same reaction to her in Are You Human Too, I am thinking it’s more likely her fault than the PD.

Gaeddong’s character isn’t bad on paper. When I write down her lines, I can imagine her doing this and that. But then I compare the scenario in my head to what actually happened, and her performance disappoints me. 😆

I’m at the part where Hoon tells Joon to end it with Ji-hwa. “We all know how it would end.” Joon tells him he doesn’t care about consequences because he has no future. Awwwww Joon is the type who gets into unhealthy relationships and habits (falling in love with a cruel woman, womanizing at the gisaeng house) because he doesn’t have a purpose in life. Just imagine how he’d be different if he grew up with his mother. I think he’d want a healthy relationship then and fall for the gisaeng who loves him instead of Ji-hwa.
I really like how the writer penned the dialogues. That’s another reason I am staying. For some reason when I watched and recapped above the episode skipped forward and I missed a whole segment about the love knot and their exchange. 😂. I was scratching my head thinking “what love knot?”. I just went back and rewatched that missing segment. 😂.

That’s why I remembered Jihwa’s dad’s words about buying the clothes. lol. Jihwa hasn’t done so.
I love the scene where Gae-dong gives the “Try again” stick to Hoon (she’s going to give him a chance next) since I saw the clip last night without the subs but now that I watched the entire scene with sub, I have to say, my other favorite line from this scene is Gae-dong telling Hoon to stay within her reach. I just think it’s sweet as I imagine Hoon’s heart racing hearing all of Gae-dong’s straightforward declarations since Episode 11.
“I love you. I have fallen in love with you.”

I just finished the bridge scene. That was good.
But the scene afterwards, the hut scene with Lee Soo/King was … sigh… relatable.
