The King: The Plagiarist Rosa Mae Aguilar Strikes Again

Can somebody from this FB group tell their admins that Rosa Mae Aguilar has done it again? What’s wrong with these people? Why do they tolerate a plagiarist in their  forum? For the clicks?

I want this taken down and please block her from posting again.

  1. I personally inboxed all the admins of that group to remove her content and ban her from the group. Let’s hope they do it!

  2. Should we all send messages to the admins? Would that maybe wake them up to take actions?

  3. Thanks, AvidOverThinker!

And thanks J for looking out for me and the people of this blog. Welmaris practically wrote that whole post and I only commented on some areas.

I was told that she was banned but an admin let her back in again.

  4. I can’t believe she hasn’t stopped..
I can’t understand some people. Hope it gets fixed soon

  5. It makes me sad about her.
I’ve met people with mythomania before in my life.
It’s quite appalling, and at first glance one tends to make fun of these people.
The first reflex is to confront them with their lies.
But these are not ordinary lies, and it doesn’t work.
These people don’t have a choice.
They know they’re saying nonsense, but they still have to do it.
Since then, I have been considering other cases of this kind.
People who cheat in video games.
And here, this case of plagiarism.
It may seem strange, but I have compassion.
To do that, there’s something that breaks down deep in the mind.
I hope this problem can be resolved peacefully.
If this plagiarist would just point out the source of the article and put a link, that would fix it very much.

  6. Sigh. She’s at it again and those admin just let her be. So sorry. 😔

  7. I know. I lost my mood to write.

  8. Hugs to you @pm3. I totally understand what you mean. 🙁

  9. So one of the admins just replied and I quote, “Done blocking her in the group… thank you for informing us☺”.

I can’t find the post so I assume that it has been taken down but I’m not 100% sure? Here’s to hoping that they don’t add her in the group the next time.

  10. Thanks AvidOverThinker.

Yes, they just blocked her from the group, and I hope she stays blocked. She’s been blocked before.

Wait…I have a nice banner for the thread now. Just wait for it. 🙂

  11. She’s stealing information from your site packmule3 so that she will be looking smart to others knowing that all of her theories were just stolen from this site. Why can’t she create her own theories. When she post that in the group, I suspected that maybe she stole it from your site because it is very detailed. Let me post this in the group. This is very frustrating in your part because you are the one who thinks this theories.

  12. @packmule3, I hear ya about this killing the mood for putting hard work into analysing and writing. What She Who Shall Not Be Named can’t steal from me is the aha moments when I mentally connected dots, and the pride I felt in crafting my words just so, so my message would be clear.

  13. Thanks Izumi Opialda. I was just told that she transferred to another TKEM site and that’s where she posted it. It’s the site managed by K-Lig Drama Master.

  14. Dear @packmule3

I would suggest reporting her profile as spam or as a troll collectively. That is the only way to stop her/him/bot. In my experience, some people who are fans run multiple channels and are not much into what content belongs to whom as they just copy and paste everything. I have no idea why. Some such profiles often belong to illiterate or sometimes not so educated people at least in a context that I have worked in. Reporting to admins won’t help much.

Such profiles might not even understand the entire body of work but share just because it has some key words or are about a certain star. I wouldn’t be surprised if the person/bot sharing this does not even speak English.

So yes, I can only think of many people reporting profile as spam and getting the person’s account blocked, though there is no guarantee (and I wouldn’t be surprised) that another similar but new account may not crop up soon after.

Not sure if this helps and yes, it is upsetting. But people who are really into the content will find you as there is only one of you and all doppelgängers are merely copies/bots who can’t compare.

  15. It’s not just your The King: Eternal Monarch posts she copied. I saw that she took some of your old posts too from 2018 on Goblin and posted them in another Facebook group. If she appreciates your posts and wants to share them with others, then at least she should give credit where credit is due. My guess is she likes the attention and praise she gets when people assume that they are her posts. It’s really sad and she has no shame.

  16. Just give me a screenshot please and email B3tchesoverdramas. And the name of the FB page. Thanks. I’m considering shutting down this blog. Or having everything password protected/members only from now on.

  17. i’ve been lurking on this site since TKEM ep 6. Your blog really elevate watching TKEM to the next level and i have deeper appreciation for the drama. It would be sad to not be privy to your theories but as a creative artist myself, i 100% support your decision to password protect your work. Do what you must!

  18. Can’t believe she did it again! Sadly such people can just go to another forum from where she has not been banned and post there. They have no scruples about passing off others’ work as theirs because all they care about are their social media popularity.

    @packmule3
I can understand how outraged you must feel when you see your hard work and meticulous research being passed off by somebody as theirs. It’s frustrating, but we are wuth you and we know what this blog stands for. Look at the hundteds of people who have joined here to add their theories to your theories, because you made us all think amd go deeper into a drama and analyze. Noone can take that satisfaction of creation and bringing like minds together away from you. This is a safe forum for us to share our diverse opinions and you make it happen.

Thank you for doing that and offering you my whole-hearted support to you and this blog 🤗🤗🤗

  19. I am a person of faith and i believe in karma. I hope the almighty will teach her a lesson on stealing what belong to others.

  20. Rosa Mae Aguilar is my creepy blog stalker. I checked out her FB page to see why she needed to do this. She has more than a thousand followers on FB. I have 0.

Is she such an attention whore that she needed to pretend to be somebody she isn’t for “likes” on FB? What can she do with “likes” on FB?

Her self-hatred is pitiful. She puts on an act on her FB that she’s tough and opinionated when she’s just a common thief.

  21. Common thief, that’s Rosa Mae Aguilar!!!

Common thief, that’s Rosa Mae Aguilar!!!

Common thief, that’s Rosa Mae Aguilar!!!

I’ll support you whatever decision you make whether to shutdown (😭) or password protect (🤞🏻) the blog.

You don’t deserve this because you did all the hard work. It’s so unfair that someone decided to be evil, greedy and a two faced liar.

  22. Growing Beautifully (GB)

@pkml3 I support the idea of password protection. We come in as guests by invitation, to your home, sounds about right. I’m sorry that your nice, safe space has been outraged and you’ve been hurt.

Thanks for giving us this space where we can connect with you and each other, where we try and make coherent our piecemeal ideas and to let out our zany thoughts. 🙂

  23. @packmule3 I am asking your permission again to post this in the group so everyone will be aware. I agree with one of the members here she likes the attention she’s getting. I don’t think she even get the story maybe she’s just pretending that she get it. This is your hard work, your own ideas. You work your ass for this ideas and someone will just own it. Thank you in advance.

  24. Sure go ahead. Thanks.

  25. @packmule3 I agree with GB that maybe you can choose to share passwords with who you want to allow in or set up a more strict approval process. The caveat is that you will have only a fixed set of followers and newbies may not be able to come in and comment. I personally follow this model for my blog where I have had a set of loyal followers and use my discretion to allow others in. However, it limits the diversity of opinions and thought sharing, but I’m okay with that. So you, as the blog author, have the sole discretion to decide what makes you feel more comfortable. We are with you in this😊 Please don’t stop this blog🙏

  26. @packmule3
I am so sorry that this awful plagiarist is continuing to steal your work. I hope that she will be blocked and stopped for good. I do hope that you will not shut down your blog because of this troll, it would be a damn shame, but I will respect any decision you make.

Honestly, it’s beyond me why people can’t just cite the source! She would get just as many likes for sharing the source and giving credit to the author.

  27. Ah frustrated that this has happened again. I can understand you mood at this point @packmule3 and will support your decision. I would also second @GB’s suggestion and support your idea of password protection,if possible.

I will be grateful to continue learning from the kickass wonderful bitches here and have a deeper appreciation of dramas. Tbh, this site helped clear a lot of confusion when watching TK:EM!

  28. God bless your soul, packmule3. I’ve been lurking in your blog since I came across your post about He is Psychometric. A huge fan here.

I am angry to find that a person can do such thing as claiming other’s works. That Rosa whatever inhumane being did you a complete injustice. Although I’m going to be sad if you decide to shut down the blog, I totally understand. It’s only right for you to protect what’s yours.

I am deeply sorry that you have to go through this. You deserve so much better.I hope you can find the best solution to this problem. Much love from Indonesia.

  29. 😡. What is wrong with her?

  30. @nrllee: She is that kind of social media parasite who just cares about number of likes from a bunch of strangers. This is a rising trend in Instagram too – copying others pictures and posts and passing them off as theirs without crediting. I have a poetry blog and I had to remove public access and make it private for this very same reason. Such plagiarists are also largely incapable of coming up with ideas or even writing lucid sentences themselves. So their only way to gain popularity is to pass off other talented writers’ work as theirs. If they could really write, wouldn’t they have taken pride in their own work and theories? Don’t we feel good when we come up with creative thoughts on our own and @packmule3 posts them here for everyone? That’s a satisfaction only a creator knows, not someone who can’t think for themselves.

  31. Growing Beautifully (GB)

So true @Phoenix. I always get a kick out of seeing a post of mine LOL, it’s a mini form of being published but it feels great!

Oh, do you have a poetry blog? That sounds lovely. I don’t write poetry seriously and haven’t for ages and ages. Once in a while when I read the poetry of others, I get a tickle but it hasn’t become a real itch 😆.

If you don’t mind sharing the link with me, I’d like to come by to read ya. 😄 You can email it to me at growingbeautifully88@gmail.com.

  32. @packmule3 i’m sorry that this plagiarism happened again. hope that those plagiarist will get her karma. i really hope you wont shutdown this blog, but again you have the right to do what you want because your the owner and i’ll respect it. i’m still glad i’ve the chance to found this blog and to know the awesome you and the poster here 🙂

i’m a silent lurker here, and i rarely coment on other platform too. i found this wonderful blog since korean odessy times and i’ve been frequently come (almost everyday i think) reading your post since then…especially when you writes about drama that i like or to look for recommendation. i’m still remember when you wrtite the firs post about Dr Cutie, your post beautifully written that it makes me intersted to marathoned it until watch the raw version while waiting the new ep (first time i watch raw cdrama)

for now, i’m enjoying so much reading TKEM and HP post here, i just casually watch the first ep of TKEM and didnt feel the urge to watch it live, just plan to bingewatch if i’m interested latter…but since reading your post in TKEM about poem Invocation of the Dead TKEM becomes
the most anticipated current airing drama that i watch…i’m looking forward to watch the new episodes, read your post then rewatch the ep again with the new info and hindsight that i can’t cath on before.

  33. I reported her last time, and she simply blocked me from reading her post.
So I have no idea to that she has done it again!?
It makes me sad about her.

  34. Dear Packmule3 and all the astute writers here. Firstly thank you so much for the insightful and detailed explanations you all have shared here on Packmule3’s blog. Especially to Packmule3 for all the hard work and funny gifs that makes me laugh out loud.
You are the site I run to everytime I get stuck and am puzzled by dramas’mysterious loopholes or black holes for me. I learnt so much from reading all the vital information gathered here!
So am just as upset when this stupid person decides to copy your work to promote her “likes”. Shame on her × 3!!
Please don’t give up on your mood to write Packmule3. I so look forward to checking your blog for new information and analysis and the fun gossip you gals have in the Islands sipping cocktails away!🍹🍹 I was just too shy to join you all.
But I gotta be brave like Lit TaelEul and am finally showing myself to applaud all of you who wrote so well here and say that you all are fine companions and don’t let that stupid girl shut down this wonderful blog please packmule3🙏🙏

  35. Dear @packmule3,

Three years ago, I wrote a long arse email to you about a drama and how petrified I was to write my views online. Since then, not only did you welcome me on your blog, but also gave me my formal internet name. Arihsi is of @pm3’s invention. Since Arihsi, I have become so bold in expressing my views on this blog that you’d be able to see my comments in every time zone on every post of the dramas I watch. Your blog is free from internet negetivity, personal attacks or any sort of horrendous online behaviour so common these days. Even abused celebrities would feel safe in this space.

All this is to say how deeply sorry I am that a day has come when you are thinking of shutting down this blog or making it for members only. Although I’d beg you to consider a members only format so that at least some people can not just enjoy your writing but learn so much about history, literature, mathematics – you name it. Even with a members only format, I’m not sure I’d be allowed in. Afterall, I do not know you personally, neither do I follow you on any other forum/platform. It’s not like I can telephone you and ask for the password. It makes me upset because I am human. But being in science, having been robbed of my intellectual property more than once, I support your decision. It is so sad though. I feel like such a part of a group here 😞

    Much love,
    Me.

  36. @Phoenix, a members only format sounds wonderful. I am passionate about poetry. As I mentioned to @agdr3 elsewhere, I used to be the resident weeper to well written poetry. I used to write myself too. Although that was ages ago. I would love to come read you. The only trouble being, the only email I have is my real world email. I can make a new ID tho. Would it be possible for you to share a link if I did so? I’m asking because otherwise, I wouldn’t want to go through the pain of making a different ID that I’d have no use of later on.

    Thank you 😊

  37. @Packmule3
If you didn’t shutdown this blog, aside from make password to read your post maybe you can setting your blog so so someone can’t copy paste the writing

I found some novel translation blogs used that method to protect their works. Even it can’t guarantee 100% your work from plagiarism, at least if someone want to copy your post they can’t just copy paste it, but need to retyped it manually

  38. Keep a cold mind.
    – Putting a password here would cause damage to this blog. It is very easy to find by search engines, and it would discourage the curious.
    – The facebook group or the plagiarist: I couldn’t even find them through a search engine.
    – It’s a private group, therefore even less visible, and with a limited audience.

  39. Dear @Packmule3

It is sad to see your intellectual property rights are being blatantly misappropriated without any sanctions against the perpetrator. I hope she gets her just desserts and this gets resolved once and for all.

I really enjoy your blog articles and the contributions made by your regulars. They truly elevate the dramas that we watch and for that I thank you.

Like the rest of us, I will respect your decision to do whatever you feel right by your blog.

    Take care!

  40. I’m a lurker since the start of TKEM. I even started watching Love o2o because I enjoyed reading the rest of your blogs and the comments from the members.
The audacity of this woman is just beyond me. I thought she would stop after her name is posted all over this blog. Seems like any kind of attention is satisfying for her.
I’m sorry this happened. And just like everyone else, I respect whatever you decide to do with your blog. I truly enjoy lurking here and getting to talk with others, though strangers, of the same interests. ☺️

  41. It’s a different group I think, I am the one who informed you about her last time. I am still in that group and she’s not. I’ve reported her profile but it would be best if all of you will report her too.

  42. @Anis is right. You can disable the mouse right click and/or the ctrl+X, ctrl C and ctrl V using a few lines of JQuery.

  43. @Packmule3 –

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. It must be extremely frustrating to see someone else taking credit for your hard work. I doubt this person can even understand what she’s presenting as her own work, but I guess she at least can see that it is brilliant, and not the garden variety fan gushing over a favorite’s new drama.

I am a recent, but avid, reader of your blog, which I found when I was bemoaning the mediocre recapping, and anti-fan hate and ridicule of the commenters, at DB. (I miss the days of GF and JB. It’s gone downhill since they sold the site). I have read every single post here about TKTEM, and have been awed at how insightful they are. There are dramas that can just be watched without thinking, but I have found that with this writer – or at least with this drama and Goblin, which was one of my early Kdramas, and I watched every episode at least twice before moving on to the next, to try to catch all the symbolism and clues that were there – the viewer has to think and pay close attention. That’s my favorite type of drama, and why Gobin remains at the top of my Kdrama list of favorites.

As I watched the first two episodes of TKTEM, I wrote (at DB) that I was getting a “Terminator vibe,” but the only person who responded to that idea was someone who reads your blog. So I came here and was amazed and thankful. I’m sorry I can’t participate more, but I don’t know what I could add to your wonderful analysis of this drama. I particularly love the math (which is NOT my forte) and the poetry/literature analyses, which is an area I have studied and love (especially poetry – one of my great joys in Kdramas, but also a source of frustration due to my inability to find any of it translated into English. I have often posted the video clip from Goblin, of Gong Yoo reading Kim In-yook’s Physics of Love, as an example of a perfect scene, in every way. But poetry can’t be translated effectively by subbers for a drama. It needs a professional poetry translator who has studied the poet’s work and understands the nuances of both languages, and even then there are quality issues, so you have to research to find which translations are considered the best by academics. (I’ve read some horrid Rilke translations, for example).

Anyway, this is a long winded way of saying that I love your insight and writing, and am very appreciative of this site. I’m glad I had the opportunity to read all three of your Red King entries before they were password locked. I felt the need to let you know how much I appreciate you – and the many intelligent, insightful people who comment here – and hope that you will continue to share your blog with us.

Thank you for giving us all such a wonderful place to express admiration and awe for this drama, and to discuss it without wading through the negative comments from people who either cannot understand it, or choose not to do so in order to continue bashing it due to their personal dislike of the author, the actors, or both. I do not understand the apparent desire some have for this drama to be a failure.

  44. @GB @Arihsi I will be happy to share my blog link with you if you both like poetry, though I’ve been kind of lazy in posting for some time. Not as super creative as @packmule3 here 🙂
I would prefer mailing the link to you, @Arihsi, if that’s possible. I’m just wary now after all these issues.
@packmule3 Hope you are okay. Sending you virtual hugs. Come have a Min-Grin Margarita to cure your blues 🙂

  45. I’m so sorry @packmule3 this happen to your blog, I’m gonna be sad if this blog will be shutdown , please who ever do plagiarism don’t do that, i really love this blog since TKEM, i hope you will considering again, i’m a new reader in your blog and if you want to have member, how can i join it? Reading your blog about TKEM is such a healing for me

  46. im a silent reader of your blog, i really hope you wouldnt close down your blog. I really enjoyed and love all your post coz it makes me ‘hmmm’ yup what she said seems plausible and now i understand more lol.

hope all of you guys are having a great day!

  47. Dear @Packmule3, I understand you. When I was doing my Bachelor Degree I selected a thesis in nanoparticle synthesis. Back then I had a “noona” that was doing her Master’s Degree. The thing is that after I left the lab she took the photos of my thesis and some results and made a Poster to show at an international congress, and also falsified the synthesis method. She put herself as a first author (but made me a part of the author list, though).

I had to keep my mouth shut since it was what my former lab had to offer at the moment (and they sorely needed both the recognision and potential resources), but imagine seeing the photos of my laser ablation track written as due to an electric arc {facepalm}. It was infuriating and put me in a bad mood.

Later she took the book of my thesis, wrote the paper about it and put herself as the first author, still keeping me into the author list… but it was MY thesis, and the experiments were done when she was away. She could have written it and keeping me or even better my former tutor as first authors. So my work is quoted in papers as “Fulana et al.” instead of “GB et al.”.

So I understand where are you coming from. Even though I would love for you to keep this blog open, any decision will be yours to make and I will stand by you.

If you want, you could use the hiatus at the end of TKEM as a well deserved vacation, and then decide what actions do you want to make.

Please don’t rush yourself nor take decisions while angry.

And that fulana Rosa Mae Aguilar is just an attention grabber with no originality.

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness”. Oscar Wilde.

    Big hugs,

    FGB4877

  48. Hi @packmule3! I’m supportive of your decision but this blog is really worth reading. This is the “blog of the future”. It can save lives especially during this pandemic, I’m not kidding!

I believe that this plagiarist Rosa Mae Aguilar will not go anywhere, she can’t have that popularity or whatever goal she wanted to achieve since she only robbed it!!!

I will sign up to be a member of this community if ever you decide to shut this down. Please let us know. In the mean time we can all help each other how to pin down this plagiarist! How can we apply for patent for this blog? Or we ask for the power of the flute, the sword and ring of King Lee Gon!

  49. Dear @packmule I am so very sorry this keeps happening. 🙁 This blog has been my turning point of how I understand & appreciate kdramas, & I love your insightful posts as well as the community here. Have asked so many of my friends to read the posts here & they have also enjoyed your blog. Will be so sad if you had to shut down your blog, a password protected space sounds better. Whatever the case, please take care. Like many who have said it here, we’re all behind you!

  50. @FGB5877 🙊 big hugs to you! My friend lost her two PhD first author papers because of such an event. Her life got ruined because she had to apply for another project and she didn’t receive her degree due to lack of first author research. It took her 8.5 years to finish her PhD because of a soulless, brainless individual who should never be doing science.

    It can feel horrible.

  51. @FGB4877*

  52. Growing Beautifully (GB)

@FGB4877 Does the ‘F’ in your handle refer to ‘Fulana’ ie you/your tutor and ‘GB’ refer to that bad Noona? LOL, I don’t want to be associated with that other GB!! 😬

  53. Hmm, seems the problem is actually bigger than I thought. I was curious and started scrolling through her posts in that FB group where she posted packmule3’s Goblin post and I saw she copied and posted content from other blogs and even a Korean newspaper – all without giving proper credit. She even answers questions about the posts as if she really did write them! No conscience or shame on her part. This is pretty sad and pathetic now…

  54. Yes. I saw that she copied from other blogs too. I think I’ll have to rely on readers here to alert other people and the admin on the forum that she’s a plagiarist. 🤡 What a clown.

  55. Hello, some blog sites by bloggers disable the copy and paste function on their page. I don’t know what they did that made it possible. Hope you can figure it out then.

  56. @packmule3 Did you get to talk to her through her Facebook account?

  57. How can they continue doing this even after getting caught and shamed on the very blog they steal from? So horrible.
Please do whatever you think is right.

  58. @GrowingBeautifully: no, the initial of my name is F, and GB are both the initials of my lasts names (the first one from my father, the second one from my mother). “Fulana” is a pejorative term referring to an X individual (and generally speaking, in Spanish the “a” at the end would designate a female, “fulano” would be the masculine form). So “Fulana” is, I believe, akin of “dudette”. I am FGB, but for example the first paper in fullerenes “C60: Buckmeinsterfullerine” is still referred as “Kroto et al.”. In that work there were three investigators: one was Harry Kroto, the other was Richard Smalley and the third was Robert Curl. So if I was to write a paper as a first athor it would be “G et al.”.

And yes, that turned me off of scientific investigation, even if I love it. Right now I am trying to discern if I should try to do a PhD. I am very old to go to almost any place (over 40 you can’t get a scholarship to Asia, but I am still on time for the EU and the Commonwealth). I am planning to start here and see where does it go from there. Haven’t published a paper on my MSc. since it was done under such shortage (abandoned lab, reagents used well after their expiration date, failing equipment) that even if I got interesting results I don’t have statistics to bulletproof them. Imagine using insulin shots to dosage solutions since you can’t afford micropipettes.

But well, this is my Venezuela right now. I still love my country but sometimes it feels like trying to stay with a mentally ill person and sacrificing all my life for it.

Anyway, on topic: @Packmule3, I am with you in any decision you take. You are not the first person that will get his hard work stolen from nor the last. But you should decide what to make of it. The Oscar Wilde quote is very relevant.

  59. Growing Beautifully (GB)

Thank you for your clarification, @FGB4877. I’m glad your GB refer to your initials from you parents names. Would I be considered a conocida de Internet? (your Internet acquaintance?) 😀

  60. Dear @GrowingBeautifully, Of course!!! 😉 . My generation dissapeared (mostly to Spain and to the States), so any friend I can get the better.

And I LOVE to talk to smart people. We Venezuelans are mostly “action people”, as in let’s do what we want and we will worry later about the consequences (we have a saying, “como va viniendo vamos viendo”, kind of “lets deal with life as it comes”). For me that ponder a lot before taking action and love to think, my countrymen and countrywomen are very frustrating at times.

    So, you are welcome 😉

  61. And @Arishi, thanks for reading me. Hope your friend is OK and having a blast as a post-PhD 😉 .

Hope to read you soon too!!! =D

  62. @FGB4877 Sorry I’m late to comment on this..That plagiarism of your thesis must have felt so demoralizing because of its unfairness- someone else taking credit for all your hard work. But noone can take away your intelligence and your analytical ability – so the thief’s gains are temporary while you have a permanent source of inspiration inside you 😊

@Arihsi My email id is aratimitra2011@gmail.com. If you want to drop me a message, I will share my blog link with you. And I hope my poems will NOT make you cry 🙂

@GB I will send a mail to you soon. Am madly tied up with work this week 🙁

  63. Growing Beautifully (GB)

Sure thing @Phoenix! Take your time. I’m kinda busy myself. It was a blessing that there was only 1 episode of this show last weekend. I wouldn’t be able to think about it much. 😆

  64. So sorry to read this. I’ve done my bit calling her out in the FB group. I also blog so I know the amount of work – and heart – invested in every article.

Plagiarism is punishable in our country, and I’ve contacted my lawyer friend who lives in the same island where she is. I hope we could track her down.

  65. @Phoenix thank you so much. Very late response. Will write to you soon !

  66. @Arihsi Sure, no rush. Hope your sister is less anxious now and you are feeling reassured. Sending you happy thoughts😊
