I’m joining @Agdr03 as she watches this episode. We’ll do one of our famous running commentaries. Like sportscasters watching a soccer game, we’ll shout GOOOOOAAAAAAL! everytime we see a cute episode.
Goal = relationship goal
You’re free to join us.
By the way, lurkers who are butthurt (you know who you are), I’ve already blocked you this morning. 🙂
Are you here, @agdr03?
Annyeong! 👋🏻😊
So RaRa is playing Bach. I like her teacher. I forgot her name.
Ms Gong. I like her, too. She’s a nice mother surrogate.
The little girl playing RaRa is cute. 😊
Ah thank you, Ms Gong. ☺️ She’s the total opposite of the professors at DYLB 😂
How yummy did those sunny side up eggs looks for breakfast? 😋 I need to have some Korean food this weekend 🤣
Oh I wonder if being a piano teacher is the answer to her problem. 😃
That Bach piece she was playing?
It’s Bach Prelude #2 in C Minor. I understand why a child would have a hard time playing it. It’s like — hmmm — trying to memorize a conversation between two people word for word. Except that this is a musical conversation so words aren’t used but notes. Bach is the father of counterpoint.
Wait. I’m going to start from the very beginning. Go ahead.
Sorry whereabouts are you now? I might be going to fast?
Why are they combing her hair in front of the dining table? 🙅🏻♀️
I’m starting from the very beginning, agdr03. So if people want to join in, they can. But go on ahead and post wherever you want. I’ll catch up anyway…that is, if my fingers don’t get tangled up with the keys. lol.
It’s ok I’ll go to the start too so I can see some skin 🤣
hahaha.
Everybody’s screaming except for Jun. And why is that Doc holding a dustpan??
He told her, “Run!!” but he was the one to run to the bathroom.
Jin looks good wet, err with wet hair 😂
Actually RaRa is lucky because there’s Cha, HY and Jun asking her about where she can stay 😁
Hayoung behaved like she was the hostess, introducing every one. But based on their seating arrangement, Rara was the “queen.” She took the only chair in the room.
I laughed when she said that she was Jun’s future wife. So typical of a fangirl. His reaction was telling. With HY, he was flatly rejecting the idea as absurd. He thought she was a child.
In contrast, didn’t he tease Rara about sharing beds with her? lol
I like that he sounded harassed when he told Rara that he wasn’t the boyfriend.
I know, right? They were all giving her a room to stay in.
I liked it when Jun stepped in and told her “Stay here until you find a place to stay.”
It’s said that “possession is nine-tenths of the law.” Jun wasn’t aware, but by keeping Rara at his side, he was establishing “ownership” of Rara – and taking “responsibility” of her. ‘
And I like that about him. Rara could be a handful but he wasn’t scared of her. He wasn’t a pushover. He knew he could deal with her.
Yeah, Jun made it loud and clear that he is single 😁
Jun said early on about them sleeping on the one bed and I thought Rara didn’t complain about it. 😊 I think she trusts Jun a lot.
She trusts Jun…or as Jun will say later, “For a conman, she’s really simple-minded.”
lol.
I like that Hayoung was more conniving. They fought over who was going to bring Rara’s luggage in. Rara wanted to do it herself. (See? She’s growing up??) because the luggage belonged to her.
But HaYoung insisted on doing it for her. She didn’t want Rara to haul her luggage herself because she knew that Jun would step in for Rara. As it was, Jun offered to walk with Rara.
I like how Rara waved to Jun but bowed (awkwardly) for the Doc.
Wave = same age friends.
Bow = he’s an ahjussi.
I think she’d “friend-zoned” Jun but “ahjussi-zoned” the Doc.
RaRa – I can’t run away from you because you’re the only one who can lend me money.
Jun’s face 😟
😂
I’m not sure why Doc is really interested in her. He’s newly divorced and he didn’t say to Rara’s Ex fiancé her whereabouts.
I wonder who this Mr Kim is who left the flower shop.
I wonder if he’s that old grandfather at the end of this episode who listened to Rara playing “Maiden’s Prayer.” By the way, I played the piece a long time ago. I was going to take a screenshot and upload it so you’ll see how the pages of the piano book have yellowed in age.
Here, in this scene with HY, Rara learned that Jun was a compassionate guy. But HY thought she meant, “passionate” guy.
This is when Rara told her that she didn’t have the luxury of falling in love at that point in her life because of her circumstances.
Another sign of her growing up, our little Emma…errr, Rara.
I think the Doc was wondering about that himself…why he was so interested in this girl.
And I think I know why. If he is indeed dying (that’s the reason for his pills, right?) then Rara presents a last “spring” for him. She’s like a breath of fresh air, and she’s as ALIVE as the blooming flowers.
And did you see the two men going after Rara when they heard that she disappeared from HY’s place?
I’m glad that Jun found her first.
And wait, I’ll explain that animation .
Listening to little RaRa playing Bach is nice. ☺️
There’s breakfast with hair combing. 😬
That scene was funny where she’s telling them what food she used to eat.
Hahaha the Mom and daughter got excellent jobs certification 😄
Yes! I noticed that Rara got them to do what she wanted by praising them and giving them the attention they wanted. That’s her talent.
She’ll make a good piano teacher indeed because she can charm her students to practice harder and longer without turning them off.
But brushing her hair in front of the dining table?? Uhhhh…nope.
I know the computer graphics while homeless Rara was sitting on the steps may look odd for some viewers.
But I like the results.
First, the graphics conveyed her childlike (note: I didn’t say “childish”) belief that her father was watching over like a star twinkling in the sky, which is the theme of this kdrama.
Second, the graphics illustrated her loneliness without resorting to maudlin images. The animation was in keeping with the special effects used in earlier episodes.
And last, the graphics segued beautifully from the star in the sky into the light of Jun’s bike.
I mentioned the stars in the Eps 1 and 2, didn’t I? I said she was following her “star of destiny” (to borrow a kdrama cliche) when she crashed into Jun.
Now, she began talking to her father up in the heavens. She was because HaYoung’s mom refused to take her in as a boarder.
She said, “I have no idea where I am right now. And my phone’s dead. Nothing’s going my way. Appa. Appa.”
She was feeling all alone in that great big universe, and the graphics illustrated that. She imagined that the shooting star was heading towards her and then she was shocked to see the starlight turn into Jun on a bike.
So, once again, we’re seeing how her fantasy, imagination becomes a reality in Jun…like when she crashed into Jun and his bike.
lol. The bike is a romantic device in this story. I like that. In other kdramas, you see a bike scene just once. It’s like a trope that the writer must check off on her “trope” list.
But in this drama, the bike trope is given more thought, and carefully woven in.
I’ll have to write about that later….
Oh please post a screenshot of the aged piano sheet. ☺️
Yeah Mr Kim that owns the flower shop.
HY will only think of passionate, ownership and securing her place as Jun’s future wife. Fan girling at its best. ☺️ But she’s cute.
I didn’t notice the pills that Doc takes. Which episode was that?
I know right? That’s a big no no. 🙅🏻♀️
Oh HJ’s Mom bestie is here too, one of the customers of HY’s Mom. 😄
Ah I thought Secretary Moon might be shady because he told Rara to go far away. I was right.
The pills? It’s midway through this episode. Will get there….
Who’s HY again?? Which drama is that? Brahms? or Record of Youth? I’m getting all the names mixed up. lol.
Yes. Grrrr… Don’t you hate that? She was expecting Sec. Moon to help her out but he was the first one to con her.
Oh well. Another trope that would have a happy ending. I wonder how this writer will resolve that.
Sorry, the ladies at the salon, one of them is the bestie of Hae-Jun’s mom in ROY. 😊
I meant one of Hae-Young’s Mom’s customer is the bestie of Hae-Jun’s Mom.
Their everywhere 😁
Wait! I thought the actress playing the bestie of HaeJun’s mom (from Record of Youth) was the actress who played the mom in the hospital with Rara??
But you said she was the salon’s customer? I’m confused.
I also like the scene when Jun found her on the steps.
Rara: Jun!
Jun: (calmly) What are you doing here?
He was pretending that he didn’t frantically look for her. But he was shocked when she hugged him. This tells me that HE was more *aware* of her than she was of him. To her, he was sort of a security blanket. But he’d been crushing on her since they met at her wedding.
Rara: Jun! Thank you. Seriously. Thank you for finding me.
Jun: (patting her back, hesitantly) You were going to flee without paying me back?
This guy is so my style, agdr03! He was teasing her, not only because he felt awkward hugging her, but also because he wanted to comfort her.
Rara: No, of course not! I can’t run away from you.
Jun: (looking confused) Why?
Rara: Because at the moment…
lol. You have to listen again, @agdr03. It was his heart that was beating loudly. I think he was flustered because he thought she was going to confess to him?
And Rara really is clueless.
Rara: You are the only one who’d lend me money. And I’ll have to keep on borrowing money from you.
Pwahahaha. She’s as cheeky as a chipmunk so it’s hard for me to dislike her.
Jun: (snorting) Jeez.
Rara: I was trying to find your place but got lost because it’s so dark.
Jun: Why is your cellphone off?
Rara: Why would I turn it off? It turned itself off because it ran out of battery.
Jun: And? It’s cold and dangerous out here. Were you going to sit around all night on your suitcase?
He was getting angry at her recklessness.
Rara: (nodding head) I thought I should be able to find your place once the sun comes up.
Jun: Gosh. You fool. Come on.
I like that he didn’t scold her for long. What’s the point, anyway? She was frightened enough as it was. He noticed that she was shoeless, and looked at her.
Rara: A piggyback, please?
Jun: Hell no!
But of course, he said this good-naturedly. He knew that SHE knew that she was pushing her luck.
I like your explanation about the graphic transition of the scene where RaRa looks up to the sky.
I like the way it’s done and for the star to come down and become the light on Jun’s bike is great. ☺️
No, not the one at the hospital. The one with the daughter, you mean?
No, it’s the lady at the salon, she’s wearing a red stripe top. 😊
She’s the one that supplies the side dishes to HH’s house yeah?
I thought it was a good use of computer graphics.
I know most people would cringe at first sight, but if only they would stop and think WHY the director chose to do it that way (and, more importantly, spend money on computer graphics) then they’d see that it actually made sense.
It’s a lot less cheesy and trope-y than having Jun appear down the street on his bike. And it tied in with the “Twinkle twinkle little star” theme.
Oh yes I heard his heart ❤️ beating fast at the thought that she might confess to him. 😊 Did you noticed that he picked up her stuff?
I’ll always have a laugh whenever RaRa says something about owing money to Kim and him being her guarantor. 😁
No I thought it was great too and I thought it was just perfect because RaRa is her daddy’s one and only girl so the graphics made sense for a little girl. It’s a good transition to the star coming down through Jun’s bike because he really is her star.
Yes, I noticed that he was the one to gather all her stuff.
And yes, it’s a running joke that he’s her *guarantor.* They’re trying to keep their relationship strictly business but of course, they’re more than that. Since he’s the guarantor, he has a responsibility over her welfare, and that makes him MORE than a boyfriend, and LESS than a husband.
Goodness! That’s a lot of pills. 😱
So Doc’s ex wife is friends with Rata’s friend too.
RaRa is smart! Getting her free face cream from Jun. He was giving it away. 😂
Have-young’s wingey again.
Oh I’m laughing at how Rara gets people to buy her food. 😂
The brightly painted piano sounded so great and in tune, despite the exposure to the elements. But I am happy to suspend my disbelief.
Mrs. Gong, you should not assign Bach’s Prelude in C minor to anyone whose age is in the single digits!
Ra Ra’s assessment of Bach is spot on.
When Rara told them to leave her room because she needed to rest, and when they thought she committed suicide because she was all quiet…
hahaha.
This is another one of those tropes that the writer brilliantly turned upside down.
Rara tends to conk out when she’s stressed out. And look at the way, Jun was hiding his smile.
GOOOAAAAAAAAAL!
Later (about 3/4th of this episode) Rara would text him.
Rara: Jun.
He would immediately sit up and look at his phone.
Rara: Don’t get curious if you don’t see me for a few days.
Jun: (thinking to himself) What is she up to this time? (then he texted her) I was never curious to begin with, so don’t worry.
lol. That was a cute answer. If Jun were a girl, we’d know that he was lying through his teeth.
Rara: I hope you have nightmares.
hahaha. Good comeback. It was so mean-spirited.
Jun: Shireunde.
This was he told her when they first met. “I don’t want to.” He was saying, “No thank you. But I won’t have any nightmares.”
But she didn’t respond so he texted her again.
Jun: Hey, I said no way.
Then, he stopped and wondered, “Is she sulking?” Then, he talked to Mimi the dog, saying, “I guess your sister fell asleep due to too much stress.”
See that? I like how he regarded her dozing off like a baby as an endearing trait instead of an annoying habit.
Oh here’s our very own Ms Gong, hi @Snow Flower 👋🏻😉
Are they the same person?
The friend of Doc’s ex = Rara’s friend?
Ah! That one!
I like the other ahjumma at the salon, too. The one who kept spouting English.
Ah! Jun also knows how to speak English…and Chinese.
hahaha. I’m guessing the producers of this kdrama want to market this to the Chinese.
Yes, the same person. Ex fiancé talked to Rara’s friend before asking her where she is.
Yes! That hidden smile of Jun when they were closing the door. 😍 It just showed that Rara is indeed simple minded and she’s not a conman. Sleep is her stress buster. 😂
So funny that the ahjumma’s are all speaking the truth in what’s actually happening 😄
Omo! Jun is so protective of RaRa, I’m falling. 😱 This guy! ☺️
Loved Jun’s half smiles. The actor is becoming a favorite. I only remember him as greedy evil hacker Marco from Memories of the Alhambra. “Shireunde” is now my new favorite Korean word, 😄!
Jun’s notebook! Another mystery to add on the list.
We have the baseball cap with the initials JH and a math notebook with the picture.
That was the first time he shouted at Rara, “Why are you going through my stuff?!”
But he realized that he did wrong so he immediately apologized.
Jun: Sorry. I yelled at you.
Rara: It’s okay.
But he saw that she wasn’t okay (was she rubbing her arms?) so he tried again.
Jun: I heard you got a job.
Rara: (brightening up immediately) Yes! Isn’t it such great news? You must be stoked.
Jun: Of course. You can finally pay me back.
Rara: I think God gave it to me as a gift because I felt so bad about owing you money.
It’s cute that she always think about paying back her loan. Even when she was sleep-talking that first night at HY’s apartment, she talked about paying Jun back right away.
Jun: But you don’t look sorry at all.
Pffft. How did he expect a contrite person to look like? Somebody wearing ashes?
I laughed at her little finger “pat-pat” and her funny disguise when she KNEW she was bothering him again for the cream.
Yes, she had HY’s friend buying her a meal.
See that? That’s Emma-ish, too.
HwaYoung is like that orphan Emma was training to be a young lady and was marrying off to the vicar. That orphan had a farmer boyfriend. Emma made her ditch the farmer boyfriend because he was “beneath” her.
In this story, however, Emma…errr, Rara approved of HY’s relationship because she could benefit from the boyfriend. lol.
That’s the word, stress-buster!
And she’s soooo un-chaebol-like when she sleeps like that.
You have to start counting Jun’s smiles in this episode.
I’ve about half an hour before I need to get ready for work.
@Snow flower,
Was Rara playing “Chopsticks” in the beginning?
To impress HaYoung and her mom, she played Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, the third movement.
Zombie Detective had the Moonlight Sonata, first movement. But this one was the third movement.
I like that Jun stopped her from playing because she would hurt her wrist.
GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLL!
He didn’t need to be a doctor to know that she was straining herself.
Hmmm…I wouldn’t be surprised if he sent that Old Grandpa to watch over her while she played the piano since he was stuck in the store, restocking cosmetics.
Well with Jun’s smile, there’s one from the doorway, one from the bike.
How does he read her so well?
Any guesses as to what his surprise for her was going to be?
Did he make a bed for her or did he build a partition so she could have a room of her own?
Aigooo. I like a guy who can build things.
I’m feeling like we’re playing soccer here with your GOOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!! 😂😂😂
But yes, he knew that her hand still needs to recover.
It’s either a piano or the 2nd room in his house.
Maybe both? 😃
Awww the old man crying because he thought of his wife as RaRa played Maiden’s Prayer.
Is that the old man from first episode?
I’m fast-forwarding to the end because I’ll need to get ready for work.
I like that he called her up as soon as he got off from work. He was out of breath because he was running up the stairs in search of her. He didn’t like her practicing on her own.
Ha! She told him NOT to worry if she was away for a bit, and he said he wouldn’t care, but he followed her anyway to check on her activity.
Rara: Jun!
Jun: Where are you? Are you home?
Rara: It’s late. Of course, I’m home.
This is like that dead cellphone conversation in the beginning of the episode. He wondered why her cell phone was off, but she answered him a matter-of-factly. As if it was just common sense that her battery had died, that’s why her phone was off.
This is what Jun meant by she’s “simple-minded.” She didn’t engage in subterfuge; she wasn’t conniving. She was a straightforward person.
Jun: (he sighed in relief, and stopped running)
Rara: What about you?
Jun: I just got off work. What are you doing?
Rara: Thinking about you.
Jun: Can you — can you not do that?
hahaha. This is again just like that scene at the stairs when she said that she couldn’t run away from him. She was making his heart flutter.
Rara: Why not? I have something to boast about.
Jun: What is it?
Rara: Tonight, an old man cried after he heard me play the piano. You know “A Maiden’s Prayer,” right? You know, the school bell music.
Huh?? They used this for the school bell? hahaha.
Rara: (continuing) It’s such a common song but he was so touched that he started crying.
Jun: REally? I don’t believe you.
Of course, he was just teasing her.
Rara: Gosh, you’ve never cried after hearing someone play, have you?
Jun: (flashback to when he did cry outside her gate) Of course. Never.
Rara: That’s why you can’t understand. I feel so proud. Do you think, perhaps this was a hidden talent of mine?
Jun: (smiling) That’s ridiculous.
Rara: You just wait. I’m going to make you bawl your eyes out someday.
hahaha. Is this a foreshadowing?
Jun: I’ll look forward to it. Can you come over tomorrow? I have something to show you.
Rara: What is it?
Jun: Find out for yourself.
So what did he build for her? A bed? A room divider? A room? Surprise me, Jun!
Rara: You’re making me curious.
Jun: It’s getting late. Go to bed.
Rara: I’ll watch the stars first. Go home safely and good night.
Jun: Okay.
And he was standing outside her window while she gazed at the stars. She was thinking how right he was to say that music was part of her life and she won’t be able to forget it because her memories are forever intertwined with music.
I like this whole scene because he made her discover the meaning of music in her life.
Gotta run. Will continue this later. Bye.
Oh the room first then the piano later. 😃
It’s creepy that place with all of Rara’s pictures. 😱
Are you off already? I just finished it. We did good timing for 2 hours. ☺️
Yes. It’s the Mystery Old Man. He was one of the four suspects for that mysterious Mr. “Do do sol sol la la sol.” 🙂
Yes. Got to get ready for work. I don’t have to be in till noon, but I need that much time to prep, physically and mentally. 🙂
Thanks!!! This was fun! As usual, we “lit” the boards.
Jun’s heart fluttering should be counted here. There’s a couple already and I’m sure there will be more. 😍
I believe it is a foreshadowing that Jun will cry while listening to Rara playing the piano.
He made her a room with a bed, I think. It’s cool. 😊
Yes, Jun made her realise that playing the piano will always be connected and a part of her. He’s a star, her guiding light. ☺️
Thanks for the thread! Just like old times! 😉🙌🏻
Have a good day!
I really like episode three. Episode two made me waver but I am glad RaRa is back in track again.
That scene with the grandpa was so heart tugging.
I can’t wait for RaRa to move back in with Jun so I could see the doggy often. Mimi is too cute.
@packmule3, agdr03 and @Snow Flower. Sorry to miss your co-watching. It was v small hours of the morning here. How nice to have trained pianists to help us not-very musical types!
It looked to me like Jun had training as an architect or structural engineer, going by the drawings, combined with his math book.
He SAID he was a middle school graduate. I think this is similar to secondary school here, which ends at 15-16, before what is called College which is University prep or like a junior college in the USA. I think he’s being disingenuous or covering his tracks. If his in-school education ended there, I believe either he received private tuition or studied for an online degree; or he just didn’t want to elaborate. I wouldn’t be surprised if he speaks English and/or Chinese, too.
If the woman searching for Jun is his mother. a relative or a high ranking support staff of The Chairman’, he may be escaping a chaebol lifestyle, just opposite of RaRa.
I don’t believe Jun knew the pianist playing just after the wedding was RaRa. But he didn’t want to admit to her that music moved him. How sweet that he priced pianos for her. He understood before her, and more fully, that piano playing was part of her identity.
Dr Cha – I don’t think he was interested in Ra Ra until she started playing ‘Ah vous dirai-je…’ He had the look of someone who was asked along to the recital until that point. —Probably planned to head towards the loo but sneak a ciggy outside the foyer. I don’t think he’s the stalker. I hope not. But what’s he playing at with RaRa’s ex fiancé when he knows exactly where she is?
I was laughing because Ha-Young searched for RaRa to figure out her background and found her blog with Mimi. They were wondering about Jun. I wonder that Ha-Young hasn’t fan-girl researched him – perhaps he has a false or very common name?
I liked the star to bike light switch too. Like a transition from the past (caring father) to the present (caring friend, Jun).
Maybe the creepy stalker is Mr Dodosolsollalasol? Although I want him to be Jun, can’t ignore that there were four “suspects” at the observation deck that sunny afternoon.
There was a photographer that day. The grandpa was looking at him? Maybe he’s the stalker?
Talk to you later. 🙂
@packmule3 and the other watchers,-this was just wonderful. I think Jim first saw RsRa at her graduation recital before the wedding. By the wedding Jun was on the run from what appears to be his family. And I think that Doc may be connected in some way to Jun and RaRa’s would-be husband. A K Drama trope. I am liking RaRa more this episode because it shows her kind side more. She does like “free” stuff as evidenced by when she added up her purchases with her almost mother in law for the gift with purchase. I also got a kick from how she described Mimi as her sister. T is show is becoming a pleasure show for me. I’m pulling for RaRa and Jun. And I want Jun to not be tied to a chaebol life. And I want the evil secretary to get his comeuppance.
I admit that I had never heard of “The Maiden’s Prayer” until yesterday. In the state-sponsored music school where I was trained, such pieces were dismissed as “salon music” and not included in the curriculum. When I looked the piece and the lady composer up, I felt sad because she died young. I wonder what is the story behind the piece.
I agree with Ra Ra that playing Bach is the best way to get back in shape after being away from the piano.
I will scream GOAL! when Jun and Ra Ra play a piano duet.
I just finished this episode last night didn’t know you were doing a watch thread could of joined 😂
I think Jun made a room divider and will purchase the piano for Rara.
I hope the writer will keep up with the comedy until the very end.
Jun does the cutest blinks!
Also, the use of Chopin’s Etude in C Major cracked me up.
I couldn’t join you all with watching the show but I do agree with you packmule that it’s probably the creepy stalker that is DDSSLLS and that’s going to be interesting to keep an eye on, has now left the show with a certain discomfort/darkness to the whole bright energy from the other parts of the show. I was okay with episode 3, and I had fun watching Rara start to realise her new love for music, piano and the academy, I still dislike the doctor is he actually dying? Because I still think he’s creepy and weird, and the fact he didn’t tell Rara’s fiancee about where she is, just isn’t sitting well with me. This show is the korean show I’m enjoying more out of all the others.
@pm3, the first piece Ra Ra played on the outdoor piano (before she started the 3rd movement of the Moonlight Sonata) is called Shave and a Haircut in the US. In my country, it was called The Cat’s March.
Other pieces heard in Episode 3:
Bach’s Prelude in C major – played by a boy in the piano academy where RR applied for a job.
Prelude in D major, also by Bach – RR plays it on the outdoor piano.
Dr. Cha was listening to Bach’s Goldberg Variations in his apartment.
I understand. The doc did look shady when he didn’t tell Rara’s runaway groom where Rara was. However, I thought he had two good reasons to butt out.
One, it wasn’t really up to him to reveal her whereabouts. If Rara wanted to get in touch with her deadbeat (lol) fiancé, then she should be the one to get in touch with him, not the Doc. The Doc shouldn’t interfere and presume to know that Rara wanted former fiancé back.
Two, the Doc probably thought his relative/Rara’s fiancé was no good for Rara, and didn’t deserve Rara after running away during her hour of need. The fiancé didn’t seem capable of standing up to his mother, and Rara was better off without him. He asked him, “How could you abandon her when you know of her situation?” The spineless fiance answered, “You know how exhausting my mom could be. Every time I go out to eat, my friends always talk about my mom. We’ll be criticized by everyone until the day we die.” After that, the spineless fiance even asked him, “Hyung, should I just live with Rara without telling my mom?” The doc answered, “You’re insane, right?”
I think that could be interpreted in two ways.
a. He thought that the idea was crazy.
b. He thought HIS FRIEND was crazy for asking a question like that. That is, if the groom really wanted Rara, then what’s the point of asking a question like that.
Then, the spineless fiancé said, “I heard she got scammed and lost her apartment. I don’t even know where she is.” And the doctor looked disconcerted here.
My take is, if the fiancé REALLY loved Rara, then he should be frantically looking for her. He shouldn’t be sitting there with the Doc drinking soju, and talking about Rara.
Just like what Jun did that night that Rara ran away from HaYoung’s apartment. He and the Doc immediately started looking for Rara.
Listening to his relative/Rara’s groom, he probably realized how unready and unreliable this young kid was for marriage.
I can’t say that I disagree with the Doc’s assessment. lol.
At any rate, I don’t think he had the right to disclose Rara’s location without getting her permission. If I were in the Doc’s shoes, I would have kept quiet too. I can always plead doctor/patient confidentiality. 🙂
Another name for the piece RR played before the Moonlight Sonata is Flea Waltz.
Thanks for the titles of the piano piece that’s been played here @Snow Flower. I wouldn’t have a clue even though we have a piano at home. 😁
I think it’s too late for me to learn it. 🤔
Same time like tonight you mean? For watching episode 4?
I’m game because I’ll be free then. 😊
What time is it in Australia right now? 9:40 pm? Yes. We can start at 9pm your time/6am my time.
Tomorrow for Episode 4. I’ll post it on the blog to give others a heads-up.
Aha, 9:44pm now. Ok cool! 😁
Yes please, announce it. Should be fun! 😄
