JP is feeling full of himself that he’s answering all of DM’s emails. He is a hypocrite. He says it’s a burden but he’s pleased that she turned to him for info. His actions and expressions don’t go with his words. He’s patting himself on the back for being able to answer her.
He does not even know that he’s contradicting himself.
LOL. JP was happy to see DM, thinking she came up to see him personally … until he saw that DS had accompanied her. Heh!

I know haters call Dosan “sad boy” because he cried more than Dalmi and the rest of the characters in the whole drama. His acting is really really good. Those eyes…
So, Halmeoni says to Do-San not to tell the truth to Dal-Mi about losing her eyesight and about the letters.
And Do-San as a softy agrees to it…
Almeoni…. Always hidding thing, this damn grandmama like to make others blind about the truth… in a way, she’s an antagonist.
I like that scene where DS gives Grandma the scrubbers that he made in RGB. They bonded over that as well as over his understanding of why JP owed Grandma and couldn’t pay back with money.
He’s bragging about receiving 400 texts/emails.
I can’t believe he answered all of them. And I can’t believe that the fangirls were all so over this as if this was so admirable.
If I were him, I’d have taken the “big picture” approach AND called Dalmi to meet up with her.
Duuuuuuuuh.
If he really liked her, then this was a perfect excuse to have a one-on-one time with her IN PERSON. But nope. He answered her questions by WRITING to her.
That was a missed opportunity, a wasted opportunity.
And let’s compare this to Dosan who ran after the bus in Episode 6 and rode all the way home with her. That’s initiative right there.
Dosan deserves Dalmi.
@WEnchanteur During the airing of the drama I am 50-50 with grandma. She did manipulate (if that is the right term) all the kids. Her never ending lies!!!

LOL I love the official and most awkward meeting between Grandma and JP in front of DM. So many looks all over the place and poor DM knows nothing. Love their expressions. The music is so appropriate… Lies, lies all around except for DM.

Dosan and Grandma scene is like a lesson on facial acting. One of my favorite scenes. And Dosan realizing grandma is the miracle maker here. Hence “you deserves more” comment from DS when they meet again in ep16 is still to honor that.
LOL the different sizes of fish that DM does not notice but Grandma does. LOL DM misses JP’s plate altogether!!!
DM got it so wrong… it’s the opposite. She thinks JP is actually helping DS and she gets his help because she’s in DS’s company. JP should have just kept quiet since when she asks why, he can’t really tell her the truth.
JP has a quality, very strong quality : the nerve.
He can’t do things, except thing he dare to do and he should not.

True, Janey. I like that the Dosan actor didn’t over-emote in this scene. It was evident that he was agreeing to the grandma only under protest. He communicated just with his facial expression.
And I like that he knew that this whole encounter was a miracle due to grandma’s kindness.
But to avoid being mawkish as grandma warned, he gave her the scrubbers at just the right moment.

What an awkward dinner. Grandma complemented that JP was DM’s savior, JP snidely looking at DS. DM corrects this, that JP is doing it for DS. And then JP makes it about money. Grandma frowns at JP. DS diffuses the conversation by saying thanks for the food.
Big cold girl will have to eat low cost pasta during 6 months…
both went home, one could not helped but fuming over Dosan’s words and in denial mode, and the other one is thinking about Halmeoni’s predicament and how he wants to help her.

well, today its about the 7th episode. it feels that ji pyeong its jealous and envy about them (i feel its more envy than jealous). the scene that he sees dalmi and do san talking happily its so clear about envy, because would he make her smile like this? (i felt)
besides the reasons that we already know why JP doesnt say to dalmi the truth, i really feel that he is being afraid about the direction its taking his feelings and HE IS SO ENVY THAT DOSAN CAN MAKE DALMI HAPPY!! he doesnt say the truth because he is so afraid of the truth, he is seeing dalmi and dosan get more and more closer and after he will want take a place of dosan in dalmi`s heart. Same here, Ella! A part of me likes that Dosan was a one-woman man. He was all-Dalmi, 24/7.

@WEnchanteur, it’s true that later on IJ is an ok manager to DM. Here she’s still sore about being thought to be unable to get business without her dad’s help and is acting up.
But it was a good experience for DM. By seeing what CEO Won does to them, she knows and DS knows, what they will not compromise.

They speak, laugh, and of course JP see that. ah aha so heartbreaking. People are always here to witness at the good place and good time. It’s a scientific law in kdrama.
Sorry a little bit shallow… I hate IJ’s suit. So big for her. And this striped sweater that Dosan is wearing. Too big for him. In fact one of Injae’s team members was wearing the exact outfit in the latter episodes. Not sure if it was a wardrobe mistake.
I love how Dalmi and Dosan always have a lot of sweet moments or “dates” while sitting on a bench. It’s their thing.

So cute Dalmi pouting and giving that small kisses to Saha. And Dosan at the back (I can just imagine what he is feeling). Our dear NGSB/best boy have no idea he will get his first real hot kiss on that day (more than just those small pouty kisses).

The way the plant comes back to haunt JP is how his avoidance of things he does not want to face like the fact that he’s jealous … which makes him avoid DM, comes back to haunt him.
He does not want to deal with matters that need to be ironed out with truth and honesty. He does not want to see himself for what he is.

CEO Won trying to play the step-dad card. Like you should regret not being my daughter, so I’m being nice by giving you a chance to get some of the goodies you missed by making such a bad decision. Won is mouthing off without caring how it affects DM. DS looks at her with concern.
DS sees that DM is offended and upset and does something very out of character. He smashes CEO Won’s name. A rejection of DM ever taking on Won’s surname.
Dosan’s eyes again… He is really feeling the pain of Dalmi and couldn’t take it anymore. I honestly don’t care what other people think or is saying about Dosan’s violent red flags. He did the right thing here. The stepdad was an ass!
DS to DM: “I’m sorry you gained an enemy because of me, but this is so wrong. I’ll become more influential than Won Du Jeong.”
He wants to earn more money than they lost. She kisses him to shut him up. because she was never just going into it for money. It was just a stop gap so that they could work on their own app. But she’s prepared to forego Won’s money of course.
DS is always so cute in the touchy feely scenes. He never knows where to put his hands with DM. Especially now when he has blood on them.

Do-San does something out of character indeed, but at the same time, he stands for Dal-Mi against to CEO Won’s mean words.

I think I wrote about this. The title of this episode was “Burn Rate.” JP was looking for the incombustible bag. Knowing the end, we can say that this was a hint of things to come. There was no burning love/combustible passion between them . They weren’t going to light up the world together. 🙂
And all she was ever going to get from him was a bag full of shit. (Remember the shitty things he said she was fired by Alex’s company?)

I’ve seen their kiss so many times already but same feels… The rooftop kiss is definitely one for the books! Hands down! Best kdrama kiss for me! Super hot and sexy but still pure at the same time (if you know what I mean).
Love how DM looks at the positive side of things despite it being a fiasco of a meeting. All the superficial stuff falls away and the real core is DM and DS together in a meeting of minds and err… lips LOL.

We get to hear the epilogue… which DS DM likes. She finds the grown up DS unfamiliar at times but it’s exciting. Still getting used to him. But there’s joy in the discovery of him and excitement like the excitement of the kettle whistling when it’s all hot and steamy LOL.
I like it that Dalmi took the lead here. The writer did it right. Dosan couldn’t be accused of jumping on her — on false pretenses — because it was Dalmi who was stirred emotionally, psychologically to kiss him.
So sad that JP cannot see his relationship with Grandma apart from that he owes her. He never thought of just giving her gifts because he loves her. He cannot see his relationship with DM or SST in any other way except as using each other, or being mentor-mentee. Just give for giving sake is not in his scope of knowledge.
Elmeoni try to get out of the mess she created step by step.
First, ask some question, feel the ground.
But dalmi answer is… there is still hope for JP.
Then, next scene go to JP with the plant and voice over.
Then, dalmi dosan kiss, while the voice over continue.

Any people liking JP because it’s a flawed character could hope he come back, and the DOsan-dalmi is unfair.
I remember the first time I saw this episode I was super shocked they had a loooong kissing scene this early. It actually came as a surprise and I was still super high tweeting and chatting with friends then the epilogue… SU has a way of giving us heart fluttering and heart shattering / roller coaster epilogues.

LOL! @Cleo So right!!! I liked that kettle going off (blowing off steam too!!!) at that time so that we didn’t hear DM’s answer before and got it at the epilogue. Their relationship had reached a stage where the water was hot enough to boil and the kiss was natural and inevitable.
@pkml3, I too liked that DM initiated the kiss. It was a gesture of support for DS who was feeling bad… she took away his need to apologise by both removing his ability to speak LOL and by showing that her love for him trumped the fiasco in the office.
I like this EP’s epilogue when although Dalmi told Grandma she would choose her first love, but the present Do-san makes her heart flutter in those few odd moments 🙂

What I like about the kiss scene is most how it come.
Dosan defend dalmi and take risk.
As it’s anger outburst, it sound true.
There is a link instantly created between the characters.
Dalmi see : he really understand me and know what make me suffer.
So, it’s like a irresistible force, she kiss him.
It’s not a long burn love kiss.
rather a sudden love kiss.
The kiss(es) were excellent!!! We got a 3 in 1! I think the kisses meet DM’s expectations. The aesthetics of the scene were also great with the skyline and sunlight, making it memorable. The first kiss did not have music, very raw and I like that it was initiated by DM. The 2nd/3rd has the music “Dream” which is their “sailing without a map” song. The pause that DS makes in between kisses to look into her eyes and smile make me swoon. Same with ep 15 kiss.

But I think there’s something about the delivery (perhaps the performance of Suzy?) that was a little flat. The way she said it could have been dreamier, more heart-fluttering, more enthralled and captivated about meeting this new Dosan.
Here, I felt like she was just saying the words like an afterthought.
There’s a subtle difference between speaking softly and murmuring a wish. The latter has more “air” or breathiness in the enunciation of the words.

And I like how Dosan apologized to Dalmi for losing his cool because he thought Dalmi would get mad at him for his outburst and spontaneous combustion.
He didn’t consider of what was at stake for the company; he just saw red because he saw cruelty towards Dalmi.
But afterwards, he promised Dalmi that he’d recoup their losses and repay her. He kept his word.

DS said that he knitted to calm himself. He looked amused when Dalmi described herself punching just like in the movies.
As it turned out he could rage like anybody else. He could slam on desks and shout when he was angry. And it was Dalmi who was calm and motionless when she was insulted by that Morning Group CEO.
He turned Tarzan in a heartbeat.

Yes, pm3 😉 There was a missing bit of dreaminess n fluttering in Suzy’s narration which at the very first time made me think that JP might still stand a chance then. Rewatching now I think Suzy could be excused as it was during a conversation w/Grandma (maybe there’s still mixed feelings) n Dosan’s fit of anger accident at Morning Grp had not yet happen.
Anyhow, the final Dalmi-initiated kiss scene made up for everything even for Suzy’s flat tone lol.

Suzy’s delivery made it sound like JP was still in the running when the highlight or key point of that conversation was that a new and delightful feeling was taking over and erasing her old feelings. Dosan was stirring up emotions in her, just like the heated water in the kettle reached boiling point.
But her delivery gave false hope to Team JP. 🙂
Oh well. It’s all water under the bridge now.
@2uke and @Pm3 – I think DM was still in the frame of mind that DS of letters and DS in person is the same, even if Grandma posits that what if they are 2 different people.
She is still attached to the letters (and hanging on to a childhood idealism of first love/crush) hence her comment that “he seems different which makes me sad”. But the event with the step dad and the rooftop kiss changed the game.
Remember that when she said that, they have not kissed yet so the full flutter (boiling point) in not there yet. I agree though her delivery could have been more convincing in differentiating her “first choice” vs the “flutter” feeling. This is the writer throwing another red herring for the undecided? The sequencing of the events confused me at first but seems deliberately done. I think it would be different answer if she was asked after the kiss.
What if she said that she chose the Dosan in person? Would that have weakened the perceived love triangle? Maybe or Maybe not. Even with the “aha” moment in the bean bags, DM has already chosen DS (and she knew about the fake letters by then) but other folks continue to ship DS+JP. Even until ep 16, their hope for a twist was there. LOL!
But I’m team Dosan from the start so I may be seeing it in a different light. 😉
