It’s just a silly parody. The kind of thing: you have an idea for a foolish joke, and it’s impossible to control! Jubilation. 🙂
Oh, I forgot: it started when I realized that I could copy and paste emoticons. So I randomly built a little story by choosing emoticons. Then I added a couple of lines that made a connection, so it magically made sense.
By the way, it didn’t copy exactly the ones I had chosen. There’s a format issue. I did a little research and found that the same emoticon can be different on different websites. It seems that the format of BOD is the same that twitter. Here:

The title is about elevator speech. JP missed his first opportunity to propose because Dalmi was down in the dumps after the hacker crisis.
I like how JP commiserated with Dalmi. What a far cry from him calling her an incompetent CEO.
JP is kinda mad and hurt that DoSan went there first and Dalmi didnt’ call him back as he asked her in Episode 13.
Hence his decision to talk to DoSan in the elevetor.
Well here’s JP late again. He looks upset that it was DS who came to the rescue. Because of this and because DM said to not let anyone know, and because she was humiliated that DS had seen her in a mess… JP did that elevator speech that I want to strangle him for.
Oh yes, I wanted to do something to his face!!! I’ll get that done after the show. I forgot!

This DM is a far cry from the one who decided to chase DS all the way to the back of beyond.
It’s funny because DS saw nothing here to think she should be humiliated. However chasing him to join the company was the really humiliating thing, and being rejected by him as well!!
After that time she knelt to get SH to join SST, she’s kept her word that she’ll do anything to get her company up and good.
Then the bunch of lies.

Thanks, Cleopatra. The flowers are appropriate. Hubby and I are driving to the beach but we’ll pass by a couple of gardens on the way to buy plants for the house. Was thinking of cosmos, daisies and zinnias.
Dalmi didn’t want Dosan to find her in such state of disarray. Not after she vowed that she’d worked herself to the bone to be Dosan’s “perceived” equal next time they met. That 2Sto fiasco really did a number on her confidence.
@WEnchanteur JP was really pushing buttons in this scene. He pushed elevator buttons, pushed DS, and pushes my buttons as well!!!
Now he makes that one phone call that is supposed to make everything alright, just because DM does not want to take any action to speak to DS. JP got away too easily!!
Here, the writer setup a misunderstanding/fake situation.
In old dramas, this kind of things can take 3 or 4 episodes to resolve.
Hoppefully, here it’s just one episode, or even half one.

Still, DalMi reacted like a baby. She should text DoSan to tell him that she was very tired to talk or something else.
She didn’t have to close her phone. Of course DoSan will be hurt more than before…
I just realised that DS outside the elevator, when he couldn’t reach DM also had “Follow your dream” on the farr wall. Now he sees the words on the baseball and realises that his dream of ‘a person’, DM might be truly gone. Throwing away that baseball was a great shame, and because JP gave a false impression.

It’s a personal and precious reason and she does not want to share it. Shows what the links to do with that car means to her.

The 3 SST guys are the best fit for Cheong Myeong Company, but it’s the most embarrassing hire for DM LOL.

@GB : set up injustice yes. and make a bad people manipulation work, so it’s unfair, and make suffer protagonists. Watch first 3 or 4 episode of “Stairway to heaven”, if you want an extreme version of this. Temptation of wife is good too. And tons of kdramas.
Writers use very well the mad-angry audience button.
About what pm3 say : DS could react in another way. But the way he react sound true. In “love in sadness” drama, there is a scene that make you mad. The bad SML enter the ML home with a unbelievable nerve. But the situation sound true. In real life, we don’t always have the instinct and quickness to know how to react when something beyond the civility happens. It’s just after the fact, we think, I should have done this or that. It depends of your personnality or how you feel at the moment. I know sometimes I can react fast and go in a fighting. But sometimes too, I get surprised because I’am too relax. But it’s because I’m balanced and can do both. Some people react less in a flash, and some people almost always react, violently if needed.
LOL DM does not realise that she’s putting down her company to her Mum and Grandma. They all turn against her to push her to make the right decision.

I agree with what @Packmule3 told before. DalMi feels inferior to DoSan and she made an awful decision based on what JP told her. Hence how DoSan will react in a few moments.
@Cleo @Ella Yes, the coming together of the circumstances made it seem like JP had spoken true to DS in the elevator, so DS rejected DM.
She wasn’t able to make a good elevator speech to the guys or to DS yet.
In Jae only now gets to hear about Grandma’s eyesight. Sad that she never asked after Grandma or went to visit her.
LOL both her daughters think Mum is hopeless in caring for others.

@GB, I think it’s better in kdramas because they have no limits and will insist loudly, very loudly on the injustices. It’s an old-school way of doing thing. Over-melodrama. It’s so much than modern western show don’t dare to do that, the audience won’t like it, as these show are unable to convey emotions. (but as I don’t watch anymore these shows, I can’t garanty 100%, I just think about shows I watched in the past). Like you, I would have to make effort if I want remember something about this.
The only time DS smiles and laughs is with the SST boys.

Tarzan was his secret love language that Dalmi shared with Dosan, she would not share that with anyone lol, if jp knew that, I don’t think he would be as quick to praise Tarzan, just like thinking that Dalmi like men with big hand in general LMAO

@Cleo, I believe it’s the 3rd time. Same comment and at the same time more or less.
Listening to DS rejecting DM, … however she had to be harsh with him because he was stuck in the loop of making her his dream and of not going further affield with his talents. So in a sense, it was a ‘bogging’ down if he stayed with her before. Therefore, what she said then, was in a sense, justifified. However of course he was hurt. So now he’s sort of giving it back.
“No, DS, you cannot erase the pain that easily LOL that White Board is going to remain with those plans on them to haunt you!”
JP hear the bad news, they will stay !
and say “it’s a good new”, lol

And now the beautiful part starts…
I like DS’s voiceover thoughts: He goes off to tire himself out… “To stop filling my sleepless nights with you.” This is DS’s unwritten letter to DM! He never wrote to her, but he spoke to her quite a bit in his mind, this episode.

For doing a rewatch like that, I need to rewatch a drama I know very much, let’s say Jang ok jung, I can hear your voice, W, memory of alhmabra or maybe few others. So a drama I already rewatched.

I love this part of the dialogue between DM and DS. In the end, they said very little, except about Tarzan. It wasn’t what was said that mattered… it was her sincerity in coming all the way, in the fact that she named the car Tarzan because of DS and she had a business plan which the guys totally lacked.

She said of his words on Tarzan: “It was cool. Just how much could it learn? The possibilities were endless.” (Can apply this to DS as the one who needs to learn.) “That’s why I named the car, Tarzan.”
“What about you? Why did you work with self-driving cars at 2STO?” (And he lied. But he came clean later.)
She didn’t know at this time that she’d already won him over with Tarzan. He was Tarzan and he was learning what to do in response.
A classic! Guy talk to his girl while she’s asleep.

DS had read the proposal, seen DM’s sincerity and the desperation in her eyes, and he reciprocated by elevating her on his back and carrying her across the bridge. It was a trip together to start anew on the other side of the bridge.
What a contrast with how the Shin Twin decided to join Won. It was out of “Sympathy” – Shin Twins joined Won because they were tired of being bossed around by a moron like he too was being bossed by his dad. What a pathetic reason. No Elevator Speech for them?
Nothing can change a person’s mind more easily than when you tell the truth despite everything. Good that JP redeems himself by telling YS the truth though it’s bitter for him.

Now I remember: when watching first time I got the meaning as I had enough concentration, but I forgot since then. It’s obvious Saha has a boring work right now and is ready for coming back to a exciting job.
If they come back together it’s 100% certain… and they can’t be more together than with DM on DS’s back and him wanting to buy into her company with his prize money. 110% LOL SO HAPPY!!!

I love that Show gave us the preview with DM entering the car and DS shown beside her, the Captain and the Co-Pilot. Actually I feel they totally complement each other and take turns to be Captain as and when necessary.

But as it’s a slice of life drama, I really have difficulty to enter this kind of content. It’s why I didn’t watched Narvillas too, because I know in addition, the pace is quite slow. But I’m not close minded, I watched Page Turner, a drama a bit like that, and it was a very good watch. What I don’t like ultimately is what is “boring”, and even slow dramas can be not boring. As one of my fav one “Sandglass”. Quite slow at some times, but with such authenticity and sharpness it’s not boring.

I’m glad we are continuing the rewatch with HP! I like rewatching and sharing that with a community makes it 10x better. I was in and out today as I had a zoom meeting reunion.
2 more episodes!!! Start Up has one of the most satisfying endings, the love story wraps up in ep15 and we have time to enjoy the couple and other characters and their business success in ep 16. See you all next week…

I’m sorry I missed the re-watch. It was probably my favourite episode of all – such a turn in the tide of the relationships; opportunities that had been squandered were revisited and rectified; the OTP realising that they were complementary in many ways. Plus the percentages. 🤓 And it was done so well, without it being actually stated. Just there where we could see it an appreciate it. Bravo.
