I opened this thread for you, @Agdr03 and @Fern. I hope the other Yang Yang fans will join you. (Not the crazy ones, though.)
Go on and watch without me. I’ll try to catch up when I get home from our vacation.
This is the reason I can’t move past the first minute of this show: Yang Yang’s profile.
It’s a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a handsome profile, must be studied meticulously.
I like that we see just his silhouette, his black hair and black clothes blending in with the darkness. I like that only a sliver of his face is shown in the light. I like that he stands out in sharp relief against the glittering background. It’s fitting that he seems carved from the shadows as he waits for the verdict. The decision of the scientific delegation determines the future of his career: whether his ambitious project stays in darkness or finally sees the light of day.
So yeaaaaah. I wasn’t ogling obsessively at him for no good reason.
I was also meditating on the very great pleasure (and lunacy, lol) which the face of a handsome man can bestow.
More pics from the second minute.
As you can tell, it’ll take me ages to analyze a single episode because I’m distracted by every camera shot of his face. 🤤😂 I wish he wore a paper bag over his head.
Enjoy the show!!!

If you want to read the novel, here’s the link to the site that translated it. Full credit to the owner. Lurkers, don’t plagiarize this. It’s her/his hard work.
LOL @pkml3. No, no, if paper bag and Yang Yang’s face got together, the bag would become too handsome!
Nothing can hide the beauty!
I love the honesty and the paper bag (the brown ones?)! 🤩😂
Kumawo! 🙇🏻♀️🍪🍪🍪
Yes, the beginning showed that he has a couple of issues that he’s dealing with.
He’s profile won’t change, it’ll just get more better and more addictive. 🥰
Hahaha, thank you for opening the thread. This drama totally giving lots of pleasant gifts to his fan. I don’t know how many times I did rewatch episodes 1-12 since the launching day.
Gosh, he’s aging well, too. Thank you, @packmule3 and bon voyage. So far, like @cikrahmah, I’ve re-watched some parts of 1-12. As they say around here, the show is pretty ‘moreish’. What’s more, the leads seems very comfortable and unforced.
I’m only sporadically watching this but after 3 episodes, I was struck by how the tables had turned. Yu Tu in school didn’t have time for Jing Jing who wanted his help. She’d been average in intelligence, although pretty, while he had been brilliant. He didn’t think she’d be much of a contributor if they had to work together.
Great things had been expected of him. However, although he’d supposedly fulfilled his dream to enter into aeronautics, he became a cog in the wheel, unknown and not particularly well paid (from what we gather in conversation).
By contrast, Jing Jing, through her good looks and amiable personality, had become the face that was everywhere. She was probably making somewhat more money from her endorsements than Yu Tu from his salary.
When Yu Tu is tricked into going all the way to her home, he has to pass billboard/poster after billboard/poster projecting the image of the beautiful face of Jing Jing at him, which he still ignored, only to be confronted with the real Jing Jing, whom he can no longer ignore. To add insult to injury, the average girl had tricked the brilliant Yu Tu into coming all the way to her home, not to fix her air purifier, but to become her gaming coach.
Credit must also be given to YT for not getting annoyed at JJ’s deceit, especially as it showed up that his brilliance did not extend to deciphering truth from lies. What he thought she’d lied about was actually the truth ie she really was participating in the gaming competition. What she’d lied about he’d believed, LOL ie he thought she lived with her parents, but she didn’t (he really had no clue about the entertainment industry). Still he took it in good grace and agreed to help her.
Once he starts to take a walk with JJ, YT finds that he can no longer go around without covering his face as well. On his own he already shone and attracted attention, but with her beside him, the brilliance drew too many eyes. So JJ had succeeded in bringing YT not only all the way to her home, but also into her world. Un beknownst to him, he was starting the walk into a world of showmanship and competition, where to a large extent, the image mattered more than the brain. Perhaps some of this would rub off to help him in his career as well.
I like how they are able to act with their masks on… so much went on through just their eyes.
I agree. These characters shows their emotions through the eyes. The fact that they look so natural also adding up our interest. Sometimes tired of forcing scenes in Cdrama (but keep watching, haha).
And yes, there is always more to watch, the unspoken feelings, vibe. So, I rewatch again and again just for these insight. Cannot help, with these visuals. Haha
Indeed. There is more to dig in every episodes.
Btw, QJJ character reminds me of Yeo Ha Jin from Find Me In Your Memory (Kdrama). A strong fresh character who brighten up the hero’s world.
No way. How can I plow through 1001 eps? 😂. I hope you’re being facetious.
Ha! Finally a thread I can get behind!
While I wait for HP Season 2 to complete so I can choose to watch it, I saw that You are my Glory was scheduled, I binged all episodes available 😅.
So I’m a fan of this story, having read it a few years ago when Love O2O came out.
Impressions so far:
Casting:
I feel Yang Yang suits the image of a handsome rocket scientist, Yu Tu to a Tee, but I do wish he emoted a bit better in the first two episodes. It does get better though..
Dilraba also suits the image of QJJ to a tee. I find that I like both of them together, they do feel like a pair of acquaintances who have great chemistry.
The story:
Im going to keep this to a few episodes because I don’t know how far ahead people have watched.
I love the story. If Love O2O was all about the campus hottie, YAMG is a good reflection of what life looks like 10yrs out of college.
P.S : I do think one could screenshot every second where Yang Yang appears and still not get a bad picture.
@Growing Beautifully, I like your thought that the tables have been turned. I think that if we can believe that YT’s wage is unimpressive, even for an engineer, JJ’s huge big-name endorsements probably earn her several times over. -That is before her earnings as an actress. But it’s the entertainment industry and we all know how fragile the survival rate is.
I liked how JJ disarms him immediately. If this were a normal drama, the ML would have become all grumpy and flustered that he was fooled. Instead YT is intrigued by her and how she managed to get him there. As soon as she leaves to get a warmer outfit, he checks her IDs and backgrounds and sees the similarities.
She gives him a mask to wear – it’s both a precaution and a compliment to his looks. It puts them on equal footing. Then she shows that she endorsed his product. Why? To support the motherland’s aerospace industry. She may not be academic, but she is clever, thoughtful and organised. It makes him smile. He can see that he won’t be bored with her.
She says that she won’t be looking for another teacher if he can’t do it. Finally she says that she trusts him. ‘Because he is her classmate’, and then she gives him a huge grin that we can see through the mask. He stares at her and recalls that at school he rather churlishly didn’t even help her with math even though she offered him a meal as payment. He agrees to help her now, and willingly.
I like the difference in their postures at the end of this scene. He is still in an upright adult mode (asking if it’s appropriate with her parents there); she lopes off swinging both arms like a delighted child.
I thought this scene was really well directed to show the dynamics of their budding friendship. He was out-manoeuvred but seems to admire it. She was cheeky but honest when it was important. Probably he thinks it’s a payback that she deserves and a short term project for him during his break. It is a challenge that he accepts.
@nrllee, not quite 1001 episodes. She’s not Scheherazade. Wait, maybe she is. Please come along on this journey. The scenery is wonderful.
Thank you @Fern for summarising the method and action of JJ at her first meeting with YT after so many years. What she may not have in schoolishness, she more than makes up for in her street smarts and knowing how to disarm the churlish YT. If he’d had more of her charm, he might have risen in the ranks of the aerospace industry by now LOL.
You’re so right about their ending postures. JJ is like a happy child who’ll soften the rigid YT. That’s the show we want to watch!
Squee!!! I binged the first 12 episodes and I love it. Xie xie @PM3!!!
The romance is slow burn and the backdrop is life and career after high school and college. YY does the genius guy to a T but I like that in this drama, he is not the fully accomplished person at the pinnacle of career and money that one expects at his age. He is currently struggling and taking a break from work to make life changing decisions. He was so morose for most of ep1-2 until he meets QJJ in person again… He cracked that beautiful smile! She got the better of him about the purifier. Hah!
One way to distract from YY’s chiseled profile is to focus on the subtitles. It was tough to understand the game technicalities but I’m fine, I then shift the attention to the actors.
Diralba is pretty good at playing QJJ. It’s my first time to watch her. Her character is not the cookie cutter stereotype actress but turning out to be a good anchor for Tu Yu. She has high EQ, quite charming without the saccharine. She is quite clever and mischievous, too. TY is definitely disarmed. I love the pairing of 2 beautiful people. I would like to see how she became an actress and more of her backstory.
I plan to rewatch some of the episodes and will note what I like. What I find striking is the life of QJJ – she can’t go out much, her assistant gets most of her stuff done because of that. She’s mainly holed in her home, which is very nice but also kind of lonely. I can just imagine the parallel to YangYang’s real life as a superstar. The price of fame can sometimes be too much?
I’ve noticed Cdramas with Shanghai as location often shows The Bund and Huangpo river. I miss these views and love seeing them here. I lived in Shanghai for a short time for work many years ago and my temporary place had this wonderful view of the river although it was on the other side vs QJJ’s building. I hope I can travel back there again.
Thank you so much for creating this thread, this is where I will camp out for the remainder of the drama. After what seemed like a long wait for this to start broadcasting in the much anticipated summer slot, it’s pretty much confirmed to be the biggest hit this summer nearing 800 million views in the first week.
Like many people, I have been wishing for a Yang Yang Dilireba pairing for years and it finally came true. He actually said he didn’t want to do more modern romance dramas after LoveO2O and stuck with that plan for years until this gem came along and with the perfect co-star. This has been Yang Yang’s much awaited modern romantic drama comeback and a character made for Dilireba at the peak of her career. What’s even more perfect is Gu Man the writer of this as well as LoveO2O was in charge of the script and the director also directed Le Coup de Foudre which I loved. Couldn’t have come up with a better team to make this possible. My eyes have been blessed with their beautiful faces as well as the gorgeous cinematography (can’t wait to see what they do with the desert scenes).
The novel fans have been rejoicing at how true it is to the original. As someone who has not read the novel and am struggling waiting an entire 4 days for new episodes, I don’t know whether I should just read the whole thing to get myself excited for upcoming scenes or surprise myself while watching the drama. It’s hard to be on social media and not come across people who already know the story well talk about future scenes they are excited for.
For those who are not familiar with the game, it’s the highest grossing mobile game in the world known as Honor of Kings within China and Arena of Valor outside China. The game is owned by Tencent and that is probably why there are so many gaming sequences throughout the drama, it’s a win win for a company that both created the game and the drama. At one point everyone and their parents were playing this game on their phones in China so there are probably a lot of things that are easily understood by the target audience of the drama, but leaves everyone else pretty much clueless. I’m just looking forward to the development of their relationship after the competition.
Oh btw, I believe Yu Tu makes a normal government worker’s salary, and that’s why it’s hard for most of his friends who are in finance to understand why he’d “waste” his intelligence for so little return. If he was an engineer at a top tech company then he would be making several times what he is currently making.
In contrast top stars in China make ridiculous amounts of money. Besides the endorsements which are huge based solely on how big China’s market is, there have been many complaints regarding how much they can make to film each episode of a drama. There were rumors going around that the salary of the A-list leads of a big budget drama can make up to 70% of the total production cost thus leaving little for everything else that is crucial for creating a good drama. They also try to make these dramas as long as possible to get more advertising bucks. Recently however, they are trying to put a cap on both actor’s salaries and # of episodes for dramas in China.
@dramaluvr, thank you for the explanation of the salaries. I had been wondering. I can imagine that a government salary may be on a strict scale depending on years worked and rank as it is in many countries, but it still seemed to me that an aerospace engineer would make a comfortable salary. Not, however, comparable to private industry or that of a successful investment banker. I’m sure that endorsements by actors and idols are hugely lucrative as well. Thanks for explaining. This would mean that JJ would be raking in the money, since her face is everywhere at the moment. One can only hope she’s saved some of it well.
I tried to find a copy of the novel in English translation to take away on a trip, but it doesn’t seem to exist in hard copy. Oh, well. Maybe it will be translated after the drama completes.
I’ve watched through episode 12. Having never seen your all beloved Yang Yang act, I had pretty high expectations—he really is great! Incredibly handsome and somehow not totally blank faced. I tried to watch Dilraba in love designer but I just never could get into it and dropped quickly. She has completely surprised me. I’m usually not one for toothy grins but when she smiles here it seems like pure sunshine. Very disarming and enchanting.
I usually go into watching Cdramas through a certain viewing lense—not expecting much and usually pretty heavy handed with the ffwd button but this seems to be much higher than the bar I’ve set.
I didn’t know I’d be so interested in the questions it’s posed thus far.
What is success?
Why are we given certain talents and abilities and how best to monetize our dreams.
Is it right for people who seem to do such easy jobs like influencers, gamers, actors etc… to make such ridiculous amounts of money while brilliant engineers, govt worked and educators make much less???
I like how her agent/manager answered her question on what she’s worth and I like that she’s questioning it herself. The money is there for the taking and it’s going to go in someone’s pocket so why not hers? She can choose how to distribute it. All for herself or to charities and causes or funding start ups etc…
And he has this great brain and his parents gave him every opportunity they could but how can he help them without making the kind of money they expected him to..is he letting them down? Is he not living up to expectations? Whose expectations?
@birdie007, I like your reflections on the definition of success in this drama. It reminded me that YT described himself as ‘frivolous’ in his early 20s. – While getting 2 degrees, a doctorate and a job in the national space agency? I wondered if he meant that he was working towards and living his dream instead of looking at the larger picture?
Now he has met with 2 groups of friends – the financial group and the aerospace group. Some are more polite than others, but along with parents and teachers he is considered selfish either for staying with the ‘higher cause’ of aerospace or for leaving it in the pursuit of money and more free time.
I liked in episode 8 that JJ said he would do well in investment banking, too, if that was his choice. She seemed to be stepping back and supporting him unconditionally. But in episode 9 after the horrific dinner with his professor, she said that she wanted him to stay in aerospace, too. That reminded me that she had a former boyfriend in finance. She thought that ex was ‘conceited’ if I recall correctly. I suppose JJ was being honest but it worried me that she had expectations of YT as well. Wouldn’t that add to his burden? I will have to re-watch that bit.
I just watched Ep. 13. It is excellent. But I think the server exploded before I could load Ep. 14. Too much Yang Yang in the last seconds. 🤩😁
@fern, hahaha.
The gaming scene in episode 14 is very good. I love how YT helps QJJ shine. She got to play her fav hero, Baili Shaoyue in the game!
YAMG hits 1 billion views today, yeah!
@fern
JJ just said she wants him to be an aerospace engineer more than anyone else. She wants him to keep pursuing his dreams, as a “rabbit that has seen more stars”.
By the way, can anyone explain on the sentence? I think it is from a quote or Chinese idiom. Thanks.
@cikrahmah, 1 billion views! No wonder the system went a bit wobbly.
About that quote, JJ said it was from a weibo account but I think you are right – it may have a backstory. It must have to do with the rabbit in the moon?
The teamwork and strategy was very good and made up for any lack of skills in the Good Luck team.
@cikrahmah
I just saw a first impression video by AvenueX about that quote. She said it’s hard for international fans to get that part without an explanation. Apparently Jade Rabbit is an actual moon landing explorer named after a folklore character that China sent up to the moon. It was supposed to operate for 6 months, but ended up working for 2 years. It also had its own social media account sharing images from the moon. Its last social media post was that it’s out of service and have to say goodbye, but “I am a rabbit that has seen the most stars.” It shows that Jingjing at least somewhat follows aerospace news and used just the words to comfort Yu Tu. Also the Tu in his name sounds a lot like rabbit in Chinese (although it’s a different tone) so I guess this that is why his gaming username is jade rabbit.
Brilliant explanation, @dramaluvr. Many thanks. Didn’t we see a miniature landing explorer – was it in his house or in the house of his friend?
Just finished watching uptown 16. I can’t believe it missed out on beating Eternal Love Of Dream to 1B by a day! But I guess this still counts as a big hit, given that it’s competing against the Olympics!
@dramalur: Yes! That explanation is amazing! I wouldn’t have got those references if I hadn’t read the novel before. It feels like one of those quotes everyone in China would know just like everyone knows ” One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”
@Fern: The miniature explorer was in Yu Tu’s house I believe.
@birdie007: I agree. I had only watched yang Yang in Love020 and didn’t like him in the first two episodes much, but I really think he acts well now. I could totally feel Yu Tu’s dejection and resignation esp in latest episodes.
I was watching on Dramacool/Kissasian. The last half of both episodes 15 and 16 had synching problems with the translation. They were ahead of the words/action by about 30 seconds or so. I can only guess that it was due to the advertisement half-way through. Rather frustrating.
Howdy!
Thanks for that explanation @dramaluvr! Really appreciate it! ☺️
I’m updated up to episode 16 and my gosh! Yu Tu’s impressive cutting off there for the ex girlfriend should have cut her heart like mince. 😬 Something like ‘I went out with you because I knew you’re intelligent and very capable. But I didn’t think to love you because of that and you showed me again how smart you are because you broke up with me’. Nasty! 🔪 🔪🔪
Yu Tu said to Jingjing that she has her brilliant world and he has his and that they’re not meant to be. Why the single drop of tear then? I felt so bad for Jingjing. 😢 She took up that courage to ask him, gutsy girl! 👏🏻
Yu Tu, it’s like this ok 🌝 and ⭐️. He should listen to his Professor. 😁
I can’t wait when he decides to pursue Jingjing! I loved the match and how it was played and that slow motion of Yu Tu going to the stage. 🥰
@agdr03, thank you for the advice. I changed servers and it worked.
What an intense scene in the cafe with his ex-girlfriend. YT tells his ex Xia Qing she’s out of order trying to get back into his good graces. I think his nasty response was because she brought up JJ and was trying to pry about their relationship and he perceived that she was feeling competitive about it. He asked his housemate if he had let slip about JJ being tutored and the housemate said no, so he knew that his XQ had done research on JJ herself. Once she had mentioned JJ, he could no longer believe his ex’s change of heart about his choices for his profession.
We saw how proud both girls were by his achievements in school. Why is one girl ahead of the other? At first, XQ was accepted by YT for a practical reason – they were well matched academically and competitively. He thought they would be good together. Both perfectionists, as XQ’s friend said neither of them was good at compromise. But as time went on the relationship didn’t deepen into love for YT, especially when XQ wanted to change him. JJ, on the other hand, seems to like and admire YT just as he is. He was cautious with her at first, but JJ shows that she is very genuine, also hard working and clever in her own way.
I think he was sad because he felt comfortable and appreciated for himself around YT but his self-esteem is very low because of the conflicts he has had about his parents and his future earnings. Yes, his professor is really blunt and insensitive in many ways, but YT will come around to his point of view – soon, I hope. YT knows that he has hurt JJ with his second rejection. He gave his point of view but couldn’t ask her how she felt about the situation.
He is brooding, haggard with lack of sleep and even distraught at the end of ep. 16, but the camera still loves him. I want to see his happy face again.
@Fern, yes when the ex brought all this information about high school and Jingjing’s life as a celebrity, Yu Tu knew what’s she’s on about and so the cut off.
He misses her now and that last scene, we can just give him a hug. 🙁 He’s second rejection must have hurt Jingjing more too. He definitely needs Jingjing for him to smile again.
I’m just loving this cdrama a lot. 🙂
@dramaluvr thanks a lot for the explanation. Yes, heard about rabbit on the moon so many times, now I know why. No wonder in later episode (ep 18) the team in the desert spend their free time to look for the rabbit on the moon.
It’s so satisfying to see him suffer…that is all. It literally takes a village to knock some sense into this boy.
@cikrahmah, gosh, JJ even had bling-y rabbit earrings on to support him. She clearly had thought about seeing him up close at the contest. I had to laugh – bling for her – matches her name, and rabbit for him and his name.
Yang Yang’s character’s name is Yu2 Tu2. His game handle name is Jade Rabbit Pounding Elixer yu4 tu4 dao3 yao4. Jade Rabbit is a phonetic play on his name. The folk lore is Jade Rabbit makes medicine/elixer, and is a companion to the moon goddes, Chang2 e2. I learned this from watching the animated movie, “Over the Moon” on Netflix.
Thanks for the info, @Fan of TKEM.
I’m having trouble understanding the game. lol.
I’ve only watched the three free episodes on YouTube. I’ve watched all of the free clips that Tencent has released. Regarding episode 16, where Xia Qing (ex-girlfriend) is opining how showbiz is a complicated industry, how there are bad people in the entertainment business, and speculating that the reason Qiao Jing Jing was able to succeed and become famous was that “she must have sacrificed a lot.” XQ is throwing heavy shade at Qiao Jing Jing! XQ is implying that QJJ must have slept her way up the entertainment success. You can see there is a shot of YT’s right hand clenching into a little fist becuase he just couldn’t take the dirty words, and he throws some shade back at XQ.
@Fan of TKEM, I didn’t like her character. She always had assumption and negative thoughts on others. YT words, Ace! haha
I can’t believe it’s been 16 months since The King Eternal Monarch drew me to your website and to this community! It was through your website (thanks for having this website packmule3!) and fans’ comments that got me into Love O2O, which both the TV series (good) and movie (okay) are still available on Netflix. I went on a rabbit hole and read four of Gu Man’s English translated web novels. (Side note: Yes, I noticed the crystal rabbit earrings QJJ was wearing. She wore a white rabbit purse in episode 3 when they went out for a walk. The trailer for episode 21 shows her wearing that white rabbit purse. I am enjoying the rabbit references.)
If anyone is looking for English translation of YAMG web novel, it’s here: https://hui3r.wordpress.com/2017/12/21/youre-my-glory-chapter-1/
This fan translation site has translated other Gu Man web novels.
The YAMG web series is following very well to the web novel, and it is more robust and better than the novel’s storyline(s). YT’s character in the novel is a smoker which grosses me out. Yang Yang has been able to present a broader point of view for YT and has been able to showcase more depth that his novel counterpart. The web novel is very short (37 chapters with 16 Epilogue chapters), so this web series is going to have all the epilogue chapters which I’m looking forward to see! For reference – episode 16 is equivalent to web novel chapter 30.
packmule3 – I have no idea on the King of Glory/Honor of King Tencent game. My brain glazes over those parts, which is a lot of the first half of the series. I learned a lot about gaming from Memories of the Alhambra and from Love O2O.
Thank you so much for the link to the English translation of the book, @Fan of TKEM!
@Fan of TKEM, I realised that Xia Qing was putting JJ down, but I didn’t realise that she implied that she was sleeping her way to her high position. No wonder Yu Tu didn’t mince words with her. Thank you for that explanation.
I didn’t realise until Ep. 17 that YT’s online name hadn’t changed since high school. Silly me. The translation I’ve seen didn’t make it obvious and I only realised when he was looking back at the conversations that he had saved on his old computer.
This is why a rewatch is necessary especially if you’re reading subs and it’s quick and there’s a lot. Thank you @Fan of TKEM! That’s a great comeback from Yu Tu then! Love it! 👍🏻
Between thinking of his parents, figuring out if his staying or not as an aerospace engineer and being busy with work at the time, he admitted then that he couldn’t handle it. But his liking the thought that everyone thinks he’s got a girlfriend. 🥰
I just finished watching episode 18. Was Yu Tu going to write pros and cons of having Jingjing as his girlfriend on that notebook? 😆 But I think he’ll end up writing her letters of how his days went.
I felt he was relieved when the other colleague figured out the problem on the rover. It lifted his spirit in a way that he’s not alone in trying to solve the problem.
I felt too that he was caught off guard when Jingjing gave him her mobile phone after the match in episode 13. The shot of the phone being put in his hand and the way he looked back at Jingjing. I mean it’ll be like that when they get together but he’ll be happy then to just be on the background for her. ☺️
Back to rewatch!
@agdr03, I wasn’t sure how to interpret her handing her phone to him in episode 13. On one hand, she trusts him with it. On the other hand, she’s dashing off to some more urgent duty and is dumping her phone on whomever is nearest. I think it depends on how he feels about it, and I think that once the game was over, he felt a bit abandoned or insignificant in the whirlwind of events. If she had said to him again how much it meant to her to win and to have his help doing that, it would have been good but it didn’t happen. Her agent only said to him that her contract was renewed, which meant that he could have felt a bit used at that moment. He was left all alone in the Green Room – couldn’t even leave because his coat was left in his chair in the audience. That car ride afterwards when he didn’t make any eye contact with her was really uncomfortable.
I’ve seen the later episodes now and see that he didn’t blame her as much as the difference in their situations which had become obvious. At the desert base, he did like the thought that people believed he had a girlfriend. He didn’t deny it, but also didn’t explain to more than one person that he was listening back to old voice messages. It nearly seemed to me that he could implicate local lady by letting others believe that he was currently getting breakfast for or from someone.
Yes, I thought that YT was preparing a bit of a pros and cons chart about JJ. Such an engineer thing to do. (Perhaps he had done it with his ex?) But he couldn’t fit her into a chart, could he?
I love that he’s going LOW tech and writing letters by snail mail. I think this is the result of Guan Zai and Shen Jing’s opinions because in the phone call, Guan said, ‘My wife has another idea.’ Although we don’t hear the other observation, I would imagine that it was something like ‘It’s not the time and distance that are hardest to handle, it is the lack of communication or feeling that the one left behind is not present in the mind of the one who is far away.’ I can’t wait to see what JJ thinks about the letters.
@fan of TKEM. THANK YOU!!!!
I read it this afternoon and now I’m even more excited for the coming episodes. Sometimes it’s nice just to bask in sweetness and light that still manages to be engaging and feel fresh.
According to what’s been shown up to episode 18, they seem to be going along with the book almost verbatim. I think I’ll be able to enjoy watching the rest without holding my breath waiting for it to suck 😉
@Fern, thanks for the explanation. You’ve put it better in my head how it might have been for Yu Tu after being left alone after the game while waiting for Jingjing.
True, we didn’t hear what Guan’s wife said but I’m sure you’re right about the letters, communication is the key so I like that he wrote letters to Jingjing. ☺️
I’m going to read the book too, thank you @Fan of TKEM.
Howdy! So I’m on Yang Yang mode and I decided to rewatch LoveO2O and I feel like it’s been retouched and resubbed.
It’s so much clearer and the subs is different, for example remember when Xiao Nai picked up WeiWei from the gathering and they knew then she’s beauty and brains?
WeiWei asked Xiao Nai if he won’t get upset if she cheated on him. The sub before was something like if the branch falls off an inch, he’d move the tree? Something like that. But now the subs is this ‘If you lose your faith, I’d restore it for you. If you completely lose all faith, I’ll convert you again.’
I’m like, wow! Again 🥰😂 It just feels so good. Anyway I just wanted to share that. ☺️ I went back to read the last post here and oh the book was hotter than the drama. 😍😂
I read that last post as well. Blimey! The wedding dress scene…
I haven’t done fast track, but I’ve seen some things and…..Oh My Lord. I don’t think I’m ready.
@dramaluvr, I can’t wait to see the next episodes. I have seen some instagram clips. (Thank you, @agdr03!) I think the show includes everything in the book and also expands on it.
Joining you all in this show…slowly! First time watching these actors and curious about Yangyang you all raved about. Looks like it is still being broadcast hope to catch up soon!
Hello, Grace. I haven’t seen this week’s episodes yet because I’m away from home and the internet is weak. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen so far. I’m a bit of a YY fan like @agdr03.
I’m hooked. Fun to see how they handle color. Sad Yu Tu was all in black. Happy Yu Tu wears grey and cream with his black. Progress! True love will be when Yang Yang wears lip gloss. They’re totally believable as a couple in love. If being entertained is the goal – 10!!.
Hmmm @Fern, I feel you’re almost to @Phoenix, Queen and my level of liking wuri Yang Yang. 😉
@Grace and Good Twin, I’m sure you’ll both enjoy the drama. It’s a light and cute drama. I liked that the FL was able to get the man that she’s always liked. ☺️
🤣 @agdr03, I will never be at the same level as you, @Phoenix and Queen. 🤣🤣 You are several years ahead of me in the YY Appreciation Class; I’m just hanging on your coat tails.
Nah! I can feel it @Fern, after watching YAMG, you’ll be a certified Yang Yang addict like us. 😉😂
Haha, agree with @agdr03. Waiting to welcome @Fern into the universe.
I am addicted since Love O2O. Watching TKA, cannot stop myself from rewatching again and again until now. Even forcing my brother to watch it. Haha
His acting is improving a lot! Yu Tu is daebak.
AHHHHH they are too cute when they get together, can’t wipe this stupid smile off my face. This is definitely going into my comfort drama vault for future viewings.
@dramaluvr and @cikrahmah, okay, I have caught up with all subbed episodes so far where I am. YT and JJ are pretty amazing together and very believable. He is getting as mischievous as she is. He is such a fast learner. I loved when they met their respective parents and when YT’s ex-housemate dished on him by facetime with her.
I have to go find wifi and then download episodes of the shows I watch. Usually I delete ASAP to make more room. After binge reading all the chapters/epilogues and seeing how they’re bringing it to life, I know I’ll be saving episodes 22-32 for a while. A long while. 😉
Thanks @agdr03 & @fern! I’m only at episode 10! And this is my first YangYang show I’ve watched because I dropped the other shows King’s Avatar and Love020, I don’t know why. I am not especially drawn to gaming esp esports type because I totally do not understand all the strategy thing. What’s with YY and gaming shows? 😛 I might go back and pick up where I left off with those dramas.
What captivated me here the beautiful JJ’s house…and the idea of salary, dreams and family. JJ talked about how she and her ex-bf fell out because of family’s expectations, YT talked about being able to support his parents with his income.
I like how JJ’s nick name, i forgot if it’s in the game or weibo or QQ that’s called 闪闪发光 which means to sparkle and shine, which is what she does as a celebrity and I’m sure to YT as well.
Even though I have not been posting, I am watching (and rewatching) YAMG – it’s a struggle to find episodes with English subs (and visible subs also). I’ve even noted my own episode summaries so that I know the contents for any rewatch (with the scenes that I like!). Anyhow, I love the show and I can’t believe that we are in the last week (raw episodes at least). The storyline is very relatable – the pressure to be successful, family and others expectations vs personal dreams, what does true equal partnership means in a romantic relationship, taking care of your health and importance of a good work-life balance.
YY and Dilraba are very convincing in their roles. Their interactions show strong connection – high EQ and high IQ is great combo, both are trainable and fast learners too! Their love story progression was natural and swoon worthy, lots of sweet moments. I like this so much more than Love020. I like to see an unsure Yangyang from time to time!
Thanks for the novel link, will dive into that once the series in done.
@janey. Yes to the IQ and EQ and the show’s appreciation for both.
I think the text conversation they had about facing ‘failures’ in their job and how they comforted each other was beautiful. I wish I had the dialogue to transcribe.
I’m taking my sweet time and trying to savor each episode so the highlight of my summer does not end too quickly, but I’ve been glued to Twitter and seeing all the people who are having a hard time letting go after watching to the end. Got a little teary eyed looking at all the spoiler gifs and video clips. Something historic happened today…when it was time to release the new episodes, all the people lined up with money in their hands to purchase fast track found out that they crashed the Tencent Video/WeTV servers both in China and internationally. Guess they invited too many people to the wedding.
I have been anticipating this drama since they announced the Yang Yang + Dilraba pairing, a dream pairing of mine. It’s been a long journey, from them being super awkward with each other at awards ceremonies, people complaining they have no chemistry when the first clips came out, their fans fighting over whose name comes first until now with the drama coming to a close. It has far exceeded my expectations, and their relationship is absolutely beautiful, kuddos to Gu Man for creating another great iconic couple. The whole production team made this such a visual feast and a joy to watch.
I don’t know how one simply moves on. Not sure if anyone here has been following their promotions, but they really said from the beginning that they would not do any CP promotions (probably to not rile up their fans) and what did they do? an almost daily onslaught of CP promotions. It’s gotten to the point where YangDi couple is ranked #3 on China’s CP ranking chart with the top 10 dominated by male/male pairings. Glory couple (YuTu/JingJing) are only ranking in the low 30’s. I think I’ve been having more fun following them posting each others’ childhood pics, and watching flirty variety appearances and live streams than the drama itself. Their last big promotional shocker celebrating Chinese Valentines Day over the weekend in Shanghai Disneyland watching the fireworks together and sharing all their lovey dovey date pictures with us. I know its Tencent last big push to earn that fast track cash, but they’ve been fostering so many fans hoping they’d go from reel to real. At least with Yu Tu and Jingjing, I can rewatch many times, but it’s kind of hitting me that I will probably no longer see such cute Yang Yang + Dilraba interactions. Here’s to hoping drama gods will get them to work together again, but You Are my Glory is truly hard to beat.
@Birdie – is that when YT said he did not accomplish anything and JJ said he is already a rabbit that has seen most stars? That’s ep7. They also had some during their long distance relationship – when she has to do retakes in shooting? I think it’s ep24.
Hi @Dramaluvr – same here, I will probably have bad hangover of YAMG! Even now, I’m already rewatching eps. I have a couple of questions – what does CP stand for and what is fast track with money?
@Janey
CP just means couple, China is pretty big on shipping couples, whether it be on screen or off screen, so much so that that they have actual popularity rankings and a male/female one breaking into the top 10 is not easy.
Fast Track is just a feature Tencent uses to make more money from impatient viewers. I’m not sure where you guys all watch this drama, but this is a Tencent produced drama so the main platform to watch it on is Tencent Video (Wetv.vip website or the WeTV app for international viewers). Free users have access to up to episode 20 as of today, VIP users that pay by the month or annually can watch up to 26 and then fast track is an option for VIP to pay per additional episode so everyone that already finished watching today paid per episode from 27-32 which was what crashed their server. All the spoilers I have been seeing on Twitter are from viewers who paid for fast track and finished watching already, and there are a lot of them.
@janey I was talking about the conversation in ep 24
@dlvr—any particular YouTube clips with English subs you’d recommend? I’d love to see their non scripted interaction
@birdie @dlvr – I use Dramacool and with English sub is up to ep24. I struggle on some episodes though since the English words are put on top of the Chinese characters so it’s hard to see sometimes. I downloaded the Tencent video app (no WeTV app in US), there’s payment for VIP for ep21 onwards but I wasn’t sure if English subtitles are on time so I’m just waiting. Ep27 is still preview right now. Looks like we cannot fast track in the US for those coming in this week. There are also some differences on the translations. One thing that’s nice on the Tencent app are previews and BTS and other YAMG related promo videos. But not everything has subs either. I also check on YT if there are any available.

Thanks for the YT links @dramaluvr!
@Janey I subscribed to Tencent in the US and English subs are available the same time it is made available to view. I watched the raw version of 25 and 26 on dramacool before they were availble on Tencent. It was fun to see what they were actually saying versus what I thought they were saying. I thought he was negotiating to get her in the bedroom. But is was more subtle and flirty than that once translated. 😂
Yes I’m watching on Tencent in US also. I’m not sure how the translations compare but I know it’s very close to the English translation of the novel I read. I’m hoping they release 4 episodes on Wednesday so I don’t have to wait until next Monday for the last two.
I am also excitedly waiting for the new episodes to come out!! The episodes get so so sweet towards the end. YT’s refuelling kiss was so 🔥
Somebody said that there are 30 kisses in the drama. They actually counted? There were so many? 😅😅 I am also waiting eagerly for the rest of the episodes to come up. I actually heard this on radio today that rumour says the bed scenes was supposed to be more raunchy but YangYang wouldn’t unless the paid him more. Not sure how true but there was a bts of one of the bedroom scenes where the script states YT takes his shirt off but he jokingly protested. The most we saw was his chiseled back in another scene? Nonetheless, I’m kinda glad for his stand.
@birdie007 if you can tell me which timestamp for ep24 I can do a quick translation.
@Goodtwin – I finally saw ep25-26 with subs and the dialogue leading to the bedroom was actually cute. Of course with lots of innuendo… such a nerd thing just like his “love letters”. LOL!
@Birdie – I’m such a cheapskate! Now it’s too late to maximize the VIP subscription. Waiting time it will be…
@Grace – lots of kisses!!! It’s a realistic portrayal of a relationship by a couple in their 30’s. I really like that YT’s passions are expressed not just in his career but also in his romantic life. He needs to refuel given their busy and LDR. I’m glad JJ is a responsive partner, too.. else those kisses would have been awkward and one sided (hmmm Love020!).. I hope to see JJ initiate the kisses in the later eps.
Howdy! 👋🏻 Im up to episode 26. I’m counting the kisses as in lip kisses, I don’t count the cheeks one. 😂 I’m up to 12, I think. 🤔 I didn’t include the one with the masks too. You know, proper kisses. ☺️
My gosh though! 30 kisses? Wow! That’s definitely a record! I’m glad Yang Yang didn’t do the raunchy bit because I don’t think I can handle it. 😱 Maybe it was the scene where Jingjing put her hand inside his pajama top? As it is those are some hot kisses already. Where’s the fan? 😜
I had a good laugh though with the FaceTime scene where Yu Tu asked Jingjing if she will allow his genes to influence her genes. 😈 One things for sure, Yang Yang is a pro with those intimate scenes. But I gathered that to mean that he is very good at acting. He got so shy about the whole thing too when he was asked about the kissing scenes, I saw it on Instagram. He couldn’t answer it. 😂
I’ll read the book after the drama too. ☺️
Omg. I love this drama so much 😭❤️
I’m lately hiatus on watching kdrama last week (i think) i found this drama on kissasian, trying to watch it and became restless adoring yutu laose and ms qiao 🤣
This drama have a gorgeus couple, their chemistry so good, the story is very well written and interesting, also their performance were excellent.
I mostly skip so much on cdrama, but not with this one. This one for me, is the best of the best cdrama i ever watch. The story is simple, the struggle to chasing a dream or reality, and there is a lovely actress who cant move on with her first love.
From the beginning till the end, i love every pieces of the love story between yutu and jing jing.
After watching on kissasian, i give up. Bcs my friend told me its easier to watch on wetv and pay.
So i make acc for wetv app, just to watch fast track aka fast episode. 😍
I remember how much i love my love from the star back then in 2014.
I feel the same feeling with you are my glory.. 💕
Now i fall hard on dilireba and yang yang as fans💕
I think I remember Yang Yang saying he didn’t want to do modern romance dramas after LoveO2O. Probably didn’t want to be stuck in an endless loop of idol dramas, which is something that have plagued other actors. His other projects weren’t all that noteworthy though, because this is really the area in which he excels. Instead being in cheesy romance dramas though, I’m so glad his two main romantic male lead roles have been devoted to Gu Man’s wonderfully crafted characters. Her depiction on paper combined with his perfect delivery on screen is sure to make any girl swoon. There are plenty of good looking guys in dramaland, but there’s just something about Yang Yang for me, the best way for me to describe it is he has a captivating aura. Must be his past background.
Dilireba also rose to fame portraying a top star years ago and is now playing one again, a role that was made for her. I feel like all the stars aligned on this one and we got the perfect people playing the perfect roles. Already seeing comments that this drama is even better than the novel, which is almost unheard of. If only every drama can get the author to be the scriptwriter.
@agdr03, I think i might hope for someone to compile all those kisses on youtube or something. 😛
@Janey, I agree with you that this drama is a realistic portrayal of a couple in their 30s. And I would add to that, how it is like being in a somewhat long distance r/s, with insane busy schedules; showing how they coped with it. I remember one part where YT said that in that year JJ was only in Shanghai for 1 month and 10 days. It really justifies him going to the dessert to meet her for 2-3hours. And that hug when JJ saw him, was my super favourite part of the show, I totally felt her joy and how much she missed him.
So when celebrities say they broke up because of their busy work schedules, we all know better, it is not just that. If you are really committed, it is possible to make love and connection happen. This drama is the positive example of that.
The key here was their communication. I felt like on many instances they were able to clear their misunderstandings and upset feelings about each other without having to say “let’s break up”. You also get a sense that they communicated with each other everyday, via video chats, messages etc such that they knew so much about each other, to the detail. You can sense the commitment right from the beginning.
Yes! Communication. Makes me think of JWan and Iksun. Even before the noble idiocy on her part she wasn’t communicating. He didn’t know who her friends were, she cut him off when he tried to share his day to share her experience. So frustrating. And from the previews the effort still seems entirely one sided. Not that I meant to hijack this thread but there’s really only so much gushing I can do.
@agdr03, I have done a bit of a binge and am at the desert scene episode. My goodness, how clever of YT to bring a better transmitter to the site. My nerd adoration level has shot up.
But the ending scenes – in a flimsy tent, middle of the day, surrounded by people…😊🙅♀️🙈
@dramaluvr, I agree. I think that the actors are excellent. With Dilraba, I’m seeing every emotion so clearly, even when she is ‘acting’. She has a real gift and she has brought her character to life. Same with YY. He started out a bit stiff, as his character should be. Once JJ says that a person in love should be ‘reckless’ YT starts to light up. The supporting actors are great, too. I love the shot of the assistant waiting outside the tent with her umbrella for YT to appear.
I have watched all episodes. Yes, a lot of sweet scenes. Love how this couple commit to their relationship. They show how a normal couple should be. No bossy CEO, no high social status whatsoever. It is just between two person and significant people in their lives.
And, I love how it stays on the theme until the end, achieving your dream, without neglecting your support.
@fern I am totally agree. Love the assistant.
@birdie, you are right. Communication is very important. I also frustrated with Iksun, for behaving as she did. Sigh~
Ready to binge-watch again. Haha, I am so addicted to YAMG.
@birdie007, yes actually I was going to say a lot of drama character have less than desirable communication skills, or they do not show commitment by withholding a lot of info from their better half. Winter garden is an example too, and that will likely be their thorn, it reflects how much their other person matter to you.
I am trying to remember if and whether JJ was angry with YT after they got together. Before that, they kept a lot of things from each other but things changed after they were together. I love the gestures of love for each other like YT making wardrobe system for JJ, being considerate of her status and privacy; JJ’s encouragement for YT when he felt down about his mentor not working with him.
It feels like they always considered each other and took care of each other so well. No wonder it is so satisfying to watch them over and over again. Episode 27 & 28 has lots of kisses 😍 all that affection they give each other makes you feel all so warm inside.
I have watched 14 episodes with English subtitles on Tencent Youtube channel. I’ve got 3 more weeks to go until the 32 episodes’ completion. Tencent is releasing 6 episodes per week, so, September 8th, it is.
Here are some things I’ve learned along the way.
Yu Tu: yu – it’s a surname but it also means “to go”; tu – way, road, route.
Qiao Jing Jing – jing means crystal; a crystal is something that sparkles and shines.
Episode 3, 25:05, YT is comparing QJJ’s two QQ ID numbers. The one from high school is 121455200 and the current one is 122147520. Both numbers have the “520” which means “I love you” in Chinese internet language.
The QQ 121455200’s account name is “yi shan yi shan”, means sparkle/flash/lightning.
Episode 1, 30:52, teenager QJJ creates an alternative account, and that name is “shan shan fa guang”, means sparkle brings light.
Episode 1, 32:23, teenager QJJ changes the username to “shou ke zhai xing chen” hand can pick stars from “shan shan fa guang / sparkle brings light”. She uses this new username “hand can pick stars” and sends the friend invite to YT.
Present time, QJJ creates username to “shou ke zhai mian hua” hand can pick cotton. She’s being silly and random with this username.
Episode 1, 30:23, when QJJ is checking out YT’s game profile, his QQ number is 120581314. 1314 means one life one world aka forever.
Someone already mentioned this. YT’s has kept his account name “yu tu dao yao / Jade Rabbit Pounding Elixir” the same since high school. His teenage QQ account name and his present time Honor of Kings account name are the same.
YT’s phone password 0424. April 24th is China’s National Space Day.
The show’s Chinese title is “ni shi wo de rong yao” which is the literal translation of “you are my glory”. Most Chinese shows that I’ve come across with has a Chinese title, sometimes two Chinese titles, and a separate English title that doesn’t match the Chinese title.
Episode 8, 23:19, QJJ is talking with YT at manager Jing’s house balcony. QJJ is being brave by saying that she’s always admired YT, hoping that one day he would become an incredible scientist, in which she would be “honored / rong yao” to know him as a “classmate”. I think the novel and the show tends to tilt towards YT being QJJ’s glory, but I think she is his glory from the moment he reconnected with her. He had been emotionally beaten, unsure what his next steps are in life, and QJJ (as her name’s meaning) shines and lights his way (his name’s meaning) out.
29 and 30 have been released on Dramacool. I agree that this couple’s communication is only getting better and better. Whenever there’s a difference in understanding or opinion they keep calm and respond logically. Even with that, they manage to keep it interesting by one or the other’s special touches – whether mischievous, well planned or both. 30 was pretty sweet. I’m awaiting subs for the next 2 eps – don’t want to spoil it for myself.
Haha. 50kg wedding dress.
@Fan of TKEM, the show’s little details like that show a lot of poetic and numerical justice. I had wondered at first how JJ knew it was YT on the games account but had to research another blog to see the explanation. Thank you for putting all of this in one tidy package. It’s been an amazing show.
Thanks @FanofTKEM for these additional references. I figured YT did not change his “handle” from HS to present that’s why JJ was able to find him again and luckily she got to accidentally be invited to their game.
YAMG is my happy pill! I just finished ep29-30 with subs and it just gets better and better. The informal proposal was so typical YT but JJ gets him. When he delivered a more formal one after a very emotional moment, it made up for it.
Yu Tu: We have known each other for 16 years, but because of my own preconceptions we’ve missed out on 13 years. You said that you do not regret, but I am really regretting. Thank goodness we still have many years to come. Please give all your future time to me. I’ll use all my heart, all my might to be a good husband.
I also like the reasons of JJ for choosing to marry that way. That’s why she was able to convince the parents and in laws. She’s really smart and knows what’s important. A most down to earth celebrity, she is. The wedding was magical, too. Ep30 is worth many rewatches.
@FanofTKEM, thank you so much for the detailed breakdown. I totally missed the meanings in numbers. It is very detailed!
This page writes up a bit more on the director’s view of how he made the drama. He praised the writer GuMan for her detailed research. He also talks about the mood filters being created using different colours to depict the different characters and their settings. This drama really has beautiful scenes from the dessert to the river along Shanghai.

I am wondering when the last two episodes will come out. Meanwhile I am savouring the show. @Janey, I also love Yutu’s second proposal, made me 😭😭😭 it was so ernest and sincere. Totally felt him coming out of his shell after they got together. They are each other’s glory and they emulate a kind of mature love that is an example we can learn from.
@Fern, YT’s handle name on Honor of Kings game read this; “you tu dao yao (Yu Tu)” The parenthesis had his actual name attached so QJJ knew 100% it was him. I have been learning Chinese so it is fun for me to learn random things in C-shows.
@Fan of TKEM, thank you for that. It is completely the sort of thing a non-speaker of Chinese would miss. I wish you much luck with your continued learning of Chinese. Does he really speak in dialect when he communicates with his parents on the phone? One of his workmates mentioned it.
Thanks @Grace for the link! I’m reading it right now (in between meetings!). I’ll have to check this director’s other works, too. And read Gu Man as well. The attention to detail was evident in the final outcome of their work. YAMG is in my top list of dramas to watch and rewatch.
The couple do embody #relationshipgoals and not in a frivolous way. It tackles real life issues on relationships and career and shows a good and possible (realistic) way of managing that. As mentioned by other posts above, the communication is key!
@grace – speaking of beautiful scenes from the desert, I can officially say that the kiss scene from the desert is the most aesthetically pleasing kiss scene I have ever seen. From the way she rolled down that shade slowly, to the lighting to the color tone to the angle it was shot to the way he softly caressed her…I can’t even count how many times I’ve watched it.
The most satisfying dramas for me are those in which I don’t need to question what the two leads see in each other or wonder how they will keep the relationship going once they get together. There are too many dramas in which yeah it’s cute when they bicker or I guess they’d fall for each other during a really contrived romantic moment, but besides being physically attracted to each other it’s hard to understand where their intense feelings come from.
Some might think this is too slow, I mean was it ep 8 when she asked so are we friends now? I really enjoyed the slow progression in which they really get to know each other more and more. Also I think I’ve mentioned this before, but on the way back to their hometown when he stopped her from getting back in the car, the way they let their insecurities be known and really expressed themselves in a way that lets the audience see how different their minds work, that was beautiful. Then when they got together and in between the cute times they spend together we also get to see how they adjust to fit into each other’s lives without being intrusive. The best couples are really ones that are already pretty amazing people individually, but even better when together.
@Fern – I’ve watched up to 14 episodes, and the short clips from Tencent. I am not sure when YT talks to his parents on the phone. But all the other conversations I’ve seen with him speaking to his parents (the dingy hotel stay when parents came to Shanghai, the walk with his mom) are all in Mandarin, no dialect difference.
Thanks, @Fan of TKEM. It was a comment by his co-worker, so it must have been a conversation off screen. I was just curious. It made me wonder if JJ’s grandparents spoke dialect since they seemed to live in a very remote area. I’m really enjoying learning the geography since I’m pretty ignorant in that respect. Before I only knew that Beijing was north-ish and Shanghai was south.
Read this really interesting piece on group weddings in China and how the government is promoting them as a means of increasing the birth rate. So the group wedding was a little piece of pro-group wedding propaganda as well. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2021-08-06/why-xi-wants-cheaper-weddings-for-china
I’m up to about 22 kisses till episode 29. LOL!
@grace, I’m sure you’re wish will come true with the compilation of kisses. I’ll watch out for it and put it here. 🙂 I was emotional too with Yu Tu’s second formal proposal. How can you say no?
I’m about 22 kisses up to episode 29. LOL!
@grace, I’m sure your wishes will come true with kisses compilation. We just need to wait for it. I’ll watch out for it ok. I got emotional too when Yu Tu proposed the second time, how can you say no?
That wedding hall though, wow!
Sorry for my double post. Please delete one of them Queen. Kumawo!
@agdr03 – I’m reading the novel (English translation). Its very close to the cdrama dialogues and scenes. Will try to count the kiss scenes there and see if they match. 😉Thanks for keeping count in The drama. Which episode has the most?
@Janey, it’s my pleasure to keep tabs on the kisses. I won’t be a true Yang Yang fan if I don’t count it. 😉 They were so good too. 🥰😂
I think my head got overwhelmed from when they left the jewellery endorsement, I didn’t pay attention to which episode anymore as I was concentrating on my count then whether the lips have started again. 😂 I think at one point I felt like closing my eyes because it’s too hot. 😜
I’m definitely going to read the novel as well but please do tell it here the exact number in the novel. ☺️
@Good Twin, what an interesting article. It fits in well with the drama’s theme of government workers being undervalued in the marketplace. I really loved this particular group wedding.
@agdr03. You are incorrigible. 😆
😂 @Fern, I’m the VP of Yang Yang’s fan club here. @Phoenix is the President. I have to do my bit while she’s busy right? 😜
Besides, you enjoyed those kisses too. 🤣
Busted.
@agdr03 & @Fern, U are so funny! 😛 I’m gonna enjoy the kisses and count it again cos I am rewatching while reading the translated novel. I can read Chinese but I will be just too slow so the English one works great.
YT was in the finance sector he could easily earn an annual salary of US$150,000 but because he is in gov sector he earns a lot less.
His friend told him: ‘If you had simply taken any one of all those offers you got when you graduated from undergrad, your annual salary would already have been several million if you’d kept working until now, right? You just had to be foolish and do postgraduate studies with some sort of focus in the aerospace direction. You work yourself to death and you still only take home ten to twenty grand. You solve a big, difficult problem and you still only get five grand.'”
I’m not sure if 10 to 20 grand refers to per year or per month. But I assume it would be per month and that works out to be US$3000. It doesn’t seem a lot for someone who has been working for 7 years but he managed to buy his own place nonetheless.
In terms of returns, this really seems really little for his great mind, capacity and contribution to society.
On the other hand, actors/actresses are paid a maximum US$145k per episode and not more than US$7.7mil per season.
Last episode on WeTV with translations today! Savouring this show because it is just too good and both YY & Dilraba are such an eye candy.
The subs haven’t come out in the UK yet on Dramacool. I was hoping to see the new episodes tonight because it has been 7 days now. I will look tomorrow morning.
@Grace, thank you for the finance information. I had the impression that YT had also kept up with some investing, despite his salary being modest. Too bad he couldn’t do some modelling on the side with JJ’s agency. 😉
I finished the last episode and that was just delightful. Her pride in him was precious—from watching him sleep to watching him work. I never expected to enjoy Dilraba’s acting this much. And you can tell he still gets a kick out of her. Aaahh…I would usually complain that maybe it was just a bit too sunshine and roses but whatever, when you can communicate, appreciate and respect each other, it really is possible to have a happy marriage no matter distance, busyness, or any other obstacle that presents itself.
HAHAHA….they made them react together to ep 25 while at Disneyland. I cannot, they already bid farewell to their characters on social media, why is Tencent still throwing so much content at us?
@birdie007, I agree with everything you wrote. What a satisfying drama, both on the interpersonal level between the leads but the direction and script were so good as well! I liked the ending showing the rise from the space centre to the far reaches of the universe. I feel that I’ve learned a lot more about current culture than in most dramas.
Sigh of bliss…this will be my no.1 drama ending ever. It didn’t feel rushed, it didn’t feel draggy. Plus the amount of pride, respect and consideration they have for each other is one that makes me so envious of. I love that it ends at the peak of YT’s career, a realization of his dream. And we see how JJ is so instrumental in helping him achieve that by being his unwavering support.
The ending was so emotional for me on so many levels, they made us feel so proud for them.
Read somewhere that GuMan had Yangyang in mind for ML from the beginning.
I’m not sure how they count views but the show was raked in 3billion views and Yangyang was on top of a search or popularity thing for 20+ weeks cos of this show.
Ah, I can’t say enough how I adore this cdrama, and not just because of the actors but mostly the story. The ending was glorious although I wouldn’t mind seeing them have kids, growing old and continuing to be mischievous couple.
Huge credit to Gu Man for the story and the #couplegoals. It’s as if she was writing it as a drama script. Almost all the novel dialogues were used. They are kind of aspirational couple but relatable and grounded, balanced. They are just really good people and even better together.
I’ve also finished the novel and the drama stayed very true to the writing. The main chapters cover up to ep22 (KTV kiss and visit back to their school). Gu Man had to revise the last 2 chapters since there was feedback that the KTV kiss was too abrupt so a follow on kiss at the school was added. LOL!
After that, ep23 onwards are based from the epilogues (there’s 16 of them!) which are snippets of the day to day life of the couple as they progress in their relationship and careers. So in a sense, it’s really a prolonged ending from ep23-32 which makes it even more satisfying. Best ending as @folks have concurred here.
Reporting on the kisses in the novel, ep21-22 kisses are in there. The rest of the intimacy happens in the epilogues but there were more kisses in the drama than explicitly written in the novel, I think that’s more as a build up to their intimacy and passion as a couple. They were described as affectionate partners and there were a couple of intimate scenes inferred in the novel. I love the best are the hugs that they do in the drama (not described as much in the novel) with JJ jumping into his arms eagerly, YT holding her head while he embraces her, their back hugs… Yangyang and Dilraba were perfect in playing them. Swoon!!!
I’ve finished it too and it’s just lovely and it made me happy all over. 🥰 I was emotional too at the end when he accomplished his mission. I’m with you @Janey that I would have loved to see little YT or JJ. ☺️
Reporting on the kisses, I have 26. It’s a record already for all of my cdramas. Here is wuri Yang Yang being asked about it. He’s so cute being shy! 😍 He could have just said, it’s all about the lighting, the position/angles and input from the director and me. 😁

@agdr03, that is so funny. He’s like a little kid.
I liked Love 020 very much, but to me YY’s character in Love 020 was so completely perfect, almost super-human and very much in charge of the relationship. Wei Wei, while intelligent and clever in her own way, was still at a lower level somehow. It seemed to me that she reacted to his relationship goals. It’s fine that she was more passive. It still seemed like a good relationship.
In YAMG, I felt that there was a better balance between the strengths of the characters. They complemented each other and gained more together than apart. A formidable couple, I would say.
I wished for more scenes with JJ at YT’s family home and visa-versa. I also had a feeling that the two Dads might become Mah-jong buddies if they weren’t already, since both enjoyed it so much.
@Fern, Xiao Nai wasn’t perfect in LoveO2O because he didn’t know how to cook and he said it himself. 😜
I thought it was good that he let WeiWei solve those issues around her and how they supported each other in their own way like Wei Wei in the company and him helping her with her studies and letting her finish her degree.
Both cdramas were good but LoveO2O is my number 1. ☺️
Here’s a clip of the genes discussion. I was laughing. I liked the way it was put together. 🥰😂

You’re distracting me. I’m watching the scene in Ep 5 when he leaned in to turn off the talk feature on her iPhone. His finger almost brushed her cheek, and his face was a few inches away from hers.
How the camera director must have loved and memorized every bit of Yang Yang’s face to think of such shot angle!
And Dilraba’s messy hair added the right touch. The strands of hair looked like a veil. She was hiding her reaction to his proximity with her hair. 🙂
Nice.
Sorry. 🙇🏻♀️
I love Yang Yang’s every feature and angles too. 🥰
Here’s more distraction but not particularly everything about YAMG. ☺️ All subbed. Credit to the owner.

@Fern, @Agdr03, I think it’s also because of their age, in their 30”a that makes it a different kind of romance and the circumstances of their personal challenges are treated more mature maturely. But that did not stop it from making them a fun and mischievous couple (JJ’s influence), always learning from each other..
I like YT’s character and the way Yangyang portrayed him is more nuance than Xiao Nai. But both are not good cooks and in YAMG even insinuated that cooking is for those in the arts. There’s a stereotype there!
I saw in an interview that this is not the first time that Dilraba played as an actress. But she accepted this role because she said it’s different with the age and approach. She did great as JJ who naturally shines without much arguing. With YT, she is like her HS self, full of joy and admiration for YT. One of my favorite scenes was during the basketball game when current JJ and YT are interspersed with their HS versions doin the same thing.
@PM3, ep5 is after the exes appeared and also that dinner with an obnoxious classmate when JJ cleverly had that “expensive” wine (bottle) served at their table. This is the start of Yt looking at JJ differently. Let us know if you need rewatch companions. The next eps will be more game playing and practice but I’m definitely up for it. 😉
@Agdr03 – thanks for the YY interviews! He is teased a lot with the kissing! LOL! Well, 26 kisses to your count, how much more with the takes and NGs?
@agdr03, I liked the comment next to the genes discussion clip: 😜😂.. “Will you allow my genes to influence your genes” – this is how Aerospace engineers flirt btw😉💗”
This so fulfils my nerd-love appreciation cup.
@packmule3, yes the camera/director love this couple so much. The face close-up scenes are particularly well arranged out.
I should have edited better above. My grammar was all over the place. 🤦♀️
How interesting that YY has ongoing communication with Gu Man. I had wondered if she wrote this drama with him in mind; now I quite believe it.
I want to say that I started yesterday watching “You are my Glory” and I really like it so far!
Good afternoon, @Cleopatra. Yes, it is refreshing.
There is a link towards the top of the thread to a translation of the novel. If you have a question about a translation, it is probably clearer there.
I just noticed that the name ‘Hand Picking Stars’ was mentioned in Love 020 as an online name. Gu Man does her own meta.
Hey @Fern,
I haven’t read all your comments, since I am currently at Episode 7.
I will check it when I have proceed further!
Since is my first c-drama I need some time to adjust!
Thanks, @Cleopatra. No credit to me; it wasn’t I who posted the link. I just can’t recall at the moment who did it or at what date. Unfortunately I’ve just cleaned out my favourites bar where I had it stored for my own use, so can’t send it to you. I’ll have a look.
Meanwhile, enjoy.
It was @Fan of TKEM, on August 5 at 10.52am on this thread. I can’t copy the address from the post. She also had some good advice on the online names and the lunar rover that I would never have known about.
There’s a couple of scenes where it’s similar to LoveO2O ☺️
– the one when YT was coming down from the audience to play the game with JJ / Xiao Nai stoop up and walked over to the bleachers side where WeiWei was.
– kiss in the car after the blind date and at the space center / kiss in the car after the swimming class and kiss before they reached their weekend treat.
@Cleopatra 👋🏻 you’ll love it too. 😉
@Fern,
I will keep that in mind! Thank you!
@agdr03 I am already falling! It is refreshing and I like Dilraba and Yang Yang!
@packmule3, ahhh you’re reminding me that the Single’s Day movie date is coming up…time for a rewatch. That soft touch of the finger and that sudden graze of the knee. I don’t know if it’s because of their chemistry or it’s Yang Yang, but my heart never fluttered at such small gestures before seeing it here. I especially love how they paced it, throwing in a little bit here and there in the beginning while they are both still pretty much focused on the important thing which is turning her into a skilled player. For him it was to spend the entire day being distracted and keeping his mind off his problems, but I’m sure being in close contact with the pretty classmate who had a crush on you in HS, but is now a top star isn’t bad either. Seeing their feelings develop over time in a realistic way is so satisfying.
Question – that 9am to 9pm job with no pay and a 3 hour commute + buying her breakfast everyday…was it more than just being distracted from his problems? Was it a physical attraction the moment he laid eyes on her after 10 years and she told him that she trusts him while smiling brightly? What do you guys think?
For me a little bit of physical attraction and maybe a little bit of guilt still from his rejection of her back in school. ☺️
As for me, I think he needs that distraction. And yes, he seems attracted to her. While being free, why not spend time with a beautiful ex-classmate? Haha
BTS and promo events compilation…look at how much fun they had
I think it’s Yang Yang. 😂😂
But when he leaned over and “grazed” her, I was reminded of that Merchant Ivory films (“The Remains of the Day,” “A Room With a View,” “Howards End,” etc.) and their penchant for slow-moving close-ups to show repression and breathlessness. The Chinese director, whoever he was, just didn’t have the lush settings of an Italian countryside or the somber ambiance of an English manor.
But still it was a great technique. By slowing down that precise moment, we the viewers, were made to imagine what Cotton/Dilraba was feeling as he leaned in. Her extreme physical awareness of him and her difficulty breathing. I don’t know about you but I held my breath when she held hers. I was unconsciously mimicking her. 😂
Great trick.
And yes, that whole scene when they were drinking wine — she was in effect insulating/isolating him from the harsh world, from his “friends” who looked down on him. The cinematography did the work there.
They were sitting by the glass walls of a tall building, and looking down at the city. Nobody could hurt him there. He was cocooned in a sense.
@Cleo – welcome to YAMG!!! Hope you enjoy it. It’s one of the rare dramas that focus on the main OTP, no 2nd 3rd couples, no slapstick, no OTT situations. It’s really refreshing as @Fern and @Agdr said.
Here’s the link to the novel (hope it works) with English sub title, thanks to @FanofTKEM! https://hui3r.wordpress.com/gu-man/youre-my-glory-on-going/
In my experience, I liked that I watched the drama first before reading the novel. The novel is like being handed the script. It’s great to have YY and Dilraba as templates for the characters.
@Dramaluvr and all – no compensation discussed at all, right? I think it’s a mix of guilt, also the trust and distraction of having a “pet” project while YT is still on leave. In the novel, it was mentioned that he vacationed at his parents but he had to cut that and pretend he’s back to work in Shanghai so they will not worry. Then he finds himself playing games anyway.
Thanks dramalvr! It looks like they really did enjoy her. I know I saw someone comment that he said Dilraba was a lot like JingJing IRL. Although I haven’t watched that show or any BTS of 020, I imagine Dilraba was preferable to what his past experience with that awful human that played the female lead in 020.
Each other* not her ^^^^
@birdie007 Ironically YY and ZS were in a travel variety show about half a year before they filmed O2O, let’s just say they did not get along all that great. He got lost and she didn’t want anyone to go look for him, can’t really understand her reasoning, but she’s definitely not someone who gets along with others easily and it made the rest of their trip awkward. They kind of ended that show with a heart to heart and saying it’d be nice if they worked together in the future and then O2O happened soon after. I still laugh thinking how so many people wanted them to be a real couple when they were completely not compatible. YY is nothing like the characters he is well known for, he’s actually a ball of sunshine and so is Dilireba. Regardless of whether they end up together as a lot of people are hoping, I’m glad to see them being themselves and having fun together.
@Cleo, welcome to the Yangyang club 🤩 can’t help falling for YY’s sharp features.
@pm3, I love that scene when they were drinking wine in her home, at the snug set up.
Also noticed in episode 10 or 11 where GuanZai’s wife (ShenJing) was sitting at the stairs in the hospital, there was a clip where their silhouette was cast within the stair rail shadows, as if telling us that YT and and SJ felt trapped. SJ due to her husband’s illness, YT due to his decision to stay or quit.
I loved reading the director’s view and process, from the link I shared earlier. He talks about starting from colour to style the film, and if you notice that the tonal effect is very satisfying.
JJ has a grayish-pink tone about her, and that reflects her cheerful and sweet personality. YT’s tone is black and dark brown, reflecting his rational and calm personality. You see that in their clothing and their homes.
Rewatching this with hubby cos the first round I was speeding though the show at 2x speed sometime. Picking up more details now.
@dramaluvr, ZS isn’t the nicest person IRL. Her surrogacy scandal was shocking. Now she is fined $62million for tax evasion. The gov actually gave a statement that they have a ” zero tolerance policy against stars who “lack ethics”. Good move it though. So now all ZS’s shows on YouTube and streaming platforms like WeTv has been taken down, her Weibo account shut down. Though i can still find Love020 on Netflix.
Love YY’s laughter IRL 😍 and it seems like would try a hand in directing. He came up with the idea of the flickering light of the ad of JJ that eventually went out at the bus stop as he walked past. I’m not remembering which episode it is now.
@Grace – I just saw similar article on ZS tax evasion and China’s crackdown on idols. 👎
I enjoyed the article you shared on the director’s POV air how he approached YAMG.
When I watched Love020, I was drama newbie and I did not know that BTS existed, I should look for those to see how they interacted between takes. ZS kinda soured me on rewatching Love020, maybe I should just read the novel.
Can’t seem to move on from this couple….sharing my fave fmv so far
Oh and can’t forget about this one
Thanks for the FMVs @dramaluvr! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m still on YAMG hangover, too. It will be a while before I move on…
I agree with @dramaluvr and @Janey. I will be comparing other romances with this for a long while.
@Janey & @Fern (Note: edited name- pm3) – I think it’s hard to move on, because I want what they have. This is the best way I can sum up their relationship:
Ten years ago when he was bright as a star, his rejection made her determined to strive to be a better version of herself. Ten years later when he lost his way she became his star and ultimate guiding system. You can just feel the respect, support and appreciation they have for each other and that’s so beautiful.
I’m also not moving on…can’t seem to watch other shows for now and stuck in my rewatches. I’m also reading the translation slowly and I loved some of the parts that is expressed so beautifully in text. I have left the original if anyone understands because in the translations, some depth of meaning gets lost. This was when YT & JJ first met after a long time at the lobby of her condominium. I realised now, that their first face to face encounter was a dazzling one and potentially life changing for him.
“看着不远处那个朝他盈然而笑的女子,于途不能免俗地恍惚地觉得——他大概遇见了一个奇遇。
Looking at that woman who was smiling at him not far away, Yu Tu couldn’t help but dazedly feel that —— he probably was having a remarkable and wondrous encounter.”
This is JJ’s thoughts when they met:
“乔晶晶也在看着于途,她想,有句话,很流行的,怎么说来着。
哦,好像是——
归来仍是少年。
她在滚滚红尘中奔波名利,而这个人却一如既往,眼神清澈。
Qiao Jing Jing was also looking at Yu Tu. She thought of a very popular saying. How did it go?
Oh, it seemed to be ——
“You’ve retained the purity and innocence of youth.”
She had been running about chasing fame and fortune in the world of mortals, but this person was still the same, his eyes bright and clear.”
This part is JJ’s impression of YT is different, she saw him as still retaining who he was when she last saw him, that “purity and innocence of youth”. The origins of that phrase came from a Su Shi’s (not sushi 😛 ) poem from the Song Dynasty. The original meaning came from a story to mean that no matter what kind of difficult situation you are in, if it is a place that gives you a peace of mind, it is your hometown…or home. “此心安处是吾乡”
The phrase JJ says “归来仍是少年” has been modernised from that original phrase to mean not forgetting your original intention (YT’s aerospace dream in this context). She did not quote the front part of that phrase “出走半生Despite years of striving” because at that point she didn’t know of YT’s struggles, but for Chinese readers of the novel they would know that missing phrase. To JJ who looked up to and admired YT for being so consistent with his dream, she only used the latter half of the phrase on YT.
But I love this phrase “走出半生,归来仍是少年 Despite years of striving, I return with a young heart.” It sums up this drama,
because at the end of the show, we all knew YT strived hard for his dream and that one singular goal.
I quote the translator of this phrase here:
https://language.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202011/24/WS5fbc5b10a31024ad0ba95f9c.html
“I think the meaning of this sentence is:
We spent half our lives in the red dust, and gradually understood the true meaning of life, returned to the original self, and found the clear mentality when we started.
Our skin may be wrinkled, and our temples may be pale, but our mentality has not grown old with the years, and our heart is still a teenager, and we can still live this life hopefully.
This sentence resonates with everyone, not because everyone has achieved this state, but because this state is so beautiful that many people can’t ask for it, but they are very yearning.”
And that is probably part of why this show is so captivating and satisfying, that sense of achieving something you dreamt of since young. It was not without difficulties but we watched how YT struggled through it, made mistakes, had regrets and found his new direction again, this time with JJ. Obviously they weren’t wrinkled but still looking beautiful at 38…
@Grace, that is so well said. Thank you for the translation and interpretation. I am in the state of comparing other dramas to YAMG and finding them lacking. I can only hope that Gu Man is continuing to write.
Hi All, here are my notes on the episodes and kisses. It’s hard to do actual count so I just noted if it’s a series of kisses (kiss bundle!). Ep25 has the most!
Ep21: kiss = 2; KTV kiss and at school grounds. In the main novel, these are the only 2 kisses. The original only had 1 and Gu Man had to edit the last chapter to add the other kiss since the KTV kiss seemed abrupt.
Ep22: kiss = 1 boat “refuel” stop. Ep22 to 32 are all part of the novel epilogue so we have a long ending. One thing that was changed in the drama was the way they let the parents know they were dating. I like it better in the drama! Sneaky and mischievous couple learning from each other.
Ep23 – kiss = 1 mask kiss as they say goodbye at the airport. LDR begins.
“Would you allow my genes to influence yours?”
Ep24 – kiss = car kiss when JJ did a quick promo break in Sh in between filming. Paparazzi started following them.
*Ep25 – ep with the most kisses!!! kiss = 1 goodnight kiss on JJ’s cheek as she sleeps over YT’s place. After the her promo gig, they went home. 1 series of kisses at the door; 1 series “I-can’t-wait-anymore”: 1 series on the bed as they measure the pillow height.
Ep26 – 1 series of kisses – YT earns an hour after setting up WiFi signal booster at the desert film location of JJ. Beautifully shot kiss! I always love their reunion embraces as they greet each other – JJ jumping into his arms excitedly and YT cradling her head gently. They do this many times, too!
Ep 27 – 1 forehead kiss as YT bids her goodbye at the desert. 1 forehead kiss to welcome her home. YT covers her eyes as she naughtily eyed him getting undressed. 1 series of pajama kisses. Another “I don’t want to nag you” kiss. 1 – JJ kisses YT on the cheek as he goes to work. JJ shows off the best gift ever, her hi-tech closet made by YT!
Ep28 – 2 months of being together. “We don’t have time to fight at night”! 1 kiss before meeting up to introduce JJ to his office mates. 1 kiss on temple as YT wakes up and leaves the bed. 1 kiss after setting up telescope.
Ep29 – no kiss but one of my favorites! smart JJ, she will always choose YT even if she is famous or not (showing off acting skills at friend’s house). JJ at YT’s basketball game interspersed with clips from their HS game and how JJ giddily cheered for him then and now. Haha, YT’s marriage proposal. But JJ gets it.
Ep30 – wedding episode! kiss – 2 while negotiating the weight of wedding dress! 1 series during the wedding/“rehearsal “. lots of embraces here. after confirming what kind of wedding does JJ want, YT did his proposal again, with teary eyes. (note: this was not in the novel epilogue).
JJ: good. I will be, too.
Ep31: kisses – 1 series with cue “are there security cameras?” at the space station. I love the matching pajamas.
Ep32 – no kiss here but hugs full of pride for a dream come true!!!
Waaaaaaaa! Thanks so much @Janey! 🙇🏻♀️ These kisses are so detailed. You’re awesome! 🥰👏🏻
@Janey, your term ‘Kiss Bundle’ sums it up perfectly. Thank you for all of that onerous research. You suffered for our benefit. 😉
I had to laugh about the beds at the overnight quarters at the space station. They somehow moved together after all. 🥰
Wow! Thanks, @Janey! I’ll post this as a thread for easy access.
Woohoo! Thanks @Janey! Very detailed breakdown 😀 I love their connection and how natural it feels.
And every angle of YY is so so good…I watched a video talking about how perfect his facial features are and another about his personality based on his eyebrows etc etc. Ok…I’ve been turned a YY fan because of this show!
Adding a detail I read on Weibo about YT’s aspirations in his career. That the greatest love YT has is his love for aerospace. With that in mind, GuMan specifically requested in the directing that JJ’s billboards should not be on the upper part of the high rise building but at YT’s eye level. She stated that YT should not look UP at the billboard (there are a few scenes where he sees her billboards on the way home) and it is at his eye level, or only slightly above. The only “person” in this drama that YT looks up to is the “goddess of space” in terms of what he aspires in the aerospace. In the last episode where he looks up, his gaze is towards the sky/space.

I just wanted to let anyone who might be interested know that “You Are My Glory” is now streaming on Amazon Prime, at least in the U.S. I found it when I was searching for something else.
Happy Black Friday!
Really?! Oh wow. That’s good news. The ads on YouTube were tiresome.
Thank you, @Dlia!
Thank you for the ‘heads up’, Dalia.
Are you excited about this news as I am, @Fern? 😂
@packmule3, yes, I’m happy for the A-prime subscribers. I watched it elsewhere and am hoping for your views, and that you enjoyed it as much as I.
I should send my daughter to you to turn off the advertisements!
@dlia, apologies my autocorrect messed up your name!
