I have to say that the third prince aka Prince Yang Myung will give us lots of laughter! He is such a tease and he is also mischevious.
As for the second prince aka Prince Joo Hyang along with that awful Shaman Lady Mi Su will bring havoc.
BUT
The highlight of the episode was…the Tiger aka the Mountair Spirit Ho Ryung !
She kicked Ma Wang pretty hard and I was grinning! Go girl Go!
Also, one of my friends captured the fight scene and the graphics are awesome indeed! If you check the audience can see on the tiger’s eye a mirror of Ma Wang’s figure! Bravo to the graphic designer team!

I agree! I didn’t know what to expect but the computer graphic images looked like they were made for a Hollywood film instead of television show. Very impressive that the producers went through so much trouble just for CGI but this proves to me that the Korean CGI industry is first-rate.
Remember Vincenzo? I didn’t watch much of it but I remember @GB’s post on the CGI of Italian scenes. 😮 They were top-notch, too.

I have watched the first episode of Vincenzo and I saw that specific Italian Scene! Top Notch indeed!
I binged the first 3 episodes last night. I’m glad I’ll have something to look forward to.
It’s surprisingly not that difficult to follow thanks to VIKIs detailed subs and @PM3 posts.
The part I find hardest to keep straight are prince brothers 1,2, and 3 in the future. Will need to go back and look at cast breakdown. I also kept getting distracted during the scenes in episode 1 because the way their hats were making their ears bend down.
The child actors were spectacular. I’m interested in how the male actor will transition IRL as he gets older. His hands in the star drawing scene tell me he’ll be very handsome 😍
I (wrongly) assumed that the second ML would be HR’s bodyguard character, but I’m relieved to know it’s only one of the princes (1 or 3??) Since we know their destinies/fate (which term are we using here?) are intertwined, I won’t have to feel too sorry for the loser in the love triangle since I don’t find myself attracted to that type of character. Maybe the bodyguard will get his own loveline??
I am hoping for more female characters that aren’t goddesses although mountain tiger girl was fantastic. I wonder who the casting director is for this show? Must do some research. The make up and hair is also well done along with the CGI. This show must have a very large budget. I imagine those wolves were very expensive. The lady playing the shaman must’ve had to practice with that gorgeous red fan a lot.
Im sure there’s more I can ramble about but I’ll stop there. Im glad you all are watching too, I so enjoy watching these dramas with a “community”

It looks like the Painting competition is shaping to be quite the event. All of our main characters are involved, and each has own agenda…
@SnowFlower yes. I like the fact that we have clear lines drawn. And the plot moves at a steady pace. Green eyed goblin painter makes a reappearance after disappearing all those years ago. Just in time to let CG out to head off to the painting competition.
Shaman lady knows that MW resides inside HR. Prince2 has been marked by MW from the encounter in the past.
There are still missing pieces about HR’s past. Still unclear as to why the King(?) ordered the killing of his parents. I guess writer could keep this up her sleeve so as to have HR relinquish his vengeful ways (because it was all a misunderstanding?).
I laughed out loud with Hong Hong Hong. 😂 That was cute.
But I thought HR’s laugh sounded so fake when CG tried to explain to him why she’s embarrassed to see Prince Myung. 😁
Yes, the goblin has returned to help CG. But he looked like William Defoe too, Green Goblin from Spider-Man. 😂

It looks like HRam is already jealous and possessive of HongCG. hmmm. He showed it when the younger Prince (2?) wanted HongCG to stay longer at the gazebo, esp when the prince was implying that HongCG will be married to him eventually coz of her joke the first time they met in the mtns. HRam is so clever when he spilled his tea hmmm. hihi. clumsy clever?
HRam already caught HongCG in his arms twice in one episode… when the prince and HCG were fighting over the scroll. ay yay. then later at the competition entrance. this move was so smooth.
it seems unfair that HRam is the only one who remembers their past so far. He’s so ahead of the game. when will HongCG realized Hram was her first kiss? hmmm
i wonder why Art director does not want HongCG to attend the competition?

Evil prince needs good hearted prince to get enough backing to ascend to the throne. I am not sure what “revenge” looks like for HR. Is he planning on taking down the whole royal family? Or just the King? The King has already expressed his desire to abdicate. I find him rather weak willed. He knows full well the Crown Prince will not survive the power struggle with Evil Prince. Yet he persists in wanting to put him in harm’s way? As if to wash his hands of it and saying, “I have done my duty. I have ensured that the eldest son gets to sit on the throne. Even if it is only short lived. Not my problem anymore what happens next.” 🤷🏻♀️

Your comment made me think about something. I’ll try and do a rewatch to make sure, but has CG even mentioned the boy from her past since the 19 year time skip? Did she lose parts of her memory when gaining her sight? One would think she’d wonder what happened to him since she knew he was taking part in the ceremony and supposed to meet her the next day. As @pm3 pointed out her brush/stroke left an impression on HR, did it not for her?
@agdr03 HR’s forced guffaw really threw me. I want to like this actor. I remember he had a verrrry nice kiss in Dr Romantic 2 so I want to give him some leeway but that laugh was just awful.
I think Ha Ram’s laughter is meta. This actor is known for his awkward laugh. Years ago (was it in 2018?), he was in “Running Man,” and the host JaeSuk noticed that he was laughing for no reason. JaeSuk asked him why he was doing that, and the actor honestly (and naively) admitted that his manager told him to laugh a lot on the show.
I think he’s naturally reserved. He was also on “Happy ??” (whoops, I’ve a brain freeze) and again, he couldn’t make jokes like the other guys his age, Henry the violinist, and Roy Kim that singer (and Georgetown grad) involved in that sex scandal.
He’s not quick-witted.
Yeah @packmule3 I watched him on a variety once and he was really awkward. I think he was scouted from Canada? He was supposed to audition as an idol but I think he was either too tall or he wasn’t coordinated enough for dance? Or maybe he just decided that idol life was not for him. Something like that (I forget)…so he ended up pursuing acting instead.
I’ve never watched the ML here so I appreciate the information. So it didn’t just come out of nowhere. 😁
