Happy Halloween @PM3! This is supposed to be a scary post but pardon me for laughing out loud when I saw your inclusion on Dimples! In true BoD fashion, you hit the nail in the head!!! Life can be stranger than fiction or kdrama. Some people can be scarier (even deadlier) than fictional monsters.
My son and I are dressing up as Squid Games guards. Very surprising but a lot of his classmates are familiar with the show. We plan to do some limited treat or treating later this evening.

I’m cat sitting at my daughter’s condo in Seattle. Before she left, I forgot to ask how many trick-or-treaters to expect. My dilemma: buy candy and be forced to eat leftovers, or turn off the porch light and pretend no one’s home. Ottoke?

Happy Halloween @packmule3. In the spirit of BOD you have given us characters to mull over. My favorite is the Zombie Detective. I loved that drama so much and will never look at raw chicken the same way again.
Your inclusion of KSH is interesting as this story has legs and as many plot twists as K Dramas in general.Bottom line to me is that both parties do not come out well. Our anonymous victim was outed and shown to have skeletons in her closet. Our actor, who most on this blog would agree is not the talent his rabid fans make him out to be. Neither is he the man presented in his stage persona. People can draw their own conclusions by reading all the press that is not going away. So to my mind, good riddance to them both. This was a Halloween trick gone bad.

Dear Friends, how do you do?… Happy Halloween!!!
Yesterday I went out to get a stroll and found several persons (mostly teens) in costumes, I had a nice chat with a girl dressed as Kiki form Kiki’s Delivery Service and had a long gushing over the Art of David Bowie with a lady dressed as Ziggy Stardust (using contacts to keep up with his dichromatic eyes!!! 😁 ). It made me feel happy. Also saw a teenage group of Zombies that had a failing of make up, they were linking it to being zombie-lepers so I pointed them that today Leprosy is a stoppable disease thanks to the work of a fellow Venezuelan, Dr. Jacinto Convit whom I had the pleasure to meet (he isolated the bacillus causing it which led to one of the first vaccines against it).
It was a beautiful Sunday and to boot went to an antiques fair and bought a Montblanc Scenium rollerball pen for 5US$ ≧◉◡◉≦ . I was a happy man.
Back to the “monsters” list let me add Ms. Shin Min Ah’s Gu Mi Ho from “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho”. I loved her to death and angsted over her dilemma. She stirred so many feelings in me!!!, guess it was since she was the confluence of an incredibly beautiful woman, a lovely person and an incredibly cute cat all rolled in one ☺️ .

I haven’t seen My Girlfriend is Gumiho in full; just snippets. But SMA’s Gumiho is IDK ethereal(?). Have also yet to watch Squid Game, but can also count the big doll as a Halloween costume.
Can’t choose one. Will go with Mystic Pop Up Bar with Weol’s fabulous modern hanboks and Master’s Sun with my fav I see dead people, Tae Gong Shil.I’ll add from The Witch’s Diner Jo Hee-Ra serving up food and revenge.

Dear @OAL, how have you been?. The lady from “Mystic Pop-up Bar” was beautiful but incredibly loud. Also their Episode 2 plot minus odd sound effects and unwelcomed humour was almost High Literature. I didn’t watch “The Witch’s Dinner” so I can’t comment.
That said, your choice of Tae Gong Shil is an excellent one. Loved that at the end in her discussion with the Aunt and her remembrance of her year out of her body it is discovered that she basically took a Bodhisattva Vow, that is she was a Celestial Being incarnated 😀 . The face of the aunt when she discovered she gave grief to such an elevated Existence was one of wonder and of shame.

We did a contactless Halloween this time. Emptied our pantry of all the lollies, put them in little bags in a basket and then left them on the front porch. We got rid of all the bags bar one. 👍.
(TRICK) Mr Dimples saga rages on. His ex has gone to ground. Was she silenced with a payout? 🤔 Convinced to take the fall for his sake? Companies have reinstated him and his face is once more emblazoned on ads. And he is filming a movie in December with Go Ara. As for her “friends” (ex’s) ratting her out by sending copies of the private texts to Dispatch? What “friend” would do that? The sort that gets mentioned in tabloids and gossip magazines. “A source close to XXX revealed to us…” 🤷🏻♀️😑. Just like the Seo YeJi scandal, this “friend” would’ve had to have come from his side. A baby died because of their stupidity. Just because he wasn’t the first to bring up the abortion does not excuse him. He was complicit. He didn’t have the guts to accompany her to the clinic but sent some Hoobae friend to accompany her instead. Then he made her seaweed soup for her recovery. Huh? Don’t you drink that for your birthday? The irony of it. The poor baby never had a chance to drink it.
(TREAT) If there was a case that was an exemplar, then it would be EXO’s Chen. He got his gf pregnant. He revealed this in a post to fans. He called the baby “a blessing” 😘👍. And they wed in a private ceremony. There was fallout. Some fans called for his exit from the group. He went to ground and then entered the military. But he can hold his head high. His conscience is clear. The baby was born in April/May 2020. A little girl. ❤️
@nrllee, I agree with the dubious nature of those released texts. I would imagine that a fair amount of money has been passed around. At the end of the day, the baby is gone and it seems to be down to greed and self-interest by both parties. I can see why the gf has disappeared, though. I’d be afraid of his fans, too. -Not fair that he continues his career while she has to hide.
I agree about Chen. I know that he and his wife have suffered at the hands of ‘fans’ but he did the best thing and I admire him for it.

@GB, thanks for your Thanksgiving greeting. Whether or not the fourth Thursday of November means eating turkey and trimmings, we all have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to the BoD community.
As for me and my family, we are going to be a small gathering. My younger daughter and husband voted for roast duck over traditional Thanksgiving fare, so we’ll be dining tomorrow evening at a Chinese restaurant. My older daughter is scheduled to work on Thanksgiving, but we’ll be joined by my bachelor brother and my husband’s oldest sister (widowed, and a brain trauma survivor who lives in a nursing home). In the past we frequently hosted joint-family gatherings with 25+ people, but by this stage in our lives most of our siblings have married children with children of their own, so have other homes to go to for multi-generation family celebrations.
