Thank you all for being part of Bitchesoverdramas.
As you can probably guess by the timing of the creation of this blog — two days before the new year — I intended this blog as my New Year’s resolution to stress less, and relax more.
I thought it would be a blast tackling Korean dramas. I thought I could accomplish a lot without the presence of the soompi crowd. I thought I would be doing this on my own and I didn’t mind. One of my favorite Latin quotes is “vox clamantis in deserto,” or “voice shouting in the wilderness.”
But every time I look back and see the threads and posts of the past four years, I am grateful that you have found your way to this blog. Sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose. Sometimes, eagerly. Sometimes, reluctantly (like because I threaten to protect a thread, hahaha). Sometimes, one by one. Sometimes, in droves. Sometimes, in peace. Sometimes, in frustration.
But it doesn’t matter how you joined this blog. You’ve become part of my New Year’s resolution.
Here’s our birthday cake on our fourth birthday.
It’s always been a tiered cake because for one, we like to review our kdramas in multilayers, and for another, we speak in many voices, yet we are one in our desire for a deeper appreciation for the shows we watch.
Nobody writes paragraphs and paragraphs of commentaries in this blog, much less digests them all in one sitting, if she (or he) isn’t interested in expanding her/his worldview. Generally speaking, BoDs crave to explore emotions, ideas, and themes, and to make sense of what we’re watching. We love to read other viewers’ insights on the kdrama to broaden our perspective. We aren’t satisfied with just skimming the surface. We research; we list; we translate; we cross-check; we notate; we notice everything. Most importantly, we encourage others to share their own thoughts and ideas when we so generously write our own.
In the coming new year, I hope we’ll continue to grow as a community of caring and thoughtful Bitches. We’ve got each other’s backs.
Happy 4 years filled w/ drama!! I must say that my friends get a kick out of your blog name when I tell them how I found your site. Happy New Years to you all!!
Happy Birthday Dearest Bitches especially to you Queen! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for creating this blog. I’ll be forever grateful because it is a big part of my kdrama, cdrama and dorama life. 🥰
May the New Year 2022 bring us more dramas to love, cherish and squeal from! 🥳🥳🥳
Wishing everyone a Safe and Healthy New Year! God bless us all! 😘😘😘
Aw shucks what a lovely sentiment to start the year with @pkml3. 😍 I love how we’ve got each others’ backs, not only in our drama watching but in our little life’s sharings. 😍
As always, thanks heaps for having us, as we camp out 🏕️ here, making ourselves at home. Like @agdr03, BOD has become an essential part of drama watching for me. Watching would never have been as much fun, except with a like-minded community 🤩 🥰 who join in to consume dramas with gusto, down to sucking on the bones LOL. It’s been barrels of fun.
🥳 Happy Birthday 🎂 indeed and many, many happy returns! 🎂 🥳 Also a Happy and Holy 🙏 New Year to all. 🥳 May all of us here and our loved ones be safe and well! 🙏 Peace and Joy!
😍 🏕️ 🎊 🎈 🎉 🎂 🍹 🍾 🎉 🎈 🎊 🏕️ 😍
Happy 4th! Here’s to many more years of digesting and robust discussions. Thankful for this safe space where I can rant away with like minded folk. 🥂
Happy 4th Anniversary! The discussions are thoughtful and thought provoking. Learning about other points of view as well as bits about other posters’ lives and traditions keeps me coming back. May @packmule3 and all of us have a splendid 2022!
Happy 4th Anniversary!
Thank you for making this Blog @Packmule3! I am grateful that I have found B.O.D last year! I am enjoying so much our conversations and analyses and talking with fellow B.O.D’ers!
Be safe everyone! Let us have a peaceful and interesting 2022 with beautiful moments and amazing dramas to enjoy! Be safe everyone! <3
Happy 4th blog anniversary to you, @packmule3 and to all of us on BoD!!!🎉🎉🎉 I’m so thankful to have found this wonderfully inclusive place to discuss and deliberate on the dramas that interest me and to read everyone’s unique perspectives and analyses.
I feel like I have known many of you here for years and you are my close virtual friends🤗🤗🤗
Thank you, @packmule3, for nurturing this haven – my kdrama viewing would never have been the same without this blog❤ It was a place to look forward to, even through the pandemic and lockdowns, a way to stay connected to dramas and entertainment.
Wishing all of us here a new year full of more dramas to love and discuss🙌
Happy birthday to BOD, and happy birthday to all of you! I am so grateful to have a safe place to speak my thoughts and findings, as well as to research and learn from everyone else whose watching a particular show. I appreciate the discussions and having something to chew on after I read them.
Thank you all for your kindness that you’ve shown to me during this time. Looking forward to more interactions in 2022!
@packmule3 and all of the regular contributors, Happy Healthy Birthday and a world of thanks to BOD for creating and supporting a safe space for discussions about K Dramas and for so much more enrichment from in recipes, philosophy, science, art, literature. And during our fraught time if a modern day plague, you have offered a physically and emotionally safe refuge, giving us all respite from the new insanity of our lives.I occasionally find myself with foot in mouth disease(an idiom in the states for doing insults that are unintentional) but I have learned a lot about civility here.
So here’s a toast to @packmule3 for creating this wonderful place and to BOD for many more years of great conversations….❤️😊
Happy 4th Birthday BOD! It is nice to have a safe space where you can voice your opinions without being bombarded by haters. Thank you Packmule3 – our BOD QUEEN. Still recollect the haters with the “The King Loves” and how we had to use mail to voice our thoughts. The absolute havoc the moderators created and incited division between members on Soompi and siding with others and making the space more hostile.
Thank you for all that you have done for us and wish you and your family a Happy New Year 2022!

May the 4th be with you! Happy birthday BoD!!! Thank you @PM3 for this blog and for this community. So happy to have found you a year ago (thanks to Dosan!) and I love the sharing and connections I have made throughout the year. You have enriched not only my viewing experience but also my life learning. Cheers to many more years!!! Love you all!
Dear friends,
Here we are, in 2022. Another year collectively over, and we’re about to try again. Good luck to us all, and may we keep hold of our fine intentions.
I’m certainly looking forward to more viewing of Asian dramas and discussing the same with the bright minds on this site.
Thank you, and a very happy New Year to our greatly respected BoD administrator and to all my BoD colleagues.
Happy four years of Drama watching, wisdom sharing and in a backhanded way talking about ourselves. In some ways having dissected our Life philosophies with all of you makes me feel that I know you way more than people in my everyday life even if I don’t know you by name or that we will probably never get to meet each other in real life.
Hope 2022 will be better (’cause it will be better… right?) and Happy New Year to all of us! 😀
As a newbie – I am very much enjoying being able to squeeze the juice out of a drama with other BOD members. Thank you Packmule3 for this site and your kind welcome. Happy fourth birthday!
Thanks pm3 for hosting us!! This is the place where I can learn and discuss, without the need to skim through. There are many times when I don’t understand the plots and emotions and I am so glad I found BOD so I can ask and discuss! Thanks for keeping the comments high quality and focus. It makes watching Kdrama so much more enjoyable, with our fellow BODers. Thanks again!!!
Happy Birthday and Congratulations on 4 years of blogging! I always enjoy reading your posts and analysis, @packmule3, as well as the others here at BOD. I find this blog is so unique in providing a safe space for deep discussion and that is much appreciated! I wish you all the best and many more years of great blogging!
P.S. Happy New Year to All!
Happy 4th birthday to Bitches over Dramas! @Packmule3, I’m grateful you started this blog and have shared your insights with us over the years. The people I have met in conversation here are folks whose minds and talents I have come to cherish. My involvement on BoD reminds me of a song I used to sing when I was a Girl Scout: “Make new friends, but keep the old: one is silver, and the other gold.” Friendships I’ve developed here are precious. And I know that doesn’t just happen…it’s because @Packmule3 keeps our standards high while welcoming anyone committed to polite discourse and analysis. No name calling! No personal attacks! No vapid cooing over visuals, chemistry, and oppas! (We can coo, drool, etc. as long as we do it while explaining our reasoning.)
May 2022 bring us worthy shows to watch and discuss, and deepen our relationships as we do so. Wishing health and happiness to all as we take another trip around the sun.
Happy birthday, @packmule3 and all the bitches! It’s been four years? Really? I guess time actually flies.
I remember discovering this blog around He is Psychometric era, thinking “how come a person can write long ass in-depth explanation essay about a kdrama?” and ended up reading every single posts here, silently fangirling with you all, and finally getting the courage to comment here last month.
It’s such a blast reading your comments. I used to always hide the fact that I watch kdramas from people arround me, because I didn’t want to seem shallow. But who knew that kdramas can teach you a lot of things, only if you watch it the right people? You guys make drama watching a much needed learning experience.
Once again, happy birthday! Here’s to many more great years and awesome kdramas to come 🥳🥂
Happy birthday to BOD!!!
PM3 and BOD members make this blog exceptional. The wit, the analysis, the POVs, and the community are all the reasons for making this blog so good. I found kdramas during COVID but this blog elevated the drama watching.
May the New Year bring peace, joy, and health to you and family. Blessing to you all!!
Happy Blog Anniversary BOD! I stumbled across this blog not too long ago while searching for some clarification in regards to Love 020 and I was absolutely blown away by the effort and detailed analysis in your posts! I’ve never felt like I’ve learnt so much! Forget the oppas…I’m a packmule3 fangirl!! 😂 Congratulations on four years, and I hope that 2022 may be filled with lots of great dramas and a wonderful year for you as well!
Happy 4th Anniversary!
Thanks to @packmule3 for creating this space and kept it a safe haven for us! Thanks to all who have participated and shared your thoughts. I have gained so much insights from your generous sharing and analysis. Wishing all a good and safe 2022!
Happy 4th birthday! This is one of my favorite go-to blogs especially when I want to get a deeper insight on the Kdrama I’m currently watching. I love reading your detailed analysis. I appreciate what you do here. Thank you so much.
Cheers to 2022!
