I’m opening this for us, Nrllee and Fern. And whoever wants to join us.
Fern, these are unsubbed YT clips. I hope you can access them over there where you are. Enjoy!
Oh gosh! The trio did go together in the freezing water. It’s their baptism. They’re the improved and energized Young Boys team.
Ravi looked cool going up against SeYoon.
Listen to the background noise here. I’ve never heard the show writer LOLing so hard before. (I don’t think she’s Director Bang.) They don’t need to add canned laughter.
And the final clip. I think guys were complaining about the loud ruckus Inwoo made with his snoring. It could be heard outside their man-cave.
I hope the subs are up soon on viki.
Let’s enjoy the show!
What did you think of this ep? I don’t remember laughing at all. 😑 Somehow S4 members don’t measure up with S3. I don’t think it’s because they don’t have rapport or camaraderie. The games so far are also…I don’t know…they seem predictable and I haven’t found them funny at all? I remember in S3 how the games were often out of the ordinary and I would always end up laughing because of something that was said or done. I think it helped that there was JunHo there. He was the comedian and would always bring in the laughs. And I knew all the members, their little quirks, how they would react to certain situations (how CTH had a morbid fear of ghosts, Defconn who was the worrywart and overthinking). I can see how this PD has tried to keep the dynamic of the group similar. JungHoon is the CTH replacement. I think SeYoon is the Defconn replacement. JongMin is just JongMin. Ravi is the JJY replacement. IW is the DG replacement. DinDin is the odd one out. JunHo was such a character I think it’s just really hard to find someone to fill his shoes. So they had to settle for DinDin who brings a different dynamic. Going into the water also somehow fell flat for me. I will keep watching and hope it holds my interest.
I thought it was funny, especially the bit in the Jungle Dome , which looks like the Eden project in the UK. The plant expert had good comic chops and really held his own against the group. I loved how he gave each of the team a plant that he thought resembled them and why. Except for In Woo, who got a fierce Tiki-type statue based on his rugged looks.
I’m looking forward to the next installment. I haven’t seen the show before, so I don’t have @nrllee’s informed perspective. I’ll watch a few more.
