Did I miss anybody else?
Can I add some:
Jasper Cho (Cho Taek Wan)
Born February, 12 1986
(The one who played as Alex in Start Up.)
Education: Falmouth University.
And
Lee Jae Yoon
Born December 15, 1984
(was watching him in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, as Nam Joo Hyuk’s brother)
Education: University of Toronto and Dongguk University
@packmule3 😂😂😂. That clip about DinDin was hilarious. So he speaks English well too then. I don’t know much about NIW’s background and family. He may talk about it more when he’s on 2D1N. That’s the other thing I like about 2D1N, you find out more about the members. I am more intrigued by Ravi than I am with DinDin. His whining gets to me sometimes.
Thanks for the addition, @moonstar512.
I wonder what happened to Jasper Cho. I saw him in “River Where the Moon Rises” after “Start-Up” but it was only a minor role.
Lee Jae Yoon (Alice, Mother, Weight Lifting Fairy) and Kim Yong Ji (the mute woman from Mr. Sunshine and abused fox from Tale of the Nine Tailed)
She’s not a Kdrama actress, but ethnically Korean and raised in Canada: the incomparable Sandra Oh (the movie Sideways, Grey’s Anatomy, Killing Eve, etc.)
There are a couple of Canadian musician/entertainers: Henry Lau, b 1989. Ethnically Chinese, but he made his career mostly in Korea starting in the SM group Super Junior, now solo. He does a lot of comedy. SM is the agency of Kyung Soo.
A younger one is Mark Lee, b ’99, who works for the SM company as well. He is from Vancouver.
Here’s a clip of both together.
@pm3, Although he is not of Korean ancestry but Chinese, a mainstay of s. KOREAN TV, variety, mus I c and some drama is Henry Lau of Toronto.
I’d also like to see Canadian Korean award winning actress appear in a K movie or crama(just don’t know how well she speaks Korean).
There are a lot more English speakers from the USA and Australia. It is fun to hear good English, no matter what the accent, in K Dramas.
Actress is Sandra Oh.
Ooo I like Jasper Cho’s image, his dad is a popular singer in the 1980s. He seems to do other kind of work that is not always in acting. He’s an art director too so I think it is more behind the scenes work?
