I like that he realises that HR is embarrassed and does not accost her at once but arranges to meet her.
I actually expected SH to be more proactive here than Taemoo.
TM immediately took action and wanted the offender taken out. SH was kinda slow on the uptake.
I like the transition from her thinking about what TM did to TM saying You are fired to the Peeping Tom. It is a transition from imagination to real life.
That company was bankrupt apparently per Hari. 😂
Actually the whole series are all nice places. It’s all new except for the usual company buildings.
Although it’s great that TM is so clear about his feelings, he’s somewhat premature.
And he launches into action immediately!!! Before anything he wants to confess his feelings LOL.
I like this day dream of his. Because we never get to see it otherwise.

After their meeting with the Peeping Tom, and on their way back to the office, SungHoon wondered why Taemoo was so upset about the whole thing.
SH: I feel better now.
TaeMoo: Yes. You seem pretty angry too, Mr. Cha.
SH: What? I think you’re a lot more upset, sir.
Taemoo: What?
Taemoo didn’t realize that he was unusually emotional earlier. But he’d calmed down now — after brushing his hair back.
Taemoo: Well, who wouldn’t be upset in a situation like this?
That comment is ironic. Prior to this scene, Hari and YS were on the phone and Hari was telling her that she wasn’t worried. lol.
Ah there’s a new term that can replace heart fluttering as said by Sungwoon, ‘the heart pounding charm’. ☺️
I like this conversation because it’s honest and Taemoo needed to hear it.
I’m glad even if Taemoo believes that he’s got it all, he realises that he needs to show Hari ways to show that he likes her.

The director/editor of this kdrama actually is very deliberate with the way the scenes are edited and ordered. He juxtaposes them for an effect…not just for convenience.
But most viewers will take the editing for granted. But it’s actually harder to make people laugh than to make people cry. Timing is everything in comedies.
I like that TM looked properly at HR first and noted that she hadn’t slept the whole night. But he didn’t prolong the agony. He was quite fair and good as a boss.
Then he goes into ‘bluff’ mode with a secret project LOL if only she knew that his secret project was to date her with a view to marriage.

Part 2 of the conversation between SH and Taemoo. They were in the jewelry shop when SH warned him. Taemoo wanted his opinion on the diamond necklace he was getting for Hari.
SH: Sir, aren’t you taking things too fast?
Okay. I must point that SH turned out to be much faster than Taemoo. He got to first base even before getting to know YS well.
So what’s he talking about?! lol.
SH: To confess your feelings without the proper buildup…
Taemoo: Who would possibly reject me if I said I liked them?
He reminded me of Mr. Darcy of “Pride and Prejudice.”
SH: I like how confident you are but —
Taemoo: (deciding on the necklace) I’ll take this one.
That’s the problem with Taemoo. And this scene highlighted it.
For him, getting a girlfriend/winning Hari’s heart = buying a necklace.
He thinks all he has to do is make up HIS mind that he likes somebody and that individual will just fall in line with his decision to date/get engaged/marry.
But it doesn’t work that way.
As he’ll find out soon enough he can’t use his same old methodical approach when it comes to Hari.
That’s what he’s been doing the whole day. (Or was it just the afternoon?) He prepared for his proposal as if he was doing business.
First, he bought a new suit for the occasion. Then he brought the necklace to go with the proposal. Then he ordered the cake and flowers, rehearsed the whole proposal event with the kitchen staff.
Why he even practiced going down on his knee!
This is how he imagined his proposal to go:
Taemoo: Ms. Shin, do you want to start seeing each other with marriage in mind? I told you, I’m a good at a lot of things.
Okayyyy. As proposals go, the first sentence was pretty standard. I would accept that kind of proposal. But he ruined it when he added that comment about being good at a lot of things.
Noooooo! He sounded too Mr. Darcy-ish. It wasn’t the right time to brag about his superiority. (lol. But at the beach scene later, we’ll see that he didn’t want to brag in front of Hari.)
His non-stop reference to his superiority is seriously detracting from the sincerity of his affection. He must talk more about his affection for her before his pride in himself.
Taemoo then instructed the restaurant crew to come out with the flowers and cake at his signal.
Taemoo: I’ll signal by putting my fingers up to my forehead like this. Thank you.
Lol. His signal looked like a reverse Boy Scouts’ salute to me.

to be honest, I don’t pay much attention to YS’ scenes. 🙂
For now, I’m assuming that the writer has bigger plans for this cousin. Like maybe she’ll come in handy later for the development of YS and SH’s loveline.
To me, this same outfit tells me that YS really has bad taste in clothes if she and her cousin are picking the same outfit. lol. I know that’s NOT what the writer is trying to communicate, though. The writer is making a statement that the same article of clothing can look classy or trashy depending on who’s wearing it. On YS, the clothes look stylish. But on the cousin, it looks faddish.

That lighted up hotel looks like the letter ‘H’ for Ha Ri. She goes there to charge her phone and dry off. Smart girl. Fortunately TM goes back to look for her and sees that building as a beacon of light too, leading him to her.
Hehehe SungHoon, so much for taking it too fast. He must have been trying not be attracted to YS.

On one level, she was saying that he’s weird for demanding to be praised.
But one another, she actually fulfilled his request with that back-handed compliment.

So she answered: Okay, you’re FUNny.

Oh I only realised now while rewatching that the movie’s point was to awaken the desire to be in a relationship. The lady manager said it. I bet her and the colleague are dating. 😁
So Taemoo’s chosen movie had a purpose too.

@agdr03 Yes! I didn’t think of it before, but TM must have really done his research and chosen that movie with care.
@pkml3 I enjoy how natural and unaffected HR is with TM. Even when she had to pretend and lie, she was still her natural self. Their conversations show us that. He has loosened up quite a bit now and is able to just go with her flow and tell her what he’d like, however instead of being able to go slow, HR’s friends push him into bf mode instantly.
Well, it’s only 12 episodes, therefore I heartily approve!!

Remember when Hari was being briefed on Taemoo’s life, there was no mention of past love affairs, girlfriends, relationships, etc.
It would have been on his dossier — if there had been one — because Taemoo wouldn’t want her to trip up if his grandfather asked something about his love life.
Plus, when he talked about how important first anniversary was important for couples, I got the impression that he was talking about it from a theoretical standpoint, rather than a first-hand experience.
I agree. Taemoo’s detailed information wouldn’t miss him having a relationship if he had one.
That’s why he’s learning now. Look at him taking her bag and putting it in the car. He really wanted to drive them.

I like how Hari really took the business in “business trip” seriously. She actually did research before the trip.
Taemoo: Sokcho has a lot of good dishes, so I thought that I might an idea as I’m eating.
Hari: I actually did a lot of research on the famous restaurants in Sokcho. (opening her phone)
Taemoo: (closing her phone) Let’s go to the one that I found first. Give me your bag and wait in the car.
I was also laughing when he opened the door and saw Hari’s face smiling up at him as if she had a brilliant idea to be useful and drive them to the restaurant. lol.
She totally ruined his plan to have a leisurely drive along the coast while enjoying the view because she sped along the highway.
And he couldn’t even complain of nausea from her driving.

He knew only a fool would wait out there for two hours doing nothing…and he was THAT fool. The irony is too funny.
I wanted to say that I totally appreciate what Sunghoon did for YS especially after the peeping Tom incident.

I’m seriously getting infected with her happiness and joy especially when she saw the food truck. 🤩
He’s changing already. Before, no wasting time, now he checks his phone while in a meeting, sits alone while waiting for her and sets a whole plan for her wish to come true.
When Hari and TM reached their restaurant too late…
Taemoo was fine with it because he wasn’t planning on eating there anyway. He already made other plans. It was Hari, however, who thought that the “business trip” wasn’t going well.
Taemoo: Then, let’s wait and come back for dinner.
Hari: No! We can’t do that. Then our meal plans get all messed up.
I found this funny because Taemoo met his match. Here’s someone who’s more obsessive than he is about getting the work done.
Taemoo: Are we here to only eat food?
Hari: Yes. We’re here to eat food so we can come up with a new product.
Taemoo: (oh! he remembers!) That’s true.
He had no choice but to yield to her because he did tell her this was a business trip. I like how he kept tripping up on his excuses to date her. He could get her to go out with him for work reasons, but he didn’t know how to cross over and turn the business trip into a romantic outing.
Oh sorry. When YS needed to go to the bathroom so she got off the car. But Sunghoon followed her and opened the bathroom door for her because it was locked.

@pkml3 that’s true. HR is as meticulous in work and wild about food as he is! They make a good pairing.

I totally loved loved the beach scene… I like that Hari is super comfortable with TM, she forgotten that he is the boss momentarily…
I noticed that TM is really trying his best to make her feel special…
there are many small gestures like lying how he wants to take a stroll along the beach, not wanting the burger van divulge that it was his plan, carrying the food tray(did you notice how he moved the tray away from Hari when she reached out for it?), Listening to her story about hamburger…
My heart skipped a beat at this dialogue (I wondered if Hari’s heart skipped a bit too?)
Hari: I am sorry. I shared too much information. You probably aren’t interested.
TM: No! I’m very interested in you, Ms Shin.
Hari: What?
He saw that she is shocked and said it is his duty as a president to be interested in his employees to put herat ease and causally asked another question to know more about her.
The conversation flows nicely into the fake anniversary date which she shared about her many firsts..
TM then noticed her shoelaces and bent down to tie her shoelaces…while doing so he mentioned how GH and HR are the same … is that a confession?.. is this TM way’s of a build up to a confession?

The bathroom scene suddenly reminded me of Reply 1988 when Taek followed Deoksun to the restroom. They heard of reports of a “Burberry flasher” in town and he followed Deoksun in case she met one. That was sweet.
Oh I’m sure that’s another reason too especially after ppt case. YS was desperate to go to the bathroom because she haven’t been all day because she’s scared.
I remembered that about Taek, definitely sweet.
@packmule3 yes agree with you that TM has met his match when it comes to working…
HR is super task focused when it comes to working…she knows her stuff … the scene when she had to redo the ravioli, she did it professionally and even demanded him to tell her what she needs to do…
I burst out laughing when she told her boss as a matter of fact that they can’t have a nice drive along the beach and sped away to the restaurant …she also firmly told him how their plans are foiled and they can’t waste time..
I totally agree about the beach scene @Anna Tan. It was perfect in a sense that Taemoo was really getting to know her. He knew how to ask the questions and I’ll take the comment about GH and HR as the same in a way that they both had shoe issues and at the same time, he’s accepted both GH and HR as one person.

The beach scene was especially nice.
We all know this is a trope, right? “Twenty-Five, Twenty-One” also had a beach last episode. But what I like about this drama is that it takes a common trope and makes it all romantic again. That’s why even if we’re watching a totally clichéd moment, we’re still moved.
Like this beach scene. I knew they’d walk on the sand again. But I was expecting them to splashing, frolicking in the sand like in “Twenty-Five, Twenty-One.” THAT’s the cliche: that scene in that kdrama. I rolled my eyes at the unoriginal idea coming from that writer.
But the food truck on the beach? That caught me off-guard.
I didn’t see the connection between the burger in her social media and the beach walk.
And I like the segue. First, they were just walking, and Hari was protesting because she was still in her “business trip” mode.
Hari: Sir, I think all of the restaurants are over there.
Taemoo: I wanted to see the ocean while I’m here. We couldn’t because our schedule was so busy.
Hari: I see.
She actually didn’t see. Meaning, she didn’t get what his point was or why his busy schedule would have any bearing on her work schedule. She didn’t get why he was telling her all this.
But as soon as she said “I see…” she saw the food truck. And she became excited.
Hari: Oh! I know that truck. That truck goes to Sokcho and Yangyang based on the owner’s whim. So people say it’s hard to eat there.
Taemoo: Is that so? We must be lucky to have come across it.
Here, I like him here because he downplayed his behind-the-scene maneuvering. It wasn’t luck at all that the truck happened to be there. He made that “luck” happen by his own effort (and money, of course).
Then, he signaled the burger man NOT to acknowledge him.
lol. I like Taemoo and his wordless signals!
Burger man: Well I had a feeling that a handsome couple like you would be right here, waiting for me. So here am I.
Hari: (immediately corrects him) We’re not a couple.
Taemoo: (diverts conversation) What’s the best one here?
Then, while Hari was enjoying the beach view (she forgot the business trip), the burger man and Taemoo talked.
Burger man: I thought it was a prank call at first. You said if I sold you just two hamburgers, you’d pay me an entire day’s profit.
Taemoo: I wanted to do a special event. (gazing at Hari by the shore)
Burger man: She would be very touched if you told her that you called me here.
Taemoo: It would be tasteless if I bragged about it.
And I like this for a couple of reasons.
One, it’s amazing that he made the call himself and organize this date himself. He didn’t delegate it to Secretary Cha. It was his own doing.
Two, we get an insight on how he’ll do these events in the future. The point of these events is not to shine a spotlight on him, or his “greatness” but to give Hari pleasure.
And that’s the right attitude from him that I was waiting for in this episode. 🙂
I’m looking at 15:51 and it’s like a beach wedding. But maybe more renewal of vows because Taemoo is starting anew with his true feelings and Hari is opening up about her childhood.
I was very surprised by YS and SH! How can they move faster than the main leads? Haha.
I was watching the confession scene by YS…and understood why they progressed so fast …
both of them liked each other since the first time they met.. it would be ungentlemanly of SH to not return that kiss…YS would feel more embarrassed if he allowed her to go off after she kissed him.
They are really cute together.

He really tried to not be too abrupt in telling her to get out of the car but he’s trauma’s taken over already. His ears are so red.
Maybe Taemoo rang that hotel (it’s the only hotel and no houses nearby) and asked if a woman came in and describing Hari, that’s why he knew where to find her.
