Get well soon @GB! β€οΈ
Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery
Wishing you a speedy recovery, @Growing Beautifully! Get Well Soon! π
Healing hugs and prayers for you @GB! Take it easy. Take care. π
Yikes @gb. Just read about your fall in the reset comments. A fall is like a car accident in that sometimes the real pain is about 3 days after when all the soreness sets in. I hope youβre over that hump and glad youβre at least able to watch some dramas whilst recuperating. It would be a real downer if even watching caused a headache and you only the changing colors of your bruises to gaze upon π₯΄
It’s so kind. Thank you very much. π
@GB, Wish you to get better!! ππ·πΉπΊπΈπΌπ»
Annyeong to all ya awesome BOD gang π

Thankful for this community.
Wishing you all a happy Last week of April πΌ
@GB, may you continue to heal and feel better. Falling and hitting your head is scary! I’m glad you didn’t get a concussion…or worse. But please go easy on yourself for a few more days. Take care.
@Growing_Beautifully. Get well soon! Wishing you speedy and complete recovery!
Uh oh, just heard the sad news.. π₯Ί
Get well soon GB.
Please eat healthy food and make yourself comfortable, speedy recovery for youu πππ
How absolutely sweet of you @pkml3!! Thank you so much for taking the effort to make me a digital Get Well Soon card with all our friends’ ‘signatures’! I love the orchids too! I’m so touched!
@Everyone, many, many thanks for your good wishes, concern and advice. I feel that I’ve recovered a great deal, and maybe extra fast, because I’ve been well covered by your prayers and wishes.
I deliberately waited for 2 days before mentioning it so that you would not be worried. After 48 hours of functioning mostly normally, it was less likely that I’d have anything serious. As it is, I was up and about since yesterday, and more so today, getting the grocery shopping done (with hubby, we do it together usually). Nobody looking at me would notice anything amiss since even my limp is practically gone. I just take extra care not to comb my hair too hard and to be really gentle with my poor head.
I had a blessed evening today, able to walk to church (200 metres away?) for weekday Mass and took a nice rest after dinner. This post is a most pleasant surprise on my return to my fave, online playground.
I echo @HK_Lady: you are all an awesome BOD gang and I’m thankful for this community. Rest assured that I will take extra care (since I have this silly propensity to fall from time to time) and that I’ll keep recovering slowly but surely. I look forward to watching more fun shows and being with you on several threads.
Once again, I do appreciate all your warmth, hugs, prayers, care and friendship – I feel it sweetly enveloping me – from all over the world. The reason I love this place the way I do, is of course, because of you!!!
@GB,
*mwah*
I am glad you are feeling ok, last night I was pretty worried…
*Hugs*
Hugs and blown kisses back to ya @Cleo! I’m about to rewatch ‘Reset’ Episode 1 now. It’s fortunately short enough to FFD a couple of episodes I think. π
@GB Unnie,
I am going to watch it later. Planning to watch the first two episodes…
I am currently reading a book by Ocean Vuong – On Earth We Are Briefly Gorgeous… β€οΈ
I want to read some pages…
@Growing Beautifully, I hope and pray that you feel completely better very soon.
Thank you my dear @Fern. You take care too!
We’ll limp in tamdem.
*tandem. π€¦ββοΈ
@Fern, why are you limping?
@GB, glad to hear you are healing well.
@GB good to hear you’re recovering well. Praying for your continuous recovery! π
@GB so glad you are doing better. please keep us posted and make sure to continue to monitor your head cause you never know about falls. Big hugs =)
Thank you @Carolina, @Cherry Dee and @Snow Flower. I’m still feeling well and able to work π
You all take care too!! π π π· π» πΉ
Get well soon @GB! Glad you are on the mend. Praying for a complete recovery and no complications!
Get well soon @GB.. Sorry I must have missed your post and was not aware of it. Glad to know you are feeling. I know how painful falls are. My daughter fell while bouldering indoors and broke her ankle the day before Easter. Today she had surgery on her leg and she has a few pins to set the ankle in place and a plate to join the shin bone. Just exhausting.
Take care (eat, drink and rest)π·π· and Get well soon. ππππ°π°
@angelwingssf, my heart skips a beat reading about your daughter. She’s got a challenging recovery ahead of her. As her mom, you must be feeling her pain too. I hope her healing and rehab progress well, and she’s back to her old self.
My younger daughter does both indoor and outdoor rock climbing, but with harness and ropes. It’s hard to not worry…
Happy to hear you’re on your way to recovery, @GrowingBeautifully! My prayers are with you.
Hi @iswap, @grace, @angelwingssf thanks for your good wishes and prayers. I appreciate them very much! π π
Oh dear, your poor daughter, @angelwingssf. I hope the surgery goes smoothly and she recovers well. She has youth on her side.
My son used to do indoor rock climbing like @Welmaris’ daughter, with ropes, for his CCA. In the army he had to march in all kinds of terrain. Kept spraining his ankle until I think it’s a weak spot for him. Yes, parents worry …
@Growing Beautifully, knee problem.
@angelwingssf, my nephew broke his arm doing indoor climbing. Your daughter’s injury sounds bad. Are the pins and plate permanent or will they come out when her ankle has stabilised?
Take care and stay healthy everyone.
@Angelwingssf,
I do hope that everything will be okay with your daughter. My thoughs and prayers to recover well…
My dear @Fern, thank you. I am recovering as well from C19. It takes time but I am feeling better. <3
I love this get well e-card. Thank you. ππ»ββοΈ
I pray for everyoneβs recovery. ππΌ Itβs hard not being in full health. I pray also for the carers. ππΌ
@agdr03, that’s a good thought! Yes, we pray for all the care-givers as well, and for all those who work in healthcare. May they have the patience they need in their work and many blessings in all their endeavours.
Sorry to hear you were hurt @GB, but glad you’re recovering well…
Sending well wishes to the others who are also hurt or sick.
@GB, @Welmaris, @Cleopatra, @agrd03, @Fern, @everyoneelse – Thank you for your well wishes for my daughter. It is too soon to tell what tomorrow holds. I hope her pain is not too much to bear. Right now, she is still numb with her nerve numbing agent. Her plates and pins stay in place. She has done this before (rock climbing) with harness and she has been good. It is not her first time. But the facility they went to did not have any harness and she said it was bouldering (meaning a shorter wall). She fell and thought that it was just an ankle sprain but ended up with a fracture and what not. She even told me not to come to the emergency. Anyway she is recuperating – a lesson learnt.
Everyone take care and stay healthy.
ππΈπΈπΈπΈππ»
Thank you @Lz. Slowly but surely, I’m improving all the time! π
@Cleopatra, I βm glad to hear that you feel better. I had mild C19 at the end of March too. All well except for occasional brain fog. Ha! Good to have an excuse.
@Cleopatra, I’m glad to hear you’re regaining your health after contracting C19. I hope your symptoms weren’t too uncomfortable and will pass completely. You have a busy schedule; I imagine your having to set everything aside during illness adds to the challenge of recovery.
@Cleo, @Fern and everyone who had Covid, my well wishes go with you! I hear differing reports. For some it hardly made a dent in their lives but for others the effects last a long time. Do take care of yourselves and of your knee too @Fern. Yes, we can limp in tandem LOL.
A piece of irony: my husband would rather get natural immunity from Covid than go for a booster shot. He thought he could get it through my daughter who does a temp job (registering patients) at a doctor’s clinic and meets Covid patients often. She even worked beside colleagues who were sick. It is a testament, perhaps to the good quality of the masks, that despite the coughs and sneezes going on, she has not got infected. My husband’s plans have been blasted LOL.
Ah, he should be careful about what he wishes for. I hope that if he does get it, it’s extremely mild. πππ
@Fern, IKR!
Dear @Fern,
So sorry to hear that. I do hope you are feeling better now? Yes, headaches were pretty weird the first days…π΄
Dear @Welmaris,
As it seems, it was the Omicron varation. It hit my throat and nose mostly and I had fever and then not. As @Fern says it leaves you feeling kinda weird. I was tired and sleeping a lot. I guess my body wanted to rest.
Yes, I had to stop everything. Fortunately, there are some things I can do via the cloud, but I am trying not to strain myself, because I know I am not 100% okay.
@GB Unnie, I do hope he will change his mind! I agree with @Fern on that… Although, I was very careful, still I got it from somewhere! I guess I was tired hence that happened. A lot of people I know got sick this past month. Some were mild case, some weren’t…
@GB. I agree with Fern and Cleo. I got it a few weeks ago and I am still very tired after only 1-2 hours of work. It really varies from person to person. My kids are up and running after 2-3 days but I struggle with fatigue and still cough a lot.
@pm3 thanks for putting our names on the pretty orchids!
@GB how are you feeling today?
@Viva, I’m feeling great! Thanks for asking. π
I’ve mostly recovered. The bruise on toe is not noticeable and the head bump is well hidden and less tender. Body aches about gone. I chose to keep moving to keep the muscles loose. I felt that if I rested too much, it would be more painful to start moving. So far so good.
I sorry to hear that you too suffered from Covid and still feel the effects.
I don’t want to be too complacent, but the other thought that came to me was perhaps my family actually did get it, but without the symptoms, and we’re none the wiser!! We did have little coughs and colds, of course, however either our ARTs gave us false negatives or we really didn’t have Covid all those times.
@Cleo and @Fern @Viva – get well soon dear agapimenes!!! C19 hits everyone differently so take as much rest as possible. Healing hugs to you and those that were directly affected by Covid.
@angelwingssf – what a big ouch for your daughter! I also had the same injury 6 years ago, during Easter so this reminded me so much of that situation. My activity was more mundane than hers and it broke my tibia and fibula on the left leg, now with metal plates and pins. The healing was long so I hope she will be patient with the recovery. Key is to do the therapy afterwards as it will help with bringing the flexibility back. She is young and will bounce back. Healing hugs and prayers to her.
@GB, glad you are feeling much better!!!
Cheers and keep safe and healthy everyone!
@GB your guardian angels have protected you! It’s good to know that you’re better. To those with other health concerns like me, I feel you and will pray for you. My son’s depression is getting too long, I am waiting for a miracle! This pandemic shall pass and I hope it is soon.
@Eureka, yes, I thought of my guardian angel too!
It’s my turn to pray for you and your son. Depression is something that’s hard to recover from. I had a colleague who suffered from it. With God’s grace, may we enjoy good and better mental health, and be able to face all challenges with resilience.
Thank you @Janey. Hugs to you and keep safe too!
Thank you @GB, we desperately need that!
@Eureka and son, π π π for you.
Hope you are well dear @GrowingBeautifully!. Thankfully what happened was not as terrible as it could have been and you have been recovering. Please take care!!! =D
BTW @PackMule3 and dear Friends, thanks for including me in the bouquet!!!. Having an unstable Internet service is not unbearable but heck it is annoying.
@Eureka, hope your son will find soon something to reconnect him to the joy of being alive. Does he have a hobby or passion he can use to reconnect with friends?. Hope he will get better soon.
@Cleopatra, hope you get better soon. Please follow your physician’s instructions and take it easy!
@FGB, Thank you for coming here to let us know you’re back online. Thanks also for asking after me.
Just have the tender head that’s healing well and a bit of soreness where the body hit the ground. I’m fine π
My husband had his booster shot yesterday and we’re waiting to see if there are any side effects. π
@Eureka, I will add my thoughts and prayers for your son and all your family. I hope that he is feeling better soon and gets a lot of support. Depression is such a hard thing to really understand and it’s not only the person involved who suffers.
