The thread is now open.
Who’s the love interest in this drama? The sassy girl/daughter of the ADA or the bright girl/classmate from college?

Or does it even matter in this drama?
Enjoy the show!
Thanks @pkml3. I forget that this Show is aired on Fridays and Saturdays.
Of the 3 females in Hee Woo’s life, he showed Hee A the most interest, therefore she’s the likely one.
Gyu Ri might have liked him a bit but saw him more as a mentor and study mate.
Han Mi also needed his help to improve her grades. She grew to like him although I don’t think she did at first or in his first life.
The gambling den girl, Do A Jin wasn’t interested in him but she did ask him if he was interested in her since he paid her extra attention and met her privately. I don’t expect to see her again.
This is the now ‘no-longer-usual’ harem trope. It’s good that he is a nice guy with the ladies and is single-minded about getting even with CTS, rather than being a player.
I am watching this show because of the action scenes and heroic vibe of ML. I also like the business aspects involved in real estate. The dirty politics are annoying but that’s how it goes in real life. The layers of cover up just to be on top of the game are suffocating too, but I can handle that.
I wish that I had seen this type of drama when I was younger. I was so naive when I started working after graduating from the university that I never had the chance to protect myself against those scumbags in the government service.
I am waiting too who is the love interest here among the ladies! I am also eager how the ML will succeed without becoming a monster as his enemies.
Hee Woo is in Seoul and has garnered the interest of CTS who wants to bring him over on his side so as to eliminate a future threat.
A pity that it’s Han Mi’s father (she’s the illegitimate daughter) whose CTS’ lackey. I suppose she’ll have divided loyalties, or she may hate her father and half brother enough to stand firmly on HW’s side.
Chunha is also under CTS’s influence and Hee A is the daughter of Chunha’s Chairman Kim Gun Young. The divided loyalty will be more difficult for her since she is affectionate towards her father and likes her brother and his kids.
A question mark pops up over the ‘guardian angel,’ Lee Min Soo. He’s a mystery since he did not ‘exist’ in Hee Woo’s first life. He has deliberately inserted himself into Hee Woo’s life over and over, as if to infiltrate his team. He was the one who was supposed to bring a case to trial but it was taken away from him by the senior Jang Il Hyun. We wonder why. But the questionable thing is the change in his expression from bonhomie to something not so friendly when Hee Woo’s back was turned. Is he indeed a guardian angel or the other kind of angel?
I enjoyed Ep 8 quite a bit. I was marveling at Hee Woo’s machinations in taking down each person from behind the scenes. He’s a fantastic puppet master, now that he’s got a bunch of puppets who are grateful/on his side and well placed to help him.
In a sense, what the lady Grim Reaper said about being a greater monster to bring down a monster is not entirely off, but at least HW uses his prior knowledge of criminals fairly. He allows them to give in to temptation (instead of trying to stop them) in order to catch a bigger fish. He orchestrates the downfall of individuals because they broke the law, but he does so through sufficiently just means, although his actions in bringing people together, in order to bring them down, smacks somewhat of deviousness. Ultimately, he did not make those characters break the law, they chose to do so, or had already done so on their own.
This is the modern day version of the court politics of costume dramas, which I usually disdain, but I found LJK’s version of manipulating the bad guys to do exactly what he wanted quite riveting.
Enjoyed Ep 7 and waiting for 8 to be fully subbed.
I continue to enjoy the way the plot thickens and the power games unwind and reveal themselves. Our hero is playing a very clever game at the moment and needed to be at his most alert when facing Cho Tae-Sub at the secret club meal.
I enjoy watching our protagonist thinking on his feet and taking action in situations he hasn’t been party to before. I find myself slightly on the edge of my seat – will he continue to succeed in playing out the chess game?
@GB – I thought that Sang Moo’s expression was concern rather than the unveiling of evil intent. But he is an ambiguous figure so we will see!
Re: love interest – can you be a love interest in a support role? If so, yes it is confusing that there are so many possibilities.
Hi @pkml3, tonight Ep 9 will air. Would you prefer to just make this thread a 4 episode thread or open a new one? Thanks, either way!!
Thanks for the reminder, @GB. Just wait a moment. I’ve my personal iPad with me. I’ll try to open one.
