Thanks for opening the threads @pkml3. I’m having trouble keeping track of which show airs when. LOL.
Same here! I’ve to redo my drama calendar. It’s still on 2521 and Business Proposal schedule.
And I’ve to space them out because I don’t want to “spam” the blog’s followers’ emails.
@pkml3, I thought you usually get the auto posting of threads going so that it gets less crazy towards the weekend.
I only know that there’s something on Fri, something on Sat and something on Wed that I’m watching, but I seldom remember which shows they are!
@GB,
I haven’t set up the auto-postings for the new crop of kdramas. I tried to do it last week, but realized I posted My Liberation Notes too early and 2Days, 1Night a bit late. 😂
I’ve to fiddle with the dates for next week kdramas.
🔪🔪 Do better, packmule3, or else! 🔪🔪
Kalispera my lovely Ladies!
I am eager to watch what it will happen next!
I am pretty sure that we will cry when the good guys will have to save the day regarding that bad spirit!
I find, to my surprise, that the Show I wanted to watch is this one, and I have to admit that I enjoyed Ep 5 a whole lot more than I enjoyed any Show since “25, 21”.
It’s zany, it’s silly, it’s tropey … but the comedy is on point and the relationships are slowly progressing.
– The grumpy guy who gets grumpier as he gets jealous is fun to watch with PHJ as CCW. JKJ as Go Seul Hae remains clueless but ever delightful.
– The stage show was one I’d really have liked to have watched in full, with or without the ghosts.
– More clues to the over-arcing mystery of the death of SH’s father and to the spirit possession are slower in coming, but there are a few and at least, besides the crime of the week, we have the main big mystery to solve.
It’s a fun, easy watch, with a developing love triangle and no-brainer crimes. Just right for a relaxing weekend.
I really really like it and I do hope we get to see more in the next episodes…before the baddie makes his move.
Hi @Cleo, it’s great to have a show that’s just silly and enjoyable, isn’t it? Yes, I’d like to see lots of sweet developments and the cementing of the ‘partnership’ before the evil spirit gets around. I’d like the ghosts to have a big role to play in taking down the evil one as well. I hope that fighting against the big, baddie will bring them all even closer together, appreciating each other more and make them more family rather than just employees or people/characters/ghosts who owe each other stuff.
I’m watching. Currently at 22:00 of episode 06.
And at this exact time… our SML play dirty, kind of “start-up elevator scene”. 🙂
The confrontation FL / SFL in the store was short but gold. Each line funny.
“One bottle, it will be enough?”, then she buy her more soju bottles.
I finished the episodes 5 and 6. A bit less comedy in episode 6.
One iconic scene: the magic show with ML and FL, romantic x5!
Romance is nice in this drama, with good feeling too.
The right pace was done about that, by small touches.
@WE, it was a relief, that for once in a drama, the character who knew the true situation actually gets to tell the character who needs to know, and things get sorted out properly. So the General Ghost at least makes up for sponging off CCW by setting the record straight for SH. Then only the romance can take off on a proper footing. They are quite cute… adults who are bashful like kids. One assumes that it’s CCW’s first time being in love.
He’ll have a tough time jettisoning the persistent young Shaman Yei Ji, though. LOL.
Hey @GB Unnie,
I thought I have answered to you…I guess not. 🤔😐
Yes, I am glad they didn’t drag this up until later on. We needed that resolution, in order their relationship to flourish!
I think that they will be all involved since they all went to her house to talk with SH via that gadget! I am also happy that the General Spirit said the truth to her and she listened to him, even though she cannot see him. She can feel their Spirits though and she knows they are there!
I guess SH was biased against Shaman Cha – the grandfather, until someone proved her that her father was actually a hero and her foster father an impostor!
I am glad we got to see what really happened ten years ago in that full moon night.
We need to pay attention to the details shared with the audience.
The evil one / baddie is feeding himself with the energy of people who have channels with the divine and SH is his next target. Definitely, they will have to save her in the future! Including that young Shaman girlie!
@GB, The resolution of the misunderstanding was too short. It needed more dramatism (one more episode). But it’s like the writer didn’t have enough content to stick with that. It would be filler scenes (like in old school dramas). So it was better to solve the situation fast. I really feel that because I’ve too rushed situations in my script. And the reason why I can’t give it more length and weight is the general plot that moves on. As I have nothing to tell, I prefer the situation short than add something boring.
While that, the writer got many good ideas about how to solve the situation. Logic, the general know everything, so he helps fast. Funny device from the geek girl, with pixelised animated screen (like in video games she likes). There is a good cohesion in all that. The writer have a good ability to bounce back on anything to enrich the situations. Correlations.
Else, it turns out to be my favorite on-air drama. I can watch some other weekly but it’s always the first one I watch. I delay a bit Love All Play, maybe I would enjoy more as a binge watch. Again my life don’t hook me so much after a while. Liberation Note is heavy. It’s a problem, I can’t deal with many weekly dramas.
Now, I would like to see the SFL and SML continue to be painfull, for the comedy. 🙂
But there is a subplot about the SFL and her admirer. The SML is alone. Will he be as bad as his father, later? This comedy story is about to jump in terrible events, death and sad ending at any time now.
@WE, the next few weeks I may not have the bandwidth/interest/time to do much with dramas. So I’m taking the easier way, ie, keeping quiet and letting others put up their thoughts … then I’ll see if that triggers any new thoughts in me. 😆
I understand what you mean about not having anything to add to lengthen the time of angst, and so going on to resolve it quickly. It’s definitely a better policy than eking it out with rubbish. Veteran viewers will complain.
Same here about fave drama currently airing that I’m bothering to watch. I also started finding Again My Life getting tedious. I did watch the last 2 episodes but have no energy or interest to comment on them. As expected the great easy set-up for the ML will give way to some failures before he gets a chance to rebound. I think the many conversations in those boring prosecutor offices/interrogation rooms started to wear me down.
I hope this Showtime drama can bring back its LOL comedy. And of course we can expect to see the development of the romance with 2 corners of the so-called love triangles probably getting in the way.
Yes, I’d forgotten about the police officer who likes the Shaman girl.
I’ve hopes that the SML will be more consistent and not be a daddy’s boy. He generally seems quite level-headed and reasonable (except when jealous?)
I’m feeling that not enough is shown to us about the evil spirit and the guy who is possessed, like what will it take to get rid of him and what’s his aim in getting the energies of ‘good’ people. Or maybe I just missed some important bits. 😉
@GB, no, the only thing we know, he’s a “positive energy” vampire. I don’t know what it does. Logically, it could give him a cheat for nirvana? But why would the divinities allow this? Or it’s like a drug for him? He becomes more powerful after that? Kickening? Highlander? Where is Duncan MacLeod when we need him?!! 🙂
Or as an evil one, he’s supposed to go to hell after a number of years? But the karma vampirism allow him to stay on earth, as long as he kills and eats karma?
I’ve almost caught up with you all.
Yes. The Full Moon Murderer is feeding himself with the energy of people he abducts and kills. The female lead, SeolHae, is in danger because her energy is phenomenal.
My problem with the male lead, Cha ChaWoong, is I don’t see him as a vulnerable hero as long as he has trio of ghosts and his ancestor spirit by his side. When he faces off with this Full Moon Murderer, it’s five against one. Technically, the Full Moon Murderer should lose to them because he’s outmanned, or out-spirited in this case, by CCW and his magic company.
The fight will only get interesting when CCH loses his companions one by one, and fights the Murderer on his own power, on his own steam.
Hi @Cleo, yes, you’ve got a point there. The shaman girl may also be targeted and even her grandmother, since they know about the evil spirit and what to do to contain him. I guess it will take a very powerful shaman (the unwilling CCW???) with the help of all his gang and the General ghost who failed previously, to take evil spirit down.
@pkml3, so far we haven’t seen the full extent of evil spirit’s powers. If it’s anything like some of the other shows that make the bad guy practically invincible, then CCW may really need all the help he can get.
CCW himself has not shown any real potential at anything, except to see ghosts and put on a show. I wonder what power, if any, he really has. His grandfather seemed to think that he had it in him to be a shaman too.
Episode 7 – Quite a lot happened this episode. Lots of fun and good laughs until about mid-way when the tone shifts.
The first half was laughably adorable. We were treated to CCW as a ‘sweet’ drunk and we can guess (but were not shown) what went down between him and SH on their drunken walk home.
Show turns the ML strong guy trope on its head. The strong guys seem to be everyone else but CCW, our ML, LOL. He tries too hard to be cool, so that he ends up just cold like ice.
Second FL romance may be taking off. At least her beau has initiative!!!
LOL the matchmaking efforts.
LOLOL CCW and the cucumber face mask.
We have had hints before but this week we enter reincarnation territory. The past lives of CCW and SH are of course intertwined. General Spirit will have to succeed in getting them together or fail in his bid for a happy afterlife.
I’ve been waiting for the evil spirit to take more action. It’s been lurking but not doing much for some time. It finally gets going this episode but matters become confusing at the end.
LOL the growing family of spirits at CCW’s place. Are we adding on a Grim Reaper now?
Kalimera @GB Unnie,
I am a bit emotional since yesterday. I watched first the latest episode of Tomorrow and then Episode 7 of Showtime.
Tomorrow’s episode was heartbreaking. I got sad and mad at the same time. I am glad I am watching this. It is truly an eye opener to many injusticies that happen in our societies.
At least, Showtime gave me some laughts and made me realize that things are progressing in their own way.
@GB I laughed so much in that face lifting proposal! LMAO! I was seriously? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What we have learned so far:
Cha and Ko are reborn after 2000 years. This info is from the General Spirit himself who remembers his previous life. Those two were lovers and they were not that simple either.
Ko was a Princess who bears the Dipper sign and who was Cha?
It was not revealed to us! As it seems, Cha himself is starting to remember that previous life as well. He is watching her being murdered and he is blaming himself.
Also the bad spirit is the man who killed Ko 2000 years ago. They are all linked together. Tonight we are going to find out more.
As for Head Yoon (Hari’s mother from Business Proposal) I was pretty sure that the new hubby was not that innocent. (Yes, that was Britney…*winks*)
Hi @Cleo, I’m glad that you got some laughs out of Showtime after the tears of Tomorrow.
This Show knows how to draw out the laughs. It’s nice to see that Park Hae Jin does not mind making a fool of himself.
Yes, CCW and SH were a couple in their past lives. They are inextricably connected, likely by something that General Spirit did, but they may just be ‘fated’ to be together.
Yes, “Ko was a Princess who bears the Dipper sign” but we do not know who or what role Cha played in her past life. I assume the General was supposed to be protecting the Princess or something, and he failed.
CCW seems to be getting images of his past in his dreams. They are probably memories of his past life but he may dismiss them as dreams for some time. He’s full of denial. Denies that he’s in love with Ko, or that he’s physically weak, … so he’ll probably deny that those are his memories.
Yes, it seems the killer of the past is the Evil Spirit in the present.
It looks like whatever was unresolved in the past needs to be resolved in the present with Evil Spirit and General Spirit maybe going head-to-head… if not, General Spirit may not get the last bit of good karma to achieve a happy afterlife.
Question: what is the reference to ‘Britney’ about?
Hey @GB Unnie,
About your Question:
After I wrote that last sentence, I realized that it was a lyric from a Britney Spear’s song. “Ooops I did it again.” LOL
I totally suggest to watch “Tomorrow” when you feel like it.
It is one of my favorite shows for 2022. Seriously, the stories are arising awareness about the evils people do to other people and the consequences some have to bear and live with.
Back to Showtime, I think that Cha Cha Woong will save the day, when he will realize his full potential. If that is fate, yes I agree they are destined to be together no matter how many lifetimes have passed or will pass in the meantime.
You are right, all those things that were unresolved in the past need to be resolved in this lifetime. Also, I believe and I have written it in the Episodes 1-4 thread, the reason the General Spirit is gaining virtue is because he has to fight with the Evil Spirit. His divine energy must be in full force, if he has to help Cha Cha Woong.
I am glad that Park Hae Jin is doing this. As it seems, he is enjoying it!
Oh gosh! Episode 8 was to die for LOL. It was so good to see everyone collaborating well. The heart-warming moments were sweet and hilarious… would you believe a happy reunion of Grim Reaper and General? Loved all the hijinks of these two and I’m really impressed by General’s ability to kick the hackysack (we used a local term, ‘chatek’ for that little thing and it was made with feathers and a rubber base). I think I only ever managed to hit 15 times but he achieved 30,000 LOL.
The breakup dance between crooks was really the epitome of comedy. Couldn’t believe how they acted those intimate dance moves with straight faces while delivering a dialogue of threats. Loved it!
It was supremely satisfying that one main story gets a proper resolution, while a couple of side stories, plus the big reincarnation-revenge arc remain to continue until the next episodes.
CCW is getting visions of his past life but it’s still unclear who did what. We only know that Evil Spirit, CCW and SH were outside and there was threat of a fight of some kind, in which SH got killed (by mistake?)
CCW’s growth is becoming evident as he starts to show more care for others. I hope he really has deep pockets because he’s lost so much money since he and SH started collaborating, and each episode he ends up spending so much more!!!
This is a great show to just relax with the ridiculous, trusting that the horrible evil spirit will be stopped before he kills too many people.
Kalimera @GB Unnie!
I enjoyed last night’s episode so much. I am glad that Head Yoon didn’t die in the end. It was a miracle indeed!
I didn’t like the preview though. I do hope that Ko will realize that Cha is in her heart and not her Sunbae…
@Cleo, yes I was so happy that the names were switched in Grim Reaper’s card and Chief Yoon survived.
Stuff I liked:
CCW and SH really team up properly and are on the same page all the way.
I liked the big hug she gave him at the end.
The fact that CCW’s expertise in tricks and magic where there’s misdirection and an accomplice, sets SH on the right path to look for the accomplice.
The in-ear device that lets SH hear the ghosts speaking although she can’t see them
A Grim Reaper who missed the chance to play with his friend in the amusement centre, and who loved the merry-go-round. And their installing a love lock on the top of Namsan Tower.
Ghost Ma Dong Chul’s thug background that gives SH inside information on a thug named Big Foot.
Turning the tables on the crooks who fooled Chief Yoon by deceiving the doctor and the husband that Chief Yoon was dead with zombie accessories, LOL.
In his past past life CCW had power to blast his enemies who were around him and to make a person levitate. The question is if he has the same power now, even without being aware of it.
Not Shown:
We saw that Hee Soo got a bit slashed with the knife that Big Foot had, but we didn’t see how HS was after husband fell off the roof.
I post first then will read your comments (I couldn’t before because spoilers)
Episode 7.
*** Comic scenes. ***
– Questions to get into the police force.
– “The least flashy suit I have”.
– “You can’t do anything.” So true, lol!
– Visual “millet shell”. ^^
– The actors, the expressions, how they drink, “is it French?”
– Couple drunk scene. And a magic trick without ghost (he knows some basics)
– The song for miss Cheon (jealousy!). So much cheerfulness in this drama!
– After the almost-confession, her roommate: “What, you saw a dead body today?”
– The argument between the grim-reaper and the comatose woman.
The old shaman: I’m not sure. Normally she can’t see ghosts. But the scenes are shot as if she can see the general. So?
Killer talking to himself in the mirror, reminds me of Norman Osborn in Spiderman 1.
**************************************
Episode 8.
Plot-twist!!! It wasn’t very clear the previous episode, because when she holds out her finger, it looks more like she’s pointing to the vitals screen.
But, so her husband is the culprit! Ahahaha, excellent. I didn’t see that coming, although before that, the husband seemed oddly cowardly. I have to say, the main demon’s daydream was perfect for muddying the waters.
The main demon swallows a guy’s karmic energy (I’m calling it that for now).
The shot right after when he tilts his head: it’s a similar shot to the one of the drugged cop in the movie “Leon”. The demon is obviously shooting up with it, it must be like crack to him. My hypothesis is that it gives him some kind of super-power too (and so he has an advantage over the heroes). We saw it on the cliff scene: he can use psychokinesis (move objects at a distance).
Guest star: The grim-reaper is the actor Shin Hyun Joon. I was sure I had seen him but I can’t remember. He’s mostly in movies. It was in Stairway to heaven, of course!
*** Comedy. ***
– The grim-reaper who can’t get respect.
– Followed by an argument about the administrative rules of the time of death.
– He gets bought with a feast
– The bumper cars: they shouldn’t be empty since they are invisible??!
– The ball in the face, just as he was about to stroke her head.
– The lack of modesty of the young shaman, she recognizes herself with all the positive criteria (while she has only half of them).
– Bed scene (pretext of bad reception of the radio, lol).
– The dispute of the guilty with the crook, burlesque!
End of the episode. The use of reincarnation is clearer now.
As guessed… the demon is indeed 2000 years old. So it should be an enemy of the general.
I’m having trouble figuring out when the FL and ML were incarnated. Logically 2000 years before, but with the costumes it’s hard to tell.
**************************************
Order of scenes. I didn’t pay attention because I’m just watching the story without analyzing. But here is an interesting situation.
1 – FL discusses a plan with the ghosts. The woman has to die for the culprit to make a mistake.
2 – The woman dies in the presence of the culprit (we suspect that it is a scam).
3 – FL and ML follow the culprit (scam confirmed).
4 – The geek ghost turns on the vitals screen.
5 – Nurse finds that the woman is not dead. “how did this happen?” response…
6 – Now! CONTINUATION of 1, discussion scene of the plan.
7 – Flashback to 2, woman dies but con from Geek Ghost (with Voice-Over)
8 – Continuation of 5, the doctor finds that she is not dead.
Chronological order is:
1, 6, 7, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8.
This situation lasts only 3 minutes 30 and is limited in time. We are not looking for a scene arrangement as complex as on W where the scenes are cut up and spread over much longer periods. We have a scene order to create more surprise than the chronological order. The effect of surprise is however rather weak because we can easily guess the con.
To create more suspense, one possibility:
Remove 1, don’t say that the only way to get the culprit is to force him into a slip. But on the contrary, say that the death of the woman meant the end of the investigation. (1 bis)
Remove 3, do not show the LF and ML following the culprit. But rather show them arriving in panic in the room. (3 bis)
Then unroll the order of the scenes afterwards. For example:
1a, 2, 3a, 5, 1, 6, 3, 7, 4, 8.
The position of 3 can be changed, I put it there because it makes the transition between the scene in the house and the one in the hospital.
@Cleo, @GB, you made a good resume of many points.
I just bounce on that: The hug scene in the hospital room!! It was good.
@WE This is heck of an enjoyable watch. Just laugh and forget about the nonsense.
I agree with your re-ordering and re-shooting of the scenes. That would create more suspense. All happening in 1 episode is fine. (My complaint comes up when it happens across several episodes). Perhaps even spanning 2 episodes is also ok. But don’t leave the viewers in the dark for too long. Let them play along and guess with sufficient right clues instead of hiding much.
@GB,
The order of the scenes is different from the preservation of a mystery. How long does a mystery last? It depends. Probably in a classic detective story, until the end, when we know the culprit. ^^
Split scenes rarely last more than an episode, because the author needs a limit to work with. An hour for SJJ, and here less than 4 minutes. And for my part, very few splits in this genre, rather a few scenes reversed in pairs or flashbacks.
Often this can be extended to the beginning of the next episode (resolution of one of the cliffhanger of the previous episode). Afterwards, if a scene is used again, it will be more like a flashback (like, we see the end of the scene)
I finished the drama Law School. There is a crime scene with drawers. With regular flashbacks throughout the episodes that show everything that happened that we didn’t know before.
While watching episode 8 of FNOS, I wondered if the husband’s accomplice could be a ghost. That would be very annoying because there would be no way to prove guilt. This gave me an idea of kdrama…. tatataaaaaa, attention, concept!!!
Ghost police: a (secret?) unit of the Seoul police that stops crimes committed by ghosts or by humans with ghosts as accomplices. They must have prisons for ghosts. A special court, etc. A parallel justice, but official one! One can imagine that one of the living policemen teams up with a ghost policewoman.
It needs probably a better name than “Ghost police”. Something with “team”, “special”, maybe “bureau”. Yeah, BUREAU!!! 🙂
@WE your scriptwriter muse is working overtime! The ideas are flowing bountifully. Are you going to add a Ghost Bureau to Alien Surgeon?
@GB, how could I? I don’t even have enough time to make corrections on Ws2.
Your title look fine. Ghost Bureau. Some politicians know it exist, but only a very few ones know the truth. For the others, “ghost” mean more it’s a kind of secret service. When it’s the real meaning, ahaha! The recruitment process is difficult, you have to find agents who can see ghosts!
The story can start when a new agent is recruited. Someone who can see ghosts and stop a criminal ghost for example. The Bureau team was working on this case by chance. And so, they think this might be a good recruit. Through this character, we can discover the universe of the drama.
The FL is going to recruit the ML. Only he doesn’t know she’s a ghost. He falls in love at first sight. And later he learns the truth (of course)… no luck, she is a ghost, impossible love. Later she falls in love with him too. And the only way he can join her is to die and become a ghost. Tragic ending: when this happens, the grim reaper takes her to the afterlife.
However, this is not very logical, because if people who see ghosts can also touch them, in this case… uh, he doesn’t have to die to go to bed with her. 😀
Kalispera @GB unnie and @WE!
@GB unnie,
I think we get to see how good they are together, because of their bond from their previous life.
@We I agree the hug scene was pretty good and it reminded of another hug in another show but I don’t recall where I watch that! LOL
Without knowing @GB Unnie, I told you before that Cha hasn’t reached his full potential, as it seems from the 2000 years ago timeline he has magical powers as well.
@WE I think that @GB Unnie and I are doing a good team! As for the husband I wasn’t shocked. I knew from the beginning that he was tricky, because when they are in the orphanage in Episode 5 he was asking her to sell in front of everyone.
@GB Unnie I liked that zombie trick! I am glad they are showing us technicalities of a magic trick, in order to understand what is happening! I am glad the ghosts help them that much!
Let us see what it will happen this weekend.
Ko, please don’t choose your police officer sunbae. After so many years, he realized that he cares about you, when Cha came into the screen?
Not a healthy way to treat your crush. Just saying!
@WE, what is not logical is that he cannot tell she’s a ghost. He’ll have to know when he is not able to touch her. He’ll pine after her in spirit form, wishing there was a woman in the flesh just like her. In kdrama happily-ever-after… she’ll be someone in a coma and will wake up so that he’ll have a girlfriend ‘in the flesh’ rather than only in spirit, so we get our happy ending.
@Cleo, yes, we make a good team discussing the shows that we like. I felt the same away about the husband when he was so desirous of selling the land… yes… in front of everyone.
Hah that Hee Soo Sunbae. I didn’t think he actually cared about SH romantically before. He just does not want another guy around the girl who doted on him for years.
Kalimera @GB Unnie,
It is true that we are good team. I remember our #DAYS days when we were saying the same thing almost the same time! 🥰
Yes, the husband was sly, that was the feeling I was getting!
I got the same vibes from HeeSoo Sunbae. He is jealous that he doesn’t get Ko’s full attention any longer. If he really liked her, he would asked her going out for a very long long time. So, the timing is off. I do hope she will realize that he is not a bf material.
Afterall, she is swooning over Cha! 🤩🧡
@Cleo I was trying to recognise the faces of the men in the past life. One of them looked like Sunbae Hee Soo. He might be a grey instead of white/pure and good character, depending on whether he thinks he is losing out.
Now he’s stuck with a lousy, weak, self-aggrandizing father who’s letting bad guys go. Not sure which side he’ll choose when it comes to the crunch. At the moment, he still seems like a good guy.
Ghost Bureau. Random ideas.
(it can’t be the coma idea, already done in Let’s Fight Ghost)
Maybe there would be first the need to fix fantasy rules. When a ghost can touch something or not, etc.
First scene: A grandmother is doing some cleaning in a big room (it could be a pool room). Suddenly her cat gets scared and runs away. CRASH-BLANG!!! Police SWAT units come in from all sides, kick down the door, break the windows attached to ropes. They all point their guns at the grandmother. Huh??
This switches to the “ghost” view, the room is full of rogue ghosts. Then battle, the grandmother does not understand anything.
FLASHSCREEN with title: “GHOST BUREAU”. (shattering sound)
It continues with the interrogation of one of the hoodlums. He reveals where their leader is hiding.
This is followed by a scene in the countryside. A rough and tough farmer is tending to his field (digging, etc). An old woman is next door, very annoying, insists that he gets married, while he is busy with hard work. Then we understand, it is his “ghost” mother. The guy arrests the leader of the ghost mobsters by accident. Then they come to recruit him. For this, the ghostly woman FL is sent.
Idea for the two main characters (random names):
Joon Pal: A strong, gruff, brawling peasant with no manners or polish. Has a very bad habit of spitting on the ground often. Swears regularly, eats with his fingers. Does not respect the customs, rude. Ridicules people who are pretentious, or who can’t do anything with their hands.
Sang Eun: A kind of princess (either from Joseon or from a Cheabol family). Forced to serve in the Bureau to stay on earth while getting some kind of redress. Useless in the field, she goes up in rank in the recruitment and relationship department. Very delicate, respects good manners to the excess. Can’t stand rudeness. Fanatic about protocol.
For some reason, they have to be forced to work together. ^^
For example, Joon Pal refuses to join the bureau. Sang Eun is forced to come back and insist. Finally, the “ghost” mother sees a good marriage party for her son. She goes to the Bureau and says that Joon Pal would be willing to commit if he can team up with Sang Eun. (This is not true, but she will find a way to convince him afterwards). Of course, this does not help anyone. Especially not Sang Eun who will be obliged to be a field agent, whereas until now, she had been able to dodge this painful situation.
It can be other ideas. For example Sang Eun is an investigator, but not for violent crimes. More like financial, vice, etc. And she needs a partner because she lost the old one? These can be dangerous investigations, and so she needs a kind of bodyguard.
The situation can also be the opposite. The ghost is Joon Pal. And in this case, Sang Eun is a living who was forced to work for the Bureau.
No more ideas. I have to finish Again My Life episode now. 😉
@GB Unnie,
I have to check the flashbacks as well. If I manage to capture it, I will upload the picture!
We shall see how he will be. I think that so far he is with the good buys but we can have our eyes on him, if he turn out to be grey…
