A Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving @pkml3 and to all your friends and family. I’m thankful for online friends to chat with, for thoughtful discussions and new insights, for loved ones and a relatively peaceful part of the world where I am.

I pray for all those who lack any of these great blessings. 🙏

On a lighter note, I’m thankful for dramas and this blog. As someone else said… dramas keep me sane!! 😅 😂 😇

As we begin another Advent this weekend, may we prepare well to welcome our King of Kings. Peace and Blessings to all!

Happy Thanksgiving to those who are celebrating! Stay safe and enjoy the holidays with your loved ones💕

  5. @GB, if I didn’t have kdramas, I’d probably need a therapy dog for de-stressing. 🙂

  6. Happy thanksgiving BOD!!! I have been in hiatus due to many personal circumstances and I miss all of you. Hope everyone is doing well and healthy. Cheers chingus!

  11. It’s the day after now. I hope everyone who celebrated it had a great Thanksgiving. I had a preliminary British Christmas dinner with my family, which is pretty much the same thing minus the pumpkin pie.

  12. Yes, seconding Fern, I hope all of you enjoying the celebration had a great Thanksgiving!

I related to the comments grateful for K-dramas (I will add C- too), sanity and therapy dogs – @GB and @Packmule3!

  13. Happy Thanksgiving, @packmule3 and everyone here❤️ I’m thankful to this blog and the connections I’ve made through it🙂 Enjoy the Thanksgiving dinner, all those who celebrate it🍗

  14. Thanks @GB and @Cleo – miss you more!!!

I’ve had several attempts to catch up but there’s just so much content and many dramas, it can be overwhelming. Then I procrastinate! LOL! So I will just jump right back in and be lilo- (Pronounced ly-lo. The friendship between two people who feel as if no time has passed when they see each other after a long period of separation). Found out there’s a term for that! Very cool.

And I’ll start by being grateful to you all. 💗

  15. Happy first day of tasty leftovers. For those who hosted a traditional Thanksgiving feast yesterday, you know what I mean. My father’s favorite part of Thanksgiving used to be picking meat off the turkey carcass, boiling the bones, and making a big pot of soup that would last for days. I won’t be doing that this year in his memory, because our leftover meat is pork tenderloin. My husband came down with a bad head cold (grateful it wasn’t COVID) so we had to cancel our plans to join others at their turkey dinner. I cooked for just the two of us, and we had a nice meal considering the circumstances.

@Packmule3, I am grateful you invite us onto your front porch to sit a spell and discuss Asian dramas. You regularly amaze me with your wit and insight, opening my eyes to aspects of shows I probably wouldn’t perceive on my own. You’re a busy person with your career, family, etc., yet you still make time for us, your BoD acolytes. Thank you!

I am also thankful for the friends I’ve made on this site. Even though we may never meet face to face, I feel the relationships developed through our discussions are true. That’s in no small part because @Packmule3 encourages us to dig deep…while still allowing the occasional visit to Shallow Island.

Blessings to all of you, my beloved Bitches!

  16. @Janey, I’m also glad to see you back on BoD. Whatever is going on on your life that is causing you to triage your attention, time, and energy, I hope you are finding joy in the midst of it.

I was intrigued by the word you shared, because I have friendships like that. I finally found that particular definition in “The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows” by John Koenig.

  17. Belated Happy Thanksgiving! In this season of gratitude and reflection, I am thankful to know you all, and thankful for this blog.

  18. Hi @Welmaris!!! Thank you for the nice thoughts. Oh, I will check out this dictionary. It may have been the reference book of the article I read that mentioned “lilo”.

    Cheers!!!

  19. Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all. My 4000+ mile post-retirement trip was both breathtakingly beautiful as autumn color moved into winter (especially in the mountain passes) and also with it’s own hazards. Who would have thought that EVERY hotel room with 2 Queen beds looks EXACTLY the same whether in a small rural town or a downtown Hilton. Of course it could be anticipated that sharing that hotel room with a grown son AND his small hyper-active, but luckily incredibly cute young dog would be fraught with issues. Yet it was beautiful and we did get to spend time with elderly family and distant family and old friends from college and grad school. So double thanksgiving for time with friends and family this late-COVID era and thanks for the discovery of this wonderful group of BOD compatriots.

Hi there @salteddust! We missed you! I’m glad you had a good trip and are back safe and sound.

Being slightly crazy, I’m already planning for another Rewatch Party. Would you or anyone care to join us for a Memories of the Alhambra Rewatch in January 2023?

  21. @salteddust, what an adventure! And what a wonderful time of connecting in person with family and friends. Did you drive all those miles?

  22. Happy belated Thanksgiving. I hope everyone celebrating had a blessful and heartwarming gatherings with families and friends ~~~

    ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  23. @Welmaris. We did drive all those miles! And I already have an entire season’s worth of winter driving as a result.
