I wish y’all the Christmas miracle you’ve been praying for.
May you find time to spend with God on this festive season. Families, like kdramas, can be overwhelming so do find the quiet place, and the quiet hour to be in His presence and pray.
Our celebration of Christmas isn’t complete without a reflection on the great love He has for all of us that He gave his only begotten Son to save us. Give thanks for the love and blessings you received as well as the trials that made you stronger. Kdramas entertain us, but they pale in comparison to the story of our lives. We have the most amazing leading characters, namely us, and the best screenwriter aka God working on this project.
Lastly, pace yourselves. Many of us tend to forget that Christmas only begins on December 25, the birth of Jesus, and actually ends on January 6, the arrival of the Magi. There are 12 days of Christmas, just like in the carol.
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Twelve drummers drumming
Eleven pipers piping
Ten lords a-leaping
Nine ladies dancing
Eight maids a-milking
Seven swans a-swimming
Six geese a-laying
Five gold rings
Four calling birds
Three French hens
Two turtledoves
And a partridge in a pear tree.
Psssst. Want to know the symbolisms and metaphors in that carol? Your interpretation is as good as mine. Take it or leave it.
The reason for the season is Christ.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all my B.o.D. friends who celebrate it!
I wish you Health, Happiness and Love, lots of Love. 💕
Let us have a warm heart and act as a beacon of light for others. Let us be good to each other and enjoy this beautiful time with the joyful message of Christ’s birth…
Enjoy your time with your family and friends. Let us enjoy life.
Χρόνια πολλά! ❤️🎄🎈🎅🎉🥂
Thank you for the reflection reminder @pkml3! Advent has flown by and I still feel that I barely prepared my heart for the true advent of the Christ Child.
I’ve heard of the symbolism of the items in the 12 Days of Christmas Carol. Here’s one link that may interest some of us. I like the idea that it might have been a summary catechism to aid in memory, but I guess there’s no ‘proof’ that this was the case.

May you and your family have a Holy and Happy Christmas!

Dear Beanies, Merry Christmas!!!. Hope you have time for yourselves (and for God) these days.
In some ways the Holidays is a good remembrance that Life with all its ups and down is a Gift from God, and that even after all its weight there is the possibility of a better tomorrow. May these days be not only serve you to repose and be with your loved ones, but also to prepare (and anticipate) for what Life and your dreams will deliver this next year.
@GB, I still owe you a good mail… sorry!!!
@Cleo, Kalimera from my part of the world, hope climate is better in Greece.
@PM3, thanks for this Community. If there is the gift of gratitude please remember that you gave a lot of us a place to talk about our philosophies… which is a roundabout way of speaking about our life experiences and what the waves of them has left us with as a conclusion.
I have been away (but never too far),

To those in North America, stay safe. I hope that the freezing cold weather lifts away soon.

The climate is better but I am afraid that Winter will be more severe than usual. How are you? Are you okay?
P.S. @GB Unnie has my email address, just saying. 😁
Unnie,
<3
Merry Christmas @Fern, @SnowFlower and @Miracle23 !
Merry Christmas and happy holidays BOD!!!
So much to reflect on 2022 and I love that every year culminates with Christmas and its message of hope through Jesus. Despite a rough and challenging year, there is still a lot to be grateful for and one of them is this community. Cheers and may it rain (or sunshine or snow) blessings all around. Love and hugs!!!
Thanks for the link on the meaning 12 days of Christmas @GB! I’ve read something similar.
Sharing a Christmas story I recently read which made the best use of the 12 days of Christmas. As @PM3 said, our real life stories are even more compelling than kdramas.

Blessings to you and your family, @Packmule3, during these holy days and throughout the coming year.
At this time of giving presents, I am grateful for the love we receive in this BoD community. Our conversations about dramas and life in general are precious gifts. I cherish the friends I’ve made here, even though we’re spread all over the world.
@Snowflower, thank you for sharing your gift of music.
@FGB4877, it’s always a joy to hear from you.
Happy Christmas all! 🎄 Thank you for very helpful reflections @Packmule3. Great to see this thread and all the greetings.
@Packmule3, my comment is awaiting moderation. I think it’s because I used my other email address. Oops!
Blessings to all this happy Christmas morn! Hope everyone has a peaceful time spent with family and loved ones.
Merry Christmas to everyone here!
🙂it’s in, @welmaris.
Thanks, @Packmule3!
Are you cooking anything special today, @PM3? I’ve been alone at home this week, so have had a very quiet run-up to Christmas. My husband had to rush to Toronto because his nonagenarian mother is ailing. He’s on his way back today. Considering the severe winter weather across much of North America, I’m grateful his flight was able to depart Toronto after only a short delay. This year my best Christmas present will be to have him safely home.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Wishing you good health, good food, great company, and awesome (non-real-life) dramas!
Merry Christmas to all! My heart is full of gratitude for family, good food and the spiritual gifts of this holy day. And throughout the year I am grateful for this smart, insightful group of Kdrama viewers. You have enhanced my enjoyment of many shows, especially the current one, Alchemy of Souls Light and Darkness.
Hi there @Janey! I’ve missed you! Glad that you do come around to read. Thanks for the link. I do not subscribe for the NYT and so was not able to retrieve the article. Was this the tale of the boy who kept ringing the doorbell, hence stopping the person in the house from doing something he/she might regret?
Have a holy and healthy Christmas!
@Welmaris, All the best to you and to your husband. I trust that this post will find him home safe and sound, or close to.
I’m having a sweet, quiet Christmas at home too! Blessings!
Merry Christmas to all my BOD friends and family.
May the seasons bring lot of Cheer, Health, and Happiness to you and your family.
Wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
@GrowingBeautifully, my hubby is now home, safe and sound. When I think about how arduous and dangerous long-distance travel used to be for generations preceding us, it amazes me that he could cross an entire continent in a matter of hours without even breaking a sweat. And I’m also grateful that air travel is not just for rich jet-setters, but affordable for people of average means. When I was little, our family had to pile in a car and spend days crossing the United States in order to visit relatives in the Midwest and on the Atlantic Seaboard.
The church bell ringers at the nearest church are working hard as I speak. Not ringing changes; just a glorious jumble of joyful Christmas morning noise.
Happy Birthday Jesus! 🎂
I attended the Saturday and Sunday vigil mass because I did reading at the latter one.
From the Saturday homily, the Priest told of an interview of Steven Spielberg and the question was ‘what would you say to God if you meet him?’. Steven said ‘thank you for listening’.
The Sunday homily was about Jesus coming to be with us with pretty much nothing but he gave us abundant blessings while he was here.
From those I thought yes, I’m always grateful to God for listening to me in my daily prayers, my concerns and my requests.
I will be forever thankful and blessed for Him coming into my life, for my family and friends and for directing me in the path where I am now.
I wish everyone here and our Queen a very Merry Christmas. May God continue to bless us with joy and may we have peace in our hearts. 🎄🎄🎄
@agdr03 – thank you for sharing this! Lovely to read this morning. I can access this thread which is a blessing
On a sillier note, my sister forgot to tell me we have been invited to a posh Christmas do – posh day to evening wear. I thought it was a neighbourly pot luck! My gear is wholly unsuitable. So I am borrowing some heels from her which are at least 3 sizes too big to make me look more dressed up! I will teeter up this steep Peak District hill in
shoes stuffed with cotton wool!
My plan is to take things very steady!
@Kate 👋🏻 Be careful with the heels but most of all have a good time! ☺️
Maybe after the party you’ll have some fun stories to share with us. 😉
@agdr03 – thank you and yes! Haha. I am encouraging myself with the prospect of those fun stories! X
@Welmaris, I’m glad to know that you are able to spend Christmas weekend with your husband. Please send him my regards from a damp, humid part of the world. 🙂
@Fern, what I missed on top of being able to enter a church during Covid, was hearing the bells toll. There were still the usual Angelus bells, but mostly silence when there should have been peals for Mass times. I enjoy hearing them again nowadays. 🙂
Bravo @agdr03!! I second all that you say. Blessings do continue to fall and miracles to work, despite the ups and downs of life. May I always be able to see and be grateful. Happy Birthday, Jesus! Indeed!
Merry Christmas to our BODers and their families and loved ones who observe the Christmas season. Wishing you all a blessed, meaningful holiday filled with peace and joy. And for those who are traveling, may your journeys be safe and smoothe.
Merry Christmas / Feliz Navidad!!
Blessings during this holiday season. Hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy family and friends. Thank you all for the opportunity to be part of this blog too. Enjoy the festivities no matter what part of the world you are.
Thank you!!
Oops put my email instead of name lol
Merry Christmas from Carolina aka cuyana 🤪
🎄🎄🎄🥳🥳
Merry Christmas, Peaches.
Thank you @PM3 for the greeting and reminder of what it means to celebrate this season and to just find time to bask in God’s presence, in silence and prayer.
Here’s to the story of us! Amen.
Sometimes, I do feel like after Dec 25, Christmas is over. but it’s just the beginning. indeed. not just the 12 days of Christmas, but the beginning of us living out the Christmas gift of His love and presence in our lives. funny how i’m familiar with the song ’12 days of Christmas’ but have not fully enjoyed the literal 12 days of Christmas. I enjoy Christmas eve and Christmas day. it’s great to have that mindset that i have more than these two days to continue to enjoy the season before another year begins.
Thanks @GB for that link on the 12 days of Christmas symbolism. I have not read about that before. i like the biblical symbolism.
I feel the love in this community and am blest to read all your Season’s greetings here. I appreciate all the BOD Peaches – commenters and lurkers alike. like @redhotchilligirl, i am a fan of you Queen @PM3 as well.
Maligayang Pasko!
You’re welcome @HK_Lady. A blessed Christmas to you!
Wishing everyone a Christmas that’s merry and bright!
I hope your day is filled with joy and laughter. May it follow you always.
AND amen to what you wrote, @packmule3. Let us not forget the real reason for this season.
Hey @Janey!
Good to see you here! I do hope you are okay!
Kalimera @Welmaris,
Good to read that your husband is safe at home! Enjoy your time together! <3
My dear @OAL,
Thank you for the wishes! I do hope your husband and you are okay! <3
Hello!
Thank you so much @PM3
A very Merry Christmas to you and yours. Hoping that the new year brings you loads and loads of happiness.
Smiles…
Merry Christmas, BODdys!

A Happy and Healthy Christmas to you @WE!
Did you get to watch Unlock My Boss?
Merry Christmas and happy New Year from Taipei! Jesus is the reason for the season! Our church put on a wonderful Christmas play about the life of Christ, and the preacher tied it nicely to Jesus, God’s gift to us.
Thankful I was able to volunteer and talk about Christmas and Christmas traditions around the world at my son’s school. Another (new) volunteer job I have now is to play piano at the local children’s hospital once a week. Last week I played mostly Christmas music and I felt so blessed. I’m slowly understanding what “It is more blessed to give than receive” means.
This year we drastically cut down on gifts, so each of our kids only got one small gift from us. We told them the trip we will go on next year is their Christmas gift.
God bless you my dear friends! May you be full of peace, love, joy and hope every day!
@Snow Flower, thank you for sharing your beautiful music with us! We are blessed by your gift of music! 🙂
Blessed Christmas to you @Hatlady!
@GB, alas not yet. No time.
Blessed Christmas though a tad late, considering there’s still the 12 days of Christmas?
I do advent activities with my kids before Christmas comes around so it was in “Christmas mood” way early on. This year we spent a white Christmas in Korea!!! There was a cold snap and it was -13degrees in Seoul, well..when you are trying to eat street food at Myeongdong and it is windy, you feel frozen, the strawberries were kinda rock hard ice inside.
Praying those experiencing a very white Christmas in sub-zero weather and blizzards can find warmth and safety.
A very happy new year to everyone 🙂
May 2023 treat everyone with love and kindness.
Looking forward to many more days of dramas and drama discussions.
Take care, people 🙂
