I wonder if it’s a style thing in China at the time of filming. But yes, When she tried on outfits before going out, she looked at 2 different dresses (nearly identical) and said one of them was too formal. Neither looked formal or like date clothing to me. More like something one might wear to work or church.

I do think he would suit her, but she doesn’t want him. She wants her Wenbo. He thought she was similar to him, and perhaps she was, but no more.

Good points re the music… and the ‘almost phone call’ to MK….mmmm. I like the way subtle detail is allowed to tell some of the story.
XK’s sister gave MK the first aid kit and then asked if Dr Shao is coming, too.
What’s with the SWAT team running with a flag to board a flight? Very impractical, but visually appealing.
Both groups leave together. They don’t see each other except for their backs. I would like to think that XK recognised the first aid kit and MK, maybe recognised his shoulders and ears from behind.

Wouldn’t it take a very long day to drive 1000km? About 15 hours or so? Like London to Madrid or a bit nearer.

Jealous colleague has frozen during the operation but MK is cool as a cucumber as long as she kept working. Dr Shao takes her immediately into another surgery diagnosis. Aftershocks from the earthquake make the surgery extra difficult.
Jealous colleague is not in the right profession for her is she? MK is a natural.
Yanshan is acting like it’s her first time seeing blood in an operation. She would be better as an academic, I think.

Dr Shao is giving them tough love.

In the conversation with Yanshan and Mi Ka, Shao seems to be speaking more to Mi Ka than to Yanshan. He gives them some sort of candy or energy tablet to give them energy.

Yes, what about 8pm in that case? Slightly earlier is good at the end of a working week. This time isn’t a bother for me either but earlier is preferable.
I didn’t really look at @pm3’s blurb until tonight. Gosh, I miss Mel and Sue on Bake-off. They were the best, individually or together.

i like it when XK saluted her and they had that moment – but i was distracted a bit coz in the middle of a rescue mission. but it was sweet and poignant, for sure.
and regarding WenJing getting hurt. i feel bad for her… coz being the rescuer, you end up a casualty. i don’t think i understand the situation of what they’re doing in that ridge in the dark?
