What do I expect this week?
1. The ex-girlfriend’s brother accidentally meets SolHee, and makes the wrong assumption that she’s his GF.
2. SolHee finally remembers the first time she met DoHa on the bus.
3. A kiss. The kiss usually occurs around Episode 8 in kdramas.

This was sweet but the best ice cream scene is still Sato Tekaru’s move in “Love Lasts Forever.”
Ever the tsundere boyfriend, Dr. Tendo saw the ice cream smudge on Nanase’s nose. He preempted any expectation of a romantic gesture from him with a grouchy warning, “Hey! I’m not going to wipe that off for you.” He wasn’t into public displays of affection.
She didn’t know that she had a smudge on her nose.
He knew how clueless she could be. It was much simpler if he wiped it off himself.
She didn’t expect that from him.
She had a brilliant idea…
She deliberately smeared ice cream on her lips to tease him. I felt a second-hand embarrassment for her when Sato Tekaru/Dr. Tendo gave her the side-eye.
Without warning, he licked kissed it off her lips.
The smug look said it all.
This scene from “Love Lasts Forever” (Japanese title “Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo”) is the exemplar of the ice cream trope. It shows their character. If it had been cut from the dorama, then we wouldn’t see how Nanase could get Dr. Tendo to come down from his high horse. It’s because of his standoffish and mean nature that Nanase was often taken aback by his romantic gestures.
In comparison, SolHee already knew that DoHa was a good individual.

@Cleopatra, it was a very good show; one of my favourites. It is a different style, reflecting Japanese culture. I think you would like it.

Regarding MLL, since I got spoiled ๐ from the preview of Episode 8…should I watch both episodes back to back…?
My program is a bit weird. And…Wednesday is “Moving” day for me… I am waiting for Episodes 10-11 badly.

Episode 7
So, this episode gave us a lot to ponder about.
The baker next door will help Doha as he helped him. He will continue to be his friend, even when everything is out and about.
Sayon is toxic. As I have said she is obsessed with Doha and yet she wants to be with him, regardless bring a murderer. And that’s what she said to Sol Hui’s face.
DoHa’s mom is more awful than Sol Hui’s mom. She is power hungry and wants him out of the picture!
Jae Chan and his Hyung are from the same city as Doha and his ex-girlfriend. That was a surprise.
Since Jae Chan is a shitty character. I keep thinking that he may also be involved in how DoHa ex-girlfriend’s body is currently missing.
I am glad that Doha reacted like that when Sol Hui revealed to him her secret. Let us see how she will react towards DoHa after she heard the “lie” again.
With the crazy brother on the loose, this time around DoHa’s life is in danger… He truly wants to kill him.
Itโs ironic that the closer DoHa gets to having an open and โnormalโ life, the more his existence becomes threatened. At this point, his mother may be his worst enemy, whether literally or psychologically because of her lack of empathy and support for him.

I agree, DoHaโs Mom is awful. She might as well officially cut ties with him if she wants everything about her background cleared. ๐ก
I like that DoHa is determined to be close to SolHee. He really is living his life now. I laughed when he said his name but no one believed him at the thank you party by the baker guy. ๐
Who is the guy next to the lady with the restaurant? He likes DoHaโs music. I donโt know him unless I wasnโt paying attention. ๐
Sayon has gone crazy. ๐ฌ Itโs a pity because her and Chi-hoon look good together.
The restaurant where they saw the ex looked awkward with the table low. It might be popular because of it. ๐ I mean the view was awesome. ๐
I lost all sympathy for the singer when she pretended like she wanted to commit suicide. But actually admitting that she did it because she knows it’s the ML’s trauma? There’s no way to redeem her in my eyes now.
I agree with you, @Stacy. But it will probably happen because it’s a drama and not RL. The mothers are close behind her, especially Do Ha’s mother.

That was definitely the most comfortable ‘fall on you and kiss or nearly’ trope that I’ve ever seen. So much better than the straight mouth on mouth sort which would lead to chipped incisors in RL. Let’s hear it for the Duvet Kiss!
At this point I’m willing to bet that the ex-girlfriend is still alive and not coming forward is her way of punishing DH.
Regarding episode 8. It is possible that she is alive and faked her death. But then why would DH’s mother be so certain that her corpse fed the fishes?
There’s something I don’t understand about Choi Eom-ho, Um-ji’s older brother. He knew that Do Ha = Seung Ju. Surely he knew that Seung Ju’s mother was in politics. Therefore he should have already known that Seung Ju’s mother = Do Ha’s mother. Why did he have to trick her with a fake meeting to find it out?
@packmule3, you were right about Eom-ho perceiving Sol Hee as Do Ha’s girlfriend. Well predicted. The next two should follow on quickly.
I may have 2nd ML syndrome for the first time. He seems like a really decent guy. We’ll see. I hope he doesn’t get sacrificed.
@Fern It came across to me that Eom-ho suspected that DH=SJ but wanted to confirm it, hence the fake meeting. Before that, he probably believed the official story that SJ was in Germany. That’s my impression anyway.
Oh, of course. I didn’t think of that. So Eom-Ho could pinpoint his location, you are absolutely correct. My big question in that episode was WHY didn’t Deuk Chan tell Do Ha that he had spoken to Eom-Ho? Things could have turned out much worse.
I think the guy that I was asking about was the convenience store guy. He plays DoHaโs music in the store. ๐
Iโm glad thereโs honesty between DoHa and SolHee. I mean itโs good he called her out on her lies about her saying sheโs not scared etc. ๐ But that look of hurt when she said it was the worst lie ever. ๐
I like the hiding away scene from Eom-ho. I liked that they wanted to protect each other. โบ๏ธ
So is Deuk-chan a bad guy or a good guy? I want to think it was just a slipped of the tongue but I donโt know. ๐ฌ
