I like that he has a valid excuse to grab her wrist. He needs to access his demonic power which is sealed like a tattoo on her wrist.

I also like this umbrella scene.

It wasn’t captured by the gifs, but the director made sure that we saw the rain dripping on his blazer. He didn’t notice that he was shielding her while he was getting wet. Little things like that are meant to tell us that he cares more about her than he was willing to admit.
The tango scene was new and clever. I haven’t seen a dance weaponized before.
source: ingukk’s tumblr
But I think the execution could have been improved on. Tango is meant to be flirtatious with long pauses, quick turns, complicated dance figures, and close embrace. But he was flinging her around like she was a soggy bath towel. I’m surprised she didn’t get a whiplash.

Oh well. I’m glad the Song Kang still got his dance moves after filming “Navillera”.
Let’s enjoy the show.
Thanks @pkml3! I don’t think I’ve got time to really get into My Demon. Perhaps just a cursory glance. With my time limited, my drama choices shrink as well, and I’d prefer to give more to the ones that tickle my fancy. 🙂
Kalimera @Packmule3!
I have to say that I have enjoyed pretty much their tango fighting scene! Especially, when she slapped twice the big baddie, her facial expression was of a child that got caught doing something bad. I loved DoHee’s face!
I am eager to see when GuWon will admit to himself first and sometime afterwards to Do Hee that he has fallen for her! LOL
Are we going to see their wedding tomorrow? I think we will… *grins*
It all clicked for me in Ep 4, @GB. Let me write a quick note. I’m taking a three day weekend anyway.
@packmule30please enjoy your week end. You do so much for us and I’m positive that your high standards are followed in your personal life and work.
I am now putting this drama on my to watch list I enjoy the young leads and these descriptions make it so much more tempting to watch. Here’s to some fun.
Ep 5
No. Noh DoGyeong (aka Madam Ju’s Grandson) is NOT the Leather Gloves killer (aka Abraxas, the boss of the Eczema Neck Man).
As soon as the Grandson beat up his psychiatrist in the bathroom, he’s dismissed as the Mr. Leather Suit.
Why?
Because he kills in rage.
He has no self-control.
He’s unstable.
He isn’t methodical.
He doesn’t even bother to hide his bloodied shirt.
He’s a psychopath but he isn’t Mr. Leather Gloves.
Mr. Leather Gloves killer is meticulous.
He doesn’t want to be associated with the deaths so he hires somebody else to do the murders for him.
He covers up his tracks.
He’s careful to wear his leather jacket and his leather gloves.
No fingerprints.
He has a dropbox (Locker #17) for the items he wants the Eczema Neck Man to procure for him.
He communicates through the video game messenger.
He has an alias.
Nothing can be traced back to him.
Mr. Leather Gloves wants to keep his anonymity. The murder of Madam Ju and planned murder of DoHee aren’t his endgoal. It became necessary to eliminate them because they obstructed his endgoal.
His endgoal is the company, and he can’t claim it if he’s under a cloud of suspicion.
Thank you so much for your notes pm3 !I haven’t commented much on BoD lately but I had to with your notes on Ep 5 !
For example,
Most viewers seem to feel the camera lingered for too long on Gu Won in the last balcony scene. Whilst I agree to that, I think the director wants us to see something – that Gu Won is dripping with sweat including his usually meticulously styled hair and all over his face. Then the camera pans out at the ‘unactivated” tatoo. He’s done this running/climbing stairs etc sweat causing activity as if a human to reach her. He has no powers to use. And he made a choice to do it for her.
Much like the umbrella scene you mentioned. The lingering of camera wanted us to see something there too.
Hello @GB ! ❤️
Welcome back, @Arihsi. How have you been? How’s the family? Your daughter must be school-aged by now.
Agree. Sweaty GuWon signifies that a) he ran to get to her in time, before it was too late, and b) he was going to jump after her without the safety of his demonic power. This leap was NOT similar to the one he made in Episode 1, when she fell off the bridge and he jumped off to get her. That time, he knew that he was safe because he had his demonic power to protect him.
I did wonder how he knew that she was in trouble. Does he have sixth sense now? the power of love?
I must say that acrobatic pose — with both his arms fully extended to hang on to the railing and to her hand — made such a pretty picture. Kinda like iconic Titanic pose of Kate Winslet with her arms outstretched and Leo diCaprio giving her a back hug.

Also !
He gives those little smiles.
1) Ep 4 when she runs to save him. It was foolhardy and reckless. She was outnumbered by far but actively drew attention to herself. He gives the tiniest of a smile while bloodied and on his knees.
2) Ep 5 when she praises him ! It’s a genuine smile that reaches his eyes before he catches himself. So sweet.
3) Ep 5 end. Not sure about this one. Definitely not a typical ML reaction when he saves his damsel in distress. Usually they look varying degrees of worried followed by relieved depending on acting prowess. But Gu Won is smiling. And it’s not a acting gap either. The camera practically is at his nose.
It’s a sort of victorious smile (am I reading too much? Probably) . Like oh look ! I failed your plan of killing this woman again !
Thank you @pm3 and you remember! That is so sweet 🥰
We’re well, thank you. I hope you and your family are doing well as well…
It’s so good to be back and interact with everyone here. ❤️
Talk about k-drama education and PSA!
The method of how he came to know she was in danger was surprisingly realistic. Not just that, I came to know I can do that on my own phone!
Till now, I thought I could only keep ambulance/police as my emergency automatic dial.
After yesterday’s PSA of my demon, along with those, the emergency button automatically dials my husband, whom I keep around for such things.
@pm3
Yes, that pose was very well shot. The special effects/CGI was also on point. No bits and pieces of harness, forgotten green screens etc visible. It made for a very pretty picture as you said.
My curiosity is how Do Hee will handle Gu Won being her “live shield” once she starts having/accepting her feelings of affection towards him.
It’s a double whammy for Gu Won. He is slowly loosing his powers even while holding Do Hee’s wrist. The mark is having some technical glitch annnddd Do Hee is in constant peril.
I am wondering if Do Hee will get to a stage where she finds the idea of Gu Won being her body “guard” i.e. in constant risk of getting hurt/killed instead of her unacceptable because she loves him.
Kalimera Everyone!
After that Tango, we almost got a heart attack, until Jeong Gu Won came to rescue Do Do Hee from the killer.
I am glad that Gu Won went first to her. The “cousin” didn’t stand a chance in this case.
Yes, we had this word “Geunyang/ Just Because” again. I am glad that Ju Won doesn’t want Do Hee to die. We get to see that they also had a connection back when he was human too. What happened to her that he chose to become a demon? I think we will find out.
At the same time, is the son of the firstborn really the mastermind behind the killer? After all he went to the Locker No. 17 OR was that a red herring? He found it empty, that means someone beat him to it.
Things are getting better plotwise. We shall see how it will go from now on.
I just love this Song for the Soundtrack!
Winter (of Aespa) – With You!

Enjoy!
I like the song, too, @Cleopatra. Do you have the lyrics available? I can post it. Thanks.
@packmule,
I have searched the sites, but they haven’t updated the english translation yet, because the song was posted two days ago.
I have found another YouTube video that has the english subs on it.
Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj7J-GUajy8
@Packmule3,
I wanted to say before I posted the previous comment, that when I will find the translation I will post it for you here!
Thanks, @Cleopatra.
@cleopatra, hello !
Given the number of times Gu Won has saved Do Hee and it’s only Ep 6, I really hope DH gets a chance to save him big time by herself w/o his help (unlike the “tango” which was led by GW).
I have a weakness for such “strong female/ I’ll be your hero” role reversals 🙈
Hey @Arihsi!
It is good to see you online after a while!
I think that will be the case. She will save him one big time, most likely his existence. Yes, it is good to see a strong female lead. Do Hee is one, but she was targeted too many times in a short time. Everyone would be traumatized by it!
We shall see how that will go. 😊
@Cleopatra and @Arihsi, Add me to the list of heroine saving the hero. I am enjoying this drama and hope to see this actor pairing again. They not only complement each other in acting styles but look great together. It is also fun to see the younger actors who are the next generation stars and we’ve seen her since she was a child.
Kalimera my dear @OAL!
Good to see you here! How are you?
Yes, they look great together!
27:00 – 30:00
Two scenes I found funny. First, the female colleague ask Koo Won how goes his relationship with Do Hee. Annoyed, he makes roll her chair and put her in another room. But best, other colleagues come and lock her in the room!
Right after, they speak about the cheap coffee. Koo Won find the coffee disgusting and he says the other guy is proud to be a slave (because his dream was to drink this coffee while working in a company). Only, at the end, he gets a call from Do Hee’s secretary and have to go to work. Before to go, he ends driking the coffee.
Some dishes of cheese, with this mariage scene.
And a starting of a kiss… looking like an amazing kiss to come but last moment–
Put a finger before!!!
Gu Won is the kind to not kiss her as long as he’s not sure she loves him too.
Courteous and romance chivalery spirit. 🙂
Well… he still kiss her in the photo-booth, but I bet he’ll give a reason like:
“oh, it’s for activating my teleportation”, ka ka ka.
Anyway, they can teleport elsewhere, the psycho-dude should find the photo going out a bit later. Then have information they are kind-of supernatural.
Hi @Cleopatra, I am so happy to hear from you. Life, right now, is hard. My husband is undergoing chemotherapy to make sure they got all of his cancer. He has periods of depression that is difficult to shake and my job is to try to keep his spirits up and to nourish him both with,, food and psychologically. The good news is they got the tumor which didn’t seem to spread but we will know better once his chemo is done. If all goes well, I’ll then have hip replacement surgery. I am cautiously optimistic. Watching K Dramas and reading BOD are my happy places. The people who contribute to this blog, like you are the bright spots in my day. May you and @packmule3 and the other contributors know I w nothing but health and happiness. And, of course great K and Asian dramas to enhance your lives. Sent with love and gratitude.
@OAL, I’m glad to read you and know how you are. I feel for you and with you. Yes life can be hard, and the ‘how hard it is’ comes and goes. Bless you for being such a rock of care and support to your husband. May he be truly well, so that you can take care of yourself as well. Be assured that my prayers cover you and many of our friends.
Yes, indeed, this blog and dramas are our happy place. Thanks to @pkml3 and all the sweet commenters who contribute to this interesting, thought-provoking, caring and communal spot in inter-hyper-space.
@AOL, hard times. And I wish you the best.
I hope you find some confort here and with dramas.
It sounds weird, but I watched almost no drama during last year, and my morale was down. Now it’s a bit like music, I can’t live without it. And a drama like Castaway Diva is the one you need.
Dear @OAL,
I do hope everything will be okay for your husband. We are all here for you. Just write it down if you have a hard time. Sometimes, just listening is important.
I grateful for you too, because you give us tidbits of a wonderful life you lived. So we can say you are uri Halmeoni if you give me permission to call you that!
@WEnchanteur, So many thanks to you for your kind wishes. I am so happy that you recommended Castaway Diva. I am a Park Eun-bin fan. She was so good in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. I loved her portrayal because she did not offer a stereotyped version of a person on the spectrum and in this area I know from whence I speak because my son is a young professional who is also on the spectrum. We sent him away to college and he graduated magna cum laude. If Attorney Woo were real I’d fix her up with my son.
Anyway, Park Eun Bin rocks whatever role she takes. I loved her in Hot Stove League. The Kings Affection and Do You Like Brahms. She also sings her songs in Castaway Diva. I’m going to go into her filmography to see more of her work and also what she did as a child. I hope that her public persona is a true one because she is no diva but seems to be quite down to Earth. I think we see that in Korean actors who usually hope to improve when they receive awards. It also seems like the culture values team work.
@AOL, I don’t have much words but share your pain with empathy.
I didn’t know you like so much the actress. I proposed this drama, because it’s the kind of drama that make me feel better. Ofc, there are a bit of dramatic situations, but on the whole, it’s something that warm hearts, full of hope and human thruth.
Oh @OAL ! It’s hard. 😟 Keeping up another’s morale while being very worried yourself is the hardest.
Yes, I love BoD. BoD was my safe space during covid. My country was ill-prepared for a catastrophe of this level, I worked in a hospital (which a quit to keep my 10 month old baby safe)… And people kept dying all around me. I had never felt this powerless or hopeless. We were under strict lockdown for months and months.
During this time, BoD was like a warm cup of tea. @fern, @gb, @welmaris, of course @pm3 and other lovely people on this blog… Every midnight I’d open the page eagerly to escape the world crashing all around me. BoD played such a big role in making me feel less lonely.
I wish you husband a very speedy recovery @OAL. Much love ❤️
@Cleopatra, Thank you sooo much for your kind thoughts and encouragement. I also thank you for giving me the halmeoni title because at this rate I’m not having any progress given my son is not having luck on the girlfriend search. I hope to be a grandma one day. I love babies, children and young people. So thank you. I am so into Castaway Diva and My Demon. These are perfect diversions with some wonderful actors. As I’ve said before, Park Eun Bin is a favorite. I have liked Song Kang, especially in Navillera and Nevertheless and he’s doing a great job here. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Sending you hugs @Arishi and kisses to your big daughter. 😘
I’m so happy to see you back here. ❤️
@WEnchanteur I get what you are saying… I didn’t watch any drama last year either! And weirdly enough, I felt a little “lonely”. Like I didn’t have anyone to “discuss” K-related matters – no one around me watches k-dramas anyway. I keep trying to convince them but somehow all of them are into US shows.
Additionally, I’m glad you are watching this drama. I find your unique take and way of commenting very entertaining.
Example the “it’s for teleportation” followed by ka ka ka made me LoL 😂
@agdr03 !! I kept thinking yesterday that I’m forgetting someone in the group that participated in offsite communication during covid… Since we use “pen-names” ? “Net-names”? It’s hard to remember it after a while… Yes, I’m also glad as you can see by my prolific commentry 😜 I seem to have less to say about the drama and more into saying hello to everyone 🙈
Thank you for your love for my daughter 💞 @agdr03 ! She’s grown into a feisty young child now.
@Arihsi, I started this drama for two reasons:
– The two main actors.
– It’s very popular. So it’s nice to interact with people.
No matter the quality. Well, of course if it’s really too boring, I drop.
After the few first episodes, and looking closer, reading your comments…
I find the script is more elaborated than at first sight.
Lot of links and cohesion. So, I’m curious about what happens next.
My dear Halmeoni @OAL,
I am okay. There are things I need to take of because it is the end of the year. Time surely flies. I think it was kinda yesterday when were were back in August and now it is almost Christmas time!
I pray that your wish will be granted!
Well, most of us are having a great time with some stories in order to relax from other stressful events, so I totally understand you! <3
