When BTS became a plot point in a kdrama…
source: geellaz’ tumblr
Btw, if you’re ready to listen to covers of “Spring Day,” I suggest starting with this pansori version by Song So Hee. Pansori is the traditional Korean folk music, and though I’m not a Korean, I credit her for making pansori “lit” 🔥 to the younger generation, and introducing it to the uninitiated like me.
Edited to add Song So Hee’s “Spring Day” with English subs.
Let’s enjoy the show.
Oh wow @pkml3, that rendition of the song had me tearing up! I looked it up. Here’s a Pansori 101 with English subs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5TN0G6MqHs
I really hope that we start off Episode 7 with our OTP acknowledging that they are from the future… with no dilly dallying about it!
Thanks for sharing, @GB. It takes time getting the ear accustomed to the Pansori style. I like the trills and tremolos, but the sudden shouting (or yelling) sound jarring to me.
Here’s another Youtube video. This time it’s Na In Woo in that Sunday variety show, 2D1N, doing his song-and-dance karaoke. The members were flabbergasted. Their reactions and comments about his performance were just as funny.
Please do not eat or drink while watching the video.
https://youtu.be/neNscYUcS78?si=Revq-EPy6BIL2PX0
Thanks for the warning @pkml3! What on earth was he doing!!! He left his compatriots in shock LOL. But he got the team the winning score twice!
I loved how the girl (the real pro singer) was trying to hide behind one of the guys so that she couldn’t see him dance LOL. Her jump back and cringe was a sight to behold. They actually asked each other if Na In Woo was always like that LOL. Their expressions of horror were the best!
I thought the comments were on point.
“His legs are shaking.”
“He dances like an American who can’t dance.”
“He sang the song in one note?!”
That’s why when I see him acting serious in this kdrama, I don’t buy it.
It will be the mark of his acting chops if he can convince us that he’s this super serious CEO person who only slowly unveils his lighter side because of ‘lurve’. LOLOL.
OMG the version by Song So Hee was so poignant. Love it!
I was listening to BTS’ Spring Day on repeat the whole of last week.
https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/music/a34716082/bts-spring-day-song-lyrics-meaning-explained-sewol-ferry/
The band’s own reflection on what the song means
OMG I.cannot.listen.to.this.without.tearing.
This pansori rendition is so deeply mournful it sounds so much like a wailing threnody.
One comment was spot-on; her traditional way of singing sounds like the songs you sing to send away the dead
Just added the pansori cover of Song So Hee with English translations. Enjoy!
Browsing over on m d L. A number of posters barely know who pmy is. Yes they are the newbies.😀
Hi @MM, I guess we all started somewhere and here we are years down the road!!
I am actually terrible at bothering to watch classics or dramas that have been praised highly. I may add them to my Plan To Watch list and then forget about them. Even when I’m wondering what to watch, these still do not entice me LOL. I guess I need a group watch or rewatch party to get me started.
I am like that too. There are so many shows that have stayed forever on my to watch list. Many of them are sageuk Or many episode family dramas. I have enjoyed watching some of the older classics- lovers trilogy, summer scent, Save the last dance for me, My girl, mwarang…
Oh, and I would really like to watch some of the really early dramas like stained glass. But I don’t really know where to find them.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but @packmule3, I just tried to access the main page and got the webpage of words again. At least this time it’s mostly garbage words (or another language, I have no way of knowing).
I was able to access this thread from my email notification.
Thanks, @Stacy. I just finished chatting with tech support and she (he?) fixed the site. Thanks for telling me right away. I was home and could attend to it right away.
Glad I could help!
As for MMH, I watched ep 7 today. I’m both thrilled with the show’s pace but worried that things are happening so fast that the later part of the drama will suffer. I want to say more but I’m never sure how spoiler-ey to be in the comments.
I will admit that I succumbed to temptation and have been reading the webtoon, but I won’t be comparing them except to say that I’m liking the drama a LOT more than the webtoon.
I found the episode to be choppy. I expected more interaction between the Leads. Character motivations are rather murky At this point. I hope they do not continue to stay at odds Because she wants to be independent. That is admirable and I can see her motivation there. I would prefer though to see them working together. And he may well need her help too.
@MM, @Stacy,
Good to know that the drama is more enjoyable than the webtoon.
I found Ep 7 interesting and that there was progress since they have acknowledged that they are both from the future.
SPOILERS for those who have not watched Ep 7
SPOILERs
But I really wanted Ji Hyuk to tell Ji Won that he had died as well, so that she’d consider that he, too, needed looking out for.
It’s all well and good that JW’s father seems to have taken on some powers of the gods, since he can assign people a 2nd life and sent back Ji Hyuk to protect JW, but that’s kind of one-sided and not fair, is it? Who’s going to protect Ji Hyuk who’s due to die about 1 week after JW?
At the moment JH seems to think that he’ll live for 10 years, ensure that JW is alright and lives beyond her death date, and then that he will die at the same time as he did in the past.
I felt that JW’s unquestioning acceptance that JH fell asleep and woke up in 2013, rather odd… surely a person has to die in order to be living a second life!! She should have asked how merely sleeping could get him into the same predicament or into a 2nd life like her.
I’m a little amused that JH’s sussing out Eun Ho, to check if he’s good ‘husband’ materials for JW. I have to admire JH for gritting his teeth and allowing Eun Ho to make headway with JW, when JH has already confessed to liking her himself.
thanks for the write-up, @GB. 🙂
Kalimera Everyone,
I wanted to say Hi. I will write some more laters and read you all!
Annyeong!
I wanted to write about the latest part of last night’s episode.
When Ji Hyuk is talking with Ji Won in the forest and he shows her the heart in his chest that is very close to his heart (that is not a coincidence!). I am glad that Ji Won, in her second life, wants to be happy, by herself for herself. It is good that she wants to find happiness and doesn’t want to depend on others.
On the contrary, she says to Ji Hyuk that she wants him to be happy too and asks him what is the thing he wants in his second life.
I was totally happy when he finally told her: “I want to be a solid land” (for you), in the pond scene, because he remembered what she told him back in 2005.
Both of them, want each other to be happy. Ji Hyuk also wants to be for Ji Won a safe haven. Which makes me happy because those two, regardless if Ji Won doesn’t says anything romantically about Ji Hyuk yet, give us information about what is a solid foundation for a happy relationship. So, I will be waiting for their romance to bloom.
P.S. The tension in the pond was over the roof!
Just watched ep 8. I find JW’s emotional struggle realistic. Even though she knows the truth, has faced it in the most harsh way possible, she still grieves. She wants to think that maybe SM will change, even though JW knows she won’t.
I’m very glad that the reveal happened when it did, because JW was right – she needs someone to talk to, and there’s no one who would understand better than JH. I enjoyed their interactions throughout ep 8.
Even though it was mainly to manipulate SM, it was nice watching JW fight back during the competition and even tell SM how she really feels.
I have to get these thoughts out even though they don’t jine with the thread. I am enjoying this drama so much. This drama is so good because it is so layered. There is an undercurrent of deep philosophical ideas running through it. I enjoy it on a superficial level but then am faced with all of these existential questions. And the casting is so good.PMY is not just a pretty face and the role allows her to show her range. And the superficial person in me finds Nah In-woo to be incredibly handsome, but he also aquits himself well in the role. Our two villains-“best friend” and husband are so despicable even though you can see their humanity. They have a great cringe factor. The episodes of this drama can’t come quickly enough for me. I do confess that I like a good revenge drama. Thank you BOD for indulging me.
Hi @OAL, @STacy, @Cleo, @MM, @pkml3
Sometimes it’s actually a relief that side characters are more 2-D and simple like our baddies, MH and SM. We don’t have to waste too much energy feeling bad for them as they dig their own graves.
Thanks @OAL, your comments gave me more heart to dive into Ep 8. Having read enough comments on other shows, I suddenly recognised what horrid Soo Min was doing to Ji Won: victim blaming. She said that it wasn’t wrong for her to take what belonged to Ji Won, because JW yielded them to her. It was JW’s fault for making her take it for granted that whatever was JW’s was also hers. What a classic argument of a victim-blamer. I was looking it up and saw an article on it as one of the elements that narcissists engage in. SM could be something else but I’m thinking she exhibits narcissism among other things.
And she has amazing ways of manipulating other’s feelings. That letter she wrote to JW was so sweet. Even JW says that if she had not seen the end, she’d have been swayed by the apology and wish to make up.
But it was great that JW fought back and told her to her face that she had begun to hate her. (And this was just after that picnic where she’d said they were all friends LOL)
Ad Hoc Comments as I Watched
JW’s dad did her a great favour in sending someone who cares for her to her side in the 2nd life so that she would not be alone.
JW and JH are so at home with JW able to confide in him, that she can even mention how he pats her hand so affectionately without embarrassment. I’m glad we don’t get the cringe and pause scene, but instead JW able to speak about her feelings of loneliness. This leads to JH being grateful to be able to listen to and speak with JW.
What a crappy proposal MH had prepared for her in the past, and to think he knew she’d accept something even less than mediocre shows how she had undermined her own value. It’s sad to consider that there are some who are so lonely that they would minimise (as opposed to magnify?) themselves so much, so as to keep a friend.
And then we see the proper rendition of what a proposal ought to be, with JH’s influence and loads of drones to make words in the sky. Loved it. I personally dislike public proposals, but I love seeing lights in the sky.
The Things I Liked About Episode 8
I like how we don’t see the crazy Na In Woo of 1D2N but only the serious boss here, whose rare smile lights up the screen. He’s pretty convincing.
I like is how JW can look back at her past life, and analyse where she went wrong or why she had SM and MH in her life, when they were nothing but leeches. JW can predict when MH is going to ask her for money.
I’m even happy that SM gets to see what kind of person MH is. After he gets what he wants from her, he still wants to keep JW on the side or vice versa. He’s the have your cake and eat it kind of person.
Both JW and SM get to see that Lousy-leech MH is not going to let go of a free ride from JW, so more action will be called for. I’m in for the ride. I guess making MH lose his money sort of backfired on JW, who thought he’d give up thoughts of marrying when broke, but I’m sure her next strategies are going to sights to behold (I saw the preview and PMY was hot in that get up, striding as on a catwalk… where did the timid, self-effacing JW go? LOL)
And LOL MH never even considered the consequences since all 3 of them work in the same office. How much of a dummy can he be? We see that MH’s only plan is to marry JW and live off her. He has no other resources once he loses his investment. Even SM is going to take revenge on MH by her wily, indirect means, and I’m also eager to see her at work dividing her tactics between pretending to keep JW’s friendship and getting MH away from her.
I did like the backstory (or the continuation of the cutoff scene) of how the cat came to be with JH. We get confirmation that the cat is another link between the OTP, besides Dad’s blue heart brand.
At the end with the great proposal scene on JW’s birthday, I loved hearing all the thoughts going through the minds of the 4 main protagonists. How very true to human nature, that they’d all be having their own objectives, and be on different paths, but pretend to be in the same boat. Of course the boat is going to fall apart with each person tugging at the rudder and some are going to get wet! LOL. Looking forward to this.
Some scenes on their own, but probably worth noting
We see Eun Ho’s memory of what drunk JH had said to him. JW didn’t want to see his face, LOL, but yet he kept going to that restaurant because Eun Ho was there. Poor JH cannot totally confide in JW so he gets drunk near Eun Ho and says cryptic things to him LOL. JH thinks he will die in 10 years time, and therefore EH is the way to go for JW so that she will have a long and happy marriage. That’s another plot point that requires and interesting twist to solve the OTP issue.
Then there’s the strange scene of Team Leader Yong Joo Ran thanking boss Lee Suk Joon. It was strangely slotted in out of the blue. He listened to her trail off her thanks and gave her advice. She should complete her sentences and remember the good things people say about her as well as the bad. He had chosen her for her competence, and she should remember that. I guess Show wants us to see him in a less negative light. He’s the one chosen by Chairman Yoo to be JH’s man.
We also get to see him reporting to Chairman Yoo, and the decision to invest in stocks of the aerobotics arm that would become lucrative with the rising interest in drones. I like that this goes well with our real world where in the early 2010s drones were gaining popularity commercially. The Writer(s) tied Show to solid history, which is good.
I can’t say a lot about ep7. Watched that yesterday evening, tired, with low attention. Maybe I should postpone watching of episodes for week end, and continue Vincenzo during the week.
I noticed a nice developpement of the high-concept, when the wound of JW goes on the arm of JH. It will complicate their mission. TIME is trying to preserve a balance or a meaning, or the will beyond time.
Saying hi and also to say I’m joining you all here because I’ll be following this drama as it comes out and gonna catch up with the comments when I can. I speed watched the first 6 episodes actually but loving the process so far.
Kalimera Everyone!
The more I watch this show, the more I like it. Mostly because we get to see the real struggles of a person aka Ji Won-ah who was being gaslighted for so long and she is trying really hard to gather all her strength to change her fate.
I am happy with her progress as a human being. It is not easy to die in the hands of the persons who meant a lot for you, and then consequently to turn back time and have to see them again before they became more vile that they were.
I am glad that Ji Won really confronted Su Min.
I am more glad that Ji Hyuk is there for her as a friend. He is indeed a solid ground for Ji Won. And yes, the more I see him the more I like him as a person and as a man. He has integrity and he really knows what he wants and so far he lets his emotions to the side. I can not only see but feel his sincere feelings for Ji Won.
BTW, my favorite OST from the drama is out:
Kim So Yeon – Wounds of Time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi3aR4JEMjQ
P.S. @We, well in time travel there are always conditions to be met, in order not to change the balance in the quantum field.
I like the fact that JW is still soft and kind, feels guilty while trying to take revenge, but goes ahead with it anyways.
The scene of the OTP in the pond gave me all the feels😍 The dialogues in this drama are quite meaningful – “I want to be your land” (poor JW couldn’t correlate it to what she herself had said before), and the dialogue where JW says that she will preserve her “allowance” from her father and not spend it.
@Cleo
you are right about the romantic tension in that scene, as qwll as the other one in the forest.
JH has the potential to become a Best Drama Boyfriend, I think, if he continues this way. I like that even though this is a female-centric drama, our ML’s conflicts are equally important. He got a second chance to protect JW, who doesn’t want to be shielded. Also he has always been in love with her, but cannot proceed e en in his second life knowing he will die in ten years.
@OAL
I agree with you about the undercurrent of deep philosophical thoughts that the drama makes me think too. If we had a second chance at life, with the hindsight, can we change situations by stopping things that led to those situations from happening?
Or will fate happen anyways?
Hey my dear @Phoenix!
I didn’t want to say it, but you said it first, JH has indeed the potential to become a Best Drama Boyfriend.
[I can easily go to Shallow Island for him too…*grins*]
I loved it when Ji Won said to Ji Hyun that she doesn’t want to spend her allowance! This means she doesn’t want him to be spend, aka she values him more than she can admit at the moment. He is her father’s gift to her.
Yes, the romantic tension in those scenes was so spot on.
And…we can see the difference of the two couples: Ji Won and Ji Hyuk vs Su Min and Min Hwan. The first one starts in a solid ground, while the second one seems to be in an immature relationship : we have infatuation from Min Hwan to get in SM’s pants and obsession from SuMin’s part to hurt Ji Won by taking MH.
I really really like that Ji Hyuk is there as a friend for Ji Won, although he loves her dearly and is not doing anything, because he is going to die in ten years. He hasn’t thought yet, that he can changed his fate too. So, JH is mourning and Eun Ho has realized that something is wrong.
My favorite part: If you noticed the proposal, Ji Hyuk also communicated with Ji Won via the drones. He made memorable the proposal and her birthday consequently, because JH wrote first: Spring Day along with a cat face and a blue heart.
And then came that “Will you Marry Me?” quote.
Team Ji Hyuk all the way here! Yes, I can wear even a t-shirt! LMAO!
The coincidences continue. I liked how they used the kitten to cat. Ml saved the cat that FL fed. The cat didn’t like people but recognized Ji Won_a.pur leads both need saving from the specter of death. Do they save each other? And some ancillary stuff-ML has classic chaebol issues. We get workplace drama-live the whole product test at supermarket set up when idiot “boyfriend” has to pay allergic customer because he wasn’t paying attention but canoodling with our villainess in a storeroom. What fun! And even more detail with the stock loss. Yikes! The detail in this drama is so amazing. One issue-who goes camping in a dress and heels? Or is this our writer making a hidden statement about time and perception. I’m thinking about Dali’s clicks…
I also need to praise the actress who plays our villainess. She does a great job in making us hate her. She smirks well. Looking forward to her comeuppance. They show that she thinks the bad boyfriend has money. He is a bad investor. The engagement ring was a fake diamond. Just live the details again… He is something of a buffoon.
Thanks for allowing me my musings. So far this drama is a winner to me.
Hey Unnie!
I really really liked this week’s episodes! The OTP’s struggles are portrayed very realistically and we can sympathize with their troubles or lack therefore.
Yes, the jakkanim, has made research and we get to see all the second couples having scenes that show something.
Team Leader Yang and the Boss Lee was a very good example and the message should be written again and again!
She should complete her sentences and remember the good things people say about her as well as the bad.
Yes, to remembering the good things people are saying to us and not only the bad ones!
As @OAL first wrote above and @Phoenix commented about hindsight, the story conveys a lot about human relationships and its dynamics and second chances and has a philosophical meaning:
>i>Would you change yourself and your life if you were given the chance?
Hi @WE, @grace, @Cleo, @OAL, @Phoenix
Oh, are we headed for Shallow Island already? Heheheheh! I DO notice how often we get to see well muscled chest with heart tattoo to boot!
We have the cute push and pull… Allowance wants to be spent but Spender does not want to lose Allowance.
I was laughing over the Solid Land being mistaken for lamp, lamb or champ… Trust our Hee Yeon to decide it was ‘Solid Lamb’ LOL. Yes, I agree with whomever said that because she loves food so much, she ought to pair up with our Chef Eun Ho.
In the end, JH settled for ‘Champ’ which is really close enough to what he is. He’s a real champ for training JW to take care of herself, for being a sympathetic, helpful, listening gentleman when she confides in him so much and for passing her on to Eun Ho for the long term.
Well without even moving 10 years into the future, we know that Soo Min and MH’s relationship, now that it has it’s rocky, unsolid start, will fare badly if at all. Yes, @Cleo, SM only wants to keep MH away from JW, but does not value him for himself. As I said before, one of the best punishments for these 2 hokey baddies is that they marry each other and have to live with MH’s mother LOL.
@Cleo, I want JH to realise that he could change his fate. We want him to live a long life, but I guess that means that someone else has to die in his place.
Yes I noticed the proposal in the sky… it was really JH’s proposal that JW was seeing. Only she understood the significance of those words and signs. Even the “Will you Marry Me?” was sort of from JH too, since he also wanted her to be his for life.
So much fun, this Show!
Now that I have watched episode 8 I see 7 and 8 together as a better package. I was initially disappointed in episode Seven, but episode 8 offered what I felt Was missing in seven.
I still feel like there is something choppy about the editing.
I agree with previous comments about how this show is highlighting Emotional struggles and how different characters deal with them. This episode felt very grounded in the female lead’s experience Of relationships- Love and betrayal At a very personal level.
Hi @Cleo, even without this drama, I’ve been thinking quite a bit about what I might have done differently if I had the chance. I mentioned it in the 20/20 thread.
I agree that the characters are relatable and that we can sympathise and empathise with them.
I also liked the good advice that comes up now and then, hopefully heard and absorbed by the viewers who are more easily influenced in choice making.
As you put it, I also like that “the story conveys a lot about human relationships and its dynamics and second chances and has a philosophical meaning”. 🤓😆
This kind of Show is worth watching for all these things, its production value and for the good storyline. That it’s also well acted is icing on the cake!
Someone earlier was talking about Victim blaming. What a great illustration of this when the second female lead said how the man with pine nuts Allergy should have been more careful when indeed it was totally her fault.
I really wanna say I like this way way better than Perfect Marriage Revenge (not that PMR is bad).
The dramatic irony, the dramatic tension from very real threats (an abusive bf ready to raise a fist to her at the twitch of a switch, and a gaslighting narcissist and pathological liar), and the deep deep pathos from the existential drama of our leads and time travelers.
I find myself bristling with indignation, and wanting to cuss Su-Min & Min-Hwan out in Ep 8 — just when you thought brazen shamelessness has hit a nadir low, the floor cracked. When Ji-won wrested back her winning flag it was so CATHARTIC (*fist pump* moment)
Love all the forest confiding scenes (Ep 8 has all the emotional heavy weightlifting moments where our OTP finds solace in each other and really reveal their hearts). Indeed, it is a lonely journey to walk alone.
I just wish Ji-Hyuk will no longer hold back and disclose WHY he has loved her for so long and how it all started. If you think about it, that last scene of a marriage proposal is really him confession-laundering via the ruse of helping Ji-won in whatever way possible. “Will you marry me?” is his own love confession writ LARGE in code to her.
P.S. Pls go watch Na In-woo in Mr. Queen if you haven’t yet – he is the hottest most powerful SML I have ever seen in a long time.
@MM, yes exactly! The same thought came to me too when she said that. I was the one who mentioned victim-blaming. SM is one character who never makes recompense for the terrible things she does that brings on harm and loss for others. Instead of paying what is due, someone else takes the fall for her over and over again.
I guess she’ll say that it’s what they want to do for her, so it’s not her fault if she never pays back as she ought. 😡
I’m actually glad that MH is not as easy to manipulate 🤭 as she thought, and that she’s going to suffer rejection and sore dissatisfaction. On top of that, she will have to up her role as 3rd corner, in the love-triangle game, that she has chosen to play. It’s going to be fun! 😂 🤪 😆
Unnie,
I have written my thoughts on 20/20 thread as well. I feel that this show should be labeled #MustWatch for all the reasons you also said.
Such stories give you intel of what you should do in life, when things are not going well.
I also like what Ji Hyuk said about his life, it is like a well written novel, with no worries and struggles. Everything is laid on the ground for him and he should just follow obediently, as he did the first time around, in order to become U&K’s CEO. But, even though Jin Hyuk’s life was well written, he was not happy.
Ji Hyuk was not happy because he didn’t do anything HE WANTED TO DO , except from the fact he saved the tiny cat, because Ji Won was feeding him and he also become fond of him. The cat is part of their unseen bonding.
So, we get to see that people without anguish in their lives, that come from good background i.e. families with money and such, have other problems in their lives.
They might be unhappy, because they don’t have passions or vision for the future. They might be lacking a stable and loving relationship. They might not do what they wanted to do, because everyone was watching them, in our case Haraboji and Boss Lee.
So, for Ji Hyuk this second life, is also new and interesting. Ji Hyuk decided to protect Ji Won because he truly loves her. I am glad he confessed that he likes her, before finding out that the inevitable will happen. Still, I believe he won’t die. Of course he won’t!
Oh P.S. and I love how he made his (other) love confession hidden in plain sight to her when they were both standing chest-deep in precarious waters. “I want to be solid land.” Great sympathetic mise-en-scene and anti-juxtaposition
@pm3, just sent you another email with a screenshot. Got the p*** words just now when I clicked my bookmark for your site.
@Cleo Great points!!
So true about JH’s life story… all written out for him and nothing for him to add or change in order to reach the end… But what a bad thing that can be too!! I used to think it would be nice to be rich and comfortable with everything provided, but it’s obvious JH wasn’t happy. He just toed the line. I hope this message rings loud and clear!
The cat and JW’s dad (the angel? almost god?) are the interesting extras that were not written into his book. They were linked to JW, and because JH liked her and cared for the cat for her, they changed his trajectory. Angel dad gave him a taxi ride to suss him out, and finding him worthy, the cat came into play (I feel the cat also was under Dad’s influence).
Cat brought JH into accidents twice. One time ending with ruptured knee ligaments, and presumably another time ending in death and a second life with a chance to change things, plus protect JW.
We have to watch until the end to see how Show manages the twist so that neither JW nor JH has to die. 🧐 😉
@GB
I confess I’ve never seen Na In Woo in this light before but in this drama, his role as JH totally gives me Shallow Island vibes, Yes, as we ponder on the deeper philosophies of life that this drama poses, let’s also pause for a moment to appreciate strategic placement of that heart and the soulful gazes 😝
@Cleo
Yes, it’s the ‘curious case of the cat’, isn’t it?😀 I did notice the cat crossed the street and JH had the fatal accident while trying to save the cat at the end of his first life. I was wondering if that’s the same cat.
I recently watched this actor in a Brief drama called her bucket list. Not earth shattering but enjoyable and an opportunity to watch him.
@Phoenix
Yes, of course in our deliberations on philosophy, the admiration of male beauty is perfectly in sync ie not out of place at all. Philosophy to be whole must allow us to ruminate upon the shallow as well as the deep and come out of our reflections with enlightenment plus enjoyment! 🤓 😋 😂
Yes Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy I think. 😊
@Stacy,
Thanks for the warning. I also saw it just now. On my ipad only. Went to safari setting, then to “clear my history and website date” and cleared everything. Went back to site and seemed to have fixed the issue.
Try clearing your cache and cookies on your browser and see if that works for you, too.
On my way to work now. Will check in tonight.
-pm3
I have never had an issue. I don’t know if this is helpful information. Since I know you have been dealing with this for awhile. I was wondering though if it has something to do with the browser. I use both google and firefox, as well as automatic v p n most of the time.
@pm3 @monmor I’ve had it happen on Firefox and Chrome and on 2 different computers. I’ve also cleared my cache and cookies with no effect.
BTW, it’s not happening now. Every time it’s like the issue clears up on its own after a while.
@Stacy
I have the same issue on both Chrome and Safari, when I access the blog from my email notifications. I’ve been having this issue for more than 2 months now, so I stopped accessing this site from Gmail and searching for it on Google instead to access.
Kalimera Everyone!
I am using Opera and I haven’t had any problems with the site so far. Give it a try if you can to check it !
@Cleo thank you for the tip 😊
Hi @pkml3,
🥛🍪🥘🍺🥗🍖🫔🧋🥙🥤🥪🧉🍛🍜🫙🫖
I’ll be on Retreat this weekend, but even without me, the Rewatch Party continues as usual. 🥳 Please put up the party thread soon, so that I can leave a ‘Hi!’ to everyone there before I retreat. 🙏🤫😌
🥛🍪🥘🍺🥗🍖🫔🧋🥙🥤🥪🧉🍛🍜🫙🫖
Please pray for me! Thank you!! 😄 😎 🤗
Kalimera @Phoenix,
The cat will bring them together! 😛
I was wondering that too…If only the cat would talk too! Meow!
You are welcome, @Phoenix!
@Monmor, @Phoenix and @GB Unnie,
Yes, Aesthetics is a branch of Philosophy, but also has ties with Art.
So, we can admire this specific male beauty as much as we like! Simple as that! 😂🤣
Thank you Unnie!
I feel that we get to see Ji Won’s battle, but it is wise to also point out Ji Hyuk’s life and struggles too!
For me Ji Won’s Dad is an Angel. As for the Cat, we can say that is Cupid! ☺
Yes, we need to see how the story will play out, although I have read spoilers about the Webtoon on MDL… 🙄😋
Give me a few minutes, dear @GB. Overslept and haven’t finished going through my work emails and cases this morning. 😵💫
Thank you my dear @pkml3. I’m seeing this after I went to the Nine: 9 thread. I’ll be back much later to read and post.
Have a great weekend!! 😁🤗😘

Episode 8 was a good one with a lot of screentime for the villains!
Park Min Young is really good at acting here. For me, she was often a sure actress in the past, pretty but more the feeling of a cotton pullover.
I had a good laugh at any silly detail. Like how Min Hwan spit his soju on the ground while making a wedding proposal. Or his paper “would you merry me”, with the “e” crossed out and remplaced with a “a”. This sucker didn’t even write a new note for something so important.
@WENchanteur, I think this is for Park Min Young what The Glory was for Song Hye Kyo.i like it when roles showcase an actor’s range. I also think that as actresses no longer play ingenue roles that they be given more serious parts to play. I think of actors like Kim Hye Soo does tough women roles so well. What I ha t e is that women a renot paid well. While the men make amazing money, the women don’t make anythingnear it even inleaf roles. They do supplement their acting incomes through profuc t endorsements but men get even better stuff like automoni l e 3nforsements, this has got to change.
