@MM, SJ has changed to become a more compassionate person.
@FF, we see in the first screen shots of this episode why SJ closes himself off so; the long wait alone in the hospital after the tremendous trauma of being buried for so long, then to find out that his father (he thinks) killed himself. A few things do not make sense (like would they really have waited so long to tell him –probably not). But still we get a reason behind his initial coldness.
It must have been so traumatic for little Ji Ah to witness Park trying to kill her father.
What… HC is strange.
Oh yeah. I remember, DG was stab by her father.

@WE, why is HC strange? I thought she is upset with DK’s death and the suffering inflicted on her by her father.
I read about the meaning of the word kairos. Complicated meaning coming from the greek I believe. I boiled it down to something about acting at the right time. I was thinking about Her male friend’s comments about when something changes it just gets worse.
@WE, yes DK is dead in SJ’s timeline. I am not sure if he will be resurrected subsequently.

SJ had this sudden memory recollection of HC, Da Bin and DK after the pretend kidnap with the violin music in the background.
He looks at his wife’s photos and has a flashback to dg saying he has things he will stake his life on.
It is confusing now because Ae Ri actually meets up with Sj in her timeline. When I see SJ on screen sometimes, I do not know which timeline I am watching.

SJ of the past has ALSO memory flashes from alternate timeline. AHHaha… This is a real plus in this drama that we don’t have in other time travel dramas.

That is one of the challenging aspects of these timelines. As I was watching today, I was thinking how I had totally missed that.There was a timeline.The two of them were in together, When I first watched this show.
I think.
Of it as the middle time line but what it really is is the first time line was marching on and it is still the one month before timeline.
@We, yes the memory flashes are interesting. In nine nine times, the protagonist and anyone who became aware of the incense sticks would remember the previous time lines from then on, but their past selves would remain unaware.
Here, the past self does remember, but it seems to be only AFTER it would have happened if the past was still on the previous time line. I remember reading an article about needing a new grammar to discuss time travel, clearly that last sentence indicates that (LOL).
I think One of the criteria for choosing the actor for the second lead.Was that he be close to the male leads height So they could have those eye to eye stand offs.

I have been thinking about whether A person in one time line is essentially the same or different than the same person in another time line.
The Way they remember other timelines makes me think they are still the same person and need to be held responsible for what they have done in other timelines.
This is the episode where SJ becomes a true Hero. These lines: ‘In the past, or the present, or the future, I have never expected a pain free life. But that there can be no hope without facing the truth, I realize it now.’ He is set on the path to truth whatever the consequence to himself.

I like the scene in the earlier time frame in the jail between DG and Lee Taek Kyu, where TK tells DG that he is at risk. Sort of an ‘honor between thieves’ moment.
@MM you can almost always tell which time frame it is by the color wash. No color for memories. Tan for the past time line. Blue for the current time line.

In short DG learns that having the proof won’t help to save HC… It’s progressing. Of course it’s HC error. But he loves her beyond her mistakes.
Now she lies to him. But anyway, he doesn’t care.
He can take her lies because he loves her beyond the sky.
+flashback of SJ confirming he will die if he save her.
This couple scene is awesome.
He knows everything, but anyways…. See what happen next. It’s the HUGE multi-contextual situation I was talking about. Yeah, I hope you are not disappointed. BUT it’s not over yet, of course we need to watch the conclusion of this amazing situation that the write have build carefully in a so complicated script.
I am only now atDGs Multicontextual scene. I want to watch it again but I’ll never get to the end of this drama today Or at least in time for breakfast.
Why happen at the end? Ae Ri showed up at the building where SJ is supposed to be thrown down from?

@SD I am not seeing the color wash changes. I do not know if it is my tablet or my eyes. Perhaps I have the brightness turned up to high.
HC also grows in this drama. When she is asked by DG if she has any regrets she says, ‘ I do not’. But boy, after DG’s death she has regrets! Forced to grow!(perhaps-she does not seem to think beyond herself except in her love for her child).
I think SJ has send the phone recording proof in the past.
Then die in present day but don’t care because he knows AR in past will change this.

Finished the episode yet. I am thinking what a difficult situation.The second male lead finds himself in. He learns that he protected his lover and died at the same time.He learns his lover died as we see in a flashback to another time line.
If he breaks up with her to Save his own life he may be leaving her to die again.

@MM and @FF, it is the color of the backgrounds. The ‘current’ time line always has a blue look, the ‘past’ time line has a tan look. Since we do not ever see Ae Ri in the current time line, look at the scenes with her, then find one right after a date stamp change and see if you can tell the difference. The date stamps help of course. It would be WAY too confusing otherwise.

@FF About his father’s words. I do not think I am at that scene yet.But I wonder if it might have been in the video that we did not hear that he played on his computer
I guess the director knows that there are people like me who is not very sensitive to colour hues, and he placed the time stamp to help us out lol.
I cheated last week and watched these last two episodes. Yet I am still confused.😊
What I do Remember was being impressed with how even in the last episode.The tension was kept up until the very end.

Actually you can see it really well in at ~ minute 52. Future time line, blue look, SJ in a jacket walks down the hallway. Past time line, tan look, SJ in a suit walks down the same hallway.
I sort of figured out the “tan” at the last scene when SJ watched from the car towards the building
“SJ walked from the car towards the building.”
